"I don't think destroying it is the way to go. If was as simple as hitting it with a bigger rock and crushing it, that would be cool. But I can only imagine that releasing that many spirits at once is dangerous. Salena continues. "But ah... You might want to tell me a little more about this sealing process. I've know a lot about local legends, but not so much about a Pokemon like Spiritomb." Raven shrugs. "I only know what the legend says, and it doesn't mention anything about sealing aside from "it was sealed away for its sins"; though I think that my refer to the souls inside the Keystone rather than the stone itself. Makes some sense, since the first Spiritomb was supposedly made up of the souls of evil people (or at least convicted criminals). To find out more, you'd probably have to ask a historian."

"Yeah. I think so. Maybe we can-" Salena stops. Oh! Pokédex message! She quickly goes along to check it. She glowers angrily. "Blasted ducks! Foul water fowl they are. A curse on them and their horde..." Oh she could see them now. Laughing. Smirking. And their odious little saccharine quacks UGH! It belied their true nature of evil. Bah! I hope you popped the salty ducks right in the mouth! They need to learn they better beak-careful who about who they are messing with! And with that, she clicks the Pokédex shut and turns back to Raven. "That was Jane. She'll be here a bit. Golducks assaulted her on the way over."

Raven quirks an eyebrow at yet another bird-related tirade, but decides not to bring it up. "She probably inadvertently wandered into their territory. Wild Pokemon are known to attack humans that do so."

Jane looked at her new message and chuckled. Hopefully the Golducks had learned to be a bit more careful with their bag-theft. Hopefully!
After a brief stay at the pokécenter Jane felt warm and dry enough to head out (and she didn't want to keep the others waiting for too long!). Finding the way to Mr Fuji's house wasn't too hard - luckily Lavender town was sorta small. And eventually she was finally there!
"Heya guys!" she called out in greeting once she spotted Raven and Lavender. Waving and smiling, clearly in a good mood, she approached and then looked around a bit. "Riley's not here? Huh ... Eh I'm sure she'll show up eventually! Oh and how has you twos day been?"

"Aha! Hallo! Riley's probably up at the tower yet. That's where I saw her last." Chirps Salena. "As for myself ah... I'm doing ok! It's been two parts good and about three parts bad today."
"The good, is that Mrs. Christie does look absolutely wonderful. She's gotten a lot stronger and her new look is fantastic! The bad is however that I might not be able to join you if you guys look around the tower. I ah... Kind of checked it out earlier. I've got a lot of history with this town, so I needed to find out if bringing the keystone to the Pokémon Tower would be dangerous. And ah... It is. The guardian did not like that idea. At all. So, I can't go back until I find away to get rid of or stabilize this stone one way or another. But, I'm ok with waiting around a bit if you guys are wanting to check it out yourselves!"

"M'kay. Maybe we should try and figure out someplace else to go and ask about the stone?" Jane replied. It was a pity that it didn't look like Riley would make it - but it also didn't look like they had much business at the tower anyhow. Oh well. At least the Rock Tunnel had been interesting. Not to mention her Suicune sighting! But now - what about the keystone? Flipping up her pokédex Jane started to search around the net for something ... "Hmm. There used to be a museum on Cinnabar, but I'm not sure if it is still around? Maybe such a place would have a few more pointers!"
SE|ZNMef5d6 Tech Ed to google after Kanto Museums - preferably if there was any that dealt with ghost pokémon or the occult. Such a place would be interesting to visit even if they didn't have this soul-stealing thing in their luggage!
"Oh but I can look into that more later. For now - can I see Mrs. Christie if that is okay? It's always fun to see cool pokémon!" With a grin she added. "And if we don't need to visit the tower right now couldn't you give us a tour of the town Lavender?"5d6

The oldest museum in Kanto is the Pewter Museum, which deals mainly in fossils, but also has a lot of stuff related to the history of the Kanto region. There used to be a lab on Cinnabar Island, but it was destroyed when the volcano erupted ~28 years ago and was never rebuilt. Same with most of the old buildings on Cinnabar. Aside from the Gym (which is now inside the volcano proper), it's mainly a tourist destination/resort.

"Oh! Absolutely! On both points!" Salena replies. A few moments later, Mrs. Christie is released into the open air. Her robes fluttered quietly in the wind, as she grinned passively at her trainer's friends. "They say that old witches sometimes based their costumes on Mismagius' designs, so when I made my own costume, I tried to make it look like her! It took me months, but now that Mrs. Christie is a real Mismagius, I think I did a good job!"
"Mag." Says the ghost, possibly in agreement. She floats lazily around Jane, a small grin spreading across her face. Salena tapped a finger on her chin quietly.
"You know... I kind of think she likes you. If you ever need an extra Ghost on your team, I think she'd be happy to work with you. Just let me know, and I'd be happy to loan her to you for a bit!"
"But for now... The tour!" Salena announces. "As you can probably tell, the Lavender Town Pokémon Tower is the main landmark for the town. It's number one haunted landmark in all of Kanto, and the best place to find Ghost Pokémon anywhere! The original Pokémon Tower was torn down years ago to build a radio tower, but that caused a big stink for everyone involved. Due to... Technical difficulties, the radio company was eventually forced to move their operations to Saffron, and the Pokémon Tower was rebuilt. But, that's not the only landmark we have!"
"Outside of the Pokémon Center and the crazy guy down the street who rates Pokémon names, we have, dun da da dun, the Fuji House Foundation! This place! Mr. Fuji was a notable philanthropist and leader of the town. He spent his whole life here in Lavender Town sheltering abandoned and injured Pokémon. After he died, a group of citizens got together and formed Fuji House to continue the cause of helping Pokémon everywhere!"
She smiled. "If you'd like, you can go inside and poke your head around. We really don't mind visitors; especially if you're thinking of volunteering for a while."

"Hmm. The Museum in Pewter specializes in fossils - and this is sorta an old pokémon that also comes from a rock?" Jane notes, not entirely convinced by her argument. With a shrug she puts the dex away. "Could be worth a shot!"
But let's leave that topic for now. There was already an really cool ghost type in front of her as Lavender introduced her to Mrs. Christie v2! "She's really cool! Oh and I can see the similarities!" Jane grins. It was always nice to see that the stuff she tinkered with worked. Especially if it led to awesome pokémon. "I'll make sure to take up that offer one day I think."
"Oh I thought the tower was really really old. It sure feels that way... " she nods and looks around herself to see all the things Lavender was pointing at. Well, the direction they were in at least! Only the tower was tall enough to be seen over the other buildings. And Mr Fuji's house of course - since they were next to it! With a chuckle Jane nodded again. "I wouldn't mind taking a look. Could use some relaxing encounters with pokémon today as well!"

"I think so! It's good to remember that Pokémon are companions first. It's nice to play around some times!" Agrees Salena. She moves towards the door and gestures a smile. "Just ah, if you hear anything weird ah, don't mind it too much. Please?"
And with that Salena ushers everyone inside. She quietly wonders... Who might be working front end today?

With a shrug she puts the dex away. "Could be worth a shot!" "From what little I understand, the Keystone is merely a containment device for the 108 souls that make up a Spiritomb. I doubt the Pewter Museum could tell us much, though it seems plausible they could point us in the right direction." Raven remarks. The inside of Fuji House Adoption Center is about as lively as always. That is to say: Not terribly so. Still, the various Pokemon seem to be enjoying themselves in their Type-based enclosures. Fuji House has always made it a point that prospective adopters should interact with the Pokemon so they can tell if their personalities will mesh well. Naturally, most Pokemon that are up for adoption are first-form Pokemon that can't take care of themselves. Things like Eevee (though these are often rescues from uncouth 'breeding centers/Eevee mills'), Baby Pokemon, etc. The people behind the front desk recognize Salena, naturally, and greet her as usual. Her mom isn't out front right now, but is probably around somewhere if one had a mind to go looking for her.

"And even a point in the right direction is more then we have right now!" Jane nods in agreement.
---
Jane briefly greets the people of the desk then focuses on the main attraction - all those adorable pokémon! She walks around slowly to try and get an as good as possible view of every pokémon in there. Hopefully something would catch her eye - or try and catch her. Now she was mainly looking for something that might be useful on her team in the future. But she wasn't above caring for something just for their utility. Or because they were adorable. Looking around she realized the last criteria miiiigh be very risky. But on the other hand - they had a ranch ...

Salena returns the greeting to the volunteer with a smile. Bah! It was that one guy. The guy whose name she could never remember. His blank, expressionless face always burnt slats into the back of her eyes. No matter! She walks up briskly. "Hey! If you see my mom around, feel free to let her know I'm here. I'm just showing a few friends about. We'll let you guys know if we need anything!"
Then, to her companions, "Ok! So we've got lot's of places to look around if you'd like. Most of these guys are pretty friendly, though the Dark Types like Mr. Kitty can be temperamental."Her eyes glance over, catching the flittering of a tiny feather. A tiny Pidgey was watching her closely. Too closely. Salena glares daggers at the fiend. "...I think you know which ones to avoid."

The tiny Pidgey glares tiny daggers right back at Salena. Then it's joined by more. Pretty soon, all the birds up for adoption are starting her down.
Meanwhile, Raven and Natalie walk around slowly, making sure to at least look at all of the critters up for adoption at this time. She focuses especially on the ones that others might not find 'cute', and thus would be more likely to be passed over for adoption. While she's not planning to adopt today, she still makes sure to spend a little time with these.

Salena turns her nose up at the odious little creatures, muttering something derogative towards bird-kind underneath her breath. Mrs. Christie, perhaps a bit concerned by her trainer's staring, gently pulls her towards the Ghost-Type area. There probably weren't many; the Pokémon Tower was already an excellent natural habitat for Ghosts, but on occasion one wouldn't fit in quite right away.
But really though? Anything to stop her trainer from glaring at the birds. It was... Unsettling.

Luckily for the Fuji House, they had an employee able to craft Cleanse Tags to ensure the Ghost-Types don't just phase through walls and frighten people or other Pokemon.
Jane, meanwhile, spots a HootHoot in the Flying-Type Enclosure. As she heads over to say hello to it, she gets this feeling something is watching her. Turning around, she sees that Salena and the birds are having a staring contest (at least until Ms. Christie drags her off). The birds slowly return to whatever they were doing before when she leaves. However, that feeling persists. Then, something touches her leg...

Hoothoots are cool! Jane thought to herself as she headed towards the bird wondering how she could try and steal its attention from Lavender. Maybe I should have brought some seeds? Not that she was particularly sure Hoothoots even ate seeds. But the pidgeys in the parks back home sure liked them. And they were sorta similar right?
"Hmm?" What was that? She thought someone had called her name but ... No. With a confused frown she turned back towards the owl pokémon. Also - seeing a ghost actually drag someone is sorta impressive! Oh there was that strange feeling again. But ... Almost tactile? She could almost swear that something was touching her leg. Wait...! Jane looked down it a start and exclaimed "Eep!"

Jane's "eep" ends up startling the Dunsparce that was rubbing against her leg. She could swear that the birds in the enclosure looked amused. Dunsparce is now hiding behind a nearby chair. In the shadow of the chair, she could swear its eyes looked like the glowed red for a moment. Creepy.

Red eyes? Now Jane must be imagining things! She had never heard of any Dunsparce with glow-in-the-dark eyes. But to be fair she didn't really hear about that many Dunsparce. Any Dunsparce really. Oh it does seem like a criteria three! Getting down on her knees Jane start talking softly to the Land Snake and slowly extends a hand, ignoring the bird pokémon for now. "Hi there! Sorry I just didn't see you at first ... Want to try saying hi again?"
