D'Mara flashes you a small smile, then gets up and leaves. Naturally, the bill has already been taken care of, so you're free to go whenever.
As D'Mara leaves, Raven lets out a breath she didn't realize she'd been holding in. "I really don't like that woman. Something about her just rubs me the wrong way. The worst part is that pleasant facade she puts up in front of others..." She looks at Salena and Jane. "Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels this way."

Jane makes sure to wait a really long time until she answers. Just in case... And she still had her warm drink to enjoy!
"Mm something is a bit off... I can't help but feel a bit like Hans and Gretel. At least she's courteous! Heh."
Jane sighs and eases up a bit. It really was a nice day and café. Mm a pity they couldn't stay untill tomorrow.
"All-right! Should we finish up here and head for the tunnel? I want a better look at that big thing! And if we manage to find another Sykata we could get a second opinion just in case ..."

"I'm in agreement!" Salena says, downing the green tea and standing up at the table at an alarming rate. Mr. Kitty holds on for dear life as Salena poses dramatically. "Ooh! We're going to find that thing too. The big thing! I'm not sure if I we can capture something like that, but I'ma definitely take a picture of it or something! That'll be cool, and I'm sure D'mara would appreciate it!"
Her grin widens to a frightening level. Ooh! She finally got a hand on how to make Caltrops, Nakelya style. She could probably stand to make some of those as well, but, eh. If there wasn't enough time, there wasn't enough time. She had a good supply of things either way! She then frowns a little. "I guess that is to say, but I didn't mind her too much. She was aloof, but she didn't threaten us or anything like that."

"She just didn't feel right. Just ... Weird. And vaguely uncomfortable." Jane mused, finding it interesting that Lavender was the one that didn't mind someone odd with an obsession for shadowy pokémon. Mgm. Very strange. I'll never figure that one out! She chuckled and returned Nie to her ball. "Oh but that's not here or there. Anyway! Before we head down the tunnels again; I have something for you two!"
Her smile widens to almost-Lavender level, not quite though, as she digs through her bag. After some rumbling she triumphantly pulls out three small pouches on string-necklaces. "There! I made some temporary wards that should help against the Sykatas. But they don't last very long and needs to be personally attuned. So I thought I'll do that right away before we head down ..."

After the dwebble battle Jane bumps poor Alice with a revive and a super potion, just in case that they would need all hands on deck later. And then some invigorating peptalk! And a shiny new bow.

Salena spends her time rehydrating the blobfish, before patting it on the head and letting it know that she might need to spend some time with it later. A few sprints and chin-ups would be the perfect thing to get it moving again!
Before the room, she also finds a Nest Ball of some kind. Perhaps the Pokémon left it as an offering? It was a bit confusing. But at least that meant they would be ready for the main event.

In one quick swipe, Ms. Christie goes down hard and the creature turns towards its next remaining target: Raven. She not only weathers the powerful blow, but hits it right back just as hard. The otherworldly creature screeches in rage as a strange, dark portal opens up behind it, slowing dragging it back into whatever realm it came from. All that remains is deafening silence after the echoes of its screams finish resonating throughout the cavern.
Raven breathes a sigh of relief as she goes over to awaken Jane and dumps a revive on Salena.
The party earns a Milestone for defeating the Dungeon Boss and gains 140 Poke XP each.

Salena revives as a conveniently named revive is unceremoniously shoved down her throat. She wakes up coughing and sputtering. Her eyes glance fearfully. No big guy. Where the heck was the big guy?!
"Did we lose?! Why are we still alive? Where is-"
"PURRRR!" Salena's loud reverie is immediately nullified by a pouncing cat hitting her face with perhaps overzealous furrrrvor. Wait. Wasn't Mr. Kitty the first- Oh Arceus, all of her Pokémon were fainted. All around her was littered with the bodies of fallen Ghost Types. There was Mr. Brown, Mr. Blobfish, and of course, the brave Sir Stalwart. By the light of Raven's flashlight, she could even spot the glimmering form of Mrs. Christie, fainted and collapsed on the ground. The only one she couldn't see was Mr. Fuji.
AH!!! Mr. Fuji! She quickly tossed him out and lo and behold, the lazy gaseous ghost emerged, confused and maybe a little bit tired. He gives Salena a small little grin, but oohhh no. He's not getting off that easily. The Ghostly girl groans and picks herself off the floor. "H-hey Jane. Raven! Are you two O.K?"

Jane stumbles back up and tries to piece together the last few moments. When she realizes that she still can taste the bitterness of the pesterball she groans. While she wasn't sure how, at least she knew why ...
"I'm okay!" she sighs in relief and looks around. No trace of the big one? Mmm. "And it looks like we won! Yeah great job!"

"Yeah that's how we know we won!" Jane grins and goes to pet Tia. The dragalge had done good. Well she assumed anyway! Now that they weren't in constant conflict she also took a moment to look around. "Hmm is this as deep as the cave goes? Let's look around a bit. Maybe the Sykata also hoards shiny rocks like Sableye?"

"I think that wouldn't be a bad idea~." Salena says, chugging a bottle of water like there was no tomorrow. With her free arm, she gave Mr. Kitty a tight, tight squeeze. "Something has to be done to make up for Mr. Fuji being so lazy, right Mr. Kitty?"
The cat purred. Yes, lazy ghost is lazy and no good! No good lazy- Oh geeze, he was evolving.
As if to upstage the going ons of the moment, Mr. Fuji decides that now would be a good opportunity to evolve. His body elongates and sharpens in a whirlwind of blinding light, before arriving at last with definition. Where there used to be no hands, a pair of decidedly sharp claws manifested alongside a pair of equally cutting eyes. Salena is not impressed.
"...You're not off the hook that easily you know." She says with a pout. The young girl gets up with a start and begins collecting the horde of ghostly bodies about her. When she finishes, she whirls with a smile on her companions. "Ok! Lets go see if they had any treasure!~"

"The big thing got pulled back through some sort of strange portal when it was defeated. Apparently it's from another world altogether and defeating it used up the last of the energy keeping it here. It didn't seem happy about going back, though that may just be because it wanted to brutalize us some more." Raven shrugs. "As for 'shiny rocks', how would they even tell if the rocks are shiny if they live in pitch-black caves? Aside from that, we don't know how many more of those Sykata things are in here. I seriously doubt there are only ten. We should get out of here before they decide to come out again."
Karen exudes a calming scent from her flower.

"A portal?" Jane perks up from her already upright stance and shines her flashlight towards the spot where she last saw the big creature. A portal! "That's ... uh not normal is it? Though nothing down here seems normal. Hmm I wonder were that lead. And if I really want to find out."
"And aren't Sableye supposed to eat gemstones? I mean they have to find them somehow ..." Jane replies defensively and shuffles around with her backpack until she finds her dowsing rods. "I'll use these! Oh just a quick sweep and then I'm ready to leave!"

Salena opens her mouth to say something, but it wasn't as if Raven didn't have a point. The others seemed like they were holding up, but at the same time, she was barely standing on adrenaline and pure will power. Not to mention the rope climb that was inconveniently scheduled for today. Eheh...
"Ok yeah. One quick sweep, but then I think Raven's right. We may want to skedaddle."

If you aren't with us when we leave, you can just play catch-up." Raven collects the remains of busted Poke Balls for recycling and recalls Karen. She then heads for the path to keep watch and make sure nothing is sneaking up on them from outside. It seems doubtful that would happen, but you never know.

As Jane did her own little search, Salena did some thinking. It was more than abundantly clear that this wasn't exactly a normal thing, but maybe she could remember seeing something about this sort of extra-planar thing on the forums. Time to put her thinking hat on...
