Ferro saw the beam of light from the Boldore and lift his bucker preporation of the attack however the force was too strong and Ferro felt his shield arm slip. With a pain grunt Ferro stepped back from the impact the sense of his magical items working against the attack alerting him to just how strong the blow would have been otherwise. Bismuth on the other hand took the full brunt of the attack “Geh, Bismuth clear the way and fall get ready to blitz!”The Automateon plants itself in front of the Boldore and let loss let out a clear roar as grey particles raised from the earth and formed into metallic spheres above Bismuth and launch itself at the Boldore. Seeing the Boldore still standing and with little to no place left to go to thanks in part to Nyx barrier, Ferro raise his sword and strikes in hope of dispelling the construct. Bismuth attacks Boldroe 3 with Magnet Bomb. Magnet Bomb cannot miss. Damage: 31 (Physical, Steel)
Bismuth than moves to B8
Ferro also attacks Boldore 3

Happy to see her foe fall, Saryn commands Pox to attack another opponent, this time going for one of the two monsters that are now in front of her. Pox spits a large ball of sludge at it. Saryn proudly strides forward, taking an offensive front line position in their formation. She raises her sword to the sky and unleashes a burst of poisonous magic, hoping that the two blue jeweled monsters don't manage to dodge. She then raises her shield swiftly to protect herself from their attacks. Pox Sludge on Carbink 5 AC2 vs 8 Damage: 62 Poison Special
Saryn Magic Burst on Carbink 4 and 5 AC2 vs 13 Damage: 71 Poison Special
Saryn uses Fortress to Mark Carbink 4 and 5. Both foes take a -5 penalty to Attack Rolls Saryn uses Shield Bearer to ready her Shield as Swift Action. +10 DR and +4 Evasion until the end of the next turn.

The first volley of Gems aside, the group of the youngest sage started their own response. Though there was a jarring realization that sprung upon them, The first two creatures hadn't disappeared yet. Unlike their own arcane constructs which would normally disappear if knocked to the ground, these ones were still there even after losing consciousness.
Ashe and his pokemon did their best to strike at two of the Boulders. His Arrow strikes true, actually landing a shot into the side of the massive rock creature, but it seemingly stood against the strike. Similarly the other boulder didn't even react as the bugs flew into him. Nyx created a number of barriers to guard herself against the oncoming onslaught. The first of the group, a Boulder hurled a rock against it, tracking the wall in one strike. Her own cat construct, released a blast of energy at one of the other creatures in the area, blasting it through it's tough exterior. Jonna and her pokemon both lay strikes into the nearby Boulder, but it stands up against the onslaught barely hanging on as it stares down at the gourgeist. Ferro and Saryn do their best to attack the magical creatures near them. Ferro's Atonomeon releasing a blast of energy into it's foe, and Ferro's blade bouncing off the outside of the hard gem covered rock. Sayrin's luck is far better as she and her construct release blasts of poison that seemingly corrode easily through their gems. One of the small gem rocks stands, but the other falls to the ground, stopping movement. Though like the other constructs, not disappearing.
The gem creatures all turned towards their own opponents, and started releasing wave upon waves of gems at them. Doing their best to pelt the entire group with a hail of Baseball sized gems.

The rock the boldore threw up into the air came crashing down right on target, arcing up to land on Scout's back. She fell out of the sky just barely catching herself before fully landing on the ground. The delicate membrane of one of her wings was bent, but it seemed like otherwise her extremely hard carapace had mostly deflected the attack. Her wings buzzed heavily, trying to flick the crease out of the injured wing as best they could. For now, she was grounded. But she had been ordered to run interference and as such she would do so. A quick calculation was passed between Ashe and the construct. These things' rock armor was hard to hit at an angle that would pierce their defenses, and they needed every ounce of damage they could get to knock them out. So, then, slow them down. There was two positions the vespiquen construct could get to, a safer and a more dangerous route, but the dangerous route offered better coverage of the battlefield. Vespiquen half pulled herself forward, getting enough lift on the broken wings to move a few feet before setting down, weaving dangerously between two of the rock-constructs. Once in position, she focused, and a sweet smelling ooze bubbled out of her honeycombs, golden like honey. Magically crafted, only the enemy would feel the mind-fuzzing effect that should slow them down and make them easier to hurt. Ashe hadn't liked that move that had brought vespiquen to the ground. He'd have to keep an eye out for it in the future as he somewhat relied on Vespiquen's ability to move around the field to his targets. Ashe also knew that he was better off doing less frequent, but more accurate shots. Ducking down to avoid some of the flying rocks being thrown around, Ashe moved down the wall, so he oculd be closer to where they seemed to be moving together towards the middle. Breathing carefully, he once again took aim. Vespiquen (ground speed 3) moves diagonally to c8 then diagonally to d7, incurring AoO from Boldore 3 and carbink 4 Vespiquen uses Sweet Scent AC 2 VS 11, keen eye, friendly, burst two If hit, Boldores 3 and 5, and carbink 3, 4 and 6 all get -2 to their evasion.
Ashe spends 1 AP to memorize Smack Down Ashe shifts to A10 and uses Take Aim, +1 acc to total of +2, double damage roll if he hits next turn.

As the barrier causes the creatures to fall back, Nyx quickly beckons for her summon to follow and rushes along the top of the gate to get a clear line of fire at the other. This was actually kind of fun. She could see why people wanted to be knights! She had already blasted one and cut off the others! Surely her heroes would love her for the help. She moved quickly and crossed onto the gate and looked at another of the rock things. Alright, she just had to repeat what she did last time. She raised a hand to tell her construct to wait until she had weakened the creature. Then she took a deep breath and focused her psychic energy and hurled a blast at the creature to knock it backwards and away from the gate. After the strike, she motioned for her construct to follow onto the gate and attack as well. The Meowstic nodded and ran just past her and fired another of its psychic beams at the creature. Meowstic holds until after Nyx. Nyx shifts to A6 and uses psychic. Acc 18, damage: 36 special psychic. Boldore's special defense stage is lowered by 1. Boldore is pushed 1m backwards to D6
Meowstic shifts to A7 and also attacks Boldore 3 with psybeam. Acc 10, damage 47 special psychic. (remember -1 special def stage)

Joanna, and Bandersnatch both combine their attacks to hopefully fell one of the Boldores. Joanna opens her book, and some spooky shadows reach out to swipe at the construct. The big Gourgeist continues its never ending stream of leaves fly out to cut down the Boldore.

Saryn smiled as her attacks downed another Carbink. She wasted no time and had Pox attack the next target, choosing not to attack one of the previously damaged constructs, but instead go for a fresh one. The cat construct quickly released a spray of acid designed to lower its defenses. With impeccable timing, Saryn followed this up with a thrust of her sword, causing a resonating beam of energy to lance through the air and hopefully through two now weakened constructs. She then raised her shield once more in preparation to take more attacks. Pox uses Acid Spray on Carbink 6 AC2 vs 18 Damage: 47 Poison Special
Saryn uses Resonance Beam on Carbink 4 and 6 AC3 vs 12 Damage: 57 Poison Special
Saryn uses Fortress to Mark Carbink 4 if it isn't downed. Saryn uses Shield Bearer to ready her Shield as Swift Action.

Ferro grunts as the strange constructs hurl beams of light at him. All of them were weaker can then first attack but Ferro could tell if they kept their attack up like this he'll go down especially if they decided to focus all of the attacks. 'And my attacks keeps missing, well, it's not like it was made to fight these foes.' Raising his buckler, Ferro prepares for another onslaught. "Bismuth, make a hole in these rock heads." Bismuth launch himself forward generating speed as he hurls himself face first into the carbink laying directly in his path. Ferro use a standard action to ready his shield Bismuth use Iron Head on Carbink 4 AC3 vs 2 Damage 40 Steel Physical, not that it matters

Moving together and taking on the onslaught, the group was doing rather well. With a quick couple of blasts from Nyx and her construct, the rock crab fell to the ground unconscious. Though she wasn't the only one to make one drop at the moment, as Joana on the other side of the field used her shadows, and used her pokemon to release a large swath of leaves at another one, causing it to hit the ground unconscious. This left Ferro and Sayrn in the center of the fight to take on the carbinks. Ferro's shield was lifted, and Bismouth tried to strike at the opponent with his head. Though it just struck into it, clearly having only landed a blow on the crystals. That strike of course wasn't useless as it kept it in place so that Sayrn could line up a shot of energy striking that carbink and another. Her pokemon following up on the second strike. The Carbink that had been blasted and struck fell down to the ground, but the undamaged of the two stayed up barely standing against the pain that was now radiating through it. Half of the enemies were now down, though strangely despite the lack of a user, and the fact they were constructs. The bodies laid there still, on the ground despite the fact they should be gone already. It was strange, even more so now that they they suddenly started glowing. The unconsious ones on the ground suddenly became covered in crystals before shattering. and turning into a number of gems on the ground. Lights shooting out of them, and flying into the sky. It was only a moment later, all of the remaining constructs, suddenly changed in color. Their crystals which had previously been both blue on the carbink's and red on the boulders suddenly changed to purple. They move all forward advancing toward the gate, they all turned and aimed their crystals launching them towards Pox without any concern for their own health. Take your free opportunity attacks.

As another target of hers falls, Nyx grins excitedly. This was going great! She was fighting like a knight and being a hero and they were winning! She wasn't sure what the rock thing was, but her heroes probably knew so she could just ask them after. As the creatures all started firing in unison, Nyx frowned. It seemed different, especially with the color change. However, she quickly grinned as she thought of a way to use that to her advantage and also look like a total hero to the dashing knights. She signaled for her construct to fire a beam at the closest boldore and then move behind the barrier. After it fired its beam of psychic, Nyx released a small weaker blast of her own. It was far weaker than any of her other psychic magic, but she needed to build up her energy for the next blast. "Hey you stupid rocks! Try that on me if you can!" She taunted waving her hands to try and make herself appear a bigger target. Meowstic uses psybeam on Boldore 4 Acc: 7, Damage 34 special psychic
Meowstic shifts to A4
Nyx uses confusion on Boldore 4 Acc: 13, Damage 26 special psychic
She also shit talks and tries to wave and get these rock monster attention.

The adrenaline and tunnel-vision of battle had pushed the questions Ashe had about the strange masterless constructs out of his mind. But when the 'corpses' of the constructs suddenly crystallized and shattered, shooting beams into the sky. There was no way he could avoid seeing that. What the hell was going on? It clearly gave some sort of feedback to the ones that remained, as their crystals all changed color and changed tactics. They brutally turned to the poison construct, and practically obliterated it with a hailstorm of rocks. Ashe wasn't even thinking of it, but his construct was well trained and as she saw the constructs shift their focus away from their defenses to aim at Pox, with a single sweep she swung her heavy mace-like abdomen across three of the constructs next to her. Her focus not wavering for a second, she was ready to strike again. "Maybe we should talk about concentrating fire too? The fewer there are to do that the less likely they are to take someone down again," Ashe shouted to the others. It was hard when they were spread out as they were, but he figured he'd put the suggestion out there. Of course, he'd practice his own suggestion. "Scout, there's one getting past us to the gate!"Vespiquen turned, once again moving to bite one of the boldore, the bug energy coursing through her and reinforcing her chitin. Following suit, Ashe released another arrow into the same construct, Scout just missing her follow up swing. Attacks of opportunity AC 4 18 on Boldore 4, for 27 normal, physical damage 10 on Carbink 2, for 25 normal, physical damage 11 on Carbink 3, for 25 normal, physical damage
Pack tactics pre-rolled for Ferro in case he hits. 16 vs ac 5 for 1 tick hp damage.
Bugbite AC 2 vs Boldore 4 19, for 34 bug physical
Ashe uses 1 AP to memorize Power Gem. Ashe ranged struggle vs Boldore 4 10 vs AC 2, 34 physical normal damage
Vespi whiffs with a 6 vs AC 5 on pack tactics (I'm assuming)

Joanna watches the bodies of the defeated constructs disappear in the way they do, and waves her hat around to get dust away from her face. She then scratches her head. "This is really bizarre..." She then watches as the remaining rocks gather together, change color, and blast Pox away. Joanna gets an uneasy feeling in her stomach as that might happen to one of them. "That...is very bad...If they're gonna start focusing on one, then we have to hurry!" Joanna, and Bandersnatch move forward to focus on the nearest Boldore with another two hit combo of a shadowy punch, and a hail of sharp leaves.
Joanna hits Boldore 5: 29 Ghost Physical
Bandersnatch hits Boldore 5: 40 Grass Physical

"What the hell..." Ferro ferrowed his brows in confusion as the gems covering the constucts changed color and began focusing their attacks. Catching the Boldure next to him focused on attacking elsewhere, Ferro dart forward willing for his sword to strike true at this opportunity only for him to completely miss his mark. "Today sure doesn't seem to be my day.." Ferro mumbles as he catch himself from the fumble. Ferro took in the situratiion of the battle and calls of his comrades while he tries to figure out just what they were up against. 'Just what are this things? Why the change? Where is the caster?' Ferro couldn't help the questions racing through his mind as he turn to take command. "I agree, everyone focus your attacks and either stay out of range or gather around Saryn! Saryn, see if you can't get in the middle of the line so we can have a solid front!" Ferro point his sword at Bismuth's spot just as the construct moves to make room for the toxic mage, if she so choose to press forward. Returning his attention to the Boldure beside him Ferro once more attacks with his sword while on the other side of the field Bismuth unleash another beam of light assisting Joanna and her construct against the other boldure. Ferro Attacks Boldure 4 with Pierce! AC3 vs 2 Ferro rolls an 18 on an Occult Education role to learn something about their opponent.

As the group started to gather around Sayrin in an attempt to defend them, they worked together in order to take down the foes in front of them in the most timely manner they could. They split themselves into two teams, one team attacking the crab rock creature on one side, and the other attacking the one on the other.
The group working together properly managed to strike hard from all angles taking down the two rock crab creatures and they fell to the ground un-moving.
Or at least that was for a moment, before their bodies again started glowing, and then became covered in crystals before shattering once more. More lights shooting out of them and being launched skywards. Then suddenly the crystals changed color again, this time their bodies changing to an olive green and they turned toward the vespequeen launching an onslaught of rocks and crystals at the queen bee knocking it to the ground.
It was at that moment that Ferro started to get at least a fraction of an idea what was happening. Whatever these things were, they were absorbing into them their magic. Then releasing the shot into the sky and presumably giving a signal to their leader. Though Ferro knew the process to enchant an item was far more difficult than this, and even more so to make it actually take on or absorb mana for the purposes of gathering power. What these things were doing were getting an imprint. An estimation of both their power, and their type of magic, sending it skywards.

Nyx frowned disappointed as they ignored her. She had a plan and everything! She took a deep breath and decided that perhaps just keeping up the fire from the back was for the best while the real knights fought up close. She ran along the top of the gate until she was facing the last Bouldore. "Alright..." She said with a grin as she hurled a blast of psychic energy straight at it. Afterward, she motioned for her construct to fire at it as well. If she could take out the big things, then the heroic knights could focus on the smaller ones! Joanna likes the look of things as the enemy's numbers start to go down. She decides to wrap around to attack the Carbink near the rear. Bandersnatch sings happily, and very creepily, as it approaches its foe. Its lower maw then opens, bright orange light, and what looks like confectioneries, bathe one of the Carbink. The eerie light also steals some vitality from the rock. "There we go! This one is now a ghost! And, I know a thing or two about dealing with 'em." Joanna slips through nearby shadows, and strikes the newly spooky Carbink with her own ghostly powers.
Gourgiest shifts to D10, and uses Trick or Treat vs Carbink 6
The target gains the Ghost Type in addition to its other Types for 5 turns.
Joanna activates Vampirism: Free Action Scenex2 "Trigger: Your Pokémon hits an adjacent foe with a Ghost-Type Move Effect: Choose a Stat. Joanna shifts to E9, and uses Shadow Sneak 8 vs AC2 DMG: 22 ghost phys

The rock-summons all changed color once again, taking on the yellow-green color of Ashe's vespiquen bug-energy. In unison the constructs turned to vespiquen and let loose a hail of rocks. The bee-like construct braced herself as her hard carapace did its best to deflect the blows. She dodged a few blasts, but was buried under the onslaught, she wouldn't be flying again until after this battle was over for sure. For a moment Ashe felt a bite of worry, but then his own construct burst out of the rocks, worse for the wear but not seriously injured, not yet at least. Ashe quickly realized that as long as he could keep Scout alive, she was a threat to all of the constructs around her, and she'd prevent them from attacking anyone else long range. "Scout, defense!"Vespiquen crossed her arms, and with a sudden glow released a burst of small hexagonal shields that buzzed around like bugs swarming their queen. Ashe would give up her bite attack if it kept up the pressure for her punishing their opponents' attacks. Ashe decided to help with that pressure rather than taking as careful an aim. He loosed another arrow, aiming for the boldore that Nyx and her construct had hit. Vespiquen uses Defend Order, +1 Def and SpDef CS
Ashe uses 1 AP to memorize Boldore Ashe shift action Aiming Down the Sights. +2 acc, +2 crit range Ashe fires ranged struggle attack against Boldore 5 13 vs AC 6 23 physical normal type damage

Information dawn on Ferro as the beam of olive green light was release but it took a second for him to find the words whilst doing battle."Who ever is controlling these construct is using them to get out sense of our strength and magic. Base on the lights so far I'd say they already got a sense of Ashe's and and Saryn's powers." Raising his sword once more Ferro strikes at the Boulder beside Scout. "Either this is a test or some one is preparing for an attack on the pot." Bismuth continues this time falling back on sure fire attacks to strike at the Carbink once more. Ferro attacks Boulder 5 with his sword.
Bismuth attacks Carbink 6 with Magnet Bomb.

The flurry of different blows sent the two constructs the groups were aiming at flying. Turning them both into crystals, as they fell to the ground. The other two remaining floating rocks looked at the group before suddenly turning into crystals themselves. The entire group turning once more into energy as the crystals shattered. Sending the glowing energy through the air.
The area around them grew quiet, as they heard something speak in the back of their heads. It was shelldon.
He told them, You guys handled it, nice job. I've called for reinforcements, but come back in and get some healing. We need to prepare for another attack if it comes....

Joanna lets out a sigh of relief as the battle winds down. She takes off her hat, and wipes her brow. These constructs were strange indeed. This was going to need looking into. so perhaps a trip to library was in order. She looks to her comrades, and waves her hat. "Oooiii! Good job, guys! Let's regroup inside!" She recalls her trusty pumpkin into its tome. "Thanks, Bandersnatch." She lightly jogs back into the building.
