It had been a month since they had found Nyx in the dungeon near The Pot. A month of training, and effort visiting smaller cleared Labyrinths have given the group time to grow accustomed to one another. Though more importantly it earned the group a simple break before they got their official first mission with the Order of the youngest sage. At least that was the plan.
The Pot as it was called was empty save for 2 other people there, Keil the main medical officer of the Order of the youngest sage, and their Senior a Teenager named Shelldon.
They had been told to take the week off and prepare to be sent on a first mission by next week. Though something had changed clearly, as a message rang into the group's heads.
Shelldon in a much more panicked metal voice than they've ever heard told them, "Guys get ready right now..... there's a bit of a situation outside guys."

Ashe had been planning for their first mission carefully over the past week, as much as he could anyways. They hadn't actually been given the mission so he couldn't exactly scout ahead as he would like to. Instead, he had simply seen to it that all of his traveling gear was in good shape, patching any holes and oiling his boots and cloaks to repel any water and rain they would run into. He was normally a patient person, when he had a goal in his sights, but he was getting a little tired of waiting.
He was waxing his bowstring, carefully running his fingers along the taught fibers to coat them, careful not to get any on the service areas. It was a blessing then, that his bow was so close at hand when the psychic alarm from Shelldon went off in his head, telling them to get ready now. How ready was ready? Did they need their travel gear or just their weapons? And what could it be outside that would require the services of the newest members of the youngest sage? Ashe didn't take time to ponder the answers before he responded to the call with action. Luckily, his bag had been sitting packed for a good few days and all he had to do was reach over and swing it onto his back and then his quiver.
Ashe was on the alert as he exited his room, pausing to see if anyone of his companions were coming out... plus Nyx he supposed.
I'm ready. Ashe thought purposefully, assuming Shelldon would hear it, I'm grabbing the others first unless you need me now.
He rapped on the closest doors to his own, Ferro and Joanna's, to urge them to come out and to make sure they were inside and responding.

Joanna was deep into another storybook when she heard Sheldon's voice. "Aww. Right at the good part too..." She set down her book, and grabbed her hat from headboard of her bed. She checked herself in the mirror before taking off. Her outfit might not seem like the best in terms of combat readiness, but it was a very special gift from Hannah, and Jelenna. She heard knocking at her door, and went to answer. "I'm coming. I'm coming." She opened the door, and smiled at Ashe, her archer compatriot. "Hey there. You got the message too? I'll go grab Nyx then!" She took off down a few halls till she found Nyx's room. Joanna knocked on the door hoping she was indeed here. "You there Nyx? Did you here Sheldon's message?"

Nyx had been laying in bed throughout the night trying to sleep before whatever mission the Youngest Sage group was going on. She knew she wasn't an official member, but she wanted to help the group anyways. However, any attempts to sleep had been plagued by dreams only showing fragments of her memory and then fading just as rapidly as she tried to grab onto them. It seemed like trying to remember was like trying to hold sand in a clenched fist as each time she felt she remembered something it was lost a moment later.
When morning came, the young woman was exhausted as her sleep had constantly been interrupted by waking up and trying to remember, before falling back asleep. When the message arrived to head outside, she quickly hoped up. "Ummm yeah, I'm here. I'll be right out!" She said quickly as she waved her hand to yank her outfit from where it was hanging and telekineticly dressed herself to speed things up. As she put on shirt, the telekinesis moved the pants and she stepped into them before applying the choker while guiding the sash around her with her mind. The young woman was dressed rapidly and opened the door to see Joanna, one of her saviors. "Do you need me? I'd love to help!" She said eagerly hoping for the chance to pay them back.
"Ummm, I wasn't able to get my weapons made by Sir Ferro yet, but I still have my own powers." She said. "Errr if we need weapons. Do you guys need weapons often?" She asked unsure how the knight business typically worked.

Joanna gave a bright smile as Nyx was looking good. She had looked rather rough the past few days, but it was easy on her mind that she was ok. Joanna tilted her head, and scratched her nose at Nyx's question. "Hmm. Now that you mention it, I didn't get a weapon either. I'm sure it'll be fine though. We'll get some later. Let's meet up with the others outside."

"Right, of course!" Nyx said with a quick bow, "As you say Lady Joanna." She said before moving to follow the other mage.

Saryn had been relaxing in her room. 'Relaxing' at the moment boiled down to writing a diary entry. In this entry she meticulously organized her thoughts and feelings. Mostly these were positive, after all, she had finally been free from the Orokin family and for a whole month at that! There was still fear that she would be sent back for some reason, like a bad performance, or her attitude, but she decided she wouldn't dwell on negative thoughts. Still, the idea that she might not be good enough only served to spur her on. She wanted to prove that she was a good Magic Knight, a great one even! She'd show everyone what she was made of. Saryn sighed and put the diary away, hiding it in a place no one would think to look. She knew all about those kinds of places, having had to hide her personal belongings from her 'siblings' lest they be tampered with, or trashed.
She reflected on the girl they had found in one of the dungeons, 'Nyx'. What is up with that girl, she wondered. There must be some kind of story to her and if it ended with her being trapped inside a Cofagrigus inside a labyrinth, it sure as hell must be an interesting one. She had telekinetic powers too, that must come from somewhere. Naturally, once she thought of Nyx, the girl who had accompanied her team on many excursions, her thoughts went to the rest of her team.
They were all quite interesting. Ferro was a craftsman and warrior, Ashe was a fine hunter and scout, though not much scouting had needed to be done so far and Joanna was apparently skilled in combat, both personally and with her construct.
Saryn laid back in her bed as she thought of herself in comparison to them. She smiled a little. We're not half bad as a team, she thought. Then came Shelldon's telepathic message. Saryn got a little flustered, hoping that he hadn't particularly listened in on what she had thought just a moment earlier. Regardless of that though, she immediately shifted into a combat ready mentality, grabbing her combat clothes and changing into them quickly. Her 'combat clothes' frankly looked like a mess in some places. They were ripped up and patched up in various places, and the belts she had weren't just for show, without them, the material would be a little too loose. Saryn quite liked the style of these clothes though. They reminded her of the better times with her mother. They reminded her of the not so good times with her mother too, but those memories were easily pushed down if need be.
Picking up her magical sword and her shield, Saryn was soon ready to fight. Her tome was waiting for her in its own personal storage space. Saryn raced out of the door. Seeing Ashe, Joanna and Nyx, she immediately calmed down a little. "Ferro isn't out yet? Lame." Her words seemed somewhat antagonistic, but there was little sting to them. She also completely ignored the fact that she had been the second to last of the group to be ready.

Ferro was just finishing workinside his workshop when Shelldon called. Sweat darken Ferro's silver bangs, matting the now grey locks against his brow slightly and obscuring his sight as he gave one final strike of his hammer. The contact rang through the workshop, a direct hit. With a practice twist of his arm, Ferro swiped at the sweat with his rolled up sleeve and drop the arrow head into the tub of salt water in one practiced movement. The already cooling red hot metal gave a loud sizzle, like bacon place in a hot pan heated by the sun, and white vapors stream up from the water. The noise died almost as soon as it started and then while still using the prongs Ferro held it up to his face inspecting it for any flaws. Good, all it needs is for some finishing and I can give them to Ashe.
With a satisfied smile of a job well down, Ferro turned away from the table and tossed his sweat soaked shirt onto an empty chair as he reached for a damp cloth to clean up with. Efficiently, Ferro wipe the sweat off his chest as he went around the shop opening the the shades and windows and banking down the forge. Behind him, Bismuth, his mystical steely construct, pick up the poorly thrown shirt from the ground and tuck it into the laundry basket nearby. The last movement of his construct's action caught his eyes and Ferro immediately realize his mistake. With a grateful pat on Bismuth's round smooth head Ferro walk over to a chair laden with his clothes and gear. Beside the chair was Ferro's workbench completely covered in paper with designs and arcane drawings that Ferro had actually forgotten the color of the wood table beneath. Placed along the edge of the table were different projects of Ferro's that he took upon himself to make for his comrade for their next mission. The last labyrinths have given Ferro a surplus of shards and had been spending his breaks crashing the shards into gems and stones in order to keep his room from being literally littered with shards. The appearance certainly made his room look like a treasure trove but it was a real pain when he accidentally sit on the shards. Ferro grab one of the more ordinary papers on the table and began checking the list of things he needed to make before the next mission when he felt a familiar nagging sensation at the edge of consciousness. Ferro pause from his list and mentally turn his attention to Shelldon's telepathic message.
"I will be there shortly without fail." Ferro mentally thought for the senior knight benefit before letting what felt like a wall to his reappear and with it Shelldon's 'presence'. The knock on the open door brought Ferro's attention and he looked up as he grabbed his shirt. "Swift as always, Ashe." Ferro gave a comradely smile before pulling on his shirt. " I'll be right there."Ferro quickly geared up as he spoke first pulling on the shirt then the surcoat follow by the dark, almost black, leather satchel. Finally Ferro grabbed his personally crafted magical sword and buckler and strapped them to his waist and forearm respectively. "Alright Bismuth lets go."
With comforting pat on his satchel Ferro rushed outside finding, the others already gather. "I may be last but I've come prepared."Ferro respond to the 'sting' good maturely as he raised buckler in greeting before searching for Shelldon.

As the group of young Knights gathered themselves and walked their way down to the main cafateria area. They saw that Shelldon was clearly hurting as his mind strained. Vains popping out of the boys head.
He looked at them and said simply, "Outside.... there's...... a couple of Constructs. but.... there's no caster....."
He motioned towards the front, "I'm using my abilities to make barriers and stop them from breaking down the front gate, but there's 12 of them out there."

Joanna frowns, and looks out a nearby window. "Oh my...That is...quite a number of them..." She thinks for a moment, and turns to her partners. "Hm. Without some proper equipment, I think i could hop over the right side wall, and get the drop on them." She then takes a few steps back, and takes a deep breath. Holding out her hands, dark mist forms around them, and her magic tome forms in her grasp. Joanna smiles, and holds it open. "Let's take care of these rocks, Bandersnatch!" The tome glows, and silky, pinkish hair begins to spill out of it. The hair piles onto the floor, but soon starts moving forward. It then seems to form into hands, it grasps the floor, and starts to pull more of itself out of the floor. An orange and black form, almost as big as Joanna herself, pulls its big frame out of the book. It slowly rises up revealing its scary, glowing face on its lower half. The hair slowly parts on its upper half to reveal...a super cute, tiny face. "Pew!" "Hey there, Bandersnatch! Get us over that wall." Joanna hugs her giant pumpkin from behind, she is wrapped in its hair, the Gourgiest reaches up to a low part of the wall, and begins to pull itself over.

Once he heard Ferro's reply that he would be there in a second, Ashe ran down the hallways to meet at the cafeteria, keeping as quiet as he could. He strained his hearing to try to make out what was outside that they could possibly be called in to handle. He hated being caught off guard, to be the one set on his heels. Nothing he could do about it now though except adapt. Being able to plan was the best, but adaptation was the second most important skill to staying alive. S
He listened to the back and forth jab of Sayrn and Ferro and added "Prepared is always good," giving a long sideways glance at Nyx. No weapons or armor, she had formidable magic to be sure, but it still burned Ashe that she had skirted around the official recruitment process and had been training for a fraction of the time they had.
But then, Shelldon explained why they were here. Joanna focused on the number, but Ashe had heard something that caused a twitch of emotion across his face that he tried to hide. "Wait- what do you mean no caster? Are you sure?" Ashe said, his voice uncharacteristically urgent and demanding. He caught himself however, biting back his quick words as he looked at Shelldon's straining face. "Nevermind, we can't talk right now," he said quickly, turning away.
Stupid, focus on the task at hand. First see what you're dealing with.
"I'm going high," Ash said to the others, climbing the ladder to the top of the wall where he could get a good view of the battlefield. He summoned his book, a small leather-bound journal full of nicks and smudges of dirt, and even a splatter of blood on the cover. Hexagonal holes seemed to open up in the very fabric of the air, drilling into a darkness from which a large insectoid construct melted out of. Scout glanced at the rest of the team, and then the vespiquen buzzed up to join her master.
"Shit," Ashe said flatly as he saw what they were up against. Those were rock constructs through and through. Shit! Of course it was the one type he was weakest against. Arrows bounced off rocks and while Scout was tough, her light carapace meant for flying was crushed easily by their heavy attacks. He knocked a an arrow as Scout floated above the battlefield, just out of range of immediate melee attacks.

"Oh! I can help!" Nyx said excitedly. She'd not had the chance to actually fight a construct like the dashing knights who had saved her had done... or at least she didn't remember any chances. She had a construct after all and she was in a labryinth apparently when they found her so it made sense that she had probably fought at some point... The young woman quickly moved towards the gate before stopping just before opening it. That would be stupid. She was used to going out the gate. "Errr not that way, sorry!" She said fidgety before she looked up and took a deep breath and teleported to the top of the gate. She was just about to drop down, when she realized there was a construct RIGHT at the front in front of her. "Oh! Uhhh not there!" She said quickly jumping to the side to get some space. She looked over the battlefield and took a deep breath. This was her chance to fight and help the Youngest Sage like they had helped her. Ok, she just had to focus... with her magic she could send a psychic blast of--- Ack! Constructs right! That was important! She should summon hers. The girl quickly called for her tome which floated in front of her as she waved a hand towards it opening it mentally and summoning her construct beside her. The female Meowstic appeared and she quickly pointed at the weird rock thing attacking the gate. Defending the gate seemed the most important for now to not stress out Sir Sheldon. The Female Meowstic stared at the Boldore and a beam of pure energy fired from its head at the creature. At the same time Nyx took a deep breath and tried to picture the creature being blasted away from the gate. She was still new to her psychic powers and up until now had been limited to focusing on just objects as training targets. But she had to work hard to make her best impression to her heroes. Meowstic scores a critical hit with Psybeam. (nat 20 to hit) Damage: 60 special psychic, Boldore is confused
Nyx rolls an 18 to hit with Psychic Damage: 38 special psychic, Boldore has special defense lowered by 1 and pushed to C8

Alright, he couldn't do a lot of damage here with his bow, so he'd have to make his shots count. Ashe took a deep breath and calmed down, looking for the most opportune moment to let his arrow loose at the most vulnerable of the stone golem like constructs. Using the "Take Aim" weapon attack. +1 Accuracy and damage roll is doubled next turn if I hit with a weapon attack

Ferro smile at Ashe catching the sidelong glance toward Nyx and Ferro felt his eyebrows rise in mild surprise. Not only was it a surprise to see Nyx participating as under prepare as she is but also for the hidden emotion behind Ashe’s glance toward the forgotten girl. The two months that Ferro knew Ashe, the hunter rarely showed any emotion and when he did no matter how obscure Ferro always instinctive felt it was important to take note. With the little glance filed away in his memory bank Ferro turned his attention to the fact that none of the constructs outside their walls had a caster and quickly file away that piece of infomation as well. “No caster…? Ashe is right we have to look into that later.” “N-nyx wait…!” Ferro call after the excited psychic but Nyx already rushing toward the gate before teleporting onto the wall. Shaking his head and mumbling about making plans and setting up formations, Ferro and Bismuth moved after Joanna and bandersnatch grabbing the bars of the gates and easily climbing over to the other side. The pair landed prepare for battle with Ferro with his buckler up at the sight of the construct that seem to surprised Nyx earlier up the wall. Fortunately Nyx and her construct’s attack have gave Ferro and his some room to breath. Bismuth, on point, targets the other Bolder(C6) opening his mouth and launching a beam of energy at the rock construct. Following suit, Ferro move up beside Bismuth and strikes at the same Boldore with his sword. Bismuth rolls an 8 to attack Boldore (C6) with Flash Cannon Damage: 48 (Special, Steel)
Ferro rolls a 6 to attack the same Boldore with Pierce! Damage: 31 (Physical Steel)

Bandersnatch lowers itself, and Joanna down onto the ground. They move into position to fight, but before that, Joanna spots one of the constructs go flying from a powerful blast. Her eyes go wide, and looks at the happy Nyx on the wall. "Wooooooow! Good job, Nyx!" Nyx was definitely doing much better. Now, she needed to take of the constructs in front of her. She takes out her tome, opens it up, and symbols on the page start glowing. A ghostly, misty spike rises out of the book. Joanna slams her hand onto the spike. The spike phases through her hand, but as she pulls her back, the spike follows. "Alright. All set. Let's get 'em, Bandersnatch!" The Gourgeist cries out, cutely, opens its lower maw, and a flurry of sharp leaves rush towards the enemy Boldore.
Joanna uses Haunting Curse: "Target: Your Pokémon Effect: While this Feature is bound, the target gains a Curse Token each time they use a Ghost-Type Move or Ghost Step. Ghost-Type Moves with a Set-Up and Resolution Phase give a Curse Token for each Phase. As a Standard Action during their turn, or as Free Action upon Fainting, the target may spend their Curse Tokens to apply conditions to a foe within 6 meters. »» 1 Curse Token: The target loses a Combat Stage of your choice. »» 2 Curse Tokens: The target becomes Cursed. »» 3 Curse Tokens: The target becomes Suppressed. »» 4 Curse Tokens: The target falls Asleep and gains Bad Sleep."
Bandersnatch rolls a 10 to hit Boldore (C12) with Razor Leaf Damage: 41 Grass Physical

Saryn kept a cool head as she absorbed the information. Multiple constructs... no caster. That was strange, but the reason for it could be discerned later, for now Shelldon needed help, before the strain made his head explode. Swiftly, Saryn called upon her tome, releasing an elegant construct into the cafeteria. This cat, she had named it Pox, was something a killing machine, but it struggled a little in terms of defensive ability, so Saryn usually kept it close to her. The mage knight could call upon a protective aura, invisible to the naked eye, but no less effective, which empowered allies immediately around her. She wasted no time in calling upon this power. "Rally around me for additional protection!" Saryn, told her teammates, looking serious but somewhat excited. She couldn't help but add, "If you think you can't take a few hits, that is." There was a glint in her red eyes and something to her mischievous smile, which spoke of blood lust and eagerness to fight. As the others raced towards the entrance, Saryn followed. Her movements were deceptively cautious, appearing almost wary, but in truth she was incredibly confident. Her way of moving was as if she was already on a battlefield, mindful of each opponent, despite her confidence that she could take on anyone. Eventually she reached the actual battlefield at the entrance of the Pot. Her gaze sharpened immediately as she analysed the opponents. These were more than just 'a couple' of constructs, as Joanna had pointed out. To think Shelldon could hold them all off for however long on his own. Saryn was impressed. But now it was her turn. With that thought, she dashed forward and jumped over Shelldon's barrier at the gate diagonally so as to take the shortest path towards one of the smaller rock monsters. With Pox being so agile, it was able to move much faster than Saryn. As such, with a few mental commands, the feline construct attacked one of the bejeweled rock monsters by spitting a spray of acid. Saryn stared into the soulless eyes of her opponent, the same bejeweled rock monster, and then lashed out with a quick stab of her sword, the blade leaving a trail of purplish magic as she moved it. Saryn releases Pox. Saryn binds Stalwart Bastion: +5 DR to herself and adjacent allies. Pox uses Acid Spray, AC2 vs 20, Damage: 60 Poison Special, Carbink's Special Defense is reduced by -2 Combat Stages. Saryn uses Struggle, AC3 vs 20, Damage: 68 Poison Special Saryn uses Fortress and Marks the Carbink, it takes a -5 penalty to Attack rolls.

The group of young knights stepped out from their mansion to being the counter offensive against the attacking beasts. It was clear to the group that there wasn't anywhere nearby. They knew as magic knights that normally speaking they had to be relatively close in order to use their summons. Though looking at the field ahead of them, there certainly was no caster in sight. Despite that, The groups attack struck true, or at least most of them did. Each blow was powerful from the magical knights. Especially the blows coming from Nyx and Sayrin. Their blows struck heavy on top of the foes they were up against. Droping the two of them quickly. For the others, their blows were not nearly as strong, but still clearly damaging the rock beasts as they attacked. Specifically though, Ferro could feel it, his blade only scrapped against the surface, hitting at a poor angle and dealing no damage to their opponents. The constructs in front of them didn't weaken. They seemed to change the focus of their strikes, aiming large chunks of gems out and tossing them in the direction of the fighters. Clearly in an attempt to knock as many of them out as possible. As the Large gem stones rained from the air on top of them. Check the roll thread, but needless to say, all carbink's rolled to use Rock throw, and all Boulders rolled for Power gem.

Ashe took a deep breath and stilled himself, letting his senses expand over the battle field, getting a whole view of the situation. He was worried about Ferro and Nyx off on the left hand side of the battlefield alone. Nyx had no training and armor, and they were separated by the height of the wall. Nyx's construct released a very impressive attack however, which made Ashe feel marginally better about the situation. No matter how strong they were however, it was still two over there to three over on their side, and Saryn was with them too. The rock-constructs were evenly distributed between their own uneven sides. Rocks flew into the air and Ashe felt the buzz of magic as whatever unseen magical sense his tome had granted him stirred to life and he "Scout, hit and run interference on the northern side," Ashe barked, and the construct moved to obey. She darted down towards the Boldore in front of her, her large mandibles coming down on the pink horn of rock on top of its head and attempting to slice thorough it. After that she turned and buzzed towards the others. Still, Ashe waited for his moment, patience. He had a keen eye and he knew that one arrow in the perfect spot was better than five glancing blows. He looked for an opening. The Boldore in front of himself and Joanna was too close, the angle was all wrong and he'd only skirt off the top. Then maybe he could take care of the only other one currently threatening them directly... "I'll be there in a second Saryn, busy aiming for the moment," he said quickly, trying not to let his focus slip. In a split second Ashe saw his opening, as the yellow eye... ear... thing was turned towards him for a moment. Ashe released his arrow as the bolt stuck the creature in the black hollow with a crack of metal arrowhead against stone. Trained well, Vespiquen darted forward in the moment its vital spot was hit to make use of the moment of disorientation to its advantage. Ashe uses 1 AP to memorize Boldore's rock throw
Vespiquen uses bugbite vs Boldore 2 12 vs AC 2 = 40 Physical Bug-type Damage Shifts to B7, 2 meters up (above automateon, still in melee range) AoO from Boldore 2 assuming it's still up.
Ashe's shift action = Aiming down the sites, +2 to accuracy roll and crit range, last turn's take aim adds damage roll a second time. Long range struggle attack vs Boldore 3 22 crit! vs AC 4 = 99 Physical Normal-type Damage
Vespiquen is adjacent and Ashe's attacks always considered melee attacks for the purposes of Pack Hunt. So it triggers. 13 vs AC 5 melee attack 1 tick hp loss if it hits.

"H-hey!" Nyx panicked as the constructs somehow hurled a weird gem all the way up at her. She hadn't been expecting that and barely moved out of the way of the one fired at her with eyes wide. Was THIS what magic knights did? The attacking part seemed easy, but that looked like it would have hurt! Who hurled glowing magic gems at people? Her Meowstic dodged one set of rocks thrown at her, but was slugged by a second one while in mid-air. Being caught jumping away from one had made the construct completely vulnerable to the other. However, the construct seemed fine even after the powerful strike. It instead turned and fired another beam at the closest Boldure. Nyx, despite feeling flustered by the attack thrown at her quickly tries to focus and attempts to create a barrier blocking off the enemies to at least funnel them together for her team to blast if they had any wide magic spells. Nyx uses Barrier (Will mark the map where) to place 4 walls (20 HP, 15 DR, psychic. Cannot be shifted through or attacked through)
Meowstic uses Psybeam vs Boldore 4 and the damage is higher this time cause realized Sorcery doesn't auto-calc), most likely misses even with keen eye. -_- AC 2 (ignores non-stat evasion), 44 special psychic

Joanna blinks as the Carbink that was next goes down fast. "Whoa. Cool!" She then decides to get in more on the action, by using more of her ghostly magic. Her hand is engulfed in a ghostly fog, she goes up to the Boldore, and gives it a good smack. "Don't hurt Bandersnatch! How about his!?" Normally punching a rock would spell bad news, but the fog around her fist takes full impact. Bandersnatch shakes off the rocks it was pelted with, and reigns down another shower of leaves on the enemy.
Joanna shifts to C13, and uses Shadow Punch on Boldore (C12) SP cannot miss! Damage: 27 Ghost phys
Bandersnatch uses Razor Leaf vs Boldore (C12) Rolled: AC 3 vs 18 Damage: 39 grass phys crit on18+
