Jamie flinched seeing that hit on Bandit, before recalling Speedy into his ball and fumbling for another one. "Geeze, Orin, I'm just gonna go ahead and start helping you. Looks like you need it." Producing a ball from her backpack, she releases her Ekans, which only takes a moment before streaking towards its target, intent on trapping it in her coils.

The growlith was having none of that, looking almost like he turned into fire to avoid the coils of the snake. He wasn't about to let the monkey go that easily, either, his momentum from escaping the serpent leading into another blindingly bright flamewheel.

Seeing its ally fall so quickly, the Ekans wisely decides to exit the battlefield, looking around for the safest place before deciding its pokeball would serve well, beelining back towards Jamie. "Yea, with Speedy out and that Tympole I caught back at the pokecenter still, I don't really have anyone that can handle this. Especially not without Orin." She recalls her snake into its ball, before tucking it back on her belt.

Orin consiously left out Jamie's name... just in case.

It was high time they all headed back to the center, and get some sleep. As they would walk, "I didn't think any thing of it. I juse thour you wan ted to test us to see if we were telling the truth. I noticed you mentioned the mines, we were considering heading out that way tomorrow, if there is any thing we could do to help."

"Now scram, before the REAL late-comers come round and take the last of the beds."

"Officer Gernen." was all the reply Orin got. They'd arrive in time to the center to get the last private room, having to make the choice of either sharing it, (it had a bunk bed), or one of them being stuck sleeping on the couch in the lobby-way.

After handing over Bindi and Bandit to Nurse Joy, he would make his way to the room, thanking Joy for all the services. He never knew what it was like to have a room of his own, any was even accustomed to sharing with a girl. "You prefer top or bottom bunk?" kicking his shoes off, "I always got saddled with the top bunk, but it's no big deal to me."
Orin didn't think anything of taking of his shirt and pants, rummaging through his bag to change into sleep trunks.

Jamie puts her stuff down in the room, and noticing Orin changing, ducks out for a bit to give Speedy to the nurse and shower. After a while, she comes back in her pajamas (are those wurmple print?) with Spike already curling up on her head sleepily. Climbing up to her bed, she asks Orin, "Today was pretty cool, huh? Did a lotta stuff, solved mysteries, all that."

Orin makes his way into bed, nestling into the blankes. "If this is what's in store, we're in for some more fun. I certinly showed my pokemon how to take sone hits. After what Officer Gernen said, the mInes have got me peeked."

Jamie clambers onto her bunk as well, flopping down after the Weedle moves off from her head. "Yea, but don't forget what the cop said about having trouble in there. It could have just been a type thing, but a bit of prep for it couldn't hurt. Maybe we could trade that favor we did for the mart guy for some gear, or get some cash from the gym? Or do the gym for the sake of battling too, of course."
