"It would seem so. Ciara, your powers are certainly impressive. Support skills, buffs, debuffs, and survelliance. Heh, It'd be foolish to ignore your potential. You best show her your appreciation Miguel~"
Mother's kind words seem to put a sour look on Sparrow's face. Well, more sour anyways
"I'm disappointed. I was hoping to see your combat skills in practice, yet you all chose diplomatic approaches to acquiring your shadows. Not that there's anything inherently wrong about that, it just means I'll have to wait a while before I can get better files on you all. But for the time being, you accomplished your task well, and with minimal damage at that. That's something to be commended."
"Indeed. We can hurry up and get you all back to the real world if you're ready."
Ciara made a startled sound at the arrival of another random creature and shot Sparrow & Mother an annoyed glare.
"You know, this whole 'disappearing into the aether after causing a ruckus, leaving others to negotiate with shadows, then dropping by unannounced and attacking a shadow' thing really does not reassure me on your trustworthiness. Could we do away with the sneaking and the needlessly dramatic entrances, please?"
She went back to showing Meowstic her drawings, only looking back up after Miguel addressed her.
"Um, yeah, I suppose it was. I found out I could do that the other day, when we got attacked by the other shadows. I'm still figuring out everything, really"
Suzume had been about to attack the Lairon when the Garchomp showed up. Indeed there was a brief window where she was about to attack the Garchomp instead. "Seriously! Byakko was about to take a bite out of that before you showed yourself." She says, waving her hand in the general direction of the Garchomp. She addresses the Scyther now, finally tapping it since it didn't do that itself. "You remind me of these man-eaters from Hindu Mythology. How's 'Rakshasi' sound?" "Hmmph. Acceptable, Human. Do not leave me reason to eat you."
As Suzume begins waving at the Garchomp, it seems to make him anxious. Suddenly the beast of prideful rage becomes incredibly timid and cowers behind mother for protection, who in turn begins comforting it by gently petting its head.
"Aha, there's no reason to be afraid Chompy. Suzume's not going to hurt you. And sorry Ciara, disappearing is kind of what we're best at. If it helps, you were never in any real danger. We were watching the whole time"
"Has that ever helped before?"
"First time for everything"
The meowstic seems enthused about Ciara's drawings, at least as enthused a listless floating kitty can be
"Woooooooah you're cool senpai. Can you draw me? I want to be a Cleric. But with lasers maybe."
"I'll be sure to do that, Beautiful." Miguel commented with a wry smile before raising an eyebrow at the exchange between the two younger girls and the group they were apparently being initiated into. Seeing as things were well in hand with the two groups and the apparently shy edgelord land shark, he turned his attention to both the Haunter and the Zoroark and began to chat with them while the others were talking.
They mostly talked about names, which ended up with Miguel naming them Arsene (Haunter) and Zorro (Zoroark) before his attention was pulled by the others declaring that they were ready to go. He put the two personas/shadows/whatever back in their cards before he looked over at the assembled group.
"It's been one hell of a party, but I'm ready to leave if the others are. That may be enough excitement for today." He quipped.
Meowstic slowly floats his face closer to the name, until it's making full contact.
". . . I love it"
Mother and Damian begin typing into their phones, and invite you all to follow. Upon entering the Jackapp, you'll each find a "Goho-M" button available. Pushing it brings you all back to the real world, back into Mother's office. It's clean and pristine condition serves as a stark contrast to the desecrated grounds of mythos.
"Well, you each managed to obtain a second Persona. I'm honestly very glad to hear that. I get sick of all the lies and deception, just because of some potential of someone trying to hurt us. More than anything, this affirms that your story is true. That you were really dropped into that world at a completely random time, and came together, knowing nothing at all, to save one of my agents when he needed help the most. Honesty, I don't think I'll ever be able to thank you enough. Please let me know if there's anything I could ever do for you.
. . . That being said, there's actually some more stuff I could use your help with. We don't need to get into it immediately, please feel free to take some time to relax, and I can call you all about it another day. But if you'd like to help me, and be a part of our little group, then I'd really love to have you all on board. Lord knows I could really use another set of reliable hands"
"Well welcome and congratulations I guess. If that's all settled I'd like to be going off now"
As Sparrow tried to make his way out of the office, Mother grabs the back of his shirt collar, and drags him right back in
"Oh I don't think so. We still haven't fully discussed that little stunt you pulled the other day. You WILL be giving these people a proper heartfelt apology for having to fix your mess, and you CLEARLY can't be trusted to be by yourself if you're going to keep jumping into Mythos unattended. We'll be finding you new living arrangements and guardian."
"What?! I don't need to live with anyone! And besides! The shadows only got me because THEY-"
Mother's hand flashes at such speed that only those with absurdly good eyes would have noticed it dash from her back pocket to covering Sparrow's mouth.
"Your next words had better be a proper apology to them. I have no problem smashing your phone right here to make sure you don't ever drift into Mythos again"
Mother's demeanor jumped from kindly saint to powerful death glare pretty quick. Sparrow was clearly intimidated by the sudden character shift, and maintained silence until Mother gently removed her hand. The boy turned to you all, refusing to make eye contact.
". . . I'm sorry . . . I'm sorry for putting your lives at risk . . . and yelling at you when you helped me . . ."
Suzume doesn't know how to deal with the death glare Sparrow receives. "Umm, Apology accepted? IT's fine... now... You didn't really yell at me anyway. Oh one thing has been bothering me though. The first bunch of Haunters, and Lairon just there, they seemed different from the lot that agreed to go with us. Like they were corrupted? What was that about? She opts not to deal with the easily angry aspect of Mother and just focus on the biggr mess.
"Ah, that's a wonderful question, and actually ties into the task I have for you all. Generally speaking shadows aren't feral. They're usually the manifestation of people's inner desires and emotions, but if one were to experience severe negative emotions, far greater than what would be normal, their shadows experience it too, and become heavily distorted. With the rise of such distorted shadows, something significant must have happened nearby"
Miguel supposed he couldn't blame her for her caution. This world was dangerous enough to beg for that sort of thing, and that wasn't even taking into account these mysterious other humans into the equation. It was basically a more dangerous version of the human world, honestly. More monsters and less guns and knives.
His eyebrows then rose at the next byplay between the woman calling herself Mother and the kid calling himself Sparrow. His lips quirked up in amusement when he saw the kid trying to bail out from apologizing, only to see her cover his mouth with speed he'd only seen in street magicians and conmen and a glare he'd seen on mob bosses. Looks like the rose definitely has more than just physical thorns and it was enough to cow the kid into apologizing.
"Eh, it never came to blows so no harm done kiddo. I understand that you're the high-strung type." Miguel said with a lazy grin. He then looked over at Suzume and Mother as they talked about the crazed Shadows that were apparently distorted.
"So since we pretty much did this entire song and dance to prove that we're not a threat and to pretty much join your Scooby gang, Beautiful, I don't mind helping. But how exactly does one stop distortions anyway? Do we cut it off from the source? Rehabilitate the source? Remove the source? Or something else entirely?"
"Unfortunately there's no real simple solution to that. It will vary based on the case. Sometimes it's as easy as helping someone through a rough patch of there life, and there's no violence involved. Sometimes it's discovering a person seriously abusing a large group of people, and we may need to get physically involved. I wish I could give you a more satisfying answer, but that's the best I can offer. I'm sorry."
"I'm glad this is all going so smoothly, and I really appreciate your patience and understanding in this whole ordeal. For now, you can all rest. Spend a few days to process this whole thing, and I'll be in contact with you. You should all be free next weekend correct? I think I'll be planning something fun~
As for you little Sparrow, I'll be escorting you back to William and Nancy's. As of today, you're on probation, and must have a guardian with you at all times"
"Are you kidding me?! The only other room those to have is that arsenal! Do you know how many times guns just randomly go off down there?!?!"
Mother and Sparrow continue to bicker amongst each other. At this point it's really up to you whether you ask her any further questions or concerns, or go home for the week and wait for whatever it is Mother has planned
"Well, if you're ok with it, I'd love the help. Thank you very much."
Mother turns back over to Sparrow. Mother stare activated
"As for you, I hope you appreciate how generous she's being right now. You will treat her with respect, and listen to everything she says, or I swear I'll make you wish you were in hell with you back broken"
Sparrow's normally loud and abrasive demeanor was replaced with that of a child who, and medical science likes to describe it, "got totally owned". The boy walks slowly over to Suzume, defeated.
". . . Wherever we're going, can I get my stuff from my place first?"
Suzume realises the misunderstanding "Oh nuts I meant like I'd take him somewhere over the week my parents will kill me if I bring home another stray child." She looks between the two "Like if you stay with the nice couple of arms dealers and we can all build some team bonds yeah? I don't want you alone in a room full of explosives for a whole weak but I can't exactly take you home sorry."

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.

but how else do i find games then?

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
