"So no power. Maybe they lost it when they were broken?" Evie looks over the dais warily. "Hm. When whatever it was was whole, it was probably right there." She points toward the hole where Horace is messing around.
She paces around the edge of the dais warily, not quite willing yet to step onto it. She's still suspicious of it - the obvious raised area seems like it might be bait, even if she's just suggested it was a place of prominence for whatever those shards were broken off of. "Where'd the Chain come from, to start with?" She was a bit hazy on that part of the story; if Rowan had ever explained where the Galactics had gotten it, she'd missed it. "Couldn't be down here."

As Horace steps on the dais there's a mild rumble, the ground shaking for a few seconds. Placing the sphere in the diamond shaped hollow does nothing, though inserting the splinter into it cause sand to immediately start falling out of the holes in the sphere, not stopping until the splinter clatters to the ground.
Shoko retrieving shards doesn't seem to do anything, but Evie, Cassandra and Karlastart to feel uneasy, as if something is watching them.

Cassandra carefully looks around the room, paying special attention to anything that seems out of place down here.

Cassandra is certain something is back down the hall and lurking on the north and south walls

Cassandra, not wanting to alarm anyone, subtly produces a poke ball from within her clothing someplace (unlike most people, she doesn't keep them visible) and whispers instructions to it before pressing the release button. A dark blur rushes back down the hallway at her instructions. Stealth: uOyMJ2|r4d6 (To be subtle about what she's doing and keep whatever is observing them from overhearing.) Instructions: "Weavile, something is watching us and another target is approaching from down the hall. I need you on recon. You are a shadow."
Translation: Go scout the hallway for me. Quiet as you can.
Weavile stealth: 5d6+1 Stealth Capability: If it does not want to, Weavile makes no noise while sneaking. Perception: 3d6 Darkvision: Weavile can see in the dark. (obviously)

The hair on the back of Evie's neck stands up suddenly. Apparently she's a lot less reluctant than Cassandra to alarm the others, since she directly whispers to Karla, "Feels like we're being watched." Sure, the tomb was kind of creepy in the first place, especially the carvings and the statues, but now she feels like there are eyes on her. She starts glancing around warily, as if hoping to catch the unseen watchers at it. Perception: |fqbcmF12d6 2d6

Karla whispers back "Yeah, something definitely feels off here." She looks around again, especially focussing on any of the statues or images of pokémon in case they showed signs of moving. Karla Loran made a Perception Check! | 7gggzbd12d6 |

Shoko, however, remains oblivious to her companions' actions as she continues to play with her new toys.

"You know... I really want to see what would happen if I stand here and get a piece of the shard under my skin." Horace doesn't seem to take heed to his companions warnings and is still in quite a cheery and interested mood. He begins to bring the shard closer and closer to his arm and starts to push it into his skin while trying to make sure his companions notice. Just before it breaks his skin he pulls the shard away with laughter, "Hah! Even I'm not crazy enough to do that. Not without further investigation at least... I just wanted to see how you would all react. By the way whats with this talk of some ominous presence. I don't feel anything and I for sure don't see it." Horace Takes a quick but careless glance around the room to confirm his idea looking straight up to see if there is anything above him. No Perception roll. Unless its obvious Horace doesn't see it.

Karla doesn't really pay attention to Horace messing with the shard. "Maybe we're all just feeling spooked cause of this place..."

Evie's eyes widen slightly when she sees Horace halfway threatening to poke himself with the shard. She's rapidly revising her first impression of him now. "Jamming foreign objects into yourself isn't really clever. Especially that close to an artery."
She shakes her head with a sigh and turns back to Karla. "My instincts are usually pretty good. I'm sure there's something here..."
She starts to edge towards the wall of the chamber, eyeing the carvings warily.

Cassandra has the same impression that Evie does about being watched. She and Weavile keep a very close watch on their surroundings.

" Not big enough for use. Decoys? Might react to the original shards... probably not or they would've reacted to some of us here. Birch might have a use for studying a few of these. Those other scientists probably could get some use out of this... I wonder if they'd pay..." Shoko continued to mutter to herself as her allies fruitlessly searched nearby. Only mostly oblivious to her surroundings, Shoko releases Tilda. " Find it. Don't kill it," Shoko ordered returning to her shards. Dejected by Shoko's insistence that she not roast whatever she'd been sent to find, Tilda goes to aid the others in looking for whatever caused the others to worry. Tilda eyes what she deems to be a suspicious carving, though no one else can see anything on the carving that is different to the others. Meanwhile Horace and Shoko experience an overwhelming sense of dread, feeling as if the walls are closing in.

An all too familiar feeling seeps in from her days of shard hunting in old ruins. Shoko suddenly stops fidgeting with her new toys as she tries to reason out what this feeling could be. Shoko made a Focus Check! | _u|_ULdJ4d6 |
In the mean time, Tilda manages to eye a suspicious spot though nothing else and floats back to Shoko with a clearly annoyed expression currently thinking: Can't fry anything... and couldn't even smack anything around.4d6

Horace begins to freak out in response to the dread but then slowly begins to gain his dark purple aura again although it isn't very noticeable due to the dark. His fear is then quickly replaced by and anger as he remembers the reason why he originally came. That thing... that terrible thing must be doing this and it wont get away with messing with him again. He quickly composes himself before shouting, "Hey you bastard! I'm guessing you retreated here. Come out and fight you coward so I can finish you once and for all!" He quickly pulls out his club and gets in a fighting stance. Focus Zyd|xSTI5d6

Horace seems to succeed, though not on the intended target as the clay sphere he'd placed in the diamond shaped indent suddenly floats into the air, opening angry yellow eyes and glaring at Horace. Floating like this you all realise the sphere is actually a Koffing, albiet one made of clay. Sand pours from the holes in it's body, whipping around the room and causing a miniature sandstorm.
At the same time two of the carvings on the wall glow and separate from the wall, becoming a pair of Sigilyph. The statues in the corridor similarly glow for a moment before stepping forwards and cutting off Weavile from Cassandra and the others.
Overwhelmed by the malevolence Shoko almost falls to her knees, becoming suppressed for a round.
(The weather is a sandstorm. The battle map has initiatives and positions. Shoko and Cassandra are first)

"Strike with precision! Take these foes down."
Cassandra issues commands to her 'allies'. Via Leadership (Static - Allows [Orders] to target allies) and Battle Conductor (At-Will; Swift - Allows [Orders] to target up to two additional allies), she grants Weavile, Shoko, and Horace the Pinpoint Strike Orders. Their attacks gain a +2 to Accuracy and Effect Range, but deal 5 less damage before applying weakness/resistance.
Weavile lunges at the closest foe, sending a flurry of icy shards at it.

An immense feeling pierces shoko causing her a bit of disorientation. "So you'll entertain us today?" She asks trying to keep a bit of composure. An overwhelming feeling. Feels threathening. Subdue or obliterate? Oops, Tilda's out, not much of a choice then. " Tilda, make quick work of these would you?" Shoko binds 2 AP to activate Celerity on Tilda (Her target gains +5 initiative and Disengage can be used as if slowed instead of 1m). She also uses brutal orders on Tilda to give her +1 critical and effect range.
Shoko also backs the heck away. Taking it as a free ticket to go nuts, Tilda turns a big grin to the sigilyph near her. Her wings light up momentarily before her flapping intensifies and electric webs shoot forward onto the sigilyph. Tilda uses electroweb AC3 rolling a total of 11, which probably hits. She deals 54 electric special damage prior to sdef and weakness.
If sigilyph is still standing, she then disengages at half her movement towards shoko. Otherwise, full movement towards shoko.
