Norris, imitating Frank, shakes her head back and forth to shake up her rock. She dances backwards around the clearing as she thrashes her neck about.

"You...sure you should be doing that?" asks Ryota, a little belatedly. He squeezes his eyes shut before the rock hits the ground, hoping it doesn't blow them all up.

Midna floats back to the ground, slightly dazed from the blinding flash of light. At least the titan was gone. After it had taken a bite out of Ghost, well, Midna was glad it hadn't got its chompers on her. "Identities confirmed," Midna mumbles as the voice speaks once again. It prompts an outburst as she demands of the voice, "You could have just asked rather than dropping a giant on top of our heads as a test! I'm not one for being tested." She hardly even notices as the pair plays with their balls.

The air remains quiet in response to Midna, but when Frank throws the orb, it lands with a strange popping sound and a small harmless flash of light. When the light clears a much smaller version of the giant appears. It's face is wayyyyyyy less creepy, however. (It's a Machop)
But unlike anything you've seen, it stays static, unmoving. The only time it moves is it follows Frank around with it's eyes, only turning it's head if Frank gets too far. Frank feels a innate connection to this creature, some how.

"Intriguing...It seems attuned to me somehow. This seems similar to some children's cartoon that was really popular over a decade ago. I can't recall it's name. Started with a P...all the kids loved it. These monsters would be held in bal- Pokemon! It was called Pokemon. It's been bugging me ever since we got here. The "art style" of the world seems straight out of a cartoon. I think we might be in the Pokemon universe. I never played any of the games, though, so I'm not sure how that information helps at all. That said, even if you didn't play the games, you'd still be inundated with the advertising. Pokemon was EVERYWHERE about fifteen years ago. It was an RPG, and I never had much time for all that. You gain levels, items, and you fight stronger and stronger opponents until you're eventually the best, and you're supposed to catch all the little monsters. I guess that's what we are too. More of these Pokemon."
Turning to the Machop, he says "Can you speak? Can you approach me?"

Ryota blinks. "Pokemon...that sounds kind of familiar. Wasn't there a card game too?" He himself was more into Duel Monsters, although he remembers some kids at the club pulling out Pokemon cards as well. "From what I remember, they apparently had different 'Types' that defined them and their attacks, and the different types worked differently against each other..."

The Machop doesn't respond to the questions, in fact doesn't change its expression or move at all.

Freya waves a wing in front of its face, to provoke a reaction.

Frank walks up to place the claw where the rune glowed on the Machop's shoulder. "I don't recall having to turn the creatures on from what I remember of the commercials. I thought they were supposed to be organic."

Ghost... well, after getting that rather significant chomp taken out of her and the creature seeming to collapse she just fell to the ground, kind of in shock over everything She'd just experienced, and the slow release of her from the grip of adrenaline leaving her utterly drained.
"It's going to take me a while to get used to the feeling of pain again..."
She caught what Frank was saying though, and that... that caused her to pause for a moment. Pokemon, pokemon... that sounded... familiar? She wasn't sure why, but it sparked a little something in her mind... "Wait, wasn't that that digimon ripoff?" She asked as she approached Frank. "Not that I remember either all that well, my mind's still pretty fuzzy about what life was like way back when I... still had a human body," She said, seeming a little subdued near the end there.

"Well, I've never even heard of digimon, so if they 'ripped it off' as you say, they must have been doing something right." Frank responds to Ghost, not taking his eyes off the strange muscular creature in front of him.

Ghost narrowed her eyes a bit at that, her lips scowling a bit. "For some reason that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth..." She simply said.

Throughout this whole conversation Norris has been dancing frantically with the ball in her mouth. Exhausted and curious, she anticlimactically lets it fall casually from her mouth, watching it with one eye as she keeps watch with the other

Midna scowls as the voice stays silence. Surely it would make itself known? Maybe it was some kind of Spirit and was just being finicky. It would figure with her luck. The spark of light doesn't draw her attention but the sudden emergence of the recently defeated foe does.
Except...it's not quite the same. It wasn't a giant anymore, though it was still larger than her. And a few of the others were recognizing it...from a game. Even if she couldn't understand half the things they were saying, that much was clear. "Are you all serious," she says softly, "You think we are stuck in some...children's game. That seems ridiculous."

"I agree. However, that is what it appears. And from what little I've heard about each of you, from your magical worlds to several of you not being human...is it really that ridiculous?"

"I think what Frank's trying to say is you're a cat, he's a crocodile, I'm a lightning rod, and this place is modeled after a fictional world for kids. That tells me one of two things. Either the many worlds theory is more than just wishful thinking, or we're dealing with a bored deity of some kind."

"What," she says flatly, "It just doesn't...how does this world even exist? How can we be here when it is fiction?" She pauses digesting the words for a moment longer, "Everything here is different but...it's not so different..."

As Norris lets the ball go, it drops and opens in a similar fashion! And standing in it's place is the creature Norris and the others had fought with Temmie. But without the dangerous axe or coat. It stands as motionless as the other one.
(This is a Timburr)
Freya and Frank interacting with the first one to pop out don't get reactions out of it.

Ryota flails upon seeing the Timburr. "Whoa, careful, Norris!" he yelps. However, it seems to not be doing anything either. "Wait...does this have something to do with how we defeated them? Beating them just turns them into puppets like this? That's mega-creepy."

Unable to provoke a reaction, Frank sets to investigating his wrist, where the rune glowed, for any insight as to his bond with this creature.
