One of the royal Nidos was down, that was good. Proof that they were making good progress... Lina needed the proof, after that last attack. Despite having the power of Raikou, she had a very distinct feeling that things were not alright, and contrary to her expectations, rather than crumple under their literally divine powers, these wild Pokemon had been the cause... It would be foolish to ignore that, as much as she might want to pretend her superiority over this Nidoking was absolute. So, even as she fired another attack at it, she had begun the very sensible practice of a tactical retreat. Lina-Raikou uses Signal Beam on Nidoking. AC2 - _UdFNe2l1d20+1, spending AP. Luke takes the bite, wincing as the pain bursts through him. When the queen went down, he turned his attention back to the swarm of rabbits, effortlessly dodging their desperate attack. Without changing expressions, he sent another gout of flames from his hand towards the swarm.

Lukes blast causes the last of the swarms resistance to fade away as its members slump, and some of the earlier defeated parts of it are roasted alive. Gordon meanwhile is blasting psychic waves from his monstrous eyes down upon the last vestiges of resistance before him. The Nidoking that had been tryign to lead what remains of the swarm faints, swiftly followed by the remaining members of the swarm.
[Victory! Everyone is feeling better of their control of their Divine Forms now, Divine Forms gain +1 Level.] [Everyone is currently already at 100 Food Level. You feel a slight pull to consume, but it can be easily ignored right now. You eat some of the extra before them to ensure you stay at 100]
Gordon shrinks back to normal. "Good job. Looks like you've gotten the hang of these forms."

Gil shifts back to human form quickly, and runs his hands over his head, slicking his hair back.
"Yeah... Fan-fucking-tastic. I'm a glorified squirt gun."
The man merely rolls his eyes and looks around to the carnage.
Hmmm.
"Anyway, I believe we gotta bird to eat up? I call dibs on one of it's arms, I want some barbeque wings."

Mildred shifted back, a small grin still hung across her lips as she gave a stretch. "Well that was more interesting than I had expected previously... almost enjoyable," she laughed softly, eyes shifting to Gil as her grin turned to a smirk. "It wasn't so bad, and it's not like it won't be useful if anything decides to try and roast us up nice and crisp."
She turned on heel, looking towards snow with a slight nod in agreement with Gil. "Ah yes, our previous appointment calls, hm?" she commented, eyes flicking down the path as they were finally properly adjusted, "I can only assume this was a small taste of what will come."

I mean, she was getting hit with a lot of poison attacks, we sure 'that' wasn't the reason she found it 'fun'? Although... she does look a lot healthier than when we actually did our deals before. That's whatcha get from partaking in your own product. That's just throwing money away, damn...
Gil kicks a rock at the pile of corpses, and then shrugs in agreement.
"Ok... 'maybe' it was a little fun. Bearing down two fully crowned Nidos and a pile of their kids with just us four and not really in that much trouble after is... Well it's a little empowering. I'll admit that."

Gordon looks over the destruction with a slight smile. "I take it none of you are hungry again yet. We should indeed continue to Lavender Town, but there will be a slight change of plans. I'll give you all a few hours in town for your divine forms to heal. This should also allow Luke to take care of whatever task he had in mind."

Once again sated, Lina commented, "I don't know that I could call it fun or empowering just yet. But, I suppose if we need to expect such things at any time, it'll become more nor-... We'll get used to it." Divine or not, it seemed like they weren't strong enough to throw caution to the wind. It was disappointing, but shouldn't have been such a surprise, really.
Shaking off such negative tones, she asked, Understood, sir. Umm. Our being in Lavender Town won't cause all the ghosts any unrest, will it? Or should we be on our guard there, too?"

"The town itself should be reasonably safe..." he trails off and seems to think for a moment. "You should stay away from the tower though. Threading upon such hallowed ground would most definitely bring attention upon yourself from every ghost inside." His expression then gets far more serious. "In case I haven't made it clear enough yet, you can't let people see you transform or doing anything else supernatural. If you're spotted already in Divine Form fair enough, they've been sighted before and it should be easy to shrug off once we've moved on, so long as it doesn't happen too much. But if it were to get out that there were people transforming, that would cause greater trouble. If you're seen you'll have to kill any witnesses. As we'd prefer not to kill innocents, lets not be seen shall we."

Hmm. Given Chef Snow's goals, such discretion made sense. Moreover, it was good to have such clear instructions before it became an issue. Reining in any stray enthusiasm out of respect for the subject matter, Lina replied, "Right, still a good idea to treat anything sacred with the respect it deserves... And our business with the severity it deserves. I'm sure we would all prefer to avoid causing any trouble with the common people, right?"
That said, a rather visibly distinct Legend walking about with people was just as bad. Once she'd finished speaking, Lina returned to her human form as well.

Luke stands, having transformed back to his human form and knelt over their fallen enemies for a moment. He wasn't sure if anything was still listening to him, but after mumbling a short wish that their souls would find peace, he made his way over to Snow.
"Hey, you're a chef, right? Wouldn't it be a good idea to do something with all these fresh ingredients?" While he hated to talk about living beings like objects, once the soul had passed the story was different. Their new life required a rather particular diet, and since they had someone capable of preparing meals that would keep for more than a few hours it would be foolish not to put it to use.
Stay away from the tower... He cursed mentally, trying not to let his annoyance show. He could pay his respects elsewhere in the village, but he would have preferred to actually visit the graves. Another reason to find a way to reverse this, if nothing else.

Gil stifles laughter when the Chef brings up his not wanting to bring 'innocents' into the mix.
Alright so we are all gonna just let that comment slide? Like, aren't the legends innocent, and all these pokemon, and well... us? Ok maybe most of us aren't innocent. I know Mildred and I aren't anywhere near that. And it friggin sounds like Lina might have some literal skeletons in a closet somewhere. Probably calls it research or some shit. But... uhhh. I guess Luke seems like a goody two shoes guy? We'll go with that.
"Sure, sure. Don't go into the tower, we'll hear the wailing of the damned or whatever. I was just going to take my new dowsing rod on a test run."

"I suppose so. Only one of you gets to eat tomorrow after all..."
He pulls out a knife and starts finishing the fainted enemies and carving them up, one by one. It's a lot of enemies. There is still some usable meat on Nidoqueen too. gwYwQzmk1d8-1 from king 1d10 from hoard 1 1d12 from hoard 2 Hoard 1 grants 2d4 Hoard 2 grants 4d4 21*5 = 105 Food, converted to 1050 food Scrap
"One of you should really learn to do this... Hmmm, I will turn this into something more useful during the rest hours tomorrow. Anyway, let us move on." He turns very briefly into his tiny form again, and waves his hands causing the earth to open and the carcass to disappear within. The then earth closes up afterwards and he pushes the fense back into place. The plants don't regrow but there's less signs of brutal combat at least... "Should you eat gods with similar abilities I recommend you clean up in a similar manner. Now it just looks like some battles happened." The blood might still be something of a giveaway, but hedoesn't seem ot consider.
He leads you onward and you arrive to Lavender Town at about dawn.
"Alright, we'll head up the mountain at noon. Meet me at the northern exit to town by then. Don't be late." It seems you are, in at least one sense, now free.1d8-1·1d10·1d12·2d4·4d4

Wait. We gotta fight over the zappy bird? Shit. We'll have to look into 'alternative' paths to get what I need then. Not for this one, being a blue lightbulb that breaks when it feels anything more than like 5 watts is not going to get me employee of the month and first dibs at a legend. So we'll have to wait for the next go round.
Gil merely shrugs and shakes his head, obviously annoyed at Gordon's suggestion. He doesn't have freaking magic, how's he supposed to hide carnage outside of asking Luke to just burn everything down? Whatever.
"Well alright, good talk. To the rest of ya'll, do what you want, I'm going to go shard-hunting and hopefully make something so my toy-form doesn't die in one-hit."
Gil starts to walk off, but turns.
"Oh, and I forgot to mention; I got some simple ways to teach moves to pokemon I offered as a service not too long ago to people. Nothing really special or powerful, but hey an edge is an edge right? But uh, don't expect it for free. Can only do so much before I start needing stuff in return. We can talk at the gate, I'll probably set up there and just wait."
Gil whisks off into the town, and pulls out the dowsing rod. Giving it it's first real test run, he finds that a town known for spirits and such was a shard hotspot! He finds a bunch, and takes off to the gate to wait for the others and rest a bit. He sits down, and in a 'This Phione form is weak af and I gotta get some sort of armor' mode; he places 4 Green Shards and creates a Grass Brace. Not the one he wanted but hey it'll come in handy eventually.
(Gil has his base Mentor Feature available to use, but you'll need to discuss some sort of 'payment' to Gil himself. [1 Tutor point to learn a level up move within 10 levels or a move off of your tutor list that has a (n) next to it.])

On the one hand, learning to cook (perhaps from Chef Snow himself!) wasn't a bad idea, even if "cooking" here entailed butchering conquered foes to stave off that whole "starvation" effect they were now susceptible too. On the other hand, a cook Lina was not. Various and useful chemical medleys, sure, but something someone would want to eat? Moving on...
After waiting for about an hour, Lina made her way back out to where Gil was (or had been) hard at work, and asks, "Excuse me, Mister Gil? I, I'm not particularly concerned with tutoring, but, perhaps I c-could offer you a... trade?" Sure, it was nothing like an old and powerful relic, or a fancy ornamental knickknack, but the man was smart, he'd probably see the benefits... She hoped. "...Since we're going into the mountains, I was wondering if you could find me a coat or cloak or... Something. I've heard it gets really cold up there, s-so I wanted to take precautions."
It feels like I'm forgetting... Oh! Digging into one of her pockets, she hurriedly pulled out an Enhancer, adding, "Th-these should still work on, umm, us, and I made a few extra. Would... That be an acceptable exchange, do you think?"

Hey that works.
Gil had hoped someone would have 'something' of use to him, and yeah enhancers would do the trick nicely.
"Well Lina, just so happens I have the resources to make a spare cloak for you, and I'd be 'happy' to do a trade for that. Done and Done."
With that, Gil goes to work quickly making a Winter Cloak up according to her frame and size, and hands it over.

...it worked. It worked~! It might have been an everyday transaction for some, but such a simple exchange was really quite pleasant! On receiving the cloak, Lina gave up some of her product, whatever the businessman thought was appropriate. As much as she wasn't a cook, a tailor she was not either, and so she didn't really feel qualified to make a claim as to their relative values. Transferring 5 X-Special Attack, 2 X-Accuracy and a Poison Pesterball to Gil. (Converting from Scrap as needed) 200 Scrap remaining After bidding a temporary farewell, her lack of business in Lavender Town reared its head... What to do until noon? Perhaps there would be a library far, far from the tower? Some last-minute research on their next meal might serve well later.

Gil finishes the trade with Lina, and continues just sitting waiting for the others, and he can't help but feel a bit puzzled. He had to be good at reading people to get the best deal possible out of them, and he notes that she's not really 'acting' like the psycho he assumed earlier. At least not entirely. She seemed almost 'shy' with him, and wasn't really into the fighting as much as say Mildred was, or even himself.
She still skeeves him out, but it's just making a tiniest bit more sense now.
After that, he gets the text noting the 5000 in his account.
That's some serious chunk of change every day. Hmm, I think between what Lina just gave me and what Gordon supplied us with originally, I'm good on base supplies for now. I guess I could get some tms but I'm not sure what'll help vs the zap chicken. I'll be smart and hold onto it for now.
