"Astonishing..." Arnold mutters to himself as he repeats the fevered process, turning the page for each new move.
"That's perfect, I owe you one for showing your stuff-" Arnie is panicked to find his book was missing after the last trick (trying not to let it show, but he's no cool cucumber), then to find it in the hands of a fire pokemon.
Vicky's words helped his heart clime down out of his throat, and his heart rate settled into a normal rhythm as he received his book back from Vicky who in turn got it from Candle. "Your raising him/her quite well, thanks again."
Clutching the book closer to him, he explains, "I'm studying moves, and I can, well, I can teach them to pokemon. So if ever you need something like that we can talk about it."
Moving to tuck away his book he thinks better of it and begins to take notes on the Boardwalk area on a page in the back of the book.
Realizing he had sidetracked to Candle's display, he put his pencil down and turned his attencion the the newcomer with the odd speech pattern. He began to fiddle with his necklace as he addressed him. "Sorry, I get distraced some times when pokemon are displaying move, see it kind of my thing, I'm studying-" realizing that was not the point, and he might start to ramble, he centered himself, moving forward, extending a hand, "My name is Arnold, pleasure to meet you."
Pulling out similar paperwork to that mentioned, "it seems that yes, we'll be working together, are you from around here?"
Feeling uncomfortable about being tapped with a gun, Arnie steps away from Corbett, folding the papers hastily back into his bag, showing his empty hands Palm's up. "Hay, I didn't say anyhting... just... hitting the league together." With a smile, "how about holstering that thing?"
Corbett's eyes sparkle with anticipation. He drops his bag and furiously starts whipping out various containers filled with different colored paintball pellets of various sizes.
"These blue ones are 68 cal GXG Z-foam that are best for target practice, while the hot pink .43 Patrikovs are traditional paint that leave a strong sent so my pokemon can easily see and smell the targets! The .56 black rubber pellets are for badguys, and are generally nonlethal, but if used by the wrong people can easily blow out an eye. Oh that's right! I have two pokemon with me"
Corbett then releases Noibat and Growlithe. Noibat comfortably perks himself on top of Corbett's head while Growlithe eagerly sniffs everything in the immediate vicinity
"The noibat is radar. He acts as my eyes in the sky. The growlithe is fang and works as my tracker and frontline!"
Corbett then continues to eagerly describe how cool every aspect of his gun, ammo, and pokemon are until he is stopped.
"I've never seen a Noibat before, is he Flying/Poison?" Arnold looks from Radar to Fang, admiring the Growlith's shimmering coat as it sniffed about. He was excited to see what these new team members can do, but didn't want to come across over eager.
Reaching slowly to point at the pink pellets, "These smell then," sniffing to see if he could detect anything through the shells, "can Fang track these, and if so, would you mind if I held onto one, you know, just in case?"
"Radar's a flying dragon actually. He's very powerful, and so is Fang. He should have no trouble keeping track of one of these. Watch"
With Fang distracted with his frantic sniffing, Corbett quickly loads a pink pellet, steadies his rifle, and fires at a distant barrel roughly 10 M away. Fang's tail perks up as he starts sniffing the air, and after a bit of investigation, he manages to track down the barrel and begins growling at it. Corbett whistles him back.
"See? He's a genius. I don't mind you having a pellet, just in case. Just know that it doesn't give off the scent until you break it, and once it's broke, it's pretty rancid"

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.

but how else do i find games then?

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
