Olmia Academy. It always seemed far away, like an impossible dream. Defeat was crushing, but this time, there was hope. Trinity. You’d heard the rumors, sure, but they were just rumors. Why would they be interested in Olmia Academy? It seemed so silly, but for one reason or another, you replied. You said yes. Thinking back, you remember the message quite well… After you replied, they said your first mission would be given to you when you arrived at Olmia, but you’ve been standing around for close to twenty minutes. Come to think of it...that guide Olmia Academy promised would show you around on your first day isn’t here yet either...The main lobby is very nice, but not as decorative as the stuff in Fero. There aren’t as many flowers here due to the snow, so it doesn’t smell with the same sweet and flowery fragrance. As the minutes pass, your phone buzzes. It’s a message from an unrecognized number. Just like when Trinity first contacted you….Looking at the message, it says the following, with a picture attached. In three minutes, you hear some yelling and clattering. “Sorry!”, the voice repeats. It isn’t long before you see the woman. She speedily walks over, a light purple blob following her. The blob has green dots in it, along with eyes and a mouth. “Sorry I’m late! Am I late!?” She excitedly exclaims, only pausing once, looking like she remembers something as she does. “Oh yeah! Are you Zodor Mayka? Nice name! I like it. Zooooodooooorrr.”
Getting a better look at her, you see why she might be so fast. She’s quite small, and can’t be taller than 5’5. You also notice the bat-wings on her back. Not something you see everyday. If you got disqualified for being “mentally unstable”, how in the world is she working here? She looks quite excitable, and seems to be gushing with energy. Her hair is long and red, and she even has red eyes to match. Wait...Is she getting taller?!?! As you watch, the woman rises a few inches off the ground by flapping her wings so she’s eye to eye with you. “Hope you don’t mind, I just like being at eye level!”The purple blob seems to have taken an interest with you, and it’s coming closer. It seems to look you over, and circles around you. “Don’t mind him. He’s just curious!”

Zo had been calmly sitting in the lobby, making use of the long wait to go over the last details on his few 'gadgets', to make sure they seemed legit ... from a distance, at least. His Pattern Interferencer ("Leave your opponent unconscious, incapable or lacking!") was a simple flashlight outfitted with some extra coloured LED-lights, copper wire forming a sort of cage over the light and all this held together by large amounts of Duct Tape. His 'Flame Engorger ("And with this magnificant contraption, I can set ablaze to all in my way!") was a large lighter with a sort of gun like appearance thanks to a construction of, once again, copper wire and Duct Tape. While he was doing this, he was getting more and more nervous about his time on Olmia. Sweet Mew, they're gonna find out! There's no way in the Distorted World that I can get away with this for 18 months. I'm sure half of the people here are actual tech-wizzes. Well, no sense backing out now, the show must go on after all.Guile Check to make the 'Pattern Interferencer' yzooxdlQ3d6+6+1 Guile Check to make the 'Flame Engorger' 3d6+6+1 Spending 1 AP on both of the rolls He is broken out of his revery by his phone buzzing, and quickly puts away his tools and 'gadgets', though making sure he has easy access to them when needed. He stands up when his guide arrives, mentally cringing slightly as she mentions his name. As usual, I suppose. It is an odd name. Outwardly, however, he smiles enthusiastically, shaking his head at the woman's Are those bat wings? apologies and waving his hands as if to scare away the notion. "Don't apologise, I don't mind the wait. And please, call me Zo. Zodor sounds rather ... out there, I find. And it appears you have me at an advantage, to whom do I have the pleasure of speaking?" He pointedly looks at her face after the initial shock of her wings and her flight have worn off. He chuckles as the Pokémon comes closer to observe him, curious as to what it is. The symbol from the message seems...vaguely familiar. Maybe it’s from a book, but you can tell it isn’t a rune, or similar. Speaking of recognizing things, you recognize the Pokemon as a Spiritomb. There weren’t many in Melodes, but you can easily recognize it. You also remember the vague idea of an Elementalist. Something about Pokemon types and powers... The woman’s wings are quite distracting, and no matter how hard you try, you can’t see a pin on her. Maybe it isn’t there, but you might need to look again to be sure. The woman smiles, and seems to be won over by your charming presence. “Zo. I can do that!!” She says after thinking for a bit. “I'm Lili-Whoops!” She covers her mouth. “I’m Ms.Evans.”“That’s Abbadon!” She gestures to the Spiritomb, the thing making something like a scream, but it sounded happy. After examining you, he floats back over to Ms. Evans, folding around her in what must be some attempt at a hug. “I suppose we should get started then, yeah?” She smiles, and then proceeds to fly into a wall. “Whoops! Never can get used to that.” She giggles before correcting herself, and flying towards a door. She opens it, but pushes too hard and tumbles into the room. Following her, she leads you into a large gym. The room has lots of equipment, including weapons, items, ropes, obstacles, and much more. Clearly, there is a focus on fitness here, as it looks quite well used, but in good condition. “This is the gym! There’s a lot of fun stuff to do here! There’s weights and jump-ropes and obstacle courses and it’s so fun! It’s a bit hard for me, though. They don’t have much for people with wings...” She says happily. Please roll Perception.

Zo smiles again as the woman introduced herself as Ms. Evans, amused at the near slip up, and her partner as Abbadon. "Well met, Miss Evans, and you too, sir Abbadon! I would introduce my partner as well, but alas, I have yet to meet them!" he replies, sighing dramatically while hanging his head, before raising it again, smirking. "Soon though, I do hope. Shall we start our tour?" He motions for the woman to go first, watching her crash into the wall. He raises an eyebrow and smirks. "Not used to flying or not used to walls?" he asks, equal parts amused and curious. Not everyday you meet an Elementalist, less yet an accepted one.He merely chuckles as she half falls through the door, not saying anything. When they enter the gym, Zo looks around for a moment, not really interested, while letting Miss Evans tell her story. He nods his head for a moment, before walking in a bit further. "Ah yes, while this gym is indeed quite impressive, I am afraid to say that I am not exactly... physically inclined. I will frankly admit that I am not the particularly good at most physical exercise. As such, this room is of minimal interest to me. So I suggest we move on quickly to whatever destination you had planned. Or, if I may make a suggestion myself," - He spins around on the spot so he is facing Miss Evans, smirking - " a stage, perhaps?" A plan was setting roots in Zo's mind, but that would require a stage, Miss Evans co-operation, some luck and for him to FIND THE BLASTED PIN! Perception Check: |TjbatSx2d6+1 spending 1 AP

“Both, actually. I..uh...haven’t really gotten used to it yet.” She says sheepishly. She even blushes a little from your charm.
As you explain how you want to go to the stage, Ms. Evan’s face lights up. “That was the next destination anyway!”
As she leads you across the hallway to the stage/Contest Hall, she begins to ask you questions and compliment you. “Do you like drama? I’m sure you’d be an amazing actor! There’s a drama club here. I wish I could be in it, but I’m not a very good actor myself. Are you interested in contests? I’m not allowed to do them, but they’re so pretty! The High Coordinator is so cute!” She rambles, pushing the door open, revealing the stage. As she walked you from room to room, she wasn’t paying much attention and you could make out the outline of a pin in her pocket.
The room is sparse and without many decorations. The curtains are a deep blue with snowflakes embroidered on them, but there isn’t much else making it “pretty”. For a school priding itself on such luxury, it’s contest hall and stage are quite lacking.
“Ta-da!”

Zo claps his hand together, smiling as he notices the blush on Miss Evans face. Excellent. The bait has been set. Now to set the trap. "Wonderful! Please, lead the way!" Motioning for her to move, he follows behind, happily providing answers as they move. "I fully intend on joining the drama club, yes, for mine is a skill that cannot be squandered on the few. No, milady, I fully intend to share my gift, to entertain the people of Zaphros. As such, not merely drama, but too contests I shall join, on occasion, though I will try and focus on battles."He follows Miss Evans into the contest hall, a little surprised at the simplicity, but still capable of seeing the potential. "Wonderful! Absolutely amazing! Would you mind terrible if I put on a short show, just for you and good sir Abbadon?"
Not waiting for an answer, he walks up to the stage, climbs on, turns around and spreads his arm as if to greet an audience. "Please, please, take your seat!" Waiting for a moment to see Ms Evans' response, he continues if she doesn't stop him. "Welcome, lady and gentlemon! My name is Zo, the Powerful and Great, and I shall be your host tonight! Now, to design my many wondrous inventions, I have observed a great deal of Pokémon, in particularly the Ghosts and Psychics, to study how they inflict their myriad of inflictions. One in particular caught my fancy, an ancient looking Hypno that struck my interest in the subtle art of hypnotism. As such, I trained and trained till I got to the level I am currently." - He smirks cheekily - "Now, for my next trick I am going to need a volunteer from the audience!" Zo speaks with confidence and suave, clearly used to speaking in front of an audience (of two, at the moment, but still), a large grin on his face as he feels truly at home. He looks expectantly at the bat woman. Guile sqCo9Nvl4d6 Charm 3d6

When asked if she would mind a show, both herself and Abaddon nod. They’re both enraptured by your performance and seem to hang on every word. Almost immediately, the woman raises her hand after you ask for a volunteer.
“Me! Me, me me!” She practically starts jumping up and down, trying to get your attention.

Like catching Magikarp in a barrel. Zo starts looking further back in the room, grinning, as if trying to find a suitable volunteer from the non-existant audience - gotta keep them wanting, right? - before finally settling on Ms. Evans. "You there, the girl with the bat wings. Please come up front!"
He waits for her to have reached the stage, before setting them both so that'd they be visible from the audience (AKA good sir Abbadon) and asking her some questions. "So, miss, what is your name?"
"You can confirm that before today we have not met?"
"And now, Lilith, are you ready?"After each question, he gives the appropriate response before moving to the next. Finally, when he's done, he looks at her seriously. "Now, Lilith, it is most imperative that you trust me completely. I promise that I shall not take advantage of the situation, and good sir Abbadon shall be my witness, but still, if I succeed, I shall have full control over you. So I ask you, Lilith, do you trust me?" When she answers positevely, Zo smiles and claps his hands, before moving his necklace over his head and holding it like a makeshift pendant. "Excellent! Please stand still and follow my instructions" He stands in front of her, letting the pendant drop, holding it only by the necklace itself, and starts slowly swinging it back and forth, slowly increasing the pace till he thinks it's right. "Follow the pendulum, Lilith, and listen to my voice. There is naught in the world but the pendulum swinging to and fro and the sound of my voice. You feel tired, dead tired, your eyelids the heaviest burden you have ever carried. You want nothing more than to let them drop and drift off into sleep. Your mind is a void, devoid of emotions, thoughts or worries and no dreams shall interupt your rest. Still, you hear nothing but the sound of my voice, see nothing but the pendulum swinging from side to side, calling you, beckoning you to drift off into sleep. Sleep, Lilith, and let me in..."
Once Zo is certain it has worked, and Miss Evans is soundly asleep, his hand shoots off and into her pocket, snatching away the desired pin. As he does this, he steps closer, moves his face to her ear and whispers: "When I snap my fingers you will awake, and remember nothing that happened while you were sleeping, but this: 'Zo the Powerful and Great is awesome.' " He then steps back, pockets the pin and snaps his fingers. He looks at Miss Evans expectantly. "And? How do you feel?"

“Lilith Evans.”
“I can confirm that, yes.”
“I’m ready!”
Ms. Evans’ answers each question in turn, eager to begin. She hangs on your words, and nods appropriately.
“I trust you!” She says, excitedly.
As you talk to her, she seems to visibly relax. Her blinks start to become less frequently. She even starts to sway a bit. It isn’t very long before her limbs give out and she becomes a sleeping mass on the floor. She involuntarily curls up, soon after falling asleep, and looks almost like a sleeping puppy as she peacefully lays there. It’s easy for you to pick her pocket with her in that state.
Your phone buzzes.
After snapping your fingers, Lilith awakes and looks quite pleased. “That was fun!”
She stands though, and looks more curious. “How did you learn to do that? Or were you more naturally gifted? I suppose you’re in good company though.”
She giggles, then whispers, “I can do that too.”
She steps back from you, breathes, then mumbles a few things as her hand glows with a strange purple light. It speedily floats over to you, then seems to envelop you. You feel dizzy but your mind is surprisingly clear. Then, it stops. The next thing you see is Lilith looking quite confused.
“Didn’t work. Maybe I’m still tired.” She shrugs, quickly getting over it. Her phone buzzes, and she blushes.
“We should probably get moving! Sound good?”

Zo smiles slightly as Miss Evans curls up in her sleep. Okay, that's adorable His smiles turns into a smirk of victory as he succesfully grabs hold of the pin, and when his phone buzzes and he has read the message, he holds up his thumb in the air, and smirks, figuring whoever texted him can see, not in the least bit perturbed. He then snaps his fingers and smiles as Miss Evans gets up and says she found it fun. At her question he answers: "I am, as I said, self taught. Nothing I was born with but my intellect and curiosity."When she fires of a ball of purple light herself, he's stunned. What in the Distorted World was that? Is she ... could she be? Crap, she's unto me already!? Whatever that was, that was magic, and she specifically stated that she can do that too... Well, so much for my cover up, bring on the torches and pitchforks... "Ahh, you meant where I learned that... Still self taught, actually, but I would prefer it if you kept that bit between us, please? I'd rather not have people going after me." He looks rather worried now, afraid his secret would be out before school even began. He nods when she suggests continueing the tour. "Yes, let's!" He claps his hands together and motions for her to go. "Please, lead the way!"

Zo easily recognizes what Lilith is doing. She had been trying to Hypnotize you, but it felt off. It felt cold and...odd..Reaching back much farther into your memory, you remember a certain old book. You don’t remember how you came across the book, you just remember the beautiful, careful handwriting of it. Your own hexes were associated with light, so the color of her Hypnosis beam of sorts didn't bother you. The feeling, did. It felt like something was messing with your mind, and you know that isn't how that should feel. Getting back to that book, you remember it talking about "The Spirit Realm" and describing that feeling. It said that Ghost's attacks normally felt that way, but if a human's attacks ever felt so cold and lifeless, take caution. Perhaps there's more to Lilith than she's letting on?
“Understood. I’m actually...not really allowed to do that anymore.” She explains, blushing a little and looking guilty as she speaks.
“Alright! Let’s go upstairs!” She says, leading you out of the room and up a set of stairs.
Upon reaching the top of the stairs, she flies around a bit and looks around the right corridor. “There are classrooms here.” She flies to the other corridor. “And here!”
She flies over to a door behind the dual staircases. “The library’s over here! Come on!”
The library is quite large with tables, bookcases, and the latest in computing technology. One of them even has a fancy holographic screen! You’ve only read about those in books! A small office sits off to the size, and you can guess this is where the librarian’s office is.
“This is the library. It’s really nice! The librarian is a really cool guy too! His name is Mr. Adams, and if you ever need a book, he’ll be able to find it. I promise!”

Well, that was unpleasant. Whatever it was, it shouldn't be something a human is capable of... Then again, perhaps part of her power set includes more ghostlike powers... perhaps she isn't flying, but levitating, as plenty of ghosts tend to do... Would also explain why she tried to go through the door... I need to look into this... While pondering this, Zo smiles and nods, following the bat-winged woman upstairs, looking with limited interest at the classrooms. His interest is spiked, however, when they arrive at the library. "It's ... amazing. Really, truly amazing. I do think I will be spending a fair amount of time here. The librarian, what's he like? Nice guy, stern, really high-strung on the 'silence in the library' thing?" And I might need to bother learning some actual tech knowledge, the way this place is outfitted.

“Mr. Adams? He’s real nice, and patient too!” She pauses for a moment. “But, between you and me, he’s a bit of a stickler for the rules.”
After giving you a moment to look around, Ms. Evans starts to lead you out of the room. “Let’s get movin’, yeah?”
She walks you up to the next floor, but explains there’s nothing but classrooms up there. On the next floor, though, she gets back to explaining the rooms.
She points to a room on the left. “That’s the rec room! There’s a lot of fun stuff in there! Next to that, there’s the staff breakroom. ” She points to the right. “There’s a few offices and the staff bathrooms. There isn’t really much over there-oh! There’s the Elite Four and High Coordinator’s office for when they come to visit!” She points behind you. “The cafeteria is there! The food there is so, so yummy!”
She starts to lead you back down the stairs, and continues talking to you. “Guess what!? You’re gonna get your Pokemon now! I can’t wait to see what you picked!”
When you get back to the first floor, she goes to a set of double doors, and unlocks them. After passing through those, she pushes another set of double doors open. You see a white and sterile room. People in labcoats mill about, dodging stainless steel tables and beakers. On the table in front of you sits a backpack and a single pokeball.
“C’mon! Let’s see it!”

Zo chuckles at her comments on Mr. Adams. "Oh, I'm sure we'll get allong juuuust fine then."
He follows Ms Evans through the rest of the building, excitement growing as he walks. I'm so close. I'm so close. Just a few more minutes and I'll have my first Pokémon.
When they finally reach the laboratory where he sees the Pokéball (his Pokéball) and other gear, he reaches for the ball, hand trembling slightly in anticipation, and he picks it up. "Hello, my new friend, let's meet face to face, shall we?" he whispers to the ball before releasing the Murkrow he knows is in it.

You caught a Murkrow! Everything in your bag is the stuff you already have in your inventory that the school gives out, like the Pokedex and Pokeballs, so don't worry about adding it. After releasing the Murkrow, it just looks at you. It tilts it’s head from side to side as it looks, but it doesn’t do much. Then, it flies up and goes for your neck. IAfter your initial moment of panic, you realize it was just going for your necklace. It tries to tug it off your neck, but it soon realizes that isn’t going to work. It flies over to Lilith, and repeats the same tilting head process. Lilith tilts her head with it. The Murkrow then dives at her chest, trying to peck off one of the buttons on her vest. Lilith laughs, and simply says, “Hey!” The Murkrow perches on your shoulder, occasionally pecking at your necklace. “Well...He’s certainly...different.” Lilith comments. Your Murkrow crows. “Hey! You know I meant it in a good way!” She laughs.

Zo laughs once he realises what the Murkrow is aiming for, and his joy only increases as he goes for Miss Evans as well. "He's perfect, absolutely perfect! And I have just the name for you too!" he says, looking at the corvid that landed on his shoulder. "You shall be called Lipwig. How does that sound to you?"

Lipwig tilts his head, then caws happily while jumping from foot to foot. He seems to like it! “Now that that’s done, we should finish up the tour!” Ms. Evans leads you out of the room, humming a tune as she does. Once out, she closes and locks the set of double doors once again. After exiting the building, the cold of Olmia wafts over you once more. Melodes was quite sunny, but there was always a cold draft coming up from the lake. It won’t take too long to get used to. As you start off, Ms. Evans slips, and after composing herself, she starts to fly again. “If I walk, I’ll trip too much. I hope you don’t mind!” “Here is the Training facilities! For a fee of $500, the on-staff Trainers will train up to six Pokemon there! It’s a really well-kept place.” She points out a blue building with white lettering on it, then moves to point at a similar building. “That one is the Grooming facilities! You can leave your Pokemon to be groomed there while you take classes or do other activities! Abby really likes it there, but I think that’s just because there’s always so much going on.”As you walk, Abaddon seems to take interest in Lipwig. Lipwig doesn't seem too interested in him, though, and a game of cat and mouse begins between the two. It's kind of cute. She leads you to a large building, and knocks on the door. A short boy who looks quite young answers the door. In fact, he could be easily mistaken for a girl, and you might’ve yourself if you didn’t know this was a probably one of the male dorms He has short silver hair, and grey-blue eyes. You can see from their eyes the energy in this kid. He has on a grey long-sleeve shirt and a green bowler shirt over it. He has on a pair of plain black pants and green sneakers. “Hi! I brought a new friend for you guys! Don’t be too harsh on the guy!” Ms. Evans says, pushing you into the room. The room is large, but quite quaint. There’s a small kitchenette off to the side with a bar style counter-top and stools. Further in the room is a large seating area with couches, recliners, and a fireplace. Above the fireplace is a large television, and next to the fireplace is a singular holographic computer. Lamps and tasteful throw blankets adorn the room, but it has mostly been left empty to allow the students to decorate. A bunch of suitcases litter the room. There’s a hallway on the left that you assume leads to the rooms. “What’s your name? Where are you from?” The boy asks excitedly. “Oooh! A Murkrow? That’s really cool!”The two guys sitting on the couch together look insanely similar. Are they twins? Anyway, these two guys both have ginger hair and hazel eyes. They’re very attractive, but you see a mischievous glint in their eyes. They could make for good friends, or rivals. The two guys are tall and of medium build. You wouldn’t call them gangly, but they aren’t fat either. You wouldn’t be able to tell them apart if they weren’t wearing different clothes. Good luck telling them apart in uniform...They're both are in quite fashionable clothes. They both have a pair of black jeans with rips on them and a pair of high-top sneakers on. The first one has a red flannel shirt around his waist, while the second wears another red flannel. The first has on a black shirt and a large green jacket, while the other just has on black shirt with some words or a graphic on it. You can’t really tell. They also both have on necklaces of some type, but you can’t really recognize if they have any meaning. The third and final guy who looks quite uncomfortable sitting in a chair near the two twins has slick blue hair and blue eyes. He keeps fidgeting, and its obvious he doesn’t really want to be here. He also looks to be quite tall, but much more muscular than the other two. Unlike the other two, his clothes are quite simple. He only has on a white shirt and blue cardigan with a pair of simple gray pants and boots.

Zo smiles pleasantly, and walks inside, stopping roughly in the middle of the room. He bows slightly, making sure not to disturb Lipwig too much, and speaks. "My name is Zodor Mayka, but please, call me Zo. My corvid friend here is Lipwig. And to answer your question, I'm from Melodes, in lovely Fero. And if I may know your name?" He glances at the twins, and recognizing two fellow pranksters, he positions himself just so Lipwig has a perfect view of their necklaces. This should be fun. Charm for good impressions j4s1fs4N3d6+1 spending 1 AP cause why not 3d6+1

Seeing the twin’s necklaces, Lipwig dances on your shoulder then takes flight. He aims for one of the twin’s neck, and he hits his target. With the necklace in his beak, he tries to fly back to your shoulder. The necklace was still very much attached to the guy’s neck though. His brother starts convulsing in laughter at this. The man simply sighs and takes out a Pokeball. He releases a small black and red vulpine animal. “Cheshire, shiny.”
The animal barks and sits. On the ground between you and the twins, a shiny pendant shows up out of nowhere. It looks like the light is hitting it just right, making it sparkle in the sun. Lipwig immediately drops the necklace, then flies down to the ground. He pecks the pendant, but his beak just passes through it. The pendant seems to flicker as Lipwig continues to peck away at it. Please roll Pokemon Edu. “Aw man! I was totally gonna hide what Pokemon I got!” He says grumpily. “I knew letting you ask for a Zorua was a bad idea.” Brother #2 laughs. “Are you two alright?” The boy asked. “He’s fine! Just being a little grumpy-puss.” Brother #2 pinches his brother’s cheek, much to his annoyance. “Stop that!” He slaps his brother’s hand away. The two start bickering. “Umm..Alright?” The boy tilts his head, clearly not understanding what the twins were doing. “I’m Dakota! I’m from Yarrin! I hope we can work together!” Dakota smiles, then looks over to the twins. They’re now laughing, and the one who’s necklace was almost stolen by Lipwig introduces himself first. “I’m Jay, and this is Cheshire.” He gestures to the black and red animal. “I’m Quinn. We’re from Impero.” The other one adds. Please roll Intuition. After waiting for a bit, Jay sighs. “Xander! Come introduce yourself!”The blue haired guy sighs as well, then walks over, still looking at the ground. “I’m Xander.” He says simply. So you’re roughly in the same spot as almost everyone else right now, so I’m gonna hold off here. After your next reply, I’ll reply less often because the next post will be in a group thread. The main thing is keeping everyone in the same point. Basically feel free to chit-chat with the NPCs or do anything that isn’t major. Basically, don’t beat anyone up. If you have questions about what’s major, feel free to ask in the Skype chat.
