Midna frowns as she looks the loggers over again. "If you two want to try and talk to them, be my guest. We can watch you from here. Just try not to need us." She flashes a tiny grin, "Just try not to smile at them too hard. You've quite a set of choppers."
The words hardly leave her mouth before Frank strides out there. "You better catch up to him," she says to Freya, "He might end up hurting himself."
With the two diplomats on their way, she turns to question the Chell. "What do you mean 'robots'? They just look like big bugs to me. Well, the round ones look like some kind of golem..." They certainly weren't the same as she was used to but they did have a certain strange glow to them. Of course so did Poes...

"Well, why would they be concerned about the welfare of a few insignificant bugs? No doubt they have plent... Oh, she's gone. Oh well...!" Hura said even as their group split up. He wasn't overly concerned with... any of it, really. But, the rest of them needed something to do, while they waited. And maybe watched. He also wasn't concerned with whatever a 'robot' might be... Probably some local term, it probably didn't matter. Were a 'robot' and a 'golem' different, then? Agh, who cared? "Hrmp. They act like bugs too. But I don't think that's important, they'll probably just talk with the ones in charge. Nice of them to invite us to join, though."
Deciding that watching their negotiations from afar would be terribly boring, Hura turned instead to face the other two, and asked, "They left us all alone, aww... Since they clearly don't need our help, I guess we'll just wait here... I know! When they get back, the three of us should have the next direction picked out! So where do you two feel like going?" Grinning at Chell in particular, the insect adds, "'Course, if you chose for our quiet friend, its not like we'd know the difference~"

The whole party seems to stop, clearly noticing Freya and Frank heading toward them. The ants look to the golems nervously, and the biggest golem points to one of the underlings and then points to the two approaching party members.
The teal golem stomps over in front of the two, dividing them from the group of ants. The golem stares for a moment before merely making a wave of it's hand, as if to shoo them away.

"Well, it certainly is a pleasure to see a friendly face! My companion and I have walked for several hours and haven't seen anyone we could speak to. Would you be so kind as to orient us a bit? We are a bit turned around."Frank says this with his head raised confidently, as though he were speaking to a colleague, rather than a superior. Frank had never struck Freya as a particularly pleasant looking man-gator-creature. But watching him try his best to charm the strange blue men towering above them was nearly enough to make her bury her head into her wings. Her eyes scanned the whole of the logging camp and once again fell on the metal insect that had fallen before, and the others still berating it. Jaws slightly agape, she let loose a sound similar to the one she'd used to confuse the spider from before, but at a lower frequency - low enough that the humanoid creatures wouldn't notice, but high enough that, if nothing else, it would bother them. CWa|EBZR3d6 Focus Roll to try and scare off the bugs. About as subtle as a thunderstorm, she covered her mouth afterward and sighed, like she'd just sneezed on all the bugs. "Excuse me. Allergies, perhaps. We've been journeying so far that I fear I might of fallen ill." 3d6

Freya - You can see a couple of the insects in the back shudder a little, but look from the big rock thing ends that quickly.
Frank - The golem looks confused at your remark about 'happy face', as it only has two static eyes as any sort of non-body expression. When you ask for directions it literally points in the direction you came from.

"Now, friend," Frank's voice drops an octave and becomes much more grave, as he speaks quietly this next bit to the golem he is standing closest to, "there are all sorts of benefits to being charitable to traveling people. Sometimes, there might be rewards in the future, should we cross paths again. Sometimes, certain people might not take too kindly to slavery rings, and if you upset them, they might cause you trouble. You understand me, don't you, friend?" Frank lays a heavy paw on the smaller creature. "Be a good little underling and deliver the message to your boss over there. I'm sure he'll be agreeable. You help us out, and we'll be on our way, back the way we came."DH_idP5J4d6 Intimidate! 4d6

As Hura burbles on again, Midna eyes their pair of representatives. "I've not been making any decisions for her. You just seem to be better at talking than listening," she replies offhandedly before pressing on to the matter of direction, "Where we head depends on how friendly that group are. If they want to play nice, maybe we can get a grasp on where we are. Or they might try and ambush us later... Otherwise I guess we head back towards the mountain. We've wasted enough time without having to fight more bugs."

The golem thing stares at Frank for a LOOOOOOONG time, unmoving. He then finally turns to the other golems surrounding the ants, and waves them over. Two of the other smaller ones begin banging their fist together, seemingly happy to beat the crap out of something.
(Combat is 'about' to start, so if Frank/Freya have a last ditch idea, feel free. Otherwise I'll be starting combat)

. "You bugs! Metal ceeatures! What have you!" Freya began to flap her wings and oriented towards the nearest golem. "I don't know what these creatures are or why they've got you under their thumbs, but if you care about freedom, here's your opening!"
She screeched a loud, piercing noise right into the nearest Golem's turned head.

Frank also takes his moment to strike, right as the creature turns away. Frank bites down on the creature's neck and yanks, ripping organic and synthetic material alike in his ferocious maw. The creature moves far more sluggishly after the assault. "Well, even a fool can see what's about to happen here. As my friend said, if you value your freedom, take up arms now!"

Chell huffs in annoyance as Frank and Freya start negotiating with the bloody robots, and she groans as it seems said 'negotiations' had obviously gone wrong and the two had gotten into a fight. "Why all this effort for some bloody single minded robots? What's the point?" she thinks exesperated (and loudly) as she begins moving in their direction, prepared to help out their companions regardless of the futility of their previous actions.

It was true, all too true that Hura was not the best of listeners. Even as the cat answered his own question, Hura found his attention wandering off, toward something more interesting. When it rested on the negotiations between the other half of their party, and the exciting breakdown of those negotiations... the bunny had already started over. Following after her, he said, "Hya-ha, it looks like they need us. We should join them, wouldn't be fair to let them hog all the fun!"

As Midna had feared, the other group was hostile. And rather than backing off, the pair of diplomats had attacked! And then the two that had stayed with her had gone off to help them! Why can't anyone listen to me. She couldn't just leave them be; her new companions probably wouldn't appreciate that. She reluctantly follows after the rabbit and the bug...but perhaps just a tad slower. She doesn't want to get punched in the face after all!

"I'm starting to think we're the only monsters with a mind of our own, here." Freya sighed, eyeing the Durant still milling around. She whipped up a gust of wind to assault the golem nearest them. ozQykpW91d6 +19 Struggle Attack, Flying Special. 1d6 +19

Frank lashes out for another bite on the creature's neck, before backing away from the approaching Golett's, reconvening with his allies before taking on the next two, unwilling to take the assaults alone. He fails to connect, and takes his frustrations out on the passive ants. Frank - Everything you said before and now 'is' heard by the ants. You can clearly see that. But you can't quite put your finger on why they aren't fighting back when they have this chance. Not without a closer (Perception for Frank) look, anyway. Frank's attack misses, but Freya's doesn't. The one golem is brought low, and strikes back vs the aerial one! The other two who had just arrived see Frank and Freya nearly take down their friend with one attack each, and shore up their defenses. Chell jumps up and over the golems, landing behind the one that had attacked Freya. Turning around, she... saw something. Suddenly, the golem's form, which had been somewhat... muddled to her, became clearer, more pronounced and... real, and she knew, instinctively just where to hit to damage it. Using the momentum from her jump and turn, she swirls around and delivers a kick to the robot's form, intent on knocking it out. Chell uses Splash as a Shift action, Jumping over and right behind the first Golett. For 1 Full turn, Chell's Evasion is increased by 2. Chell uses Foresight to use Pound on the Golett. Entirely willing to let the rabbit, posing as some sort of brave action hare-o, take the brunt of the blows over his own quite injured self, he stands to her side and glares down both of the incoming golems, somehow assured that this was an effective a tactic as continuing his biting. ;Midna! Would you circle around and free those ants?! I know they can hear me; I think they must have some sort of physical restraint on. Just mind the big one!; He first tries to 'think' this to her, not knowing how her telepathy ability works. If she doesn't respond, he repeats himself out loud. wJ2WdDmad20 Leer!
