With the big one downed, and the smaller two running, Hura first considered chasing down the light snacks... But gave up upon realizing they could climb well. No way he'd catch them. Which left watching Mr. Croc deal with his prize. Even Hura knew better than to get between a vicious predator and their meal. Unless one could take the predator, anyways.
Frank's bite caught the creature square in the center, as he bit down hard and shook his head violently. Her head, lower half of her thorax, a few legs, and miscellaneous viscera went flying wildly. After chowing down on his huge meal, Frank swallows, wipes his mouth with a clawed hand, and says "Well, that was a harrowing experience. I hope everyone is ok."
Midna is braced for the spider's final blow but it doesn't land. Instead, it skitters off. She hesitates for just a moment, a moment in which Freya is able to startle her by landing nearby. There was no way she was going to admit how hurt she was at the moment. "I'm fine but it would have been nice of someone had watched our backs. And since Chell hasn't fallen from the 'plane', I'd guess she's fine too." Not the most diplomatic of answers but Midna is actually hurting a bit much to play nice.
She stumbles after the fleeing spider but doesn't get very far. Maybe it'll work from a bit further away. She stretches her tiny paw out and tries to slam the spooked spider into the ground.
The momma is ripped to shreds in a brutal display of gore, Chell manages to kick her green one out of the tree, which falls to the ground with a satisfying splat (To Chell, anyway). Midna manages to tap into her new bodies powers and flings her spider into a nearby tree, knocking it out cold.

After knocking down the spider, Chell grins and backflips onto the forest floor, holding up a thumb to Freya to indicate she's okay, though her other hand is now covering the wound the spider inflicted on her. After this, she quickly jumps back up to the plane, intent on getting out the medical supplies and seeing what was in them.
A satisfied smirk lingers on Midna's face. That was one spider that would learn not to mess with her. With another spider splatting from the tree, she can only assume that Chell was at least still hopping. Oh, right. She was still hurting. The momentary elation she felt subsides, leaving her aching. "Maybe, Maybe you should check on Che~Gah!" She says haltingly to Freya, before the bunny in question demonstrates her relative unharm by bouncing down beside them. "Don't do that! How'm I supposed to know you aren't another spider." She leaves Chell wanting for a reply though. For the moment she can let the rabbit stew.
She finally looks to what was so important to keep the others from aiding her. The gory sight isn't anything new to her but it did make Frank look more formidable. His bite was worse than she had initially thought. Or maybe he was lucky? "What happened to you all? Do those spiders explode or something?" She glances nervously at the two remaining bugs.
More focused on watching the grisly proceedings, Hura diverts his attention only momentarily to watch their cat shriek. Who would have thought she's scared of bugs! After that, he dismissed it as 'maybe fun, later' and went back to enjoying the show.
When asked if they tended to explode, though, he answers, "Nyaha! It almost looks like, no? Why, one moment that spider was minding its own business, trying to eat dear... Frank! And the next, the tables have turned, and the mighty hunter, so sure of its victory became dinner!" A 'pause' that consisted mostly of giggling at the sequence of events, and then a humourless, "No, it might not have been the sturdiest bug, but we aren't known for exploding quite so easily." And back to his earlier enthusiasm, "So I guess that means he's just that strong, ha ha!"
Huh, what the hell are these? Those are two packages of bandages, that's for sure, but there's little spray bottles. Two purple and one yellow. What are cleaning products supposed to do? Checking them closer, you see they are labeled as 'Potion' and the one yellow one is 'Antidote'. Each one has little instructions. The Potion is meant to shore up wounds and light damage, while Antidote cures Poison.
Wait... what. Just 'poison'? Like any poison in the world? What sort of dollar store nonsense did this probably dead pilot buy?
"I must say, having a large spider crawling on you is a bit unnerving. I did what this body seems built to do, and dealt with the threat. And in the process, I apparently dealt with this body's hunger as well. And that seems to be the rub, isn't it? This isn't a game. This IS my body. We have to figure out how and why we're here, and I have a feeling, if the clouds are any indication, our answers will be on that mountain. It seems Chell has found some supplies. Let's keep moving."
Frank turns to leave, rubbing his arm where the spider pounced.

Chell frowns a bit at the contents of the supply kit, confused by the sheer... strangeness of it. These bandages seem normal enough, but... what's up with these bottles? Quick acting healing ... stuff, maybe? But... Poisons? What kind of poisons? Cyanide? Arsenic? Poison Ivy? An overdose of water? Bristling in annoyance, she nevertheless picks up the bottles, as well as the bandages, which she briefly considers using, before shaking her head and squeezing her wound tighter. Good thing I've always been a... She softly grunts in pain as she forces the wound closed healer... She releases the wound, which is already mostly closed up, if a bit tender. Thinking for a moment, she tries to see if she can get the box out of the plane as well, It'd be a lot easier than carrying around loose bottles... and if so, if there is anything around that she could use to make a makeshift carrying strap out of.
Now that the mighty hunter had finished his meal, Hura looked to see if anything remained for the snacking. Perhaps a crunchy leg, it had plenty of those...
Whether the search for a meal was successful or not, he agreed, "Yup, those mountains look like the place to be! Let's go~!" and proceeded in that general direction. Not too far ahead of the group, if they decided to wait up for the bunny.
Hura's explanation certainly explained the mess. This left Midna to briefly consider if his new form could explode as well. But it did seem, unlikely that whoever put them her would give them an easy way to off themselves so easily. Still, best if she didn't spook the hyperactive bug. She gives him a small nod of understanding, even if she was a bit confused by his babbling.
"Well of course it's your body, err, your new body? That's typically how curses work." Midna explains patiently to the shell-shocked Frank. She continues with a small tease, "Best keep this body kept up. Who knows what harm could be had if we can change back. To the mountains then."
Turning her nose up at scavenging the arachnidal remnants, Midna waits for Chell to emerge from the 'plane'. She'd find something on her own later with less legs to chew on. Plus being patient means she can take a short sit to let her legs rest and her head stop spinning. Stupid stinging spiders.
Frank turns back to Midna and begins to walk backwards as he talks to her, but promptly trips over his new tail and falls to the ground in a clumsy thud. Picking himself back up as though it didn't happen, he continues in a stilted, contemplative tone,
"Right, but you have to understand. In my world, there are no curses. No magic. No supernatural shenanigans of any kind. Just a slew of people who delude themselves into wasting a fine Sunday morning they could be spending doing pretty much anything else. So you can imagine my shock to find myself in this predicament. Besides, I am a important political figure in my world. THE most important political figure. I can't be gone, or else my second in command will cause all sorts of problems. Whatever is on that mountain had best get us out of whatever 'this'(he gestures all around) is."

Chell smiles as she comes across a bag that probably used to contain a parachute, judging by the number of clasps and straps on it. Doesn't seem like it did whoever flying this thing too much good... then again, there is no actual parachute here, so maybe it did... Shrugging at the thought, she places the medical supplies into the backpack, before slinging it over her shoulder... and just barely catching it before it tumbles to the ground. Small rabbit, large backpack. Great. Chell huffs in frustration as she begins adjusting th straps to account for her smal bunny frame.
Once she has finished making the bag rabbit-friendly, she slings it on her shoulders before jumping down to join the others. "I found some medicine and bandages. Not too much, but it should help at least."
(Feel free to continue any conversation you were doing, and then when you are all ready, regard the following post)
Gathering up your supplies and your blood from the floor (For some of you, at least) and begin to head north. A couple of silent hours pass. There's an occasional sound of something way off in the distance brush, but nothing anywhere near your group. You count yourselves lucky. Or you hope it's luck/skill that is helping you avoid anything else, and not something more sinister.
Eventually, you see a very bright point up ahead. The oppressive darkness of the canopy above you now looks a lot more dark in comparison. From what you can tell through the trees, it's a big clearing that leads somewhere, and is littered with stumps of cut-down trees.
A spring in their step and a wobble in their gait, Hura almost, almost missed something priceless. Their oh-so-important, utterly composed friend, Frank falling in his own limbs. What sold it for the eternal bug, though was that he continued as though nothing had happened. Heedless of any cargo he was hauling around, Hura falls to the ground himself, cackling.
After about a minute of unchecked laughter, Hura picked himself back up, and (after getting ahead of the group again if needed) very deliberately began walking backwards, too. If only to draw attention, he comments, "Oh, I grew up around all sorts of delightful curses and transce-... err, magic. So many fun ways to crush your enemies, ha! Or burn them, or launch them into space... But, having your body changed like this is new. Seems like a really roundabout way of dealing with your problems though, if you ask me!"
Well it looked like the rabbit had found something. Midna could forgive her earlier spook since Chell now looked like a tiny peddler. Although she had medicine rather than masks. "Medicine? That should be useful if we get ambushed again. Or it might just live in that bag forever." With the bunny returned she is prepared to toddle along.
Midna chuckles at the cross-footed crocodile's crash. Of course, she doesn't go on grossly. She still manages to hear most of his tale. She's too distracted by Hura's interjection to properly respond. "That sounds pretty boring. The world I mean. I don't know how you all would get anything done." She pauses to think and comes back with a more sympathetic tone, "I know what you're saying about someone else trying to take your crown. I-" Midna pauses not quite sure if she should share a further tidbit. "It might be they changed us to get out of the way. Might be they could have a use for us later...."
"Now there is an interesting notion. Are all of you important political figures where you come from as well? How about you, Chell? Or you, Freya?"
He stops suddenly as the scenery abruptly changes. "I wonder what we have here?"

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.
Dec 2, 2019 19:05:30 GMT
but how else do i find games then?

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
