Frank gazes at the plane stuck up in the tree, and seems lost in thought. "I-i-i'm just going to stay down here. Don't want to disturb your work." He leans against a tree for support, a short distance away from the wreckage.

A big red... something wasn't of any concern to Hura. While he might have heard about strange devices humans used to fly, they were far enough beneath him, and he had been isolated enough, and simply didn't care about their abilities, that Hura didn't know about these airplanes. Or what they were for. Or, why humans would need one to fly, if they were just going to crash. None of this actually entered his head, though.
Not bothering to watch the others examine the wreckage, and hardly one to offer support, Hura props himself against a tree in imitation of their crocodilian friend, Frank. "Wow, that's a pretty wrecked... thingy, eh? I bet it didn't even have a chance when it tangled with those trees! Hmm... Although, now I can't help but wonder where the inhabitants went off to..." It didn't really look like a house, and Hura wasn't sure how something (except a rotten bird) was supposed to live in it... But someone had to put it there, and if they weren't inside it, it made one wonder where the owner was... And also what other tools they had.

"I'm not normally this small!" Midna snaps back. "Humans just have weird housing choices." Did she really have to get stuck in a small body again? She huffs before Chell catches her eye again. Midna takes a second look at the downed plane. She is a bit incredulous, "Are you sure that thing could ever even get off the ground? It looks pretty heavy" Hura did bring up another good point. Where could the airplaners have gotten to? She wasn't really sure what to look for. Besides, the rabbit had already hopped up in the tree. Midna stomps off to do her own search on the ground. Even if it looked to have been here for a long time, She might get lucky. Ground Perception! Xrd8BSjn2d6

Chell - You jump up to a nearby branch and take a look inside. It doesn't take a tech wizard to know this thing is toast. You'd surmise that if this was airborne anywhere near the ion-fueled clouds surrounding this island, it was probably pretty screwed. Without a ton of knowledge of planes, you can't really tell how old the plane is. Look-wise from the growth around it, maybe only a few years of sitting here stuck in the trees, but you can't pinpoint the time period. At least not without a closer look inside. Speaking of which, you see a perfectly intact red box inside with a white cross. Before you even think of hopping closer, and perhaps a few seconds too late, you notice the spider webbing only now visable above the plane. And hear the chittering of something big moving toward you. Surprise round! Spinarak uses Poison Sting vs Chell! AC 2 Poison Physical (Poisons on 17+) qRnAVBiO1d20 1d8+17
A giant (For spiders) green spider is up on a branch right above you and had fired off a stinger looking to be dripped with poison! Midna - You find dirt! And lots of it! As you realize Link is the one who did most of this looking and adventuring stuff FOR you, you hear something land behind you, and feel something fired at your back! Surprise round! Spinarak uses Poison Sting vs Midna! AC 2 Poison Physical (Poisons on 17+) 1d20 1d8+17
Turning around you see what almost reminds you of a Skulltula, but green and... cute? Well not so to you considering it just assaulted you. Rest of the party- Chell jumped up on a branch to inspect, with Midna looking off to the side staring at some dirt. The rest of you are sitting there waiting for the others to come up with something when a large red spider lands in front of you, dividing the party up! A similar green spider is assaulting Chell already up in the tree, while another one lands right behind Midna, and attacks her as well! The large red spider stares you down. Combat has begun! Init thread has been updated to reflect it. But for Referrence:
Chell - 15 Freya - 12 Frank - 10 Hura - 9 Midna - 5 Ariados - 4 Spinarak(2) - 3
Currently Frank, Hura, and Freya are grouped up staring down the Ariados. Off to the right of the plane on the ground is Midna fighting a lone Spinarak, while up in the tree in front of/leftish of the plane is another Spinarak fighting Chell on a branch.
Chell/Midna would provoke an attack of opportunity from the Spinarak if they want to run unless they disengage first.
Frank/Freya/Hura would need to use two shift actions to safely make their way around the Ariados to make it to the aid of one of their party, or one shift action but that requires going right past the Ariados, provoking an attack of opportunity. This is to get within melee range though. Those with range 4 or more can take one safe shift and blast either.
Going to Chell (for melee) would also require another shift to make it up to the combat. 1d20·1d8+17·1d20·1d8+17

Chell had been examining the remains of the airplane and had just noticed the box with (hopefully) medical supplies in it, when she spots cobwebs from the corner of her eye. That's odd, we're out in the open, why would it be thi- What was that sound? Looking up from where the sound had come, she quickly spots the massive spider shooting what appears to be a poisonous dart at her. What the hell!? She glares up at the spider, pissed off, if not necessarily hurt much, before instincts take over and she jumps up so she's at the same height as it, delivering a swift kick with her powerful legs, finishing up by landing gracefully back on the branch. That was new... But I kinda like it. Finally a way to really fight back! She chances a quickly look down to where the others were, and sees they appear to be in trouble as well. Not at all concerned about the isolated members of their little party, or even that the biggest one was staring at them, Hura swaggers over to the giant spider, and whimsically declares, "Oh-hoh? I've eaten grubs like you as a midday snack, spider! And I'm feeling a little hungry now..." as he eyes his potential meal. He... wasn't sure how effectively this body could eat its prey, though. The mouth-bit was pretty small. But, he could worry about that later. " Maybe if I just ate the tiny ones...?" Hura shifts to "just outside melee range of Ariados" and uses Leer. So there are monsters that are just that here, Freya frowned, taking stock of the whole situation. The rabbit was fine, it would appear. As small and delicate looking as she was she seemed to have no trouble harming her spider. The insect, on the other hand... well. What else would he do? And what else could she do? Inspiration - or maybe it was instinct - struck when she realized that as she took to the air, she could easily be her own brand of annoying, screeching a loud, ear splitting sound in the red spider's direction. Freya shifts into the air 3 meters and uses Supersonic. AC6 oc0LJN1r1-20 Confuses on hit. -2 to Accuracy Rolls for one full round on miss. 1-20

Frank weighs his options for a split second. He had intended on weakening the foe with a look in a manner similar to Hura, but given that it already had been done, he instead opts to charge the large spider and try to take a giant bite from its flank! In doing so, he lorded his body wait over the creature, intimidating it with his size. 3CfdLCd61d20 Bite! 2d8+23 Frank uses Initimidate as a Swift Action. -1 Atk 1d20·2d8+23

Midna's quest to find anything useful is met with failure. Even though he had been annoying at times, Link had been an excellent finder. She kicks at some of the dirt before hearing the soft *plop* of something landing behind her. What is th~ "OW!"She spins around to come face to face with the Skulltula look-a-like. "Why you little!" She snarls as her back continues to throb. But without the helm there isn't a whole lot that she can do. Well these claws might be sharp. As barbarous as it is, Midna lashes out at the almost cute spider. Scratch q7E7gZr|1d20 vs 2 1d8+11 Normal Physical 1d20·1d8+11

The screeching seems to affect the Ariados's senses, and it looks a tad loopy. It seems to shake it off for the moment, and with one in the air and the other not posing a thread, it leaps onto Frank, hoping to pin the dangerous one to the ground! Mildly annoyed that it hadn't cared for his taunt, and seriously considering making good on the threat, Hura stared at the spider that rushed by. But before they had a chance to make of with the spoils, it would be important to beat this feisty one into submission. And, well, he kind of wanted to do that anyways... Momentarily dismayed by his lack of useful limbs ( how long has it been since I was helpless as a lowly grub? Oh, what tragedy~), Hura elects to try biting at their opponent. Not to eat him, yet, but because that seemed like the only useful means of attacking the impudent beast. With that decided, Hura 'leaped' at his foe, intent on nomming at it as punishment for slighting him so! Hura uses Peck on the Ariados! Not bothering with more overt attacks - some part of her told her she was adept at the technique of tackling things, even if the conscious part knew that doing so was pretty pointless on a spider thrice her size - Freya targeted one of its legs instead, clawing and biting at it hard enough that it might loosen its grip some. As she did, her ears twitched... with the sound of its heartbeat? She'd seen magic designed to scan a monster and present valuable information about it, but as she clung to the spider's legs, the sonar built into many bat's bodies seemed to be doing something similar - every time its heartbeat, she could see it and even glimpses of the rest of its anatomy in greater detail than she'd ever cared to see of a massive bug trying its damnedest to strangle a crocodile to death. Freya flies to be adjacent to the Ariados and uses Frisk: the target reveals its type, nature, level, and any held items it's holding, and makes a hinder attempt.

The small spider hardly seemed phased by Midna's clawing. And it's second sting leaves spots spinning before her eyes. This isn't going well. Why were these stupid spiders attacking? There isn't a clear answer to her question and with her strength fading it might be up to the others to do something about it. Midna struggles to stay focused but her wounds are throbbing. If only...my helm. She totters a bit but desperately shoves at the spider. Though something about it feels odd. It almost felt like there was more force behind the blow, and she has an odd feeling that she's responsible. Struggle 1HOf9xEZ1d20 vs 4 1d8+16 Normal Special Damage 1d20·1d8+16

The green ones get beaten up, but not out. However, the red one gets battered into unconsciousness on top of Frank. It lies still, not moving.
The green ones seeing their apparent momma get defeated, try to book it!
(They both disengage out of melee, then Chell's threads 4m up the tree, while Midna's begins running 4 away)
