Bowser has, apparently, gotten bored of watching the bottom of the pit, once he figured out that Mrs. Norris disappeared into the the earth and Ghost is soul-searching or something, which is even more boring to watch than a hole in the ground.
Speaking of earth, that's the topic he and Ryota have turned to in the meantime. Bowser apparently doesn't have much trouble suspending disbelief while talking to a fish a fraction of his size, but he IS used to giving orders to everything from ghosts to giant squid to walking bombs. There's Cheep Cheeps too, but they kinda do their own thing.
He continues said conversation with Ryota as Ghost comes within earshot, popping up through the ground. "So like, we both come from Earth... But your Earth and my Earth are different. Is that it? Mine has Piranha Plants and yours has piranhas and venus fly traps." Bowser scratches his skull, not far from his eye. "Your portal took you from your Earth and mine from my Earth... So, which Earth does that make this? Have you seen any familiar animals from your Earth around here? Cuz I haven't from mine. Just the same kinda trees I guess."
Bowser overhears Ghost pipe up, but doesn't look away from his conversation when he replies. "Yeah, no kidding."
He turns around abruptly, if mighty belatedly, his stance wide as if taken by ambush. "SPARKY where did you come from!!" Well, that confirms the invisibility power. She'd probably overheard all that Earth stuff, and could add her thoughts if she feels like it.
"Well, maybe they just have the same name," suggests Ryota. "And well...that bird looked kind of like a vulture, which I know about. But she was wearing bones, which vultures don't usually do." Hey, maybe someone out there owns a pet vulture they like to dress up. "And the water here feels a bit odd as well. The currents don't feel familiar to me."
His eyes bug out when Ghost speaks up, his fins flailing for a moment. "Whoa! How did you do that?"
Ghost couldn't even begin to conceal the cheeky grin she had while the big guy registered just who was talking to him. What's more, the way he just jumped out of his skin like he'd been bushwhacked caused her to just buzz with amusement in a rather uncharacteristic way. For her credit, she managed to beat down the playfully snide remark trying to worm its way out of her lips before she stuck her metaphorical foot in it. "Well, you know how I can apparently discharge and absorb electricity?" She started, a light chuckle on her voice. "It seems as though things didn't stray too far from normal when it comes to this form," She said before her form seemed to fade from sight for a few seconds before reappearing without much difficulty. "As for the how, I also managed to feel out how to turn intangible. I basically just climbed my way out through the dirt. Granted, I don't remember phasing coming with such a sting before... or any pain whatsoever in regards to my old life."
She gained a serious expression after getting that explanation out of the way though, quickly shifting her position so she'd be floating in front of them. "Also, did I hear you right? Piranha plants? That's definitely not something native to my Earth either... and if I recall correctly, the Venus Flytrap has been extinct for a few decades, and save for a few nature preserves and the odd rural area, most everything's futuristic... at least, compared to my early memories. Although I'll admit, those are a tad fragmented since I woke up from my long nap a few years back."
"Although I'll tell you this much, you're definitely not from my world Big-Boss. I'm pretty sure I'd remember there being giant talking tortoises back home."

"Yeah, and to me, it looked like a Klepto or a Buzzar. But not the same. So... What's all this mean? I mean we gotta be in SOMEbody's world, right? You think we're in Miss Paperweight's world?"
Now for Ghost.
"Huh." Bowser's claws consult his chin, his posture relaxing and his ears tuning in to what the Rotom's putting down. He watches with surprise when her form fades out and into view. "So when you said your name's Ghost, that wasn't just a name huh? You can turn invisible and go through stuff. Like a Boo does, back on my turf." Evidently believing in ghosts isn't an issue where he comes from.
His claw flicks off of his chin and in her direction. "And you had ghost powers before you got portaled and stuck in a lightbulb body, too?" he asks. "What were you exactly? Some kinda phantom?"
The Blastoise balls his claws into fists and sets them on his hips. "Alright, hold it. For one thing, neither of you have ever heard of the Koopa King's greatness, which is just. Wrong. For another thing, where the heck are we? I mean it sounds like we're on a whole 'nother planet than the one I know. And if it's not your world -- and it's not your world --" He looks at each of them in turn -- "Then who the heck's world we in?" His face begins to shift, a growing scowl of frustration. "And whose big idea was it kidnapping Peach and the Koopa King! That's a death wish if I ever heard one!" Uh oh, here comes the fury.
A somewhat subdued look came over her face at the Koopa King's question, a truly conflicted feeling welling up within her chest as she thought about how best to answer that question. She'd only just met these guys, and to be honest the revelation of what she really was still weighed heavily on her soul. "... It's a really long story, and a personal one. However up until recently, I was a completely imperceptible phantom jumping from one robotic shell to another. Robotic possession was pretty much my only way of interacting with the world."
Ghost didn't react much to the anger, but a more serious look did cross her face. If she had anything to say about it, the lot of them were gonna capture whoever ripped them all away from their lives and beat the stuffing out of them. All four of them.
"Oh yeah, Norris! Norris, sorry for not letting you know but I managed to get back up!" She called down the hole, rushing back to the edge of the pit. "Don't worry, I'll get you out of there as quick as I can!"
Ryota stares at Ghost. "Extinct?" he exclaims. "How far in the future are you from? Was it big corporations polluting the land and water?" He wriggles angrily. "I won't let that happen! I might not have that much power on my own, but my Celestia is going to change things! She'll be President someday!" His eyes get a dreamy look for a moment, before he refocuses himself to continue to listen to Ghost.
"You...you must have been pretty lonely, then," he says, much more softly.
Gave Ryota an embarrassed grin at the question of how it happened, pretty much confirming that yeah, that was pretty much the case. However her attention was more on Mrs. Norris to respond to his second question. She might've seemed like she didn't hear him... but maybe she honestly just didn't want to think about it. Speaking of which...
It seemed as though Mrs. Norris was still rather busy with her digging. Ghost would've waited for her, but judging by the big guy's emotions... well, she wasn't sure her preferred route of handling this situation would sit well with him. Well... that was easily handled. "Looks like our friend'll be a little bit longer than I was getting out. If you two want, I can stay behind and hold down the fort while you two go scouting. Maybe see if you can't find something to eat yourselves." She suggested.
After those two headed off, she'd jump back down into the pit and help Mrs. Norris with her digging. She'd have to keep busy somehow after all.
*After her nap, Norris emerges from her burrow covered in dirt and her big eyes covered in crystalline sleep. Her stride is unsteady as she makes her way to the surface to wallow a while in the grass, taking the opportunity to clean herself off with her tongue. As she rolls onto her back to rub her rearmost plates against the ground, she stretches in an adorable manner. It is not long before she shakes herself off and approaches the group with an expectant gaze*
As Mrs Norris is finally making it out with Ghost in tow, a noise from the nearby forest distracts Ryota and when he looks back to confer with his other topside mate, there's a big blue turtle missing! As the cat and spirit emerge, they see only Ryota.
As Ghost made it out of the tunnel leading to the surface her mind was hopeful that the group could get started on making progress towards figuring out what was going on. Seeing as after her silver friend had decided to start up work on yet another tunnel though, their journey onward was cut short... and while frustrating, Ghost was able to at least keep calm while waiting on Norris's nap. Poor thing must've been pretty tired...
"Alright, let's get going you guys--" She started, only to trail off awkwardly at the fact a rather noticable member of their traveling group was missing. "... What the heck?" She asked, before a note of panic crept in to her voice. "Ryota, what happened to Bowser!?" She asked, legitimately spooked at the idea of someone so big just vanishing like that!
Bowser doesn't seem that eager to explore, so Ryota just sticks next to him while Norris takes a nap. However, before he can greet them when they emerge, there's a sound from the side. Before he can ask Bowser about it, Bowser is gone and the others are asking him about it while freaking out. Ryota is freaking out as well. Surely Bowser couldn't have vanished that fast!
"I don't know!" he exclaims. "I just looked aside for a moment and then he was gone! How could that have happened?" He flails his fins around. "What are we going to tell his girlfriend?"
A determined glint crosses over her eyes as she nods at that, quickly deciding on a course of action. "I don't know, but he couldn't have gone far. Give me one moment, I'll see if I can see something from the sky," She says before quickly floating upward. Quickly finding the lowest hanging branch she could, she used it to help ground her assent, quickly allowing her to scale her way up to high above the tree tops, before quickly turning about, trying to see if she could spot something - anything - that could explain what was happening.
Ghost doesn't find anything that wasn't seen from the sky, but Mrs Norris smells something next to Ryota as she paws the fish. There's a weird smoke smell that's familiar to her. She thinks for a moment before making the connections. She smelled it as she was pulled into that hole in the air that brought her here. As she woke on the cliff, her nose was filled with it still.
Raised her eyebrow at Norris's statement, her form quickly falling to the ground before she brought herself alongside the silver beetle-cat. "Gone back home...? What do you mean by that?" She asked, a little incredulous. Seeing as she couldn't really smell anything at the time of her abduction, the scent was particularly alien to her.
"How can you tell that?" asks Ryota. It does make some sense if they were apparently dragged here by some strange force, a similar force could send them home, but at the same time it feels odd that Bowser was apparently the only one chosen.
Well, so far Norris's nose hadn't been wrong, and despite the simple way she spoke Ghost had to assume that the aron had some reason for thinking as much. At the same time though, this honestly seemed... strange. Almost spooky in a sense. "If whatever took the big guy just now though was also what brought us here, then I think it's a safe bet to assume it wasn't just random chance we landed ourselves around here," Ghost said, rounding on her two teammates as she floated up a couple of feet. "He might be back home, or for all we know he could be somewhere worse. If neither of you have any objections, I think we should continue towards the center of the island. It might be a long shot, but maybe we'll find some clue as to what brought us here on the way," She said, glancing between her teammates.
Norris stretch wayyyyyy out prancin dancin out the ol' limbs.
Norris about to walk into forest but... remember fish.
Norris looks up at ghost confuzzedly, looking back down to the fish and squinting.

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
