When their new teammate enters the base, Silas greets him with a smile and wave. "Hi Austin. Good to have you join us, despite the circumstances. Hopefully, you made it here without too much trouble?"
After he replies, Silas jumps straight to business. They lost some time taking care of Leslie, and Austin doesn't seem like one for idle talking.
"Alright. I assume you heard the general mission goals back at HQ, so I'll catch you up on what we've got. We know a suspected fighter is going to show up is going to a nearby clinic tomorrow. We were discussing how to gather information tonight before we take more direct action."

Austin's only response is a bit of a shrug, before he comes inside and closes the door. As Silas talks, he rummages through his bag, pulling out a datapad, which he begins to type on.
Omega isn't quite as silent, piping up, "Yes, assuming they actually gave him everything I transferred, Technician Valadian as been briefed on the situation. However-" He's interrupted by - similar, though not identical - tones coming from Austin's datapad. "I'm hoping that you're not expecting me to conduct an interrogation." The synthesized voice is flat (unlike Omega's), but there's the barest hint of a wry smile on Austin's face.

Silas grins in response. "No, we can handle that. And personally, I like to get information voluntarily."
Silas pauses for a moment, then continues. "On a different note, we had been planning to pose as a prospective fighter and their support team. None of us do melee combat, so can we leave that to you?"

Pleased that, of all their potential supports, Valadian was selected, Thoron had been content to let Silas handle the introduction and debriefing. Hopefully he remained as strong a fighter without his armor, though... That would draw attention.
"It would be a mismanagement of resources to have any one of us cover too much. Subduing the target should be plenty for one person, Valadian. Whoever takes over from there remains to be seen, but the first will have done their part." He added, not entirely sure what all the smiles were for. "On that note, will you require any supplies, before we begin?"

In response to Silas, he pulls a cylinder of metal out of his bag, and seems to concentrate. A thrumming fills the air as a pillar of energy forms above it, which you recognize from the prior battle. The other Technician grins. "I think I can handle that." There's a pause, as he continues typing. "Although, if we're being discreet, I probably don't want to use that. The Psionic Blade isn't exactly typical ruffian fare. There are probably a few that have made their way around, but it would still draw quite a bit of attention. I can manage without it, however."

"Awww...I wanted them to send Rose..." Soleil grumbled when they opened the door and revealed one of the male teammates. Now she was the only girl in a group of men. She eyed the group suspiciously for a moment before stepping off to the side while people talked.
"So...its a stabby version of what my rifle shoots?" Soleil asked getting to examine the weapon up close.

Silas looks at the blade a bit more intently when Austin labels it as 'Psionic'. Based on their reactions, the others can see it too, and it doesn't look like Psychic activity. However, the incident with Requiem 2.0 showed that there are limitations to what he can see. He'll have to see if he can check out a similar blade from the quartermaster after the mission.
"Yeah, you don't want to be using that in a bar brawl. There shouldn't be a problem with using it in the arena; it's obvious we aren't average Prometheans."
After a moment of silence, Silas addresses the group. "For now, we just need to check for good sniping spots and gather information. Shall we head out?"

Ignoring the grumbling about which of the B-Team was sent, and paying the special equipment only as much attention as it warranted (the Databracer was something critical, Valadian's power armor was something that needed attention, this was... a highly effective tool), Thoron was quite keen on seizing the chance Silas provided. "Yes, Soleil is to pick out ideal locations for a... 'Sniper's nest', the rest of us will be focused on picking out likely targets. Hmm... Silas, how rare of a sight is someone like Soleil roaming about unsupervised? Is that likely to draw attention, as Unpromethean?"
They could walk and talk, of course. While most of the alarms Leslie had set before weren't of the sort they could arm on their own, it seemed unlikely their hideout would be targeted now, and not before. So, all that remained was leaving.

Silas looks at Soleil, then thinks for a moment. "On one hand, a young woman alone with a weapon will draw attention just about anywhere. On the other hand, shooting one pursuer in the leg and running away is reasonable here. As long as you avoid permanent damage, there shouldn't be a problem."
It's a more violent that he'd be on his own, but Soleil isn't Silas. She's probably a better fit for Promethean culture than Silas anyway.

"So any ideas where I should go look then? Or just wander around till I see something?" Soleil asked as she picked her bag back up since it seemed it was time to go. "And just to clarify so nobody tattles I have permission to disable someone if threatened as long as 'no permanent damage'?"

Austin seems to have been typing and deleting a reply to Soleil for quite some time, before eventually responding to her question about his weapon. "No. It is nothing like your rifle." His face is stuck in a neutral expression, but you get the feeling that it's probably not conveying his exact feelings.
"Please attempt to avoid using force if possible, Technician." Omega says, "But, yes, if required you are permitted to use force. Do your best to avoid using it unless it, or the threat of it, is used against you, though."

"It would be best if we traveled as a group, or at least kept the ability to maintain contact. Including with Valadian. I find it unlikely anyone would attack you in the company of three others, though, especially unprovoked." Thoron answered. Passive deterrence was part of 'their best', no?
Which left the much more important question. "As for where we investigate first, perhaps one of the more popular social gathering points for the average Promethean? Surely there would be one or two suitable bars for someone who frequents death-matches for their pleasure, and working backwards from such a rowdy place could be effective. If nothing else, we should find a suitable target there... Omega, can you bring up the most popular ones in the area?" If that criteria didn't work, they would merely have to look for a suspicious-looking bar... Suspicious relative to the rest of the District, that was.

"They don't exactly publish guest count, but... I believe I might be able to extrapolate somewhere along those lines."
It takes a few minutes, but, eventually Omega locates a presumably suitable location, and you all set off. When you eventually reach your destination, it doesn't look like much from the outside. The only real indication that anything's there is the neon sign flashing "Burning 61" in red. At least until you head inside, where there's a hustle and bustle.
The lighting is subdued, yet strong, but the energy - and ambient heat - in the room more than makes up for it. Clumped around tables throughout the space, and sitting at the bar, are many Promethians, chatting noisily. There isn't that much of a presence of food, but things beyond slop would likely be extravagantly expensive for the people down here. Not to mention, they seem to be easily compensating with the number of drinks.
It seems as if every aspect of life in the district is probably represented here. You can see many people still wearing the jackets that indicate that they're employed by the city to help transport goods from the Warehouse to elsewhere in the district. Off in the corner, there are some people who look a little more well off, with their attire being that more representative of several upwards - still not the Over, though. At the bar, it's even more of a jumble, with people of all ages - and various stages of shabbiness - conversing with one another. Though, clearly not everyone's here to socialize. Several people, such as the man at the end of the bar who seems to be missing an arm, are just nursing drinks, probably trying to drown memories.

Along the way, Soleil had looked over the distract, taking pictures to give her an idea of the layout and do an initial scouting for ideal sniper spots, ambush points and more. As they had gotten closer, she had started filing her pictures into their folders and as such didn't pay much attention as they walked in. The gathering plan and target hunting could be handled by them unless they asked for her help. Her job was to find an ideal spot and she needed to focus on her pictures for that. Perception check for while we walk through district to notice good spots for ambushing, good points she can use for sniping (primary: ones she can climb to. secondary: ones she can fly to): Result 19
Spending time snapping pictures of district to add to travel archive Promethean District added. Then spending time during walk to also archive it

Silas quickly scans the bar upon entering, tugging down the edges of his hat. When he doesn't see anything that immediately grabs his attention, he defaults to 'expected' behavior, walking up to the bar and ordering a drink. He claims a seat at the edge of the main crowd and tries to strike up a conversation with the bartender. "It's been a while since I've been through here. Anything new happening these days?"
Silas makes no attempt to keep the conversation quiet. Grabbing the attention of an extroverted drunk with a story to tell would make his life easier.

While Silas wanders over to the bar, Soleil just steps off to the side by the door near the entrance. She leaned against the wall and looked over at the crowds content to have a view of the entire room. If Silas, Thoron, or the temporary B-team minion ran into any trouble it would be better for her to be able to see from here and help be able to clear a way for the door.

After a brief survey of the Prometheans gathered in the bar, which was indeed quite populated as promised, Thoron turned to their companion of few words and said, "Unless you had other plans, we should stay together. I highly doubt any drunkard here will spare the time to listen to you. Hmm, in any case, we should start somewhere quiet. Let me know if anyone stands out."
Of course, if Austin did have other plans, that was fine, they would cover more ground. But in the meantime, he and Austin would meet with the melancholic man at the back. Starting with taking seats, and gauging his reaction.

Silas
The bartender looks up from the glass he's wiping down to see who's addressing him. "You must be down on your luck, then, if you've come back here," he says, sardonically. "Depending on when you left... well, Pokémon have been attacking more. So, be careful wandering around the corridors. The Krakens have, supposedly, been pretty good at supressing them, but... there's still a lot more injuries. Good for business, though. Now, can I get you anything? Nothing fancy, here, but if you want something strong, you've got it."
Soleil
So far, there doesn't seem to be any trouble. But, it's early yet...
Thoron
Austin follows you, though, back a little bit, over to the bar, where he takes a seat in a place where he could listen, but not too close. You're able to take a seat next to the one-armed man, since no one seems to want to sit next to him. He glances up briefly as you take your seat, but doesn't say anything, and quickly returns to staring into his drink.

Silas makes a wry grin at the bartender's comment, then orders a relatively weak drink. "I haven't hit that point yet. Work brought me back down here, and I won't be able to leave until it's done." Silas takes a slow sip of his drink when something the bartender said processes. 'Pokemon attack' would be a good way to cover up getting injured in the arena or failure to contain the 'combatants'. He sets down his drink and looks at the other patrons sitting at the bar. Perhaps one of them is recently injured, drinking to take the edge of the pain? Intuition: 15

Rather... Not pleased, but still assured, by Valadian's professionalism, Thoron considered how best to approach this particular target.
Then, putting plan into action, he let out a pronounced Hmm... as he perused the various drinks offered. It wasn't so much that he cared about what to drink (he didn't, not a drop) as to create the appearance of someone having great difficulty selecting an unfamiliar beverage.
It was admittedly highly unlikely that the man beside him would care. Consistency was key, though, and so after a minute and several seconds of browsing the choices, unless his help was freely offered, Thoron said, "Ah, excuse me? I hate to bother you, but you look like you know your drinks. I only came here after a friend said it was a great find, but, well... Any recommendations?"
