I once knew an abra and he would sleep all day~ I once knew a ka-dabra; too high level he would dis-obey~ I once knew an alakaza-am~ how did they teach him to use Role Play?! He became Mega Aka-lazam~ And I still beat him into the ground... .... ??... ... hoo-ray!
As the morning of the third day of guild Odyssey's adventures bloomed, the soft melodic voice of it's resident... secretary... bounced through the halls right by the still sleeping adventurers. As she passed by each door, she slipped a note underneath and continued to sing down the hall. The lyrics are barely audible; they might rouse the lighter sleepers awake. But Sariah's voice quickly fades as she continues to zoom down the hallway quite often passing next to boxes of supplies and decorations that still haven't been unpacked. The note under the door reads: Attention all! Today is an important day for the Odyssey Guild! We've been given down our first two take down requests! Make sure you stretch out well in the morning, then come for breakfast in the main hall. We'll discuss the enemies over my new rawst berry cereal mix! None of you are allergic to moomoo milk right? Be there by 0800! -Sari...AH!

Henry wakes slowly with the song, rousing himself out of bed. He'd stayed up a bit later than desired filling out the paperwork, but he wouldn't let it affect him today. As he checked the note, he grinned. A TAKE DOWN request... And two of them! How interesting. Perhaps this would help him prepare for more of his journey... For now, he simply dressed and made his way to the mess hall.

Falon had once again woken up early to meditate, this time opting to stay in his room. As such, he quickly gets and reads the message. Grinning broadly, he dashes to the mess hall, obviously excited. They were gonna fight some seriously strong monsters today! Awesome!

Nette blinks awake to the faint sound of ... Zzzzzzuhhh... what was that? Well to the faint sound of something. With a yawn she slowly wormed out of the cosy bed, carefully not to wake her sleeping pokemon yet, and looked around for her garments so she could get dressed. During that process her Mawile both had time to wake up and notice the notice laying by the door. The small pokemon jumped down from the bed and wandered over to examine the paper, finally bringing it to the attention of Nette. Oh! she thought That is probably for me! She plucked both the note and the Mawile from the floor and headed out to the garden, to study the former under the early rays of sunlight. It took a while to work trough the silly glyphs, but the message was well worth it! Excited she headed to the main hall and greeted anyone already there with a shining "Good morning!"

Olivier woke in his usual way. Face down at a table, drool dribbling out of the corner of his mouth. Once more, he had fallen asleep watching the ink dry. Father would be displeased. He looked up and about to apologize but, could find no one. Right. He wasn't home any more. He was doing the guild thing! Maybe!
Gingerly, he wiped his mouth clean of dribble and- Oh! Hang on! A note! Made of PAPER! He read it ecstatically with avarice. Something, something mission. Something something, take down? He wasn't sure quite what that was, but it sure sounded fun! As his leafy companion then entered the hall, he turned and smiled, waving his hands quickly before crying out, "Good morning Nettles!"

Bee wanders into the hall, her hair still mussed as she looks over the note. "Ooh, hope that guy isn't too strict on timing. That quest only had two days on it, didn't it," she mutters. "Don't know how long this'll take but I don't know if we're gonna be in any shape to go exploring after - Oh, morning, Olivier, morning Nette! Morning everybody!"
She plops herself into a chair, reaching up to drag a brush through her hair. "So I guess today's gonna be busy, huh?"

Eventually, all eight of you make it into the main hall where you find 8 place mats with a bowl of what you can only assume to be the "rawst berry cereal" mentioned in the morning memo. As the eight of you take your seat, you can see Farina pushing a rolling side table at her side (you might recognize this as the same rolling table that the pokemon creation machine would normally be on. She stops it near her chair and opens the middle of three drawers and pulls out 8 manila envelopes. She goes around the table handing you each one of the envelopes. Those of you who immediately open the envelope find two pictures and the mission brief. MMD58d Guild: Odyssey Mission: Defeat Rocker Location: Mild Meadows PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: a. Locate and perform reconnaissance of Rocker's domain within the Mild Meadows b. Defeat Rocker by any means SECONDARY OBJECTIVES: a. Create a map of the area beyond Rocker's domain
TARGET DETAILS a. Rocker is known to use sound based moves b. Rocker is known to use slashing moves c. Rocker is known to summon minions
SC158e Guild: Odyssey Mission: Defeat Brohm Location: Solemn Cavern
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: a. Locate and perform reconnaissance of Brohm's domain within the Solemn Cavern b. Defeat Brohm by any means
SECONDARY OBJECTIVES: a. Recover any artifacts related to Brohm
TARGET DETAILS a. Brohm is known to use a shield b. Brohm becomes more difficult to damage with certain conditions c. Brohm is known to summon minions
Farina takes a moment to eat some of the rawst berry cereal as she waits for all of you to look over the mission brief. Sariah on the other hand is clearly waiting to see if you like her cereal. "The moo moo milk I used for it is very fresh!"

Merit is the last one to stumble in, mumbling a greeting as he passes. His eyes are somewhat groggy, and his face is hastily shaven. He opens the envelope, reading it over multiple times as he eats his cereal. After he finishes his cereal, he finds himself feeling far more awake.
"For a place called Mild Medows, this Rocker character seems pretty dangerous. Sound-based attacks can be very disorienting. If we are splitting into two teams, we need to look through our resources and assemble a kit for each team based on who they face." Merit pauses for a moment before exclaiming, "Oh, right! We have our coupons for free shoes; we should all use them before we leave. I know my shoes have seen better days."

Knowing what was truly important Nette started off breakfast by sampling the new cereal. The first spoon was very careful - she hadn't forgotten yesterdays gastronomic experience yet - but then she picked up the pace. It wasn't long until the bowl was mostly empty, with Nette staring it it lost in thoughts. The cereal had proven tasty indeed, but as it wasn't her standard fare, she had some trouble actually grading it compared to other moo moo milk based dishes.
Eventually she settled for an approving nod at Sariah then refocused on the envelope. Having paid some attention to the conversation around her she didn't feel the need to spend too much time reading and went straight for the pictures. Out of the two, the one that wasn't a bug seemed much more appealing. "*Uhm* I think I'd like that one." she announced and pointed at the Baltoy. "And new shoes wouldn't be bad!"

Henry takes a few bites of the cereal, hungry from his exploring yesterday and enjoying it. The taste was very interesting, and he had eaten about half of his bowl by the time he checked the orders. He swallowed his current mouthful, nodding. "I'd also like to tackle this Brohm. It's in the area of the quest we accepted earlier so it would be knocking out two requests with one trip... And I agree with Merit. Some new shoes would be a good idea. Tell me Sariah, did you ever find a solution to our vision issue there? Also, the cereal is VERY good!" He grins, thinking about the adventure ahead. He should be fine with his current team... He was more worried about his OWN equipment.

Buy a flashlight! She quickly interjects as you ask your question while zooming from room to room, crossing through the main hall, carrying a few more boxes. It's unclear if she's actually organizing them or just moving them around.

Bee honestly looks a little relieved when she sees one of the missions is in the Solemn Cavern. "I'm probably better off up against Brohm, too. If he kicks up a sandstorm or something Lance can just go right through it! But yeah, shopping first. I guess we can -" And there goes a fast-moving Bronie. "- buy a flashlight then, too. The cereal's great, by the way!" she calls after Sariah.
She drums her fingers on the table as she contemplates the challenge ahead. They're going to have to be careful if they want to finish mapping out the cavern and cataloging the Pokémon in it without using up the resources they need for he mission.

Helios chews his cereal thoughtfully. It is good, but certainly cannot hold a candle to the joy of pancakes as a morning repast. The way Sariah had emphasized how fresh the milk she had used was a little strange, but then again, everything she did was a little strange. Kind of like that little monster Nithia-
Shaking his head, Helios drops the train of thought and returns to the issue at hand. Mild Meadows sounded like a nice place to visit, though maybe not so much with a giant bug trying to murder your eardrums. The monster in the cavern, on the other hand, would likely be weak to his Sunkern's grass moves. Though leaning towards embarking for the cavern, Helios would have to give it a little more thought.
One thing he could decide on, however was that he could certainly use a good pair of shoes - the ones he had, while serviceable, weren't made with tromping through dangerous areas all day in mind. And, well, it was hard to argue with their price, being free and all.

Falon quickly worked his way through the bowl of cereal, not paying too much attention to the taste. Once finished, he opens the envelope and takes a look at the contents. Quickly taking in the details on their targets, he nods. "I'll take on Rocker, see if I can't add a dash of fire to his performance." He grins, before settling back on his chair, letting the others talk for a bit as he's considering potential tactics in engaging the threat.

"I'm glad that you're all quite motivated about this. I'd like to formally introduce you to our first missions. Unlike quests, missions are far more formal and the stakes are usually a bit higher than quests we would handle." Farina opens her own copy of the mission brief and scans it over again before adding, "I didn't expect that guild HQ would send us a mission so soon after our establishment... in fact it's rather odd. But this is a good chance to prove ourselves as a guild." "I will warn you though that since we aren't too well established... and we haven't gotten you all fully outfitted... and some of you are new to adventuring... that you might not necessarily defeat this boss. But, if that happens, do not let it discourage you. When facing new foes it's not always about defeating them. Sometimes it's good to go in to gather information on the boss and then retreat to form a plan or buy necessary equipment once you discover new information. So that is always an option! However, if you happen to be able to face them down immediately.... then go for it but do not be reckless! You never know what a boss might have hidden up their sleeves." Farina begins to pace back and forth looking through some note cards and mentally checking off which topics she's already addressed. "Oh yes!" She snaps her fingers as she recalls, "We did just get a new addition to our available pokemon, if any of you are up for it, but just remember that you can only take 3 pokemon with you into the dungeon." "Sariah will be here waiting for good news!" She stopped in front of the table, pulled one of the empty chairs and stood up on it. "Odyssey will soon rise to new heights!" She called out excitedly to no one in particular. Then just as quickly jumped off and continued on her way. "Uh... yes, I suppose so. I'll leave the eight of you to finish your dishes and prepare. Should you need to restock, do look in the guild storage for a few restoratives and do feel free to drop off any unneeded items. Just be careful since Sariah might take a liking to things in there." She shoots Sariah an accusing glance to which Sariah innocently sticks her tongue out a bit before continuing out of the room. "Good luck out there. Oh and just leave those reports in the slot on my door before you leave." Farina turns to leave you at the table to ponder your own devices while thinking to herself, They'll be fine... probably. Well at least these two shouldn't be able to kill any of them. I hope they play it safe anyways...

"I don't think it matters where I go, so long as I'm having fun with you all~!" Olivier chirps happily. Truth be told, he vaguely remembered saying something about wanting to the visit the cave with that crew, but his memory had been known to be faulty.
All that mattered now was new shoes! Wheew!

"I'm willing to take on Rocker as well." Merit stands up, pocketing his envelope. "Before we go into town to get our shoes and perhaps some other supplies, I'm interested in adding the new addition to my team. Something tells me we should all fill our teams."

"All together to the store then split?" Nette suggests and stands up, slowly shuffling towards the door. Today she didn't want to come home late!

"Indubitably!" Olivier cried, leaping up from the table. He wasn't sure what indubitably actually meant, but it felt like the right thing to say. "Come, come now! Let's go get shoes! And snacks! And then we'll do glorious battle with the beasts!"
And lo, before anyone could get a word in edge-wise, the half Lunari was out the door, golden hair flapping majestically in the breeze. To the shoe store he goes, though he stops very vividly in his jog to wave ecstatically at the young snack and cookie mistress in the main square, before continuing on his merry way.

"Not a bad idea-" Bee begins to respond to Nette, before Olivier decides the issue in any case by zooming out the door. She can't help but giggle a little at his enthusiasm. Life is certainly not going to get boring in this guild any time soon.
"I wouldn't mind adding to my team, too. The new addition was - oh, right, Helios said last night, he caught a Zangoose." She hums thoughtfully as she pulls her cap on. "Zangoose are pretty fast, and my team so far's slow, but what I really need is something with strong elemental powers. Lance is okay but it's not really his strongest point. Maybe I'd be better off adding a Murkrow." She flashes a smile. "Of course, covering weak points is what teammates are for, but it'd be a good option to have anyway."
