"This is my house, silly!" The girl exclaims, patting Rei on the head (despite having to stretch to reach the extra-tall Rei). As she does this, it seems like she notices Rei's height for the first time. "Woooow! You're so tall!" She giggles. In fact, now that the girl is closer, she seems to be even younger than Rei thought. Suddenly, Rei finds herself face to face with a clone of herself, though this clone is still speaking with the strange girl's voice. "Now we're twinsies! Isn't this fun?"

The girl giggles manically, a strange sound coming from what appears to be Rei's body. A moment later, she's her regular self again...and now she's on the floor. Still laughing.
"Oh my arceus...your..faces...priceless!"
Holly, Honedge, and Banette sweatdrop, extremely confused and unnerved.

Her bursting into laughter doesn't really un-confuse Rei. More or less makes it worse, to be honest. Rei just sorta stands there and waits for the laugh-fest to be over.

The girl remains in helpless stitches of laughter for more than a minute. Eventually she is forced to stop due to running low on air. She wipes tears of laughter away from her eyes as she staggers to her feet and leans against the nearby wall.
"Ah...that never gets old. I'm sure you want to know what I did, so here ya go: it's all fake! I didn't change at all! You're impressed, right?!" The girl's manic grin has yet to fade.

Just illusions doesn't explain who she is or the feeling that they followed in the first place. Rei just makes a face as she transforms.

The chair is gone, replaced with the girl again. "I can make it seem like I turned into anything, but I have to 'store' these things, and I only have like.. 3 slots right now. Mom says I'll get better at it if I keep practicing and stuff, but it's so boooring around here!" She pouts. "Mom is almost never home, and the servants just do whatever I tell them to. That's no fun."

"Now that I'm thinking on it, I could use your help. She's hard to track down but I wanted to inquire about something she researched. Does she have a study here?"

"Let me guess, you want to know about the super-secret stuff Mom was working on that would supposedly let her 'get what she deserves', right?" She taps a finger against her chin in thought. "I think it had something to do with things called 'legendary pokemon'..." She turns and looks at Rei and Holly. "You want to know so you can beat up my Mom, don't you? Hmph. Not like she doesn't deserve it sometimes. Neglecting her only daughter like this! She even told me I wasn't allowed to leave the house! Though it's not like that'd stop me. The silly servants can't tell my illusions from the real thing, so it's easy to sneak out whenever I want."

"Well I don't think it will lead to that. I was hoping to follow how she did it, not to 'beat her up'. She's on a bad path and I was hoping I could undo it."
What happens after will be unfortunate for you I guess now.
"So if there was anything, I would still rather see it. But I will promise you now, she will still get what she deserves. You can even tell her that if she comes by."

While D'Mara's daughter leads Team Reilly towards where they assume D'Mara's study is at, Holly quietly wonders to Rei why the mystery girl didn't introduce herself yet.

Eventually, the D.O.D. (Daughter of D'Mara) leads them to a small study near the back of the manor house. She easily picks the lock and gets them access, then stands aside. The room seems very plain, though it shares the black/dark green/dark purple motif that D'Mara seems to favor. The desk is thankfully not locked, so ransacking it for any bit of information is easy. Alas, it seems Miss Illusion was right, and D'Mara left little to nothing to go on. All Rei manages to find is a single slip of parchment with a set of map coordinates on it. "-35.6 N, 73.85 E" it reads. Not terribly helpful without a map of the Kanto Region that includes coordinates (which are exceptionally rare), but it's something.
Randomly deciding to take a seat in the chair at the desk, Holly accidentally reveals a hidden room within the study. Inside of this small room is a safe. Locked, of course.
