Rei - Solo RP & Special Missions

Having her own Haunter do deal with, Holly's doesn't really surprise her. She just no-sells it and smiles before going to pick up Shinpuru. As soon as she does, Hikari, the pent up ball of energy, zaps in the pumpkaboo's face before running laps around it trying to chase it's vines. Hopefully they'll tire each other out. Koto makes some ghostly flames at a safe distance from the Cacnea, but close enough to give it some light for the plant-type. Kopi seems entirely content to laugh at the goofy proceedings from a safe position in a nearby tree. Yagami goes over to the hiding Phantump and sits down. He mewls cutely trying to get it's attention. Raido, however, seems to be a little... off. Rei was about to explain things to the group, but she goes over, worried.

"Raido, are you alright?"

Raido snorts and paws his hoof against his ear like something is bothering him. As soon as Rei gets close, Raido runs off into the forest. Before Rei can even protest, there's a flash of light and something a lot faster and bigger running back at them. Rei braces for an impact but a much bigger grass goat stops in front of her, and lays down. Raido snorts happily, now fully evolved into a Gogoat. Rei is a bit stunned, and pets the soft grassy pelt of Raido.

"Oh wow Raido, you seem so big and fast now! And to think after all this time you've been with me I almost thought you maybe didn't want to evolve, or couldn't... Oh it seems riding on you would be even easier now!"

Raido licks Rei's hand a few times affectionately. Rei giggles, before petting Raido some.

"We'll take a ride soon, I promise. You rest now. Now, all of you."

All the pokemon turn for a moment. Rei takes Holly's hand in hers and makes sure Shinpuru can hear this well.

"Holly and I have gotten close. We have feelings for each other now, so we wanted to tell you all that we will be spending a lot of time together and that includes all of you. I hope you can treat Holly and her pokemon with the same affection you would show me. And I hope the opposite can be said for you six and me and my pokemon. Now for you, Shinpuru. Yes you. This goes double for you. Holly should get as much if not even more protection than you would give me."

Shinpuru chitters in defiance before Rei holds him out in front of her.

"No, Shinpuru. I know you fought with her when we found the others when we all met. But that's in the past now.
She means a lot to me and I want you to respect that, ok? I know you've been eating my tags, as well."

Shinpuru looks like he's just been accused of false theft and starts chittering again before Rei cuts him off.

"You have no way to deny it. And no reason to try to take Holly out. So... apologize."

Rei sets Shinpuru down, who after looking for a minute at a ready-to-scold Rei, walks over to Holly's feet, and bends his head down in an apologetic motion.

Shinpuru scuttles back over to the other pokemon to play after being petted, he figures it's better to not stick around right away. Yagami is absolutely willing to make a new friend, and starts playing with the other ghost-type.

"Ow. Ok we are friends now."

Rei tries to 'carefully' hug the Cacnea back without hurting herself too much before getting back up.

"Now you all play for a bit, we'll be over there if you need us."

Rei gathers her blank note sheets up and leads Holly over to an open area to the side. Once there, Rei holds Holly's hand again.

"While they play, I'd like to get a little more serious."

Rei looks off before looking back.

"As long as you are okay with it, I'd like to study you. One thing that has been bothering me is that I don't really know how you work fully. And if something happened to you..."

Rei shivers a little bit.

"I know you are stronger and you heal fast but... I want to know if something happens that I won't have to just sit there and shrug. I've seen bad things out here, and while I wouldn't wish them even on enemies, I can't guarentee that it won't happen.
And I don't want to lose you because of lack of knowledge."

Rei nods before going to get a blanket she brought with her and sets it down so they both just aren't just standing there awkwardly. She and Holly take a seat and Rei fires off a couple of quick questions.

What's the worst injury you've had and how long did it take to heal?

How aligned with the spiritual world are you? (IE, do anti-ghost things like Rei's tags affect you like ghosts, are you weak to anti-ghost moves, etc)

If you are seperated from Honedge, how long can you be apart before real problems start arising?

Rei waits with her note pad, (if) Holly can answer any of these.

Rei scribbles down as much notes as she feels like she needs. The injury thing makes her seem like she's not got some sort of super power or anything. Maybe with healing/medicine, she would heal a bit faster? Hmmm.

"Those second two actually put a lot of my fears at ease. Only becoming a spirit part of the time means you work like a human the rest, which is something I can understand. And that last one is a very big relief. I know there are people who would take your pokemon out there... Like what almost happened to me... twice... and you became unhealthy during the time we would be trying to get Honedge back, I would have been very worried. 'Weak' but not dying is not 'great' but a lot better than I was thinking."

After she's done, she holds the notes close to her as she considers her next move.

"I'm sure I'll have more questions later when I think of more but... can you use some of your abilities out here so I can observe? The more I understand the more I can help, and it always seems like you do things when none of us are looking, haha."

Rei is taking notes as Holly does each thing a few times, and even though she knew about the connection with her honedge, seeing and observing it is something different entirely. No wonder Clay mistook the connection the first time before things were cleared up. Regardless, she makes notes about everything she can (How long it takes, any strain Holly might be going through, things like that). Even as Holly finishes, Rei is still writing on the sheets, and hasn't really noticed she was done. If Holly peeks around, she sees that Rei is currently adding more detail (Maybe a little more than she needs?) to a few Holly sketches in the book in various poses of combat.

Rei continues, adding a lot of detail, in particular on the faces before she realizes she's still out here with Holly. She blushes and holds the papers close.

"Oh I'm sorry Holly! I think I was getting a little carried away..."

She clears the throat as she looks clearly embaressed.

Rei blushes as she hugs it a bit closer, as if that'll help.

"Let's umm... Let's say I have someone worth drawing."

"You are right, I know. I just kinda lost myself drawing you and didn't realize I was doing it."

Rei puts them down and looks at them.

"I used to do them a lot more. If I wasn't trading I was reading the few books we had or drawing. We lived a bit far away from anything... it got a bit boring at times unless you found something to do..."

"Well I mean that's all the ideas I had. Give our pokemon a chance to play not being cooped up in the guild and a private place to observe you for notes. Hopefully they'll help if something ever happens."

Rei just scoots close to Holly.

"Do 'you' want to do anything? I know you like to say no, but I don't want to basically run your life by doing just what 'I' want."
