The directions Rei was given lead her to an empty hallway. Just as she's starting to wonder if perhaps she was misled, a door materializes in the far wall. It has the character for 'Psychic' or 'Mind' on it. This must be your way in. Gently pushing open the door, you find yourself in a narrow hallway with multiple small rooms on either side. Some of the doors are ajar, and you can see people studying or meditating within. As there are no beds to be seen in them, it's likely these are private study rooms. It makes sense, considering the Psychic Branch is said to be the most introverted and studious of the Guild.
As you walk, you have the strangest feeling of being watched. It feels almost like something is pressing on your mind, attempting to read your thoughts. More than likely, it is a result of curious Branch Members trying to see who the stranger in their midst is.
(You can roll Focus to resist the intrusions, but they'll only get surface thoughts at best either way.)

Rei attempts to resist the fingers pushing into her mind, but let's face it, she didn't stand a chance before. Despite being the branch leader, it was still all too easy for her to get into Rei's mind, which is a bit unsettling. These are probably the rest of the branch, but mind-reading is still a big unknown for her, so she doesn't bother resisting. She decides to just keep her thoughts on wanting to seek out Miss Velaross about her request for occult information. Maybe one of the psychic branch members will 'hear' that, and point out the way, or Anya herself will.

After awhile, the attempts to read Rei's mind stop; their curiosity satisfied. The narrow hallway full of private study rooms eventually opens up into a large room full of towering bookshelves filled to the brim with more things than Rei has ever seen in her life. To her, it may seem as though all the knowledge of the world is contained within these walls, as the "library room" seems to continue on forever. Suddenly, Rei is snapped out of her awestruck state by a strange voice in her mind.
"Hey! You're the brave warrior who saved me yesterday! What are you doing here?"
Looking around, you spot the supposedly mute girl from yesterday. The one you saved from those thugs.

Books! So many books! Rei wants to sit and live in this room for a month, just to even tackle a portion of this! She's startled by a voice in her mind, but not a very invasive one. It's the girl she saved. Rei turns, and gives a slight bow greeting.
"Oh, uh, hello! Your name is Nemae, right? Your mother told me who you were after we got back. I'm afraid in all the chaos that was yesterday we didn't get properly introduced. I'm Rei. Rei Leeda. It's very nice to meet you."
Rei looks a little concerned thinking about yesterday, but she re-focuses on why she came here.
"Your mother actually invited me. She said that if I ever had questions about the occult, that I could come and ask her."

"Well I don't really mean to be yelling loud thoughts. As for guarding, I'm not sure how to do that, especially in my current state. So I suppose I apologize. Not sure how to turn it off."
Oooh, I wonder if she can hear me! Hi Nemae. Did my daughter already tell you she feels guilty because she saw your attack two days-
Rei shuts him out hard, and thinks for a moment.
"Yes, maybe you can. I think you might be the only branch in the guild with the knowledge to help me. I was hoping that I wasn't the only one in the guild with extensive knowledge about spirits or the afterlife?"

"I mean not directly the study, no. I have a few requests, and if you could help, that would be great. My first question is, have you or anyone in the branch kept any records of any abductions or dissapearances related to ghosts? And if you do, is there a general area they'd be happening?"

"There are nearly always disappearances when people wander into a Pokemon's territory unprepared. That's hardly exclusive to Ghosts. We only keep records of ones that happen near to cities, and those are thankfully rare. There have been many reports of people disappearing in the Lavender Swamp over the years, but that's as likely to be someone getting lost as being attacked. The further out into uncharted territory you go, the more likely something is to happen to you. Especially if you don't take proper precautions, like not traveling alone."

"I suppose that's always going to be an issue, I was hoping there would be more of a concentration. I figured Lavender Swamp would be mentioned, but I don't think that's where I'm looking for. Is there anywhere around of a sort of high spiritual energy? One besides Lavender Swamp that has a huge concentration of ghost-types?

"Well I was hoping to track a couple of someones down who vanished, we believed by spirits, when I was young. I feel a need to see what really happened to them. But I don't quite live near the area so the swamp may be a reach, and Celedon Castle is even more of one. I always figured the area that it might have been was in some forest or ruin or something. Where spirits could easily hide those they take."

Thanks to you, the damage was contained to just torn clothes and some nasty bruises, but clothes can be mended and bruises will heal. Rei breathes as she tries to summon up the energy to ask the question that will either brand her as magic or as mad.
"What do you know... of premonitions of the future?"

I believe that, somehow, you truly did get a glimpse of a possible future. I'm no expert in premonitions or predicting the future, but if I had to hazard a guess, I would say that somehow this event was so...big? traumatic? important? that it actually echoed across the timelines, and you happened to be in the right place, at the right time, with the right spiritual sensitivity to receive this vision. Even if my guess is correct, I couldn't tell you why any of it happened."
She pauses a few minutes to allow you to take in this information. "Have you had any other... 'experiences' like this?"
