To one side, as Gina and Gladius finished their pleasantries, Victor had dropped into a squat and was lavishing Precious with attention. Rubbing under her chin with his large fingers, praising her in much the same tone he had used to call her. His white eyes snapped up when all attention settled on him to get moving, and he scooped the Pokemon up without much to-do and a great deal of embarrassment, leaving her tucked under his arm. "I ain't the type, but she's used to it... quit eyeballin' me!" He grumped loudly, before striding double-time past the others.

Ezra patted Ann on the head as the brawl came to a close. She then began circling around his head slowly making happy sounds. He looked at each of the group in turn, the man with his sword raised, the one doting on his Pokemon and the woman with the bird on her shoulder. As he looked toward her he noticed how banged up her Pokemon was, reaching into his bag he pulled out a potion as she recalled it. She commented on how they should get heading toward the docks. He rather agreed with the sentiment. "Well let's get a move on. If any of your Pokemon need some assistance I have some extra potions. If you release them I can heal them while we walk." Ezra shook the undiluted potion to emphasize his comment.

Gladius looked up as Ezra shook the potion bottle, like he'd been stirred from some dark reverie.
"Huh? Oh, sure. Thanks," he said, releasing Aquila to receive medical attention and letting the young eagle perch on his shoulder again, once he was feeling better.

Gina chuckled at Victor's lavishing of attention on lil' Precious, taking her away from wondering why Gladius seemed so down. Maybe she'd ask later, AFTER they were on the road...Er, sea? On the sea roads? At Erza's suggestion, Gina nodded, reaching back into her bra to release the battered lil' Chatot onto her shoulder for medical attention. "Oh, thanks. I was just going to wait until we got a ship." She commented, watching Victor stride towards...somewhere. "Er, we should hurry and catch up with him, though." She pointed out before doing just that.

Ezra hurried and applied a potion to both Aquila and Dolly. Zipping from one to the next as they walked. He felt much better as he tended to their wounds his apprehension ebbed away a bit as their pain did. He then fell into stride behind the group, Ann continuing to circle around his head.

As Ezra tended to Aquila and Dolly, an idea struck Gladius. "Hold up, just...one second," he said, running back to where he left the Marine Lieutenant. He hastily relieved the Marine Lieutenant of his shirt. Not terribly worried if he popped a button here or there, and hurried back to the others, shirt in hand.
As he rejoined the others, Gladius tore the sleeves off of the shirt, dropping them unceremoniously in the road as they went. Once both sleeves were removed, he put the crudely-fashioned 'vest' on over his armor. It looked slightly comical, as if it were at least two sizes too small.
"There, that's better," Gladius said with a satisfied grin.

As the group follows after Victor and his smug-looking lettuce, you can hear the sounds of merrymaking in the distance are being joined by other, more worrisome noises. Someone yelling about escapees, harsh voices giving indistinct orders, and confused and frightened civilians struggling to comply. Thankfully it seems most of the noise is focused on the area around the jail; and the number of marines involved seems to be minimal. Too many are too deep in their cups or other diversions to care apparently.
With Gina guiding you through the alleys and sidestreets of the town, you find yourselves at the harbor. The Marine ship sits at anchor, the Wingull-emblem flag snapping in the light wind as its hawsers creak. The ship is easily the size of a frigate; there's no way the four of you would be able to man it all on your own. However there are a few small boats in the water, including a finely appointed one that stands out from the rest of the civilian boats. The fact that the Marine emblem is writ large across the sails is also a good indicator that it's not local.
But the area is a subdued hive of activity, Marines carousing at the nearby taverns and bars (including the one owned by Gina's mother, which appears to be packed), a few "escorting" ladies of the evening about, and some playing dice or cards, though thankfully none of them seem to be using stolen property for the pots.
But thankfully there are also large numbers of crates and barrels stacked up, most likely supplies for loading in the morning. It's a haphazard one, but it's still a decent screen from most of the viewpoints along the docks.

Gladius crossed his arms and frowned, looking at the docks. "Hmm...," he hummed. "Well, they all look pretty busy...I guess we could just walk on out there and see if they notice us," he suggested in a jovial tone. "But that probably wouldn't work...and I'm not exactly what you'd call sneaky," He added, rubbing a hand on his chin. "We could always fight our way through if they spot us...but I get the feeling you guys don't want to take on all of the Marines on the island...," he added, considering their other options. "If we had some kinda distraction that could work...but I'd feel bad blowing something up or lighting something on fire...it's not the townsfolk's fault...hmm...," he said thoughtfully, looking at Gina for a long moment.
"Hey, you're still dressed up like one of them. Think you could get them to run off down an alley? Make them think we're off in another direction?," he asked, "then we can swipe as much stuff as we can, steal that ship, and get outta here...yeah...," he said, pleased with his little plan.
"Well, think you could do it?," he asked Gina eagerly.

"Best we didn't tarry either way. The Marines are flippin' the town and rousing their numbers from the cups and thighs of the smallfolk." Victor scratched his head for a moment and then nodded to himself, before becoming a splitting image of Gina, uniform and all. "Whatever we're doing, let's get to it. I'll get you lot off this rock however I gotta." Even the voice was close to spot on, though the accent was all wrong.

Gina paused, looking at the others. "Yeah, I'm DRESSED like them, but even the drunk ones earlier knew I was just wearing the uniform instead of a real Marine...And then I'd still have to make it back to the ship before they figure out what's going on, which doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room." She pointed out, just before the giant cyborg turned into her. "...All right, THAT is impressive. Still, that doesn't solve the issue of getting back to the boat before the Marines and setting sail after causing said distraction, and I've never been on a ship before, so I'm not entirely sure how I could really help load or prepare it." She sighed. "...If we can't just hop from one cargo stack to another, at least just let me do the distraction instead. He was terrible at lying earlier."

Ezra stared at Gladius when he commented out just walking out there. That was bound to get them killed. At least he seemed to note that the rest of the group had some sense. That was a better sign. "If you want to lead one into an alley it would almost be better to NOT be wearing a uniform." Ezra said as he pondered their predicament. "We could hide in the cargo, but I guess then we'll end up on a marine ship surrounded by enemies." Looking at the ground he thought a bit more. "Just running out and calling for help might work, don't give them time to think about what you're wearing. Then run into the alley." Ezra shrugged as he looked toward the edge of the stack of cargo. Stone turned into a copy of Gina. He'd seen the trick before but it was still such a strange thing, especially when the man talked with her voice. When Gina commented on her being the one to distract them he agreed.

As the group attempts to come up with some viable distraction, pulled this way and that by their unfamiliarity with each other and their capabilities, fortune smiled upon them. A drunken sailor emerged from The Dripping Clamperl (a stiff competitor of Gina's mother's). Singing a shanty to himself, and stumbling in a half-jig/half-waltzing sort of dance, it looked like he'd just finished having a very good time, and was looking for another. Unfortunately, in his meandering shuffle-dance, he became landsick. Lurching to the side, he grabbed onto the nearest support to steady himself.
Said support turned out to be the belaying pin keeping the load of the crane it was inserted in off the ground. Slipping to the side and putting all his weight on the pin in an effort to keep upright, the pin popped loose... and the crates that had been in the netting came crashing down, smashing apart to reveal stores of food... and the glitter of Shards that had been tucked away in between the food. There was a moment of silence... before a small mob of sailors and civilians alike descended on the wreckage, looking to snatch the glittering prizes for their own.
The commotion even pulled the attention of the skeleton crew left aboard the ship, who emerged with clubs in-hand and mon at their heels to subdue the civilians (and possibly their shipmates).

"That's our cue," Gladius said as the commotion broke out. Without waiting for a response from the others, he strolled right out into the harbor, playing it cool like he belonged there. Gladius had a serious, confident look on his face. The look said, 'I'm doing my job. I'm supposed to be here. Don't question me.'Maintaining his composure, he walked right over to one of the crates. What self-respecting Pirate wouldn't try and make off with some loot, after all? This crate, in particular, gave him a really good feeling...like something told him to pick it up. So he did, and continued on his merry way toward the boat he intended to steal... Guile to walk on by and snag a crate: 8.
D20 for the crate: Nat 20.

Victor-Gina rolled his eyes and started after Gladius. "Can today really get any more ridiculous? Come on then... in you get Precious." Slipping his Pokemon back into containment, the cyborg started after Gladius, making the effort to keep a low profile and board the ship that seemed most prime for the taking. The commotion near the crane surprised him, but Ezra knew a chance when he saw one. With a sidelong glance at Ann he returned her to her Pokeball. He was about to try and make a break for it when Gladius nonchalantly strolled over and grabbed a crate as he headed for the ship. He heard Stone mutter under his breath and then take off as well. Not really wanting to be left behind Ezra followed as quickly and quietly as he could. Stealth roll of 7.

...Well, this was a lucky break. Following the others' leads, and wondering why Victor was STILL illusioned as her, she headed towards the ship, trying to go unnoticed while also looking like she was supposed to be there so no one should question her. That would work, right? No one really noticed dock workers, anyway. She considered picking up a crate or chest like Gladius, but that would've been far too obvious. Maybe a small bag? No, the bags were still large, so that would still be obvious...She'd just trust that Gladius picked up something useful and carry on towards the ship. Stealth: 7 Guile: 13

The quartet is able to make their way onto the pinnace, using a combination of stealth and sheer balls-out bravado. Casting off is a simple affair with Victor and Gina's knowledge, and you're able to push off and are halfway out of the harbor before someone seems to notice that you're not actually headed for the warship. But between the chaos on the pier the positioning of the ship at dock, and the lack of hands left on the actual ship, by the time they manage to bring even the swivel guns brought around, you're well out of range... and sailing into a darkening sea with only the supplies that may or may not be on the pinnace, whatever it was that Gladius grabbed, and whatever you had on-hand after escaping.
Now the question is... where to now? And where can you go with what supplies are on-board?

Gladius grinned as they pulled out of port, standing tall on the aft end of the ship beside his box of loot. When the Marines finally did notice they were leaving, he made sure to wave goodbye to them...among a few other rude gestures and taunts.
Only was the island was well behind them did he stop his jeering and come down...and noticed his compatriots were empty-handed.
"You guys didn't grab anything?," he asked quizzically. "What kind of self-respecting Pirate would skip on some loot on the way out? Or at the very least a food crate," he added. "I hope we have some food and water on this ship, or this is gonna be a really short trip, heh," he said, sitting down cross-legged in front of his chest, eagerly imagining what it might hold. It did look like a treasure chest, after all...
"Alright, time to crack this bad boy open," he said, rubbing his hands together. He reached out, grabbed the lock, and tugged...no good, but he didn't expect it to be that easy, and he kept at it.
The more things he tried, the more his smile turned to a frown. He tried tugging it in different directions, no good. Jingling it, no good. Sticking the tip of his sword into the lock and jingling that around and trying to turn it, no good. Trying to saw on the bar with his sword, no good. Out of frustration he even tried to gnaw his way through the lock...no good.
He glared at the lock, a deep, annoyed frown on his face. "Stupid lock, just open already, damn it!," he grumbled, growling at the box. Out of frustration,l he grabbed his sword agin, lining it up to pommel strike the lock, but taking his time to aim his blow.

Ezra sighed in relief as the ship left port. He wasn't quite sure they were going to make it out at the end there. He'd been in some sticky situations before but never more than an angry mob. He usually got out of town before the marines got called in. He'd have to be more careful from now on. Gladius began berating them for not taking anything. Ezra narrowed his eyes and replied. "Pirate? I'm not a pirate. I guess I might be one now, but I really wasn't thinking about that." He watched as the man tried to open it with the point of a sword blade. "That's... really not going to work." Ezra smirked as he tried to cut the bar with the blade and even tried to bite it. He watched the man lifted his sword up pommel first, most likely about to try and break it. "Hey, if you don't know how to open a lock at least let someone else have a crack at it. What if it's got something delicate inside?" Perception 10

"Well that's why I didn't just shake the box apart!," Gladius snapped at Ezra before processing the rest of his comment, sword still hanging in the air as he prepared to start taking a more percussive approach to lockpicking.
Gladius blinked twice in rapid succession. "Wait...are you saying you think you can open it? Without breaking it?," he asked eagerly, finally lowering his sword.
"You can give it a try if you think you can open it...I wanted to keep the box anyway," he said, standing up, brushing off his legs, and sheathing his sword. "It kinda looks like a treasure chest, that's why I swiped it, and what pirate doesn't want their own treasure chest?," he asked with a grin, making room for Ezra to take a crack at it, and watching with an eager, expectant look on his face.
