"Yes, but there are caveats. For one, the people on that Plane don't tend to get into fights themselves. They train the Pokemon and those do the battling. Anyone familiar with Bantian magic from Alara may see a resemblance. So should a denizen of Arthea challenge you to a battle, please be aware that they more than likely are challenging you to a Pokemon battle, not a fist fight. So I would advise against attacking any humans directly, either yourself or with your Pokemon. Should one of them try to attack you first though, all bets are off."
Sensing there were no other questions, Jace leads you to the back of his office, where behind it is a smaller, even less decorative room than the one you were just in. A stone pedestal sits in the center and he stands on it before addressing you.
This room is safe from outsiders. It has wards created by a few associates of mine that can detect intentions and prevent anyone who wishes me harm from Walking here. Once you've completed your primary goal, you can return here and we can discuss your roles in the Consortium."
Taking a breath, Jace begins to Planeswalk. Each of you follows him into the Blind Eternities, seeing bubbles of many different Planes all around you. He takes a moment to chart a course before slowly moving, going past a number of Planes towards the outer reaches of Dominia. He stops just short of what can only be Arthea, before channeling his Mana into the Plane. Each of you does the same and before finding yourself in a laboratory of sorts.
Before you stands an elderly man and a trio of children, all of whom look excited. The elderly man seems to be performing some sort of ritual, before handing them each a Pokeball. The children all begin to chatter amongst themselves before receiving a small red device and being escorted out of the building. A short moment later, the man turns and walks into the room with you all.
"Ok, Jace, right? These must be the second group you told me about." The man turns to you all specifically. I'm Professor Oak. I study Pokemon for a living, basically. I've been informed of your basic reasons for being here, to capture a Pokemon of your own. I've decided to assist you in this under the condition that you all also be sure to help provide me with any information regarding recent... Changes in our Plane. Although, to be fair, the assistance I'll be giving you is much less comparable to that of what you'll provide for me should anything come from it. I'm going to teach you to catch a Pokemon."
The thought of teaching the motley crew in front of him about capturing Pokemon strikes him as funny, and he actively suppresses a laugh.
"Its pretty simple actually. You can waltz in there and throw a Pokeball at it, and it might catch the Pokemon. But if you want the best chances possible, you're going to have to weaken it first. I've been informed that you each have a bond with something that functions similar to a Pokemon on our Plane, so you're gonna wanna use that. At least at first. In any case, deal some damage to the Pokemon. If you have any skills that leave lasting effects on the Pokemon, that helps too. The hardest part is making sure you don't knock the Pokemon out. If its KO'd, the Pokeball can't register it correctly. I didn't design them so I don't know why it has that flaw but that's the rule. So deal some damage, cause some lasting effects when possible, and make sure you don't knock it out. Cake walk. Any questions?"

Arata takes in what the old man is saying. It does indeed seem simple and should not take them too long. One concern does come to mind though. "You have both so far talked about using Pokémon to fight Pokémon. Will we distress the people of your plane unnecessarily were we also to join the fray?" Arata did not want to let his own skills go to waste, but it would do no good to anger the populace.

"Yeah, people would get pretty upset if you jumped into a fight and started pounding on their Pokemon, or them. Especially if you start using more creative abilities. The most outrageous I've seen anyone get here on Arthea is some psychic powers and until now I'd assumed it was just parlor tricks. We have legends of people with the ability to harness Aura, but that hasn't been seen around here for longer than I can remember. With the things I've seen as of late, probably not as much myths as I thought they'd be."

Ruta glide effortlessly after the Living Guildpact, his grace coming more so by the sway of his large robe-like cloak than by his own physical abilities. Planewalking itself was still somewhat surreal to Ruta although the process feels as natural to him breathing. For years Ruta thought himself a kind of insomniac with lucid dreams but all those dreams turned out to be very real. In an almost listless dream-like stat the lawmage followed after Jace, only breaking out of his mild reverie at the introductions of the professor.
Ruta solemnly listens to the professors instructions, finding the mission becoming seemly easier by the minute. As a Child of the Black Sun, Ruta had to mentally question Jace's tests for joining the Consortium. Reflectively, there were several other test he had to complete that required more effort so perhaps the issue was mute.
The lawmage review the professor words critically in his head, finding the loophole and decided to clarify for the sake of the warrior. "So there is no rule against fighting the wild creatures, by our own means. The only issue, I believe, is our use of powers in the presence of mundane. If appearing out of nowhere gives these people a cause for alarm then any other magic will generate the same affect. The issue is null however if there is no mundanes present." Ruta comment in a matter of fact tone while Faultless peeks at the professor with gleaming red eyes. Since entering the Blind Eternities, the black cat had decided to doze upon his master's shoulders, only narrowly opening his eyes at object of interest.

"A world without magic? This is such a strange place! But if the use of our skills would perturb the locals, what of the creatures we will be using? I would imagine none of them are found around here either. Especially not the genius creations of the Izzet!"
This seemed like it would be a fun little excursion, hardly much of a test at all. Occasionally, members of the Izzet League would hold clandestine pit fights to test their weirds in combat against one another - purely for science, they swear - and Cho was looking forward to the opportunity to test one out against another world's strange fauna.

Professor Oak gets a smirk.
"Well, that's the fun part. You see, the Pokemon on this Plane come in literally hundreds of varieties. And its not like you can encounter all of them all in one place, they're spread out all across the world. So while there will undoubtedly be people that get interested and want to see what kind of Pokemon you've got, its categorically impossible for anyone to know every species of Pokemon in the world. So just say something along the lines of catching it back home where you're from and no one will probably pay much mind."

"Alright then. Is there a particular area or direction you would like us to perform this test in? Or a time limit you wish to set?" He addressed both Jace and Oak with this, unsure which is truly setting this test. Arata was feeling ready to get going at this point, something he suspected might be shared with the others here. Idly, he wondered if there were creatures here that may act as a steed to him. Preferably something with wings.. he missed the thrill of combat from moth-back.

"There is, in fact, a particular area I'm going to have you investigate." Oak pulls out a map with the word "Kanto" written at the top and sets it on the table in front of you. He points to an area close to the south of the main land. "This is where we are now, Pallet town. Just north of us is Viridian City, and just north of that lies Viridian Forest. I'd like you guys to take a look around there. None of the Pokemon there are too terribly strong, and even before things started getting weird there has always been a decent variety of Pokemon to look out for there."

"Excellent. Well I propose then that we set off." Arata seems only half interested on whether or not the others are actually inclined to agree, this is still at the level of not needing a group after all, but he would at least give the organisers time to interject as he readies himself to leave.

Oak nods and prepares to get back to work before remembering something that seems at least relatively important to him.
"One last thing! To our funny looking friend there-" He points to Ori, "If anyone asks what you are, just tell them you're cosplaying. Other than that, smell ya later."

Ruta stepped forward to look over the professor's map, resting a finger on his chin in thought, before giving a small nod.
"The way seems clear enough." Statisfied with the information at hand Ruta moved to follow after the warrior before recalling an earlier concern and abruptly came to a stop. "Hmmm, I don't care for traveling with strangers therefor we should all become acquainted. At the very least we can be civilize and refer to each other by our preferre names."
The lawmage look down the edge of his nose at the others, a habit more than anything, before facing the green haired teen with a pointed stare. "By the way, I've deduce your name is Bug and while, yes, my ears have a rather knife-like quality to them, I admit. I do have a proper name, one that should be simple enough for you to remember; Ruta..."Ruta then faced the other planeswalkers and spoke. "Just, Ruta. And I am a lawmage." As if saying 'lawmage' was all that was needed to explain his abilities.
Meanwhile Faultless yawns, baring sharp fangs, quickly becoming bored with the lab and with it's master standing around making noises? Instead Faultless could be sleeping on his master's lap at sound of Zibs and Zeni gently clattering on the table. Faultless love hiding his master' things, he tends to react funny when Faultless moves the square and triangular coins around. Sometime he,d get a swat on the butt for it but his master never really tried to hurt Faultless. Faultless quietly purrs at the thought and continues to doze.

Bug, who had been listening quietly up until now, perks up at the word Forest. "Forest? Place with lots of trees? Bug enjoys forests... Ah! Does Professor Oak know much about growing forest? Bug is wondering if Oak has tips for Bug on growing of many trees." Stupid garbled words making Bug seem like a neanderthal... He gives Root a bit of a pat on the head, letting the little pokemon ride on his shoulder for now, and throughout the trip to this plane. "In addition, Bug would like to know what KINDS of things live in this... Viridian Forest, if Professor knows."

"Eh, what you'd normally expect in a forest I guess. Rabbits, insects, mice, birds. There's been an influx of trainers coming in and some of the Pokemon from the surrounding areas have been going into the forest for safety a bit, so there might even be more, its been a while since I've been out there. Unfortunately for you my speech impaired friend, I'm not particularly knowledgeable in botany. My area of expertise has always been the Pokemon themselves, since me and Red set out to complete the Pokedex for Gramps all those years ago. I might be able to get in touch with another Professor that could be more useful to you though. Think of that as incentive for giving me a hand with my request."

Arata pauses at the door when he hears the introductions. "Yes it would be convenient to know each other's names. I am Arata Kenshin, a warrior." Lawmage seemed an odd job description, but fairly straightforward in purpose at least. Some kind of magical enforcer no doubt. Arata nods to himself as he figures it out.

Bug frowns at the professor. "Bug does not have speech impediment. Professor knows of Walkers and the language learning, yes? Bug was raised in a society without..." He pauses, thinking of the word. "Pronouns? Bug was raised around animals, so pronouns do not come naturally. Bug is working on this though. But thank you for the offer of contact. Bug will return soon!" He excitedly looks to the door and begins to leave. "Um... Was there anything else? Or shall we go to Viridian Forest?"

Oak gives a thumbs up to Jace, who watches quietly as you are all escorted out of the lab. Outside you can find the area to be quite peaceful. You're led past a field that seems to be filled to the brim with a wide variety of Pokemon all playing together or otherwise existing relatively peacefully. Oak explains that the Pokemon in the field are all owned by various trainers, and as such are less inclined to fight one another when not called in to battle.
You all head North, through a small uneventful path into the town of Viridian City. Oak smiles and waves at some of the locals, and the kids you had seen earlier receive Pokemon from the lab emerge from the Pokecenter chattering enthusiastically about their recent catches. "If your Pokemon take a beating, don't be afraid to take them to that building. The people in their have a variety of healing items and they'll fix them right up, wont even charge you." A few short minutes later you all stand at a large gap in the trees of a forest.
"This is it. Viridian Forest. You lot should have it taken care of from here really, I have another set of trainers to meet with so they can begin their journeys. If you need anything, just follow the same path South to Pallet, I'll be there all day. As soon as I get a chance I'll find out what I can about any botany specialists for you Bug. Just keep your ears to the ground for anything helpful."

Arata draws his Kodachi, the long blade glinting. Beside him a small bipedal Seal mimicked him, drawing from a smaller scabbard a Wakizashi. It would be a small weapon for Arata, but to the little creature it is quite large. "All right Shiki-kan, we fight now as one. We are to weaken and capture a creature of this world." He says as they both take position in front of the forest entrance. "Just don't use your blade on people or already captured creatures" Arata seems to be saying, as much to himself as to his partner. "I am ready to advance" He announces, looking to the rest of you and wondering why no one else was readying for combat yet.
