Isabelle looks around as Cookie is released, seeking out the source of the weird feeling of being watched. It takes her a few moments to realize what the culprit is--not because she doesn't see it, but because she doesn't realize it's a living thing that /can/ be watching her until the eyes blink. At the edge of the clearing, what seems to be a vegetable of some kind stands on thick oval feet, it's whole body a dark purple with green leaves sticking out from it's top like hair. Pale red spots make up its eyes and mouth, all of which are round as it looks at her and takes a hesitant step forward. Curiosity practically radiates from the strange creature and noting her attention, it lets out a soft 'Odd?'

Looking at the vegetable, Isabelle lets out a bit of a giggle. I was scared of a vegetable!?, she thinks to herself. Normally vegetables didn't talk, but then again normally she didn't have hands... Figuring she'd at least try and see if the thing wants something, Isabelle pats Cookie, telling her faithful companion to stay over by the makeshift sleeping mat for the time being. She didn't want to scare it away if she was going to talk to it. Isabelle stands, but does so slowly. She walks over to it slowly and as quietly as she can. When she gets within a few steps of it, she stops and crouches down to be closer to eye-level. "You certainly are odd..." She murmurs to herself as she gets a closer look at the thing. "Do you need something? Are you in trouble?"Maybe it's stupid to be asking a vegetable questions, but it's worth a try! Charm for not scaring away/talking to the Oddish: 13NVVHOm3d6

The raddish looking creature leans forward as she approaches, as if sniffing--which is frankly ridiculous, because it isn't like it has a /nose/. It doesn't seem at all afraid of Isabelle, and doesn't so much as flinch when she gets closer. Rather, it waddles closer itself and seems to be looking her over itself. It doesn't have hands to touch her with, but it does lean forward a little to brush its leaves against her front.

While the vegetable doesn't flinch, Isabelle does. She certainly wasn't expecting it to be so friendly! Taken a bit aback, Isabelle slowly reaches forward and gives the radish a gentle pat on it's leaves. "H-hi there...uh...little radish. Are you...alright? Is there something you want?" She asks softly. Charm again to pet the Oddish/talk to it without angering it: |cQwdOXU3d6+1

This is clearly a radish...thing of some kind that just doesn't have a sense of fear. Possibly because it is a radish. Isabelle isn't too clear on that part. In any case, it's lack of fear might have something to do with it seeming a little...slow. It gapes up at Isabelle, brushing its leaves against her leg occasionally, but doesn't seem to comprehend much of what she said. It glances off, noticing Cookie, and waddles over to stare at the dog with that same open, innocent little vegetable face.

"Well, if it isn't bothering anyone..." Isabelle thinks aloud, standing as she does so. She shrugs and walks back over to the area she was sleeping in and sits down next to Cookie, giving her a pat to let her know it's alright. Cookie lays down, and while she lets the radish do what it wants, she keeps an eye on it just to be sure. Isabelle decides to get on with the rest of her day, and starts with giving her Pokemon a pep talk. She touches the apple on her forearm, sending out Chester who ends up sitting down next to Cookie. Chester looks over the radish hungrily, but makes no moves to hurt or eat it, being either too lazy or too afraid of reprimand to go for it. Probably the former. Over the next hour, Isabelle tries to encourage her Pokemon to do their best today, and lets them know her plans for the day so they'll be prepared. While she's by no means a fighter, she even tries to do a bit of training with them. Isabelle ends up just clapping and saying "Good job!", but at least her Pokemon got some time to practice their attacks when they aren't in the middle of a fight. Isabelle applies XP Training and Inspired Training.

The radish seems perfectly happy to just watch, and ends up settling under a tree to stay out of the way. By the time Isabelle finishes, Jack has joined in and seems to be working with Santa, and the strange pokemon has fallen asleep with its leaves curving over its face.
As their training comes to an end, Jack flops on the ground panting from the morning work out. As if as an after thought, he starts twirling a finger and cool air seems to twirl around him. "So hotttt," He groans.

"It is a bit hot out isn't it?" Isabelle adds, but then feels the cool air and looks around. "Is-is that you? Are you doing that?" She asks.
"Is...is that like that um...ice from yesterday with the monkeys? That...That was you right?" Isabelle wasn't exactly sure how someone could do that. Is that even possible outside of fantasy novels?

Jack leans up slightly, on his elbows, to get a good look at Isabelle. After a moment he nods, twirling his finger more. "Not as much as I used to be able to do, like there's something here that's blocking me...but yeah. I'm Jack Frost--ice is what I do." He shrugs, flopping back again. "Not as exciting as it sounds, I'm sure."

"Do you know a Jingle? He delivers gifts for the Mayor to give out to everyone in town during the winter. He seems like someone you might know, seeing as you both work in winter." Isabelle asks. "I guess it's an odd thing to ask, considering the circumstances. It's just the first thing to come to mind, I suppose. Maybe we can try and find what's dampening your powers, though? I guess that's kind of a lofty goal... Right now, though, we should try and get a move on! We don't want to travel in the dark, and we'll need to try and find somewhere to set up camp. More food and supplies wouldn't be a bad thing either. If that's alright with you, I mean."If Jack agrees to start traveling again, Isabelle will go over to the radish and talk to it. "Hey little...radish...Do you want to come along with us? We're trying to find a place to set up camp and I thought you might like to come too, seeing as you stayed around." She isn't exactly sure if it can understand her, but she wouldn't want to just leave it all alone without asking first. In case Jack wants to keep on trucking along, here's a Survival roll from Chester to find a Build Zone/continue going where he was going yesterday: JVhQKSyV3d6 3d6

Jack shakes his head. "Jingle...?" Something lights up behind his eyes. "Oh! You mean Santa? We've met. He kicked me out of his workshop."
"I'd like to find out the reason why I'm so...bleh." He grimaces. "Supplies would be nice, yeah. Your little friend seems to have a good idea where he's going.."
Jack will follow Munchlax--who starts off slow, but seems to figure out his path again and prance off excitedly after a few minutes of slow wandering. The oddish stares after them, not responding to Isabelle's question, and lets them move on. It begins to burrow into the ground under a tree, if left there.
Perception + Athletics checks, please.

Isabelle and Cookie walk on, following after Chester and leaving the Oddish behind. If it didn't want to come with them, then it would be best to leave it alone. Your group walks and chats for most of the early morning, until the vague fog and mist begins to clear up in the brightening sun. The trees start to thin out, until you're more walking in a flat grassland with a few trees rather than a thick forest. Chester pauses a few times to sniff around, and at one point pauses, digging in some bushes until he reveals a few brightly colored berries! He seems unwilling to part with one of them, but holds out the other two to Isabelle.
He doesn't seem willing to stop just yet--you get the feeling you're getting close to his destination as his pace picks up, though, and it's not much longer until you begin to hear the sloshing of water on rocks! You walk past a few more trees and find yourselves on the shore of a lake. It's wide and round, so far across that at the furthest point, you can't really make out the individual trees--just a sort of blur of browns and greens. The water itself is crisp, cool, and and so clear that you can see far out into the lake, all the way to the bottom as far as you can see--and brightly colored fish dart around in the sunlit water--orange ones and brown ones and one that's a pure gold color, a few blue ones...and a few things that don't really look like the fish you're used to, that's for sure.
[Isabelle gains two Oran Berries!]

Upon seeing the lake, Isabelle lets out a sigh of relief. While she isn't the most accomplished survivalist, she did know what people need to survive. She could get some food with her fishing rod, they could scavenge for supplies in the woods, and the lake could be used as a water source. Camping around here would definitely be a good idea.
Before detailing her plan though, Isabelle hugs Chester and gives Cookie a pat on the head.
"Good job you two! You both did great. I know you're probably sick of keeping an eye out, Cookie, so I'll let you take a break." She says, pressing the bells on her wrist to recall the dog moments after.
Isabelle then turns her attention back to Jack. "So, um, if it's alright, I have a plan we could try. I could try and fish up something for us to eat tonight while you go gather some more supplies! That is, if you don't mind staying around this area..."

Jack looks around, humming curiously. "No, sounds good!" He says in response to her question as he walks towards the lake. "I was ....born...somewhere like this. I like it." He spins around, looking at everything, and takes a step back onto the lake. Under his foot, the water hardens with an audible crack of cold--and then that plate of ice immediately breaks under his weight and sinks into the water, sending the pale boy flailing and falling on his butt in the mud and water with an expression of intense surprise. He ends up almost on his back, leaning on his elbows and dripping with mud clinging to his pants.
"Oh. It usually holds," He says faintly--before bursting out laughing so hard that he lets himself flop back in the water--only to rise again sputtering when it /just/ comes up over his face. At the lake's shore, Santa is watching with an expression of unimpressed impatience.
"Yeah, I'll, uh. I'll find supplies," He eventually says, stumbling out of the lake. He looks around, admiring the steady grass shore. "Might be a good place to set up camp until we can figure this whole thing out."

Isabelle runs over to the shore as Jack falls, reaching out her hand to try and help him up as he splashes around. "Are you alright?" She asks, stifling a laugh. After the boy finds his way out of the lake, Isabelle nods. "I was thinking the same thing! Good luck finding supplies!"Before sitting down to start fishing, Isabelle checks her pockets for some bait, before realizing she has none! She scavenges around in the wet, muddy shore, looking for a worm or something similar to use as bait. Of course I forgot to add bait :/
