The sun rises, bringing with it a renewed sense of optimism and purpose. Team Tempest seems so far away now, it's almost like what happened yesterday was a dream! You also notice that your Pokemon are fully healed. Roy must've done that during the night while you slept. Now, a (somewhat) grand goal awaits you: to explore these ruins, and unlock whatever secrets that they may hold.

Helen checks the lobby to see if Audino is finished playing Teddy Bear yet, before turning to the others. "Rise and shine campers! I wanna see if there are any shops in this camp before we go ruin diving. Now that we have money and all..."

Shako stretches as Helen says he good mornings. Morning Helen, what were you thinking of getting at the shop? As he is saying this he is rummaging through the duffel bag sent by the professor to see what was sent. Wow the Professor really sent a lot of gear eh? She must know we will need it for our ruin run today. He grabs one of the coils of rope, and slings it over his torso and then puts his bag on.
Well I'm ready when you are. Do you know where we will meet Rufus today?

"Perhaps some more Pokeballs." Helen shrugs, "Laurel didn't send nearly enough of those. If we can't find Rufus by the time I'm done shopping, we can check the trees where he turned up last night."

As you mention Rufus, you catch a glimpse of him walking into town, followed by his Vespiquen, heading straight for the ruins. It seem like he'll be meeting you there. Helen's Audino, upon seeing its Trainer awake, gently sets the sleeping children aside before trundling up to Helen and giving her a big good-morning hug.

Shako sees Rufus head towards the ruins, Well lets ask Roy if there is a shop nearby before we set out. He starts looking around the center to see if he can find him.

"Didn't we see a shop yesterday? Before the whole fight with Team Tempest?" A voice interjects, having just come out of their room. Jamie smiles at his friends. "Good morning guys. sorry I'm late. I'm sure there were four buildings near the Pokemon Center, one of which must be a shop. Let's go check it out," he says. Despite looking rather calm and relaxed, Jamie is actually very eager to start exploring the ruins.

Roy seems to be asleep behind his desk. Clearly, he's had a long night. On the upside, his efforts weren't in vain. On the monitor above his desk, you see that several of his Pokemon patients have been given back to their trainers, freeing up four spaces, in case they're needed. Roy's Pokemon are lying next to him, sound asleep. Outside, the shops are beginning to open. There appears to be an assayer, an occult shop, a PokeMart, a pharmacy, and a travel shop.

Helen, assuming that standard goods at standard prices can be found at the Pokemart and Pharmacy, resolves to check out the Occult Shop first. Before entering, she pulls the Crystal Tablet out of her bag and photographs it from all angles, as she might decide to sell it if she can get a reasonable offer.
Putting the tablet away, the young trainer then enters the store, and takes a good hard look at both the stock and the shopkeep.

Shako reaches into his wallet, looking at the money they had received and thinks on what he may need for the ruin excursion. I think I'm going to head to the PokeMart really quick, I'll meet you at the ruin entrance when you are ready.
He then begins to walk out the Pokemon Center towards the store.

OOC Since the characters are splitting up, this post is divided into two distinct sections. Respond to your section only, please. And don't metagame. Helen The inside of the occult shop is cramped, shelves overflowing with useless nick-knacks and occult paraphernalia. The lights are turned unnecessarily low, and the scent of incense in the air is so heavy it's almost overpowering. With your occult education, you can tell that the vast majority of this stuff is just useless junk, more likely to lead you to a bad end than actually provide any protection. Behind the counter is a woman garbed in black, one who looks like she recently escaped from the local nut house. "Welcome to my little shop of wonders," she says, a crazed, toothy grin spreading over her face. "My name is Anita. What can I interest you in?" Shako The PokeMart is fairly standard, as far as available supplies go. PokeBalls, Potions, and other healing items line the shelves neatly. It doesn't look like it ran into any trouble with Team Tempest, which is odd, because a criminal team like them ought to have pillaged a place like this. A nervous-looking, balding, middle-aged man pokes his head out from behind a shelf. "Huh? Oh, hey! A customer! Hi, I'm Jerry, welcome, take a look around, lemme know if you need anything!"

Helen's face makes no attempt to hide her contempt or confusion. How was this woman even in business? She doubted the researchers who live and work around the ruins would be dumb enough to buy any of the crap on display. "I dunno... just browsing. Looks like you keep the good stuff hidden. Guess I'll just have to ferret it out..." Helen sighs, and kneels down to open her bag and retrieve her dowsing rod. Standing up, Helen holds the device, doing her best to show proper form and demonstrate that she is not just some mark who can be scammed with a cheap trinket. Shako looks at all the wares of the PokeMart, Good morning Sir, I'm Shako. I will let you know when I decide. So many good options.
He looks around the shop some more before turning back to Jerry. Umm excuse me, would you happen to have a pokeball kit? As well as some basic balls?

Jamie stood outside the stores indecisively as the others headed inside to buy some goods. He hadn't really thought about what he would need, but now that he did, he figured he would need a bunch of Pokeballs to catch Pokemon with, some basic restoratives to heal up his Pokemon in a pinch or return them to consciousness if necessary and... that was really it. The shop to choose then, would of course be the PokeMart.
With sure steps, Jamie strode in after Shako.

Helen Helen's occult insight alerts her to the fact that all of the stuff in here is junk. Either this proprietor is a complete moron, or she's hiding something. Additionally, she recalls the plate she's holding- judging by its resonance, it's a Zap Plate!
Shako+Jamie Jamie enters the mart just in time to hear the shopkeeper say "Uh, oh-oh no, we don't have the kit here, but we've got p-plenty of Basic Balls left! W-w-w-we had some Great Balls, but those Team Tempest guys bought them all." He shakes his head in wonder. "Strangest thing I ever saw. They were very careful not to damage anything and to pay exactly what was owed."

Helen sighs. She didn't have time to deal with the crazy idiot lady. Perhaps she would come back with Jamie after delving through the ruins; He seemed to be good at figuring people out. "Alright. You have fun with your Junk Anita. I don't have time to get to the bottom of you right now. Perhaps I'll come back later." OOC:By Zap Plate, do you mean the engraved Tablet the audino found for Helen? Or something in the shopkeeper's possession? Marching out of the store, Helen puts her rod away, and heads over to check out the assayer.

As Helen moves to leave, Anita holds up her hand, her demented grin growing wider. "Alright, alright," she says. "I see you really want the good stuff." She pulls a piece of paper out from behind the counter. "My final offer: a Cleanse Tag for $500." OOC The Plate Helen is holding is a Zap Plate.

Helen pauses in consideration. There very well could be ghosts in the ruins, but a single Cleanse Tag wasn't likely to make a whole lot of difference in fighting them. "No thanks," Helen answers with a smile after some thought, "but it is nice to know you are at least talented enough to make those. If I find anything interesting in the ruins today that I don't want for myself, I might come in and see if you are interested in buying."

Jamie frowns a little at the mention of Team Tempest. Those were Darius' goons, no doubt. If he's correct then the other side of Team Tempest should be much rowdier and criminally active. The young man resists the urge to shake his head. Zealots and criminals mixed up in one team, what a mess.
Jamie considers how many Basic Balls he should take and that's when he remembers Professor Laurel's care package. With the amount of things in there, once they're split up between the group, they should mostly last until the end of the little expedition. There were five Basic Balls in that duffel bag, those could be split up 2-1-2, so I should probably get some more Basic Balls. Jamie smiles slightly at the shopkeeper. "Well, I'll take two Basic Balls then," he says.

Jamie "O-o-of course," the shopkeeper says. He pulls two Basic Balls off of the shelves. "That'll be $400, p-please."
Helen The assayer's office has many shelves on the wall, and each is filled with odd-looking artifacts, presumably recovered from the ruins. Beneath each artifact is a price tag. Shards, similar to the ones you are able to dowse, are worth about $50 each, while larger artifacts, such as a 6-inch tall jade statuette depicting a woman kneeling in prayer (or pleading) is worth $300. Top price, however, goes to what seems to be the head from a statue resting on the floor behind a desk cluttered with tools of the assayer's trade. About the same height as you, the eyes appear to be red stone, but at a second glance you realize they are in fact gemstones- ruby or garnet, you can't tell which- each as big as your head. The fine details depicting a woman of inhuman beauty still remain- so lifelike, in fact, that you believe this statue could come to life and begin speaking all on its own. This one goes for a whopping $100,000,000. One artifact- a six-foot tall sarcophagus- has no price tag, and leans heavily against the wall next to the statue head. There doesn't seem to be anyone in the office, though a door in the back presumably leads to living quarters.
