Adventure Thread - Group A

Tiki pops up, runs over, and stares at one of the balls. She looks up at Rei with a blank, surprised stare. If Tiki was out here alone, she would still be hunting for these ponyta, but Rei was always there. Once again Rei was there to give her another great pokemon, and all Tiki had done is give her attitude for the last day. Tiki start tearing up, she takes one of the balls, and hugs Rei tightly. "R-rei....T-T-Thank you...I'm s-sorry for being angry yesterday...*sniff*"

Tiki shakes her head. "You came out to help me, so I was wrong to get mad. I probably would've gotten hurt if you weren't around. I'm sorry, Rei." She sniffles, and buries her face in Rei's soft kimono.

Tiki looks up at Rei, and tilts her head. She has no idea what Rei means by that, but smiles anyways. "Okay. Whatever you want, I'll do it! I promise!"

Clay winces as Red Child runs afoul of an angry Rapidash and skitters out of the way. He collects the poor Growlithe up in his arms again with a sigh. "Sorry, buddy. Guess we need a bigger pack for that to work, huh?" To be frank, Clay can't really keep up with Red Child as well as he might want, much less a Ponyta. He needs to work on that...

He looks up in surprise when Rei reports that she's caught two of them... and offers one to him. "Huh, really? I mean, you're the one who caught 'em, but sure! I think they're expecting me to have a bunch of Fire-types, anyways, most of the Branch barely has anything else." Pulling out Sandy did a lot for dealing with the initial tests, after all.

He sighs and stretches his arms out. "I was thinking... ought to get some training in while we're down here. I gotta show Snivy I'm gonna be a good trainer, and we were running around so much yesterday he didn't get a lot to do. Since we're down on the shore here with a bunch of Water-types, might be a good place to start for him." Clay's stomach rumbles. "Um. After breakfast."

Tiki looks around, but doesn't catch any sign of the dog/kitty. "Yeah...I don't know when we'll see 'em again..." Tiki's tummy rumbles this time. "Uugghhh...Breakfast does sound like a good idea."

And now it's food time! Clay settles down to eat and feed his Pokémon. Poor Red Child gets a little extra as an apology for plans not working out. It's not the poor little guy's fault that he ran into a Rapidash, after all - the darn thing's twice his size and considerably meaner on top of it.

"Well, what I meant was I was thinking about looking for wild Pokémon to battle down here for a little bit." Between the rambling structure of the sentence and the fact that part of it is spoken with Clay's mouth full, it may not be entirely clear. "I mean, we can head back now if you wanna but this seems like a good place to train. Or maybe we'll run into something along the way."

Though he's slightly worried about the number of Fire-types that live out here on the plains, since among other things he's thinking about training Snivy.

"Well ok, I won't stop you. But I am out of pokeballs and my roster is rather cramped as it is right now. I think I'll just worry about my already-grown team."

Rei sips water and eats some breakfast of her own.

Barring any objections from the group, once Clay's finished his breakfast he wanders off along the shoreline a little way for training. He may also just be trying to get away from the smell of the Durin Berry.

Seeing as Snivy didn't get a chance to show his stuff in battle yesterday, Clay focuses a little more on him today, too. Sandy gets a nice workout splashing along the tideline, and Flower... he's still working on Flower's speed, though a little more warily now that he's been reminded of the weird effect her flame has on people. "Gotta remind Rei about dealing with that once we head back to town."

Fan has wandered off to dig through the grass while Clay gives some of the others more focus, and returns with yet another spiky-looking berry. She makes a bit of a face as she drops it in front of Clay and runs off to wash her paws in the ocean. It's spicy enough that she feels the heat just carrying it. "Wow, you okay, Fan?" Clay picks the berry up gingerly and stows it in his bag.

He wanders back over to the group. "Well, if me and Tiki are planning on training here for a little while... we'll meet up back here when it's time to head home?" Since the camp's right near where the stream reaches the ocean it's an easy landmark to find. "Oh, right, uh, Rei? It's not as fancy as the one you used up, but I owe you a ball, so here." He offers Rei one of the basic apricorn balls he bought a couple of days ago so she's at least not completely ball-less. "Gotta figure out a way to make up the difference sometime, I know."

Assuming there are no objections to his plan, Clay wanders off along the shoreline with Snivy in tow, looking for something to challenge his prospective companion's capabilities.

"Oh thank you Clay, but it's not really- Oh he's gone."

And in addition, before she even has a chance to say anything to Tiki, she's handed another ball before Tiki runs off. Rei just merely shakes her head.

"...It really isn't needed. I doubt I'd want any more pokemon to join me anytime anyway. I've got so many and I don't like leaving some behind if I don't have to..."

Rei merely sighs before sending out her current team to train up and make a couple tags for herself. She merely waits at the campsite, enjoying the nice day, and her current party is all out lazing around, save for Sheru, who's always hiding (Usually on Rei's head) when Shinpuru is present. Although this time Sheru is content with sitting in the protection of Rei's lap, as he knows Rei will protect him.
