The boat journey has been exciting and long. Rumour has it that the boats have been circling the oceans to confuse any as to the location of Neo Island, whilst others said it was so that the trainers from each region could get to know some of their companions better. Either way, nearly 200 trainers were loaded onto each boat- 160 from Kanto and Johto with another 170 each from Hoenn, Sinnoh, Kalos and Unova. They had embarked at their regional ports and had now been travelling for at least a week at sea. There had been plenty of entertainments for the trainers, most likely put on to be certain that they didn’t cause any trouble.
Now, the boats were sliding into the harbour in New Pallet, the only settlement in all of Neo Island, it was crammed to bursting with the ships: the S.S. Anne; S.S. Tidal; S.S. Spiral; Royal Unova and the S.S Joie de Mer; each of them mooring up ready to disembark the trainers for their new adventure in a brand new region. A large pavilion had been set up for them at the end of the piers and they were all asked to wait there as Professor Oak readied to give a welcome address.
When they were all assembled, Professor Oak cleared his throat and spoke over the PA system, “Welcome trainers, to this exciting new venture. I am going to keep this very short as I am certain that you want to get started on your adventures. Suffice it to say, we want you to explore this island and send up lots of data back, capture many Pokémon and prepare this island for when we open it up to the greater scope of trainers. In a few moments you will be allowed into New Pallet and will receive your Pokédex-Nav. I would suggest that you head to Pokémon Services to find your bunk and recuperate, explore the town and then perhaps see what things Professor Sage is looking to investigate specifically. These missions will help us to develop our knowledge of the island. From there, explore, find what you can and develop your skills and knowledge to their utmost!” he says before moving away to allow each of the new trainers to pass by the established desks and pick up the highly advanced new Pokédexes, each fitted with a camera, GPS and other recording devices as well as communications hardware that until now had only been available as many separate devices across the world.
The town is nothing impressive, simple, mostly pre-fabricated buildings designed to provide spaces for the trainers to requisition for whatever endeavours they were trying to complete. For now, only a few were open- the laboratory, Pokémon Services and the harbour, the power station and transmitter tower were clearly off-limits, though they too were operating and presented more permanent looking structures. The mid—morning sun glinted off of the various building roofs, highlighting their metal nakedness and showing the blue of the lab, red of Services and the green of the power station as the only true variety in this piece of beach-side grassland.

Genki was confined to a single solitary boat for to long, in fact he began to feel restless after the first hour. He spent nearly all his time on board on deck, wearing grooves into the boards of the ship, soaking up the sun and enjoying the salty spray of the ocean. His brother Cole didn't want to come outside, perhaps he was defining secret messages in the woodgrains below deck. Genki did bring down a pair of sandwiches, and the pair ate and discussed with anticipation, what wonders might await them on Neo Island. After eating, Genki made his way back up top and made a game of racing his Chinchou against other trainers water pokemon along the side of the boat. While gazeing out at the ocean he could see boats everywhere, finally, Neo Island reared it's head over the Horizon.
"Cole, we're here! You gotta see!" he shouted into an open doorway leading to the shadows of the ship.
Once on the Island, he saw him, THE Professor Oak, welcoming him to this elusive island that held so much to be discovered! When he finished his welcome speech, Genki rushed to the front of the pack to be one of the first to get a new Poked-Nav and attempt to shake Oak's hand in gratitude. Afterwards, he made sure Cole got off the boat and everything was going well.
To Cole he said "I'm going to drop of my bags and claim a spot to bunk up. Then I'm going to go for a run on the beach and see what I see. Try not to run off into the woods never to be seen again, mom would be so mad if I lost you on the first day. You're welcome to join me," looking up at the bright sun, "yeah well..."
After the exchange with his brother, Genki called out his Trapinch and made his way towards pokemon Services.

Aiden sat on the deck of the S.S. Anne, watching the other trainers trying to be the first on the boat to see Neo Island. He ran his fingers through his Growlithe, Kiba's, fur while the young Fire Pokemon sprawled across his legs on the deck chair. As he listened to the chattering among the other trainers someone squealed excitedly pointing at the horizon. Kiba opened and opened an eye and gave a disapproving short bark before yawning himself awake.
"Come on, Kiba. Aren't you excited? We have a new place to explore and new friends to make," chuckled Aiden as he grabbed his pack from the ground next to him while he stood up. He held out Kiba's Pokeball and recalled the Pokemon, putting the ball back on his belt as he joined the trainers looking out over the ocean to the newly discovered island.
When the trainers were allowed off of the boat, he pressed himself against a wall to avoid getting crushed by over-excited trainers who couldn't wait to get off of the ship. Once the crowd thinned a little more, Aiden made his way down the ramp to the dock where he could just barely see the top of Professor Oak's head while he spoke.
Aiden could feel the rush to start a new adventure creeping into him, as if he had been given a sudden burst of energy. Once the Professor finished talking, he began to slow and arduous task of actually getting into New Pallet. With that many trainers just getting off of the boats, it might take while, thought Aiden as he started looking around the crowd to see if there were any familiar faces to him.

"I'm coming, I'm coming..." Cole yawned . He was up extraordinarily late last night, studying the stars while others slept. It's not that Cole wasn't excited to finally arrive at Neo Island, in fact he was nearly overflowing with anticipation, he just wasn't able to summon up the energy to look the part. With all his belongings packed the night before, Cole needed only to recall Rue and Wisp before setting out. Gustav remained out of his Pokeball, taking wing as soon as they were outside to keep a watchful eye above. It didn't take long to find Genki buzzing to and fro as the ship's passengers prepared to disembark.
Cole knew his brother would lose it at sight of Professor Oak. Truth be told, Cole would have a fair amount of his own questions for the professor should they ever meet face to face, but compared to Genki's adoration, his would be more academic in nature. Either way, Cole listened while the Pokemon Professor's welcoming speech gave the gathered trainers an idea of where to go and what to do. He figured it best to follow along with Genki, at least so far as claiming a bunk and acquiring their Dex-Navs. After that maybe he could take a little nap...

Charles spent the first part of the trip bouncing between all the different entertainments put on for the trainers. But as time went on he spent more time as close to the bow as he could get, leaning over the side, trying to catch a glimpse of pokemon in the sea or the island on the horizon. Humpty hovered real close, unbothered by the sea spray, watching over Charles. Other than a Wailord surfacing for a moment, so amazing, the sea was calm. Charles was teasing Humpty by leaning over the edge just a bit, when he say a dark speck on the horizen. He waited on baited breath until... "Wooooooooo!" The island was in sight!
Charles rushed to the unloading area and waited to be one of the first ones off. He lost to a purple haired girl named Betty, but wasn't bummed. This was the island! Charles didn't stop smiling all throughout Oak's speach. When Oak was done, he waited a bit to get a Pokedex-Nav to avoid getting crushed, then, when he got his pokedex, headed over to the Pokemon Services with Humpty floating just above his head. "Can't wait to get started Humpty!"

The new town truly was heaving, there were so many trainers disembarking and rushing to get their Dex-Navs as well as to claim places in services as well as to head straight off into the wilderness- several seemingly ignoring the advice that they had been given. Professor Oak gave a few minor greetings, then slinked off very carefully to retire back to the laboratory where he was no doubt staying temporarily. Services was left open and free for them all to visit, being one of the few building that was currently actually running and providing anywhere for the trainers to go that wasn't wilderness. Inside the building was a strange mixture of features- a double-spaced desk from a Pokémon Centre where two nurses operated behind it already. To the left was a smaller desk that wasclearly more of a Mart function with a large number of boxes behind the counter and a price list next to it. Finally, to the right was a set of double-doors labelled 'Dormitory' where many of the trainers were currently entering and leaving.

Genki was one one let lucky few who got to shake hands with Professor Oak and exchanged brief gratitude and pleasantries, before he excused himself and made his way back to the labs.
Upon entering the service building, Genki perused the list of items for sale and their prices, just to make mental note of what would be available. Next, he hustled through the doors of the dormitory and make a b-line for the back. Other trainers were exchanging pleasantries and looking around, sizing up the bunks. As he weaved through the bodies, he saw the bunk in the back corner was devoid of bags or bodies. With an ark as high as the ceiling with allow, he threw two pokeballs. One Pokeball landed on the top bunk and the other on the bottom, sliding back to the wall, and releasing their contents. A Chinchou appeared on the top bunk and a Ralts on the bottom; those beds were now claimed.
Once he made his way over to the bunks, he tossed his bag at the foot of the top bunk and lifted his Trapinch onto the bottom bed. 'This will be perfect, no winow aaginst the back wall, Cole will lover it!' He thought.
With some minor modifications and fighting with his sheets on the top bunk, Genki draped the cloth down the long exposed side of the bed. Rummaging though his bag, he located and removed and bag of trail mix, emergency rations for the trip over from mom. He hopped up on his bed, legs dangling, as he opened the bag and began to share it with his mons. 'It's not a basement or a cave, but it's as close as we're like to get... at least until we set out into the the wilderness,' he affirmed, 'I'll wait for Cole, make sure he finds his spot, then I'll go for that run.'

Heading towards Pokemon Services, Aiden had his Dex-Nav in hand and now he just had to try and find a bunk. He made note of the nurses behind the counter, hoping to remember to offer his help later once he got settled in. Checking in and making his way to the dormitory, he shuffled along to the back towards two bunks where he saw a Chinchou and a Ralts on the bunks. He looks around and finds another bunk nearby and he goes to toss his bag on it.
Looking towards the trainer for the Ralts and Chinchou Aiden smiles and gives a small wave, "Hello. How are you? I'm Aiden Martin, your Pokemon look great."

Cole slinked through the crowd as inconspicuously as possible, going so far as to accidentally spook the attendant handing out the Dex-Navs when he appeared seemingly out of nowhere. He mumbled a thank you and set on his way out, passing by dozens of others on their way to claim some locale or another for their own. I wonder if anybody has taken up Tutoring Moves already. Then again, do I really want to sit behind a desk for hours at a time and have strangers and their Pokemon waltz in whenever they feel like it? He'd have to inquire about the hours and payment for services like that later.
Despite taking some time to talk to the Professor, Genki still had a head start on Cole, what with all his energy and running everywhere. By the time Cole made it to the Dormitory, Genki was manhandling the sheets of a bunk. Cole first suspected that his younger brother had forgotten how to make a bed, but soon realized Genki's actual plan. Cole smiled, albeit wearily. Even on the island of excitement and adventure, Genki still takes the time to look out for me.
He quickly crawled into the "Cavern of Darkened Softness" that was provided for him and nested within the blankets. With a nod of thanks to his brother Cole released Rue to play with hers. He would call Wisp out when it got quieter, and he suspected Gustav would be busy memorizing the layout of the settlement. Now that we're finally here, on the island of my Destiny, I really should be ready to hurl myself into the wilds and their mysteries. ...But I'm soooo Comfortable.
When the rugged man stopped by to compliment Genki's Pokemon, Cole decided to go against his instincts and step out of his comfort zone. Life here would be a lot less secluded than Solaceon, and he would have to get used to it. Cole poked his head out from behind the draped sheets. "They are, he takes very good care of them."

Looking at the prices in the mart, it was clear that the basic supplies were all priced competitively and managed to be the same cost as the rest of the world, despite being completely out of the way and with little chance to actually get the supplies through to them- it must be the work of the International League. That said, many of the rarer things that might be found in larger settlements simply weren't here- that would require a stronger industry being set up by the trainers who were already here.
Several trainers had already claimed bunks and were resting, though many more had made their claims and disappeared from the building already, heading out on missions and other excursions to explore the island and brave the dangers that it presented.

Charles rushed to the Pokemon Services building. He was disappointed he didn't get to talk to Prof. Oak, but it was still cool to hear him. He made note of the layout of the collection of buildings, noting the fastest ways to get to the Poke Services building in case of emergencies. Stepping inside, Charles was drawn to the "mart" first, happily noting that nothing seemed to be over priced, Good, I'll be just fine as far as supplies go.
Sighing a bit, he heading to the room marked Dormitory. It'll be good to set up base here as least initially. It might be a good idea to find someone to explore with, you never know when a compainion will come in handy. Avoiding bumping into any trainers leaving, Charles sets his stuff down on a random lower bunk, so he can put stuff underneath. Sitting down and starting to examine the Pokedex-Nav he glances around and sees a guy slip into a bed covered by a sheet Huh, I wonder if he has a pokemon like Sableye or Cacturne? He tilts his head a bit, lost in thought.

Aiden smiles towards the person who just stuck his head out from behind the curtain of sheets and nods, "They look happy and healthy. If you guys need any help with healing or anything, I am a medic, studying to become a Pokemon doctor. What brings you guys to the island?"
He leans back on the claimed bottom bunk and takes lets out his Growlithe and Happiny. Growlithe yawns widely and sits on the bed, watching the trainers talking. Hope, the small pink Pokemon worked its way into Aiden's warm arms and cuddled against him.

Aiden shakes Genki's hand, "Pleased to meet you." He chuckles at the competitive rates comment, "I will have to remember that. Do you guys have a plan yet for what you're going to do while you're here?" He leans forward on the bed letting Hope sit next to him. "I'm hoping to help out traveling trainers whenever I can."

"I was just about to hit the beach for a run and see what i see." Genki began recalling his pokemon, "I wanna stretch my legs, and learn more about this island. My pokemon are more of the climb trees, dig holes, and swim types; your Growlith looks like he'd enjoy some exercise, you're welcome to join," extending the invitation to Aiden and his party.
Genki will go in for some pets on the Growlith tentatively, making eye contact with Aiden, then Growlith for approval, and if given will do so.

"That reminds me..." Cole mumbles to himself, retreating back into the Cavern of Slumber. After a fair amount of shuffling around, he reemerges with a stack of narrow papers and a slender brush, already laden with ink. Carefully, Cole sets about marking the top sheet with delicate precision. Each stroke adds to a lexigraphic character with each character adding to a growing pair of columns. His apparent lethargy seems to fade as he focuses intently on the task at hand, temporarily ignoring the outside world. When finished, he lays the paper on the trunk at the foot of the bed to dry. Cole then reloads the brush and returns to the papers, duplicating the process. This time however, it seems he is already focused enough to maintain a connection to the outside world. "If you ever need to take care of a less... natural debilitating effect on your Pokemon, or need to keep Ghosts out of your tent-" Cole stops for a moment to concentrate on a series of interwoven lines. "I make Cleanse Tags for a nominal fee." Finished, he lays the second tag next to the first and gingerly packs away his brush.
(( Using the Tag Scribe Edge twice. ))

"I was thinking of checking in with Professor Sage. I suppose the can wait until after your jog." Cole ponders. "Might help avoid the crowds." He quietly adds. At that, Cole weighs his options internally while idly watching his brother reach out to the nearby Growlithe.4d6·4d6

As they talked, Cole realised that his focus must have waned, whilst one of his cleanse tags was of a pretty supreme quality, his other was mediocre at best, it might work in a pinch, but only a pinch. As it stood, they were one of the few groups of trainers left in the dorms now, many had gone out to see the island, the rest seemed to be sleeping, perhaps they were hoping for a nocturnal excursion?

Aiden nods as Growlithe perks up and tilts its head to the side and leans up to sniff Genki's hand before licking it. Kiba smiles and gives a gentle bark before standing up to stretch, he leans around and looks at the other trainer with the tags.
"That's neat," says Aiden with a smile. "I don't usually charge for my assistance. Just like making sure people are safe and healthy. Though I may take you up on those offers gentlemen."

"I'm off, again, nice to meet you!" Genki said as he began to leave.
With his feet picking up the pace, he made his way outside to look around. Breathing in deeply, the rich air, he made his way through New Pallet and off to the coast to the west.
Genki gazed about, taking in the sights and gaining the lay of the land, 'perhaps,' he wondered, 'I'll even see some wild pokemon.'

Cole inspected the drying Cleanse tags and frowned. Huh, guess that's what I get for not concentrating... "I don't charge much, less than any shop I've seen stocking them at any rate." He regarded Aiden, feeling embarrassed at his comparitive lack of altruism. "And I can't say many places do. Not a very high demand item."
As Genki abruptly excused himself to run off for the shore, Cole briefly panicked. "I, uh, should look after my brother. It's late and all. New place, could be dangerous. Gotta go!" Cole flung off his sheets in a hurry, recalled Rue, and hurried out the door in a flurry of movement.
Genki! Why did you have to leave me alone with strangers!?
