Your time on board the Stolen Janissary has been surprisingly uneventful. No storms, reefs or other possible calamities have arisen. Instead you've fallen into a comfortable routine. Captain Barbarossa incessantly compares his maps to satellite imagery, first mate Dorothea keeps the ship on course, Bosun Swain yells at you as you learn the ins and outs of sailing and the twins alternate the three lookout shifts with you guys.
The peace of a Thursday afternoon two months after you set sail is shattered when one of the twins yells - "Land ho!" Immediately Barbarossa bursts out of his quarters, telescope in hand. He dashes to the bow and peers through it. "Finally. The Golvyd Isles! I know the reports said they were elusive, but we should have sighted them over a week ago." He turns and addresses the four of you. "Lillith! Jet! Keith! Sanny! Get your gear! We'll be landing in an hour and the four of you are with me!"

The past couple of months at sea gave Keith a lot of time to reflect on how he got here. Whenever he wasn't on lookout, he thought a lot about what might happen once they reached their destination. Despite Keith's excitement to explore a land completely unknown to him, their was still a hint of trepidation over their future. While he trusted the Captain to know what he was doing, he wasn't sure how much trust he should put in the Captain in general. However, these thoughts were quickly dispelled as Keith was usually the first person to want to trust somebody (a habit that could cause him trouble in the future, he could admit, but one that hadn't steered him wrong yet).
However, standing here in front of the captain with land in sight, Keith's trepidation that he had felt the past couple of months quickly turned into a sort of nervous excitement. The type you feel whenever you have a major undertaking in front of you, but you don't yet know how you're going to confront in. Nodding in response to the captain's beckon for him and the 3 others he had recruited for this journey, Keith just asks "Captain, I'm not sure if you've yet mentioned why we were specifically searching for this place. I mean, it does seem like somewhere that the Guilds may not have wanted to touch yet, but might that not be for a good reason? Not that I'm not eager to explore, I'm just curious is all."

"Any new, unexplored land will be full of dangerous things. It may be that they are simply focusing their efforts on the mainland for now. We should focus our efforts on getting set up and entrenched before they decide to come exploring out here. It will make us harder to drive off in the future."

At the signal for the land and the calling of his name, Jet tousled out of bed after a late night of sleeping, messy hair thankfully swallowed up by his bandanna.
"What was that boss?" he mumbled, rubbing his eyes to make sure what was in front of them was real. In the far horizon, even without a telescope, he could see just the beginning smidgen of a piece of land. Once he confirmed that little blot in the distance, he swiftly nabbed the telescope from the captain, giving a quick and somewhat excited, "Let me see that" he climbed up the crow's nest and gave a peer through the looking glass himself.
After a few seconds of staring, he slowly brought the telescope back down to his waist as a big smile creeped on his face, which suddenly seemed much more alert and awake than a minute ago. "Oi, we've found land indeed boys. WOOOO!" he shouted, in a jovial mood for the first time in weeks. After all, Jet doesn't quite do too well with the sea, so these last two months have been hard on him. Now that land is in site though, he could almost forget all about that.
He quickly climbed back down the crow's nest and ran up to Barbarossa, throwing an arm around his shoulders, "Shit; looks like we really did it, boss. Cheers!" he laughed for a moment, before realizing he was still holding the telescope. "Oh, here you are cap'n" he chimed, handing the telescope back to him.

Sanny stirs a bit from his drunken slumber. "Oi?.... We're somewhere now? Here here let's just.. Oh shite.." Sanny runs to the side and starts puking for a few seconds, his Honedge patting him on the back, attempting to comfort its master for a moment. "That... URP... Outta the way... I guess we better get onto this shall we lads?" Sanny's hair flopping over his face, some of it partially soaked with whatever the hell he's been putting into his body, a huge monster of a grin on his face.

"Well lad 'n lass, we're here fer two reasons. The first is that the Guilds have only mapped the north western part of the continent. The second is that the Golvyd Isles move around. There's been 3 fly-overs of this area done and they had a different shape and were in a different place each time." The Captain explains, taking the telescope off of Jet and peering through it again.
"It'll be a heck of a mystery to solve, and from here we can head to the mainland and set up a proper camp with some experience under our caps and hopefully some treasure to whet our appetite." He turns and pauses as he looks at the four of you. "Any other questions?"

"Not particularly, that was really my only concern." replies Keith, his curiosity satiated. Now that he had found out more about the Golvyd Isles, his excitement had been fully rekindled and raged like a fire in his belly.

"Excellent. Forwards mateys!" Captain Barbarossa says gleefully. The five of you clamber onto the ship's boat and row it onto shore, a large sandy beach studded with greyish-blue stone pillars. Beyond the beach is a thick jungle, a ruined tower of the same blue-grey stone rising up from it.
Looking around you see several pokemon around you. Lumps of stone move, revealing themselves to be Krabby with rocky hides. A large, red-coated Swinub digs at the sand with it's tusks as an azure Elgeyem flits along the water, with wings made from water. Barbarossa immediately steps forwards, grinning as he touches one of the pillars.
"Finally. I knew these islands would have the best haul." He says to himself.

Jet stared wide-eyed around him, sizing up these rare specimens. All he saw was cha-ching! Returning to his usual more intimidating and smooth self, he plopped himself off the boat and onto dry land, making sure to leave his shoes behind so they wouldn't get all sandy. The beach felt nice between his toes anyways.
"I'm gonna start checking these guys out!" he yells back to his team, moving towards the Krabby. Ideally, he'd bag one now and either ship it off when they weren't looking or use it for the rest of their time on the islands. Whatever worked best. Thankfully, he'd been saving up for this trip to gamble on these islands and the new continent, and had a healthy supply of balls to get this thing started.

The swordsman kept his Honedge sheathed for now. "Well well well, this'll be something interestin... So what'dya find Jet my boy?" The young man said with a big smile, figuring he'd try and make one friend at least. Heroes need companions and all that jazz, rock and heavy metal. "If it attacks ya I can cut it up~"

Lilith releases her Butterfree from its ball.
"Come, Butterfree. Let's see what we can find out here of use."
She and Butterfree set off to look for Wilds. Whether for temporary slots to fill out the team or simply things to fight for the experience.

Looking around at the vastly different Pokemon, Keith couldn't help but be astounded at the myriad differences between these and the versions he was used to. Wanting the get a closer look at each, he instead decided to wait where he was on the off chance he frightened any of them of. That doesn't seem to be a concern for Jet though Keith thought to himself as he observed Jet heading off on his own. In order to scope out the area while hopefully not frightening the Pokemon around too badly, Keith decided to take this opportunity to use his Dowsing Rod, to see if there was anything of use in the local area. While doing this, he made sure to keep an eye out for any Pokemon of particular interest. Keith uses his Dowsing Rod. icxk7aZ65d6 Rerolling the 6's 2d6

Jet began to carefully move towards the Krabby when he suddenly heard the voice calling for him. "Sanny?" he turned his torso around to face his teammate, hoping they hadn't scared the Krabby off. It was good to see his teammates weren't too scared of him, not that Sanny really had any reason to with how strong he seemed. Jet may put off a pretty rough vibe, but something told him this wild card was way stronger than he was.
" 'Preciate that man. Why don't 'cha come on down and join me?" he beckons, waving a hand over. It's not like the crew would have any idea of his true intentions: after all, this would simply look like any other capture, or at least Jet hoped so.
"Seems the 'mons here are a bit strange. Figured I'd get a closer look at these Krabby here, maybe even take one in, ya feel?" To be honest, water types were the farthest from Jet's comfort zone, but something told him these Krabby were different in more than just appearance.

As Lillith ventures into the jungle she spots a pair of bright orange Ledyba repeatedly swooping over a small pond surrounded by moss coated rocks and small flowering plants. They seem to be hunting for something. (Roll Perception to determine what)
As Sanny and Jet approach a trio of Krabby, they realise that the crabs have evolved to perfectly mimic the rocks that form the tide pools that are visible in the distance. The three crabs immediately raise their claws to attack - it seems that they've let their habitat for predatory purposes! (They have Init 4 though)
When Keith finally finishes dowsing he looks around, spotting the azure Elgeyem floating just over his shoulder and curiously watching his dowsing rod. Looking at the Elgeyem he realises that it's skin is actually transparent, with large amounts of water visible through the skin. The water streams out from it's back to form it's large, butterfly like wings with smaller jets of water coming from the ends of it's limbs.

Fascinated by this watery Elgeyem Keith reaches out towards it slowly, trying his best not to startle it. "Well," he says to it gently "You're definitely an interesting Pokemon. There certainly aren't any like you were I'm from.". Realising that he may not get many opportunities like this, Keith slowly reaches into his pack to retrieve his notepad. He starts to sketch the Elgeyem and note down whatever he can figure out about it

Raven easily spots a small Bulbasaur hiding among the pond rocks. The pokemon in question has skin the same colour of the surrounding rock, with markings of mossy green. Upon it's back is a dark green stone, shaped roughly like the bulb it normally possesses. The Ledyba turn and come around again, clearly hunting the small pokemon.
The Elgeyem curiously looks back at Keith, at one point creating a miniature, watery duplicate of him by emitting water from it's hands. After a few minutes it flits back to the water and dives in, emerging with much large wings tan before.

Lilith decides she will engage both Pokemon at once. She instructs Butterfree to get into range and use Electroweb on them both. After waiting for the results of this attack, if one of the Pokemon seems weaker than the other, she will pitch a Poke Ball at it. If they don't seem weak enough for that, she'll attack with her longbow.

"They look like they wanna rumble Jet.... Shall we oblige em?" The swordsman said with a smile, unsheathing his honedge. "Might be a good way ta see how tough they are, give us a baseline for the rest of this place right?" Sanny had this psychotically giddy grin on him.

"Looks like we don't have a choice" Jet starts grinning, though he's a tad worried by Sanny's expression. He gently tosses out the pokeball on his hip to let out his Magby. "Let's light it up, Morty"
