"Ah, one moment, I've gotta go get someone."
Walking back down to the docks, Buuta wanders a little ways out yelling for "Beatrice." Soon enough, a little mantyke pops its head up above the water.
"There you are, Beatrice. C'mere, lets get you on the ship so you won't get left behind in the storm." With this, he kneels down and reaches deep into the water to scoop his pokemon partner out. Unfortunately, having recently eaten a Devil Berry, this is a terrible idea. Before he is able to pull Beatrice out of the water he feels the strength begin to leave his body. This catches him by surprise, and he is unable to keep his knees from buckling, pitching him into the sea.
The little mantyke struggles to hold Buuta's head out of the water, but it's clear she can't do this for long!

Jin shakes his head, and was beginning to regret his choice in crew. Not that choice had done much in this situation, as time was still against them. He looked to Murray, nodding. "Do what you need to do Murray. Colt and I will join you in a few moments. We need a heart to heart first. You take the widower and everyone else and get started. This'll just take a minute." With that, Jin pulled Colt to the side, motioning for everyone else to get started on securing their escape. He looked at the man, shaking his head. This man thought he was hot shit, huh... Well, better to air this sooner rather than later, he supposed.
"You said your name was Colt, right? Very impressive, never heard of you. You were arguing with my Quartermaster about drinking. Drinking ALCOHOL. Before a mission where you need to SHOOT. And before you open your mouth, I don't care HOW good of a shot you think you are when you're drunk. What we need right now is everyone's best effort in trying to escape not only the Navy, but at LEAST three pirate crews whose names I actually DO know. And you know what that makes them? More of a threat than you. And again, don't open your mouth, I'm not done talking. We're not even officially a CREW yet, and you're aruging with EVERYONE ELSE over the STUPIDEST shit. I don't care about your pride. No one does but you. Maybe once we're off this island you can show off and people will have a better opinion of you, but right now, all I see is a drunkard blowhard who's outlived his glory days and is pining for them once again. You want me to show respect for you? You want to be a big shot? Fine. Here's how to do that. You PROVE to me, right here and now, that you're actually worth keeping on the boat Murray and I are about to steal. Otherwise, I'm dropping you, and everyone else who proves unhelpful on the next port, no questions asked. I am the captain of this ship, and as such everyone's lives rest on my shoulders and decision making skills. If I think you're going to put MY crew in danger due to negligence, drinking, or showboating, I WILL NOT hesitate to do what I have to do to keep my crew safe. And right now, that means getting ALL of us off this island. We succeed and make it to safe waters, MAYBE you can drink. I don't care how cranky you are, you're more useful to me sober and a good shot. Now. Do you have any questions?" He levels his gaze at the man, clearly not entertaining any more of the useless squabbling the members of his prospective crew have been doing lately. It was all business now, and survival. No more games or jokes.

Colt got up and allowed himself to be led over to where Jin wanted to have his chat and didn't try to interrupt him so much as once, instead standing with his thumbs tucked in his belt as he waited for his prospective 'Captain' to finish his rant.
After a half a moment of mutual staring, Colt's demeanor cracked. He couldn't hold it any longer...
"Drunk? You think this is drunk?," he asked rhetorically, a pfft escaping as Colt tried to stifle his laughter. "Outlived my glory days?," he repeated, more stifled laughter escaping. "I'm like twenty, hahaha," he said, losing it for a moment and genuinely laughing. He quickly got it under control again, however.
"I'm so-heh, I'm sorry, I know, you're trying to be serious and intimidating and Captain-y, ugh," he said, clearing his voice and at last reigning it in.
"Look, I get it, you don't know me, you've got no reason to trust me, just like I don't know you, and I've got no reason to trust you. Apparently that pile of crap and a good idea won't buy me a bottle," he said very nonchalantly with a shrug. "But if you are expecting me to serve you up a heaping plate of 'Sir Sandwiches', well, don't hold your breath, Captain," he said, emphasizing the last word. "Like you said, respect has to be earned, right?"
"As for me chatting up your crew, well, how else is a guy to know just who he's signed on with?," Colt asked rhetorically. "Now, see, I know a lot. Quartermaster likes to micromanage, Gina tows the line, old boy has a glass jaw when it comes to his dead wife, that DJ fella likes to start trouble, the toddler doesn't want any part of the banter, and you, well," he said, "you and I are having this lovely conversation, and I've got a pretty good idea who I'm about to walk into a fight with now," he said in a satisfied tone.
"So," he said, untucking his thumbs from his belt and clapping them together, "we gonna go steal a pirate ship or what?," he asked, his tone neutral.

Jin pauses, listening to Colt, and grins. "Washed up at twenty? Such a shame." He teases, chuckling. "I plan to have a talk with everyone at some point so hopefully we can stop bragging and start making something of ourselves. Legends are born on the battlefield, and it's kind of cheapened if you're talking YOURSELF up. But yes. We're going to go steal a pirate ship. Shall we be off?" He grinned, a gust of wind blowing from behind him as he geared up for a battle. This would be fun, at least.

"Washed up my happy a-," Colt started sarcastically, only to be cut off by a thunderclap. "About time. Let's get this show on the road," he said with a smirk, the same gust of wind sending his trench coat billowing behind him.
As they walked back to Colt’s pile of crates and barrels, Colt spoke up. "Bit of a philosophical point, but it wouldn't necessarily be considered bragging if it were true, would it?," he asked with a smirk, picking up his heavy load.

"Well I'm just about ready..... So urm... Where's the last guy?" At that moment the ship started to move itself as a face formed upon the flag... "Oh right... So urm guys this is our ship. Welcome to... THE JOLLY SHOCKER!" The Rotom in control of the ship makes this adorable noise and lightly shakes the boat. "Also I picked up a few friends... So let's see how we go~" He sent out the Nidoran male and female, Pikachu and Wurmple. "Now I've already made a promise to all these guys kinda to be with em... But if you need them to help around the ship then do not hesitate, especially these two." He says, pointing at the Pikachu and Nidoran female who were both nuzzled up to the male Nido with the Wurmple on top of him.

"Oh for the love of.. Man Overboard!" Marak cranes his head over to investigate the noise before shifting himself over the side and into his metal form. Now floating a foot above the water he fishes out for one of buuta's wrist, grabs with his hands, and starts the slow process of hovering him out. Without help.. this could be a bit. But at least Buuta's head and chest is above water with more stability.

Proxy was pretty sure she had told everyone else to focus on gathering food and supplies, but Randy also went and gathered 4 more additions to the crew. From what she can see, both the Pikachu and the female Nidoran were acting very lovey-dovey towards the male Nidoran, while the male Nidoran and the Wurmple were both gazing at Randy in awe. Wait, what was that they just said? "He looks different from before"? Before she had a chance to ponder that thought she heard a loud splash nearby, followed by the red-skinned demi-giant shouting out "man overboard". "Man overboard". . . if I remember correctly, that meant that a crew mate has fallen into the water. . . !!! At that realisation, Proxy hurried over to the side of the ship the splash originated from and saw that Buuta had fallen into the water! Not good! Because Buuta is now Devil Berry Eater, he can't swim! "Ah! Buuta fell into the water! And he can't swim! Quick! Pull him out!" She turned to the others on board the ship and and asked them for help, but she herself hesitated to move. There was fear in her eyes, and that fearful look became more apparent whenever she glanced back at the water, and she even visibly shuddered.

Melanie watched curiously as Buuta went off to get someone. Who could he mean? Is there someone else on the island in need of a getaway? Then Buuta shouted out the name Beatrice. For a moment Melanie was expecting a woman, but then a Pokemon appeared in the water. Melanie turned away and walked over to the rest of the crew, letting Buuta do his own thing.
It came as a surprise to her when Marak suddenly shouted, "Man overboard!" Did someone fall off the boat? She wondered. The thought amused her enough that she smiled a little. She wasn't particularly worried, the person could just swim back onto the docks right? Turns out they couldn't. Not according to the blue lady at least, who shouted that Buuta - so that's who it was! - couldn't swim. For a moment Melanie was frozen. Not by fear or anything like that, but from confusion. A person that couldn't swim was practically unheard of in this day and age. Just what had Buuta been doing that he couldn't swim? No, it was unlikely that the man didn't have the ability to swim, but if that was the case, why couldn't he save himself? Something must be interfering.
Melanie ran over to the side of the ship, where she could see Marak holding Buuta's head and chest above the water. By levitating, at that. That was interesting, but Melanie didn't really pay attention to that. She swallowed. What ever it was that had happened to Buuta, it took more than his ability to swim. The man looked like he couldn't move at all! "What on earth..." Melanie mumbled. He looked completely paralyzed. He must have either been attacked, or poisoned. Poison... Didn't the last thing she ate also taste like it had been poisoned? Melanie swallowed but more deeply this time. "Uh oh..." Was it the Devil Fruit that had done this? That would explain the fear in the blue lady's voice and her knowledge of Buuta not being able to swim when they hadn't met before today.
I have to help... but how? Melanie wanted to do something, but she didn't want to end up drowning herself. Then she remembered she could fly and nearly face palmed. She transformed into her hybrid state and jumped off the ship. For a moment she panicked, realizing she hadn't really practiced flying, but soon she noticed that her wings were almost doing the work by themselves. She didn't have to put much thought into flying at all. Melanie swooped down towards Marak and Buute and, making sure she didn't touch the water, managed to hook her right arm under Buuta's other arm. Thankfully Marak had lifted Buuta enough for that to be possible without having to touch the water. Beating her wings hard, Melanie tried to lift Buuta further out of the water. She regretted that she could't use her monstrous bird form to grab hold of Buuta and simply lift him onto the ship, but her claws would probably tear into his body.

As the crews began to stock their ship with hastily grabbed supplies, they soon found themselves overwhelmed with the sheer amount of supplies they had, and indeed the holds soon ran out of room for more of them. Worse still, they found the storm getting much much worse, before massive waves began to hit the ship and after a moment, a small purple and black haired girl who had previously been sticking out her tongue at everyone from the wheel of the ship, rolled into the middle of everyone. Which means everyone on the ship at the time, indeed, everyone. Both crews, as this young lady was apparently very skilled in illusions, and based on her fall, a devil berry user. She stuck her tongue out them all after the momentary shock of seawater, the girl became ethereal, like a purple tinted gas. Greater waves began to come forward, and as it did, marine battalions and ships came into view further out in the bay, apparently no longer blocked from view by that ghostly girl; and soon there after six members of the red crew, found themselves on the Morgan's Ship together. They didn't have time to argue, the anchor needed to come up or they'd be following suit like so many pirates below.

Jin looked between his crew, the strangers, and then the Marines. This girl had gotten his members and these other people on the same boat. Why? Probably another trick by Red and his crew... Whatever the reason, it was time to GO. He hurried to the anchor, pulling it up as quickly as he could, shouting to the people he'd brought with him. "She bought us some time to get loaded but we need to set sail NOW! We'll save introductions for when we're safe!" He locked the anchor in place, looking around. "Can any of you navigate?!" He hollered to the four that he hadn't brought, looking to the Marines again. He REALLY didn't like how close they were...

Murray simply goes into autopilot. He can worry about illusions, ghosts, what or whoever that blasted girl was and where the hell a quarter of their supposed crew was at now later. Right now there was one overriding thought pounding through his head. Escape. He practically attacked the capstan, Ohm pulling at the chain itself as its trainer tried to single-handedly raise the anchor. "Someone set the foresail up so we can get the HELL out of here!" he bellowed.

Out in the streets, in the midst of the swirling melee, a man got punched, falling back, unconscious, onto an empty crate and crushing it. The spry young man who through the punch didn't have much time to admire his knockout punch, as a sword came his way. The young blonde barely had enough time to deflect it with his knife, held reverse-grip in his offhand, but he managed, a grin on his face as the clang of steel rang.
"Look," he said, ducking a wide swing from the marine's sword. "I enjoy a good brawl as much as the next guy, but I haven't even done anything yet!," he said with a smirk, his eyes alight. The marine seemed not to hear him, or just ignored him, swiping clumsily again. "They were giving out free fruit at the bar! I mean, who would pass up free fruit? Would you pass up free fruit?," he asked, sidestepping a downward swing and stepping in, delivering a one-two punch to the Marine's face before shuffling back, avoiding the retaliatory strike as the Marine grunted in anger and frustration.
In hindsight, Saiko conceded that he did look the part of a pirate. His shirt, his gloves, his pants...the bandanna with the skull on it...he did kind-of fit the bill.
"Alright, so, I guess I do kind-of look like a pirate...I probably should've considered that before I left the house," he said in a jovial tone, holding out his arms and legs to examine his outfit and look himself over. "You have to admit, though, I do look pretty good in-," he started before being cut off as the frustrated Marine tried to separate Saiko's head from his body. His knife shot up, catching against the blade, holding it back, his arms trembling slightly from the difference in the blade's sizes.
"Whoa, be careful there! You could really hurt somebody with that," he said with a smile. Then, as he smiled at the Marine, his features began to shift, his skin turning orange, his eyes more reptilian, and a tail, tipped with flame, sprouting from his rear. The rain hissed and sizzled where it struck his tail-flame, and steam rose from his body. His fingers lengthened a bit, the nails growing to more closely resemble claws, and his teeth were clearly those of a carnivore.
He clenched his right hand into a fist, still holding the sword at bay with the knife in his left, and flames began to wreath his fist. He drew back, still smiling, and decked the Marine square in the side of the head, fist erupting into a fireball and sending him sprawling to the deck, a red scorch mark clear on the man's face.
"Well, I guess I've gone and done something now," he said to the unconscious Marine, reverting back to his normal form and shaking out his right fist. He walked over to the downed Marine, adjusting his pack. "Good fight, good fight," he said, leaning down to grip the man's shoulder. "But I really should get going now, so you just hang tight here, aaand I'll see ya around," he said with a grin.
As he started down the street at a brisk pace, he briefly considered the plight of the other guy--clearly a pirate--that he'd left unconscious next to the Marine. It really was that guy's fault for starting it, trying to mug him. Had he just let him by, he wouldn't be in the predicament he was in. Oh well. Maybe this would teach him.
Saiko slowed his pace as the sound of the commotion from the pier grew louder. It sounded like there were a lot of people out there fighting...and as much fun as a good old street fight sounded, he probably should leave sooner rather than later. Maybe 'borrow' a boat, or stow away, or something...
As he weighed his options, he got ready for what he was sure would be a fight to get just about anywhere. He briefly held his knife in his teeth as he adjusted his gloves, cracked his knuckles, and did a few stretches, trying to get loose since he was about to cut loose. He removed the knife from his mouth, flipping it a few times before gripping it tightly in his off hand.
"Well, no use standing around here," he said to himself, taking a deep breath, a smile on his face as he started to jog toward the harbor...and the sounds of violence in progress.

A small blue haired girl hiding behind the barmaid, peeks out and raises her hand, and says in a voice that can barely be heard above the storm. "I... I think I could navigate for you."

"NAVIGATOR! WE GOT A NAVIGATOR! RIGHT HERE!" Pumbloom shouted, his voice carrying well above the others almost mystically. He motioned to the outspoken girl, clearing the way for her to be seen by everyone on-board. "Little miss, I'm rather frightened right now. There's plenty of things the marines can do with that many ships and I DONT WANNA BE ON THE WRONG END OF THEIR GUNS WHEN THEY DO! So if you could get us out of here that would me much appreciated."
Navigator found... that meant they were hopefully leaving soon. Given the kind of maneuvers the ship would need to pull to get through a Marine blockade, Pumbloom moved to secure as many of the goods below deck as he could. He didn't gather all this stuff just so the sea could claim it all!

....On second thought, given that Gina knew basically nothing about boats, perhaps she should've waited until a less chaotic time to go on a little adventure. The barmaid kind of froze after the shouting and panic started, not really recovering until after the little blue-haired girl behind her spoke up...Wait, where did she come from?! Ah, well, she seemed to be trying to help and knew more that she was going, at least.
Well, since DJ was taking care of the girl, and hurting Gina's ears in the process, Gina decided to follow Murray's orders, going to...raise the foresail? Well, she hoped this was the foresail, at least. She was raising SOME kind of sail with this rope, at least, with some difficulty.

When DJ starts yelling and waving his arms in her general direction, Gwyn lets out a loud "Eep!" before fulling transforming into a small blue teardrop shaped pokemon, and hides behind Gina even more, to get away from the loud noises.
Now that she feels relatively safe, Gwyn looks out at the sea where they were heading trying to get a read on the storm and the locations on the marine ships. Once she believed it was safe enough to come out from hiding she was going to be able to lead them away from the island.

Murray falls back from the chain and windlass, giving it over to Ohm completely. "Ohm, try and put some magnetic force to this thing!"
Ohm hovers over the center of the windlass, and begins to rotate rapidly, emitting waves of electromagnetism to latch onto the metal caps of the windlass and the chain itself, attempting to force the device to rotate along with it.

Jin leaps up to deal with the sails, his eyes tracing the lines quickly, searching for a weakpoint the same way he would an armed opponent. Finding the nexus of most of the knots, he quickly struck, untying them with haste and moving on to the next cluster, soon having enough of the sails unfurled to get some wind into them.
"The sails are done! How's the rest of the ship looking?!" He called down from aloft, looking down on his crew. Maybe this wouldn't be so terrible...
Combat roll of 11 to untie the sails.

Well, Jin took care of that whole rope situation, so that was good. She was pretty sure she wasn't helping, anyway. Besides, there was a little girl cowering behind her that likely needed her help more than they did...Well, except for DJ. He, uh, seemed to be having trouble.
"Dolly, go try and help him out." Gina ordered, nodding to Dolly. Dolly looked over, soaked to the down, and didn't seem fond of the idea. Especially since she had no hand and would need to lift, pull, and drag things with her beak and talons. But she was a good little parrot, and so flew over to help DJ try and secure everything as best she could. Which, in all honesty, was somehow more than DJ could do himself. This was a puzzle for the ages.
Gina scooped up the tiny raindrop that was a girl just a few minutes ago in her arms, and headed for the helm with her. "All right, you said you were a navigator? That's good, really good. Just try to ignore all the commotion and focus on that." Getting the girl less frightened and back to a human form would probably be in everyone's best interest. Once at the helm, Gina would release Gwyn from the comforting embrace, letting her do what she needed to. "I'll stay with you in case you need me, all right?" She gave a reassuring smile, doing what she does bet: not anything related to sailing a ship.
