Rather annoyed that the civilians could fail something as basic as running from threats, the consensus had been to fight off these monsters that resembled Pokemon. Not wanting to waste any time, Thoron ordered Lowe to get in range of an enemy and prepare a charge. For his part, Thoron tried to determine any obvious weaknesses. Silas had mentioned that they resembled Psychic types, and one was even levitating... perhaps they had similar weaknesses to a Psychic type, as well? Deploying Thoron to C9, Lowe to D8. Thoron Init: 5, Lowe: 13
Lowe advances to K8 (7 tiles) and uses Charge. Thoron binds Capricious Whirl to Lowe. -2AP
Thoron also analyzes? Rolls Pokemon Edu against the blob on T7. Result: 17

Once again, Silas finds himself almost dumbfounded by the complacency people can show when their lives are in danger. This is a level beyond what he'd seen at the clinic, as there's a difference between 'I was stabbed? I'll walk it off.' or 'Persistent debilitating pain? Eh, no need to see a doctor.' and 'I'm going to stop running away from the horrific blob monsters.' Granted, he's headed straight for said blob monsters, so he's not in a position to judge. As Silas makes his way over toward the victim, he tries to snap the group out of their stupor, then directs his Pokemon. "All of you, keep running! You, see how the big guy like poison." The mushroom scurries forward, eager to see if these new creatures can grow its spores. Silas: Deploy at C13, Sprint to H11 Parasect: Deploy at C12Sprint to K11
Initiative: Silas: 5 Parasect: 5

"Excuse me, saving the dumb dumbs!" Soleil said as she slipped past Theron and moved in front of him a few feet before lifting her rifle and aiming it at one of the pink blobs straight ahead. As she looked through the scope of her rifle and aimed she frowned for a minute. How did you head shot a blob? "Huh..." She mumbled to herself before shrugging and just pulling the trigger. A laser burst from the rifle and flew right at the blob. "Run dumb dumbs! Or you'll get nommed again!" Soleil shifts to H11 and shoots blob T11 with bullseye. Can't release pokemon yet due to shift+standard being used.
Just a note, Keen Eye means Soleil ignores any evasion not derived from stats. (IE: instinct, minimize, whatever) Doubt it matters but just fyi Acc roll: 14 Damage roll 29, special normal damage due to laser rifle

Whelp, here goes a whole bunch of non-nothing. Leslie steps out into the street to spread the gang out. If you're gonna save people, might as well make sure stuff won't get past you, right? Taking a position closer to the far wall, she activates Espurr's containment device to help fill the defensive line. "Alright girl, you do the... the you thing you do?" Something's off. This cat is bigger and whiter and also blue'r than her cat. N-Myyaaaa. It glows, and the soft light spreads to the Technicians, their partners, and the fleeing civilians, ending with a turn to stare at Leslie. Confusedly. "Guyyyyysss, did I get the wrong Pokemon? Peter, whut-da-whaaaa?? Where's my Espurrrrrrr?"Leslie: Initiative 10 Starts B7, Shift Action to E6. Standard Action releases Meowstic in H6. Swift Action applies Inspired Orders on Meowstic.
Meowstic: Initiative 20 Standard Action uses Light Screen, counting Civilians as Allies.

"It's fine, Technician Kincaid. If you recall, one of your days of training would have mentioned that Pokémon are able to change forms at certain levels in their development. It's nothing to worry about."The civilians seem confused as to what's happening when the cat - and them - begin to glow. They don't stop falter this time, though. Though, one of them does seem like she wants to say something at Soleil's yell to them... but then appears to think better of it. At least the blob seems to recoil from the laser rifle a little bit. It doesn't stop, though. As Lowe runs up, the nearest man flinches as the Luxio gets quite close to him, but then relaxes (slightly) as he's able to pass by unhindered. Parasect scuttles forwards, while the maw-thing spits a glob of goo at Lowe that thankfully goes wide. In addition, the forms of the blobs seem to get ever slightly more solid, even as they ooze toward everyone. Thoron was pleased that the hapless man didn't interfere. If he had slowed them down, that would have been inconvenient... they had more important objectives than teaching civilians to stay out of their way. Moving on, he directs Lowe to " discharge his next attack into the nearest, blob" From his current position, he was - perhaps regrettably - screened from the bizarre Pokemon, but even so he tried to survey the battlefield. Thoron also tried to put a name to the larger hostile, with any luck it would be more familiar to him. Lowe shifts to O7 and uses Spark! AC2 - 4... DB8x - 48 Physical Electric damage. Potentially minus 5.
Thoron uses Capricious Whirl on Lowe (potentially on Lowe and 2 others) OR Capricious Whirl on Lowe and Focused Training on 2 Allies.
Thoron also identifies The Maw. PokEdu: 15

Silas closes the distance to the injured civilian, checking on his wounds. As long as the man can escape the area, the actual damage is irrelevant. Despite the haste that the situation requires, Silas does his best to help the man stay calm. "It's alright, we're going to make sure you get out of here. I'm going to need to take a look at what it did. How does it feel?"Meanwhile, Parasect eagerly approaches the maw and attempts to poison it. However, the mushroom's zeal causes it to release spores before it can get close enough, and the poisonous powder falls short of the creature. Silas moves to J6, Standard Action: check on the person who was hit Medicine Ed: 14
Parasect: Move to O9 and Poison Powder the Maw AC 6: 3

"Espuuuuu.... c-cat. Caaaaat, let's try something new. Got anything new to use on these things?"Mrrreeeoww. The larger than it used to be feline jaunts forward two paces and staaaaaares at the nearest.... blob-thingy. Its ears slowly lift, and from within a beam of soft light with radiating circles bursts forth, racing into the ... whatever it is. Leslie moves closer to the fray as well, fastening the gas mask she requisitioned earlier to her face and head. If you thought she was creepy before..... Leslie: Standard Equips Gas Mask (Head Slot). Shifts to G6. Swift applies Inspired Orders on Meowstic.
Meowstic: Shift to J6. Standard uses Psybeam (AC2) on Blob2. Rolled 9. Meowstic has Keen Eye. 37 Special Psychic damage.

With the blobs still in range and no need to move, Soleil quickly removed a hand from her gun for just a moment to grab her pokeball and toss it out, releasing her Trapinch. She would have loved to try and hit the blob in the face with the Pokeball, but it wasn't worth it to run up and give up her range. She would prefer to instead have the mushroom thing and her Plushie making a wall as she continued to rain death from behind them. As Gilgamunch, King of Pebbles came out he looked around and grinned opening his maw at the blobs. They certainly looked strange and could provide an interesting taste. Soleil meanwhile returned her focus to her rifle and aimed at the blob she had already shot positioning her shot so it would fly over the Trapinch and the Mushroom and then right at the blob. Soleil: Shift, release Trapinch to J11 Standard: Flash Cannon at Blob4 Steel, Special Acc: 15, Damage: 33

The cat's light strikes the blob, causing ripples to shudder down its body, a fair bit of fluid splattering the area. Soleil's laser shot is a lot less messy, seeming to vaporize some of it, but also seems less effective. Lowe seems to save the best luck of all, as the discharge of electricity seems to simply cause the blob that he was targeting to collapse in a puddle similar to the ones that were in the Warehouse. The civilians run further back, behind the lines, before stopping to catch their breath. The one that Silas goes up to still seems to be in a fair bit of pain, but he replies with "Agh... it hurts. But, it only seems to get worse where that... stuff is." Luckily, only a last few remnants of the slime seem to be clinging on. It's subsequently sprayed with more goop, as a pair of the blobs advance on it, while the one attacking Lowe thankfully manages to fall short with its shot. ơǂǐǍdžǑǂŽƿǂdžNjDŽŽǐǂNJdžljdžǎǒdžǁƉŽǑDžǂŽƄƪnjNjŽǔdžǑDžŽǑDžǂŽDŽdžDŽƾNjǑdžǀŽNJƾǔŽƾljNJnjǐǑŽǐǂǂNJǐŽǑnjŽDžƾǓǂŽƾŽǐdžNJdžljƾǏŽǐǑǏǒǀǑǒǏǂŽǑnjŽǍljƾNjǑƊƿƾǐǂǁŽƭnjLjɆNJnjNjŽǖnjǒƄǓǂŽǐǂǂNjƋØ B2 takes two injuries from Psybeam. Lowe, reveling in having dispatched one of the Blobs so decisively, was perhaps a little too eager to dig into the next target. Sparing a glare of disdain at the vile Maw, he then dove at the remaining Blob at his Trainer's direction. Thoron, meanwhile, began his slow advance up the battlefield now that the wave of Civilians had passed by. He was mulling over the issue of how to deal with the Maw, since Lowe's electricity-based attacks would likely prove ineffective... Out loud, he muses, " Do we have any Fire, or more direct Poison attacks? The Maw looks particularly susceptible to them." Lowe activates Celebrate! No shift, but +1 Speed CS. +1 Speed Evasion (3) and Resolved Initiative at 15.
Thoron uses Focused Training on Lowe and Leslie's Meowstic. Thoron advances to H9.
Lowe uses Intimidate (Swift) on The Maw, -1 Attack CS. Lowe uses Bite on Blob 1 (P6) AC2 - 3 DB6 - 30 Physical Dark damage.

=End of Previous Round= Gilgamunch glanced around and seeing what his trainer was shooting decided that it and the thing next to it would make good targets. It also saw the tasty mushroom thing from before, but remembered how last time it had disappeared before he could munch it. Deciding the mushroom had some weird 'disappear in case of being eaten' defense, Gilgamunch instead focused on the blobs, opening his mouth and opening up his Gates of Pebblyon above the blobs. =Start of Current Round= Soleil grinned as the rocks squished one of the blobs. She lifted her rifle to try and finish off the other blob before stopping and thinking. This could be a good time to try and catch one...but at the same time with the big maw thing still standing maybe it would be best to wait. She hesitated for only a moment before pulling the trigger and firing a shot at the blob aimed dead center in an attempt to splatter the gooey blob Trapinch was end of last round. Rockslide vs B3 and B4 Acc: 19, Dam: 51 (rock physical) (they are flinched! Except it ends at end of round and he was end of round...soooo nothing happens)
Soleil at start of this round. Bullseye vs B3 Acc: 19 (crit), Dam: 60 (normal, special) (critical hit)

Silas is glad to see that the man's wounds don't have any complications, but there's no guarantee he'll make it out as things currently stand. "This should treat the surface wounds, but you'll want to wash and bandage the area later." Silas pulls a Hyper Potion out of his bag and sprays the medicine on the surface of the wound. "I don't have time for anything else, so leave safely, alright?"Parasect notes satisfaction that the two miscreants intent on hindering his romance have been squashed into goo. It sidles up to the maw and tries to drain off some of its energy. After all, both bug and mushroom need to be on top of their game for the upcoming activities. Silas applies a Hyper Potion to the man and moves to I8.
Parasect moves P10 -> Q10 ->Q9 Parasect uses Leech Life on the Maw. AC2: 9 Damage: 25 Physical, Bug (I wish)

"Oh, that was niiiiice. Again."The cat complies, concentrating on the next blobber in range. She stares a little too seriously though, cause the beam of circles kind of just goes... around it, like a tube with it safely in the center. As that goes down Leslie shuffles over several feet and aims at the floater, finally time to show what her device can do. It ker-thunks with a click as the drum spins to her oddest shaped payload. The slacker aims well, but has to lean right to shoot around the medic moving in front. The capsule launches off, a little too low to properly hit home. Slightly miffed, "Nnnng. Soooo Peter, what's she called now? They change species names, ye?"Leslie: Swift applies Inspired Orders on Meowstic. Shift to G8. Standard uses Cap Cannon: Net Cap (AC 5) on Maw. Rolled 5. AP Spent (5/6 left). Also, because it was never mentioned in thread, Loaded Ammo at start of fight was: Net Cap, 3 Bean Caps, and a Rage Pesterball.
Meowstic: Standard uses Psybeam (AC 2) on Blob1. Rolled 2. Would of been 48 Special Psychic...

The falling rocks crush one of the blobs, leaving another puddle, while it seems to heavily damage another - though that one oozes out from underneath. Unfortunately, the Cat's - or, as Omega "helpfully" points out, "It's called a Meowstic, Kincaid." - psychic attack fails to do anything to the blob it aimed at. Lowe's attack is similarly ineffective, his teeth simply bouncing off the now-more-rubbery blob in front of it. Which may be for the best, all things considering... It may not be the best to ingest. Even Leslie's net doesn't quite go far enough to capture the target. Thankfully, Soleil's rifle burst at least takes out the one damaged by Trapinch's rocks. As Silas sprays the man with the potion, he says "Thanks... that feels better. I'll make sure to do that." But at the mention of leaving the man calls, "Wait, where should we go? Which way's safe? Is she still out there?"Meanwhile, the fungal Pokémon attempts to drain the life of the tentacle maw in front of it - thankfully avoiding another spray of toxic goop - but can't seem to find any purchase in the creature, despite landing a solid hit. Perhaps that isn't the best method of approaching this problem... Lowe also skilfully sidles aside to avoid a jet of aerosolized goo. That probably wouldn't be good to breathe in. Blob 4 faints from Rock Slide. Rock Slide is Disabled from... well, Disable. Espurr misses. Blob 3 faints from Bullseye. Bullseye is Disabled. Lowe misses. Leslie misses. Parasect's attack has no effect. The Maw misses. The Blob misses.

Silas starts to walk back to the battle, but he does a prompt 180 when the man mentions a possible opponent. "I'd guess you want to go away from the warehouse and the origin of the blobs, but we've just arrived in the area. What have you seen of the area? Is there someone behind all this?" Silas makes a conscious effort to keep his voice slow and controlled. The day has been stressful enough for the man. Meanwhile, the Parasect's frustration with the process grown. It orders the bug to scratch at the tentacles, hoping than an open wound would provide better purchase for its spores. Silas moves back to F8.
Parasect does not move and uses Scratch! AC 2: 16 DB 4: 25

With his attention focused on the battle, Thoron tries his hand at directing the Pokemon in the fray. In particular, keeping Silas' Parasect up was important, and the... Bug? The creature had taken quite a few solid hits already. Lowe was not pleased about finding no purchase with the slimy exterior of the blob, and wasted no time in following the bite with a an electrified charge. Thoron binds Capricious Whirl to Parasect (-2AP) and applies Focused Training to Lowe.
Lowe uses Spark on the remaining Blob. Activating Celebrate, if possible and Disengaging to P8 regardless. AC2 - 11 DB8 - 33 Physical Electric

-Last Turn- With the blobs properly turned into puddles before the Gates of Pebblyon, Gilgamunch moved forward at the next tasty morsel and was determined to ensure it could not escape his wrath. He moved forward and ordered the sand to trap the maw thing. Sadly the focus on charging on the stubby little legs caused his sand to be slightly poorly aimed. -This Turn- Soleil frowned as the Pokemon did something to mess with her gun. She looked down at it confused for a moment before lifting it up and firing at the maw as she moved closer firing a laser blast at it while moving closer. Trapinch missed with sand tomb after shifting to L8 Soleil used flash cannon after shifting to K8 and firing at maw Acc: 14, Damage: 29 Special Steel

"Nooo, do better. Like before. Mrrrg."The alpines colored cat tries with feeling. Of course, she continues to just look like it's a simple staaare at the blobber, but there is an attempt being made. Kitty wants to see a splatter, wants to cause one. Her ears lift once more to let loose a psychic blast. Leslie shuffles over again for a clearer path. It's time to (focus fire down this last bloblet / start wailing on this floater mouth). "That's a stupid name, I'mmmm calling her Meowspurr."Leslie: Swift applies Brutal Orders on Meowspurr.
Meowspurr: Standard uses Psybeam (AC 2) on Blob 1. Rolled 15, Keen Eye. 35 Special Psychic damage, no effect proc.
Leslie: Shifts to I7. Standard uses Cap Cannon: Bean Cap (AC 2) on Blob 1 if it is still active, target changes to The Maw otherwise. Rolled 14. Set damage is 30 Normal Physical.

Trapinch's abrasive sand doesn't end up doing anything to the blob, the few grains that drift in the direction of it simply getting stuck to it. "Meowspurr", on the other hand, is much more effective, splattering some of the goop around, and causing the blob to recoil a little. Soleil's beam seems to do some damage, dissipating a little of the maw's substance, but it doesn't seem to be too affected by it. Lowe's efforts to electrocute the last blob are met with similar results. Leslie's cannon, however, punches through with enough force to cause the blob to collapse into a pool. "Well, when the first word of those things attacking came through," explains the man to Silas, still sounding short on breath, "we made the decision to stay inside. But... like an idiot, after some time, I decided to look out the window, and see if anything was going on outside. At first glance, it seemed like it might've been safe, because it looked like there was a person walking through. But, when she got closer... that was no proper person. She was sort of a glowy, transparent blue colour... and those eyes. Bright red." He pauses. "She saw me, and then seemed to created those things out of nothing, sent them after us before heading on her way... It turns out that regular doors don't do a damn thing to stop those blobs, not when they can just squeeze. The only reason we could even get out was because they... they ganged up on Mary, and we were able to get past them before they decided we were next. It's all my fault that they saw us... My fault that they got her..."Meanwhile, the Parasect seems to be having a better time of attacking now, with cutting off one of the maw's tentacles, causing the appendage to dissolve... although it swiftly reforms it. The maw swiftly retaliates with a powerful chomp at the unfortunate mushroom, though, as though attempting to engulf it entirely. Trapinch misses. Blob 1 takes 2 injuries from Psybeam. Psybeam is Disabled. Soleil hits with Flash Cannon. Luxio hits with Spark. Blob 1 faints from Leslie's Bean Cap. Parasect hits with Scratch. Parasect takes 41 damage and 2 injuries from Bite. And is Flinched (not that it matters).
