"Well, frequency..." Terrance sighs, "I'd almost prefer them to come more often. Because the longer it is between when they come, the more of them there are. It's not fun either way. Because, really, we don't know where they're coming from. So for all we know, we could have destroyed the last of them, or not even touched a fraction. I think we've got here pretty well covered. The problem is, we can't leave, because the damn Porygon have no initiative," "See. They're idiots." "And they can't leave, because it's too far from the computer. So, if you guys could, at the very least, find out if we're fighting a futile battle, that would be great." He gives a wan smile. "Sorry, I shouldn't be so defeatist. I'm sure that there's someway to stop them."
Turning to Silas, the other Technician does actually have a bit of a triumphant look on his face. "Don't worry about that one in particular. It's nothing more than some splatters around the breach. I have to say, though, you should be careful. Because those things don't look too solid, but a lot of our attacks didn't seem to do much at all. Stanley got it in the end, though, caused it to melt away." He gives a smile at the Pokémon walking next to him, as he leans down to give it a bit of a rub. "They sure leave a mess, though."
"I'm taking you to the breach right now," he says to Soleil. "It's where Erin is right now. So we can do both."
"Debilitating attacks?" he finally answers Leslie, "Uh, there's been a few. Various different kinds. The attackers don't really seem to be too uniform. Which is a shame. No universal immunities, at least, that we've seen."
It seems like you're getting close to the edge of the warehouse, judging by the wall that you can see approaching a little bit ahead of you. It shouldn't be too much longer to reach there.

Soleil looked around while they walked and took out her camera and snapped a selfie of herself hugging her rifle. She then focused on saving the picture while the others talked. As long as someone said 'shoot that thing' she would be fine with whatever plan. She wasn't a planner. That was why she let the smart people do the thinking. Snap pic and save location. What's the area? maybe this time I can actually use Keen Eye

Mostly sated by Terrance's answers, for now at least, Thoron asks, " Do you have any further details on 'that one'that became a splatter'? If we were to encounter a similar specimen, foreknowledge of effective tactics could be the difference between a successful mission, and casualties. What sort of attacks appeared most useful, and did any methods stand out as useless?" Peter's rather critical opinion of his own kind was rather surprising, too. He would have to remember to ask the A.I. about the source of that animosity, when they had time. Profiling Terrance. If the walk takes more than six seconds, also going to snag Stanley the Porygon-2.
So -1 to 2 AP... Actually, -3. A certain someone told me Stanley =/= Porygon-2. And they're both in range!

"Don't worry Peter, we wouldn't trade you for any number of your innnferior cousins."
That was Leslie being reassuring. Here is Leslie getting closer to her normal self by holding and waiting on on any other questions until they reach the other Technician, who might have different insights.

"Well," Terrance says, thinking, "it looked kinda like a smaller, more liquid, version of that metal monstrosity Cain uses. Except it only had two legs, and looked like it was barely holding itself together. Of course, just because it looked like it shouldn't have been able to hold its shape doesn't mean it was any less dangerous. I can certainly say that neither the Porygons' psybeams, nor Erin's plant's attacks seemed to do much. Her having it increase the heat here, combined with Stanley's fire seemed to work fairly well. Took care of it in short order. But not before it made sure that door wasn't closing again anytime soon... Well, you can probably see the handiwork for yourself."
Shortly after that comment, the towers of crates abruptly stop, and you're thrust into a clearing. On the far side is a wall, with a door centered in it. Or, rather, what used to be a door. Now it's just a hole, judging by the door-shaped slab of metal quite a ways back from the opening, and jagged edges in the surrounding wall. There's also some various sized puddles of... well, goops of various colours. One's a fair bit larger - and further into the clearing - than the others. Likely these are the remnants of those strange Pokémon.
Floating fairly close to the entrance is a trio of the Porygon models like the one that was accompanying Terrance. A short distance back from the door, a woman is sitting down on a crate, looking over a rifle, similar to Soleil's. Next to her is a humanoid Pokémon, with a green, leafy body, and a bright yellow head, with what seems to almost be a mane. It appears to be watching the door.
As you approach, the woman looks up. She seems fairly tired. "Oh, good," she says, with some relief. "They didn't decide at the last minute that we didn't really need reinforcement. Oh, right. Erin Melling," she says by way of introduction. "And you've already met Terrance. I'd introduce Lex and Leanne, but they're getting some much needed sleep right now. Almost thirty-six hours straight rather exhausts you. We didn't realize that it wasn't going to be this long... But they just kept coming. Uh, sorry. I'm rambling. You're here to try and figure out where in the world those things are coming from, right?"

"That information should be useful, if we should happen to encounter one.", Thoron responds. He opted not to ask if they had since moved the door.
To Erin, he said, "On the contrary, they instructed us to arrive with all haste. And then, yes, to identify the source of these strange Pokemon," then surveying the destruction, he asked, "Were all of them destroyed in this last battle? Or could you point out which direction the remaining specimens escaped toward?"

"Ohhhhh! Nice rifle!" Soleil said holding hers up to show off. "How well does yours work on these? And you got to shoot them for that long?! Lucky! I only get to shoot mine on the occasional mission at the occasional target..."

Lots of info and data here and yet not nearly enough. Leslie moves over to the biggest puddle and squats down next to it, thinking.
None of this really makes sense. Pokemon attacks this high in the Shaft. Concerted and constant assaults. Pokemon that don't dissipate. We don't have nearly enough information. I don't have nearly enough.
She pokes and tries to swirl the puddle a tiny bit with the end of her launcher as she queries Omega. "Nm. Peterrr, you got anything in this bracer than can figure out what this is made of?"

While Leslie poking at the goo, Silas takes a more (and less) proactive stance to the substance. He pulls out two of the jars he brought along and fills them with the goop from the destabilized Pokemon. He has no idea what he expects to happen back at his makeshift lab, but he won't learn anything without taking samples. As much as he'd enjoy taking the time to understand this mess, pragmatism dictates a more direct approach.
"Well, we're going to need to get answers ourselves. We know they can be killed, and we have a tracking Pokemon. Stalling here extends the siege, and things are already rough." When he mentions the tracking Pokemon, Silas gives Thoron a meaningful look. They aren't technically tracking down an individual, but it'd help if the goo-mon have a distinctive scent.

"Yeah, we got 'em all," Terrance says, nodding. "Stubborn little things. Stupid, but stubborn. Haven't seen one fall back yet. No sense of self preservation. Or target priority. Seems like they tend to just attack the things closest to them. Hopefully that's something you find useful."Erin looks a little bit exasperated at Soleil's enthusiasm, but answers nonetheless. "It works... variably well. Seems to do fine on most things, but some just won't seem to die to it. That thing that ripped the door open, for one. And, believe me, if I never had to fire it again, I'd be happy.""No." The reply to Leslie is terse. "There's only so much room in something you want to make portable. Either way, we P*DA models don't get... all of the toys the other ones do." There seems to be a hint of bitterness. ǹȍȊDžȘȚȇȘșȆȓȈȊDžȎȘDžȋȆȎȗȑȞDžșȍȎȈȐǑDžȆȓȉDžȘȚȗȕȗȎȘȎȓȌȑȞDžȉȊȓȘȊǑDžȇȚșDžȎșDžȊȆȘȎȑȞDžȈȔȆșȘDžșȍȊDžȑȎșșȑȊDžȇȎșDžȔȋDžȑȆȚȓȈȍȊȗDžȞȔȚDžȉȎȕDžȎȓǓDžǮșDžȉȔȊȘȓnjșDžȘȊȊȒDžșȔDžȇȊDžȈȔȗȗȔȘȎțȊDžȔȗDžȉȆȒȆȌȎȓȌDžȔȗDžȆȓȞșȍȎȓȌǑDžșȍȔȚȌȍǓDžǦșDžȑȊȆȘșǑDžȓȔșDžȎȒȒȊȉȎȆșȊȑȞǓØ "Well, hopefully you're able to figure out something. Catching the hints Silas was throwing, Thoron releases Lowe and directs the Luxio to the largest puddle, with instructions to ' Pick up their scent.' While his Pokemon sets about its task, he replies, " Yes, it is definitely to our advantage to be able to predict their behaviour in advance." Then, Thoron declares, " If they continue escalating as they have, it would be best for us to find their source quickly... We'll try to put the data you've collected to good use." Having said everything he needed to, Thoron goes to check on Lowe, and also looks ahead to see if the indiscriminately-attacking Pokemon had left a trail of destruction for them to trace back... Although if they were attacking the City itself so mindlessly, one had to wonder how they had arrived so far from the Under so suddenly. Lowe's Tracker Perception: 14 Thoron's Perception: 12

Soleil moves over to the goop and pulls out one of her nets. She ties the fabric from the tent to the net to try and make a carrying container and decides to test if the net can carry the goop. She tries to scoop up some (assuming that jerk Silas didn't steal it all!) and test her makeshift hobosack.

Looks like it's time to move out, because everyone around never understands the importance of resting. Leslie stands up proper, adding in a groan directed towards the, as she sees it, unneeded at this time location change.
"Peeeeterrrr. Just cause you can't do something doesn't mean you suuuck. I mean, look at me. I can't ever seem to catch a break~~."
She let's the joke hang in the air, almost like she expects a laugh track to play.

Silas makes a point to not laugh as Soleil starts carrying around a sack of goo, but the imitation and attempt to outdo him is rather amusing. Even if the higher ups decide they want that much goo collected, couldn't she just gather it on the way back?
As Leslie's attempt at humor hangs in the air, Silas can't control his expressions any longer. His face twists into a grin as he replies, "You don't 'catch' breaks so much as wrestle them out of any situation."

"Did I say that I thought I 'sucked'?" Omega retorts to Leslie, sounding a little insulted.
Meanwhile, as Soleil succeeds in getting a little bit of the goo in her makeshift net - though, it certainly isn't an easy proposition - Lowe seems to perk up a little bit, before heading out the... well remains of the door. "Well, you should probably follow," Terrance says.
"Yeah..." Erin agrees, tiredly. "Just... try and find a way to stop them fast, if you can. I don't know how much longer we can hold out. I really don't want to have to... well, attempt... to requisition more backup."
*****
Following Lowe down the corridors, you notice the streets seem rather deserted... although, there are, here and there, civilians who clearly weren't able to get away in time... to fatal (and sometimes goop covered) consequences. Hopefully, the silence is also an indication that anyone still around is laying low. At least there doesn't seem to be too much wanton destruction, besides places where fallen humans are.
After a few minutes of this, though, you suddenly hear a noise. Several noises in fact. And some of them even sound like terrified humans. They sound quite close, in fact... and as you enter the junction ahead of you, you notice that about a 'block' down the corridor to your right, there are some civilians, running towards your location. Pursuing them are some... strange looking Pokémon. They're different from any type you've seen before, at least. It looks like four of them are just small-ish blobs of pink-coloured ooze, while the last one appears to be a floating maw of a similar colour, with writhing tendrils descending from it towards the ground.
They're far enough away, though, that if you wanted to, you could probably head another way, and avoid notice.

Given that their orders were to stop the source of these bizarre Pokemon, rather than engage in meaningless skirmishes across the city, Thoron was inclined against rescuing the misfortunate citizens. That said, they had valuable second-hand data from Terrance, yet no firsthand information to speak of... and the five specimens before them were probably going to be the only time they found so few. To pass by could be considered wasteful...
Still, sidetracking the team for so small a reason felt ill-advised. Thoron settled for asking, "It may be advantageous for us to practice fighting these Pokemon while they don't possess numerical superiority. Perhaps a worthwhile advantage to the delay it presents?"

As Silas walks past the corpses, he glances over them to see how they died. Knowing the goop's preferred killing method will be useful when he needs to treat some injuries. He also lets his Parasect out of its Pokeball, as the aberrations might be hiding in ambush.
When Silas sees the civilians, he goes quiet and starts to approach. In a low voice, he agrees with Thoron's plan. "They're held together by psychic energy. Let's see what it takes to make them stop."

"Sooooo I can shoot them then?" Soleil asked quickly twirling her gun and pointing it towards the blobs. "Or do you mean seeing how they attack and I aim at a leg?"

"Just because you didn't say it doesn't mean you didn't think it orrrrr think I thunk'd it. Also, reminder; we should ask Cain for a second bracer with a bunch of field sensors."***** Leslie felt a saddening loss as they came across and passed on passed away civilians. With the Pokemon sniffing the trail, there was little time to do any field autopsies. Not that she herself really knew how to properly perform one. Silas probably did though, right? ***** "Oh noooo, why did we stop? We weren't told to save pe-ople, just eliminate the source of the Pokemon. They~.... they'll be fine. Yea, totallllly." She says, pandering to herself as she pulls out her launcher and starts loading ammo. Looking to the group as she finishes up, she quips a line. "Soooooo, who's going first?"She pump cocks the cannon for emphasis, which has no purpose because she put the pump on it just for show. She even made the K-sshk sound louder than it needed to be; when you pump a weapon like that, you wanna make sure everyone knows you did, cause that means business! Ammo loaded to be determined.

As you begin to take your positions to combat the approaching menace, the humans running towards you initially freeze, seeming fairly terrified of the fact that there's Pokémon in front of them. But, relief seems to cross their features once they see that there are humans amongst the Pokémon - plus your Technician uniforms probably help. The hesitation costs them, though, as it allows the furthest forwards blob to get close enough to launch a similarly-coloured orb of goop at the man closest to them. It arcs true, and hits him straight in the back. You can't see what's happening, but given his cry, it's probably not very pleasant... MapI just need positions from you and your Pokémon somewhere in columns A to D. Also, initiatives would be nice. I'll post Initiative order after the first turn.
