Palkia and Dialga have discussed and decided to test the ones who would upset the natural order. They have taken Usurpers from different timelines and pitted them against each other to test their mettle. Their only rule is you must establish your dominance over the other. The method does not matter.
A rather short man in his early twenties steps out of nowhere into a virtual arena. Looking around in confusion for a moment at the stands filled with inanimate spectator cutouts, he pushes his glasses up on his face and runs a hand through his tousled blond hair.
Sizing up the rather plain battleground, he spots his opponent arriving across the way, launching into a pompous announcer spiel.
"In the red corner, the one, the only, Geromy Schneider! Lets see how this titan of a man will bring down his opponent today! And in the blue corner, it's some girl nobody cares about! Will the underdog take it from behind to win, or will she get her ass handed to her? It'll definitely be the second one, no doubt about it!"
Geromy pulls two objects off of his belt, a sphere and a cube. The sphere expands to become a voltorb, and the cube unfolds, the corners becoming the ends of long spindly limbs, with a spherical center holding them together. Starting up the pokebot from an arm-mounted control pad, Geromy speaks once again to his opponent.
Stepping (was it really stepping? It felt a lot more like just appearing there...) into the Space-Time Arena, Anais was rather shocked to receive such a loud welcome. And as everyone knew, a loud welcome meant they must be happy to see you, no matter what they said! "Ooh, you must be Geromy Schneider, right? Where do I even start...? I know! That computer thingy is so cool! And that robot, too, I don't think I've ever seen someone use one, before? And what a determined little Voltorb! You must be really talented, to have such awesome toys.", she started saying, although if it was to herself of the man at the other end of the arena was anyone's guess. Nodding suddenly, she continues, "Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. You definitely look like a champion, 'no doubt about it!' Oh! I almost forgot, you haven't met my best friend yet. It wouldn't be a very fun party if we forget him, no no... Come on out, Jean, say "hi!"", releasing her Sandile towards the end.
With that done, she stops her blabbering suddenly, though. Perhaps she looked lost in thought? Eventually, she resumes with her previous fervor, arguing, "I'm afraid I'm not much good when it comes to dancing, though! Haha, yeah... if we were going to have a dance competition, I'm afraid you'd win, hands down, no question! Then again, I've never seen a Voltorb, or a... Surskit-bot? I've never seen them dance before, it could be fun?" While it looked like she was done, she exclaimed without warning not seconds after finishing speaking, "Ohmygod! I'm so sorry, where are my manners? I'm Anais, its a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Schneider. It would be an honour to become friends with a dance-master like you! It surely would!"
"Well then , I'll take the first move. Devil, keep your distance from that Sandile for now, and hit it with a sonicboom!
Rolling back to the maximum range for the attack, the Voltorb fires a pulse of sound at its foe, while Geromy stepped back a few steps, approaching the edge of the arena. He taps some commands into his controller and the 'bot scuttles forward on its spindly legs and takes a swipe at the sandile with one of the wedges on its topmost set of limbs.
"And while we're at it, let's make it a little two versus one! Wahahaha! My tactics are superb!"
Answering Geromy's challenge with a simple, "Hmm?", Anais becomes much less blasé when the attacks start.
Without counterattacking, she recalls the Sandile, and starts an attack of an entirely different nature, "Ooh, yes. I see, simply superb tactics. But I'm not sure you understand how a dance competition really works, Mister? It definitely doesn't involve using your fancy robot to hurt my friend! And what kind of bully does a two-on-one sneak attack, in a dance competition?! You really looked smarter than that; why, even I know that's not how these things go!", backing up several paces as she rants. It wouldn't do if he was one of those people, who let their fists... or weird robot-thingy's fists do their talking. And he seemed to be... boy, were they hard to make friends with.
After a deep breath, and a hair-brained idea, Anais said, "Okay... I'm sorry for yelling at you, Mister Schneider. Its just that where I'm from, you don't say 'hello, lets be friends' by trash-talking someone and then beating up their best friend. That's kinda rude, don't you think? At least, it is in Eden... Oh, but I must admit, your robot is very strong! I'd expect someone smart enough to build something so impressive to have a little sense!"
This girl really thought he meant "let's dance" literally? Was she dumb, or just airheaded? Noticeably thrown, Geromy deactivates his pokebot, and walks over to the cube, his Voltorb rolling around him happily.
"I- uh- it was a figure of speech, jeeze! We're here to fight, not be friends!
Withdrawing your pokemon, though, I'm pretty sure that means you forfeit."
Noticing what else she said, Geromy adds, "So you, uh, like my bot? Er, I mean, of course you like my bot, I'm a technological genius!" He visibly preens at the last part.
Shocked beyond words by what Geromy uttered, Anais couldn't do anything but stare for a moment. And another. Finally, she shakily replied, "...I don't think that means we can't be friends."
Slowly recovering her usual verve, she took a few steps toward the inventor and said, "I'm sorry for the mix-up, though, Mister. But don't you think it'd be kind of, well, dumb to pit us in a fight? I mean, that would be like making a little Buneary fight a Skarmory! There's no challenge there, is it? Uh-uh, its nothing for the Skarmory to just eviscerate the little girl." A few steps closer, only a few meters away, she continued, "I guess if we kept up with that analogy, the Skarmory also had a super-cool robosuit on, too? Yeah, lets go with that! Only a dummy wouldn't like something that awesome, right?"
While not entirely convinced that had been a real fight at all (hopefully her simile communicated that to him... smart people liked saying things all fancy-like, didn't they?), Anais didn't think stating so outright would warm Geromy up to her. If anything, it'd make her sound like a poor loser, and that was one-hundred percent wrong! Still, if it came down to it, them according to all those fancy "league rules", she had abandoned the fight... She would see if Geromy would let it slide, before admitting that, though. Her mind made up, Anais smiles and waits for the smart inventor's reply.
What was this, an actual girl praising his achievements, and better yet, smiling at him? This had to be some kind of trick, right? He felt his face beginning to flush.
"S-super cool robosuit you say? You ain't seen n-nothing yet!" Geromy assumes a pose he probably thinks looks cool, half-squatting with his right arm pointing to the sky and his head thrown back. "By the power of justice, I, uh-" shit, he rehearsed this, why was he forgetting his lines now? He would have been so cool. "Um, anyway, Transform!"
After a transformation sequence that was totally cribbed from numerous anime, featuring quite a lot of parts folding out of nowhere (like any giant robot transformation worth its salt), a Registeel stood in Geromy's place, gleaming and chrome. He assumes another sentai pose, which doesn't really look any cooler in this form.
"Transformation Complete! Wahaha, how do you like me now? Marvel at my ten-inch armor plating! Swoon at my built in weapons systems (ammo not included)! Actually look up at me!" As he poses, looking pretty much everywhere but at the girl in front of him (though it can be hard to tell with how Registeel's face is set up), he shows off a decal on his left shoulder, a pentagon containing a stylized skull and the words "Bellator in Machina".
Between bouts of laughter and fervent applause, Anais said, "Y-you're right! That's a robosuit!". Once she had overcome her laughter from the little show, she continued, "I thought that spidery robot was cool, but this is something else!"
When she had calmed down and started critically appraising the giant robot, she said, "Mm-hmm, you're even cooler than I thought, you know? I would never, ever have thought about decorating my Forme! Uh-uh, that was a stroke of genius!". Truthfully, she thought the poses in the robotic Forme were just a little much, but it sounded like Geromy was having a lot of fun! (Or at least, she thought so? Hard to tell without a face or a human voice...) And what were friends but people you could have fun with?
All this adoration was fun and all, and Geromy wished it could last forever, but he wasn't sent here for a friendly chat, he was sent here to win. Only, he had already won hadn't he? And it's not like he already knew this girl in real life; he'd likely never see her again so what was the point in continuing this whole thing?
Turning to the sky, he shouted "Okay, you so called 'gods,' you sent me here to beat this girl, and she's already given up. I've won, so do we get to go home now?"
Turning to Anais, he holds out his robotic claw, either unaware or unconcerned that he was still in his pokemon form. "I-it was nice meeting you. I, uh, hope we can meet under less strange circumstances back home."
Anais chimes in with, "Yeah, we're all done with that silly fight thingy. And it was nice meeting you too! I don't think I've ever made friends with an inventor before and definitely not one who can fight so well.", carefully shaking the offered claw. Or, well, trying to.
Her piece said, she watches the sky absently, ostensibly 'to see if any gods would answer their summons'.

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.
Dec 2, 2019 19:05:30 GMT
but how else do i find games then?

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

i wanted to join a living server on roll20 to learn the system but they ignored my application for 2 weeks then blocked me

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
