Jackie decided to do one better. getting down on all fours, her form seemed to ripple as if it were water for a moment. The sound of blades slashing through the air filled the arena as she grew in size, and a moment later, a Virizion stood where a human woman once was.
"Do what you want with the crowbar now for all I care. I'll try this." she leaped forward on funky looking, boot-like hooves to get a galloping start, than donkey kicked the section of the wall he'd suggested with enough force to cave a man's chest in.
You know, an interesting thing happens when a strong force meets an object. The force usually wins. For Jackie, this means two things. First, the wall splinters a bit, the white of the plaster shooting off harmlessly. Second, her feet get stuck in the wall. You both swear you hear the laughter of an elderly man, easily past his sixties.
Will winced. "Oh, that's unfortunate. Here, let me help you out with that." Pulling at the Virizion's fetlock, he tried to free her from her new-made prison. "At least you made a mark. Wonder what's in there...?"
"... fantastic." the girl-turned deer god sighs, already struggling to pull free. She immediately turned to eye the other pseudo-human with an icy, mildly embarrassed glare, particularly once she laid hands on him, helpful intentions or no. But she bit down on an insult and focused on trying to pull herself free instead.
"Alright. We've played it your way. And that's gotten us nowhere." that same glare from earlier was still firmly affixed to her face. "I can't fault you for trying. It wasn't a bad idea. But I'm getting bored of all this. And I don't need any more old men laughing at me."
she tapped one of her hooves hard against the ground beneath them. The thump was a lot louder than when she was human. "It takes a while to transform. You don't have enough time before I make a move. So now I have a plan: get down on one knee and say you give, right now, and you won't get hurt. That seems like dominance enough."
Will shook his head. "You're giving up too easily. This right here is concrete, sure, but concrete can be broken through with enough effort. Weeds do it all the time, you know?" He smiled, taking Gracidea flower and its vial of water from his pocket. "Now, I've always fancied myself a weed. Miranda, hold this for me, please?" Setting the pink cat down, he gave himself a hard shake. His body seemed to collapse in on itself, and with a sound like the wind in leaves and a smell like flowers, a Shaymin took his place. You've had your go. Now be fair and let me have mine. Set that in the wall there, will you? Obediently, Miranda plucked the flower from its container, setting it stem-first into the hole the Virizion had made in the wall. Now, I just have to...do this!
William activates his Sprouter capability! If plants can crack stone with their roots, then a notably tough flower with all the force a minor nature god can put behind it should do SOMEthing, right?
Will's back erupted in blazing pain as Jackie's hooves came down. All four legs went out from under him, and he lay sprawled on the floor. Miranda leapt to his defense, standing in front of him and preparing an attack. Before she could, though, Will forced himself to his feet, and snagged the Gracidea flower. The effect was immediate. Energy surged through him, and he could feel the buds on his back blooming as he stood straighter. His smile had razor edges to it now. "First thing, ow. Second thing, dick move. Third thing -" He made a mad dash, slipping himself under Miranda and letting the wind take him. "-BYE!"
Will's running as fast as he can with a Sky speed of 10, although he's moving 2 squares straight up. Also, he's picking up Miranda - a willing Small Pokemon can probably be carried, right? Said small Pokemon isn't going to just let it go, though, oh my no. She's got the ability to make a special ranged Struggle attack at her Focus range, which is 4, and she'll do so before Will carries her out of range.
AC = 4 fPq4y4ff1-20 Damage: 1-8 + 6 + 10 Special attack, Struggle-typed. Yes, I remembered to use the Special attack, how else would it be this high.
Jackie winced as if she felt a sharp sting, but it wasn't remotely enough to deter her. By that point, her Rattata, who had given p at attacking the kitten across the room, saw his opportunity to strike. His trainer motioned with her head and lowered herself so that he could scamper onto her back, and than, after taking a step back, she leapt up within striking range easily. Jackie attempted a haphazard shoulder check against the Shaymin, while her rat jumped off her back and cloaked himself in fire in a burning, far more dramatic looking charge.
The Rattata blazed past him in an impressive-yet-futile charge, and acting on instinct he narrowly spun out of the way of Jackie's attack. Will, careful! He winced internally, focusing on a straight flight. Sorry, but I think it's better this way. Outwardly, he yelled back at the charging Legendary. "Hey, whoa! Can we, I don't know, talk about this instead of trying to beat the shit out of each other?!" Miranda hissed back at the pursuers. They're not going to talk to us! Just let me hit them! No! Not yet, not if we still have a chance! "If we fight, the ones who have been bossing us around this whole time - they win! You just gonna give up like that?!" He tucked his legs under him, the world lifting him as he blurred through the air.
Miranda is refraining from attacking. Will is using his full 10 Sky speed to hurtle through the arena at top speed. If there's any kind of clutter nearby that doesn't reach the ceiling - cubicle wall, file cabinet, anything - he's going to go over it in an attempt to evade pursuit until he can talk it out.
Trying to keep pace with the flying hedgehog, Jackie dashed as fast as she could after him. He had a lead on her, for sure, but when she stopped in her tracks she craned her neck forward and let the Rattata clamber over her head, closing an eye and wince when he pressed down especially hard near her left eye, so that the rat could fly forward and attempt another fire cloaked charge aimed at the Shaymin.
All right, Miranda, they aren't listening. Start attacking them, we can't - A searing pain flashed in his left wing, ripping through his body. Unable to correct for the impact and in too much pain to even try, he spiraled out of control, and not even Miranda's panicked wail could awaken him as he plunged towards the floor and into darkness.
What DID manage to awaken Will was being returned to a slightly earlier period of time, landing on his feet across from Jackie. There was the sound of clapping coming from behind him, followed by the same, deep laugh from before. "A splendid battle!" Came the reply, a deep, rich baritone. The man the voice emanated from was wearing an old business suit, complete with a silk tie, and a top hat. Both of his wrinkled, worn hands rested atop a plain walking cane, but his grin seemed to defy his age, bright and happy like a child. "A few details you could each work on, but nothing major. I think either of you would do fine, oh yes..." He nods, seemingly speaking to himself.
Will hesitantly "stood" into his human form. "Well, it wouldn't have BEEN a battle if she'd just listened a little better..." Miranda glowered at the offending Virizion. "So. You're one of the two gods who were challenging us, right? What are we going to "do fine" for?"
Still in Virizion form, and apparently reluctant to change back, Jackie simply stretched in place as she'd done at the start of their encounter, albeit with fewer positions to work with given the addition of two more legs. She made do with what she could.
"Whatever they've got planned next, I'm sure." she said, her head bent almost dangerously backward as she extended her back.
The old man grins, the office slowly starting to fade away. "Now I'm not sure if they teach this anymore, but in the time travel business, we have a few rules. And the first rule we adhere to, is as follows." He taps his cane on the ground, and the office ceases to exist, the three of you floating in empty space. With another tap of his cane, the two of you are each in a big blue bubble, which speed away from each other. The last thing you hear is his voice. "No spoilers."

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.
Dec 2, 2019 19:05:30 GMT
but how else do i find games then?
Nov 28, 2019 6:17:00 GMT
Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

i wanted to join a living server on roll20 to learn the system but they ignored my application for 2 weeks then blocked me

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
