With the sun glaring down at you from above, the monster of a ship pulls in to what could generously be called Argenport's harbour, which appears to have been decorated rather more extravagantly than the rest of the visible town. Your journey up until this point has mostly involved making your own ways to Vermilion City, where the cruise liner was waiting to pick up a handful of guild recruits, yourselves included, and a more significant number of tourists. The bulk of the tourists make their way off the boat, ushered towards their destinations by what you hope are tour guides, as a short, white-haired woman stood off to the side waves you over.
"Good morning, apprentices! Well, as long as I've got the right ones, otherwise you're on the wrong pier." She says with a laugh, before rooting into a pocket and taking out three small cards. "I'm Faye, and I will be your guide for the next couple of weeks, depending on how things go. And these are for you." She holds out the cards, each with a clear picture of one of your faces in the corner, and the guild's emblem shining in the middle. "Identification cards, super handy. Mostly just proof that you're in the guild, but they've got a couple other uses I'll cover in a bit." Faye glances skyward for a moment, before giving you all a smile. "Right. Any immediate questions before I get into what the plan is for today?"

Gren immediately snatches his card from Faye's hand, holding it to his face and examining it as if he'd never seen a card before.
"Ooh, super neat, so this is like a "you're totally legit" card that we can wave in people's faces whenever they say only guild members can do stuff and we can be like "ha HA we totally are!" and then they can't stop us doing stuff well some stuff not all stuff some stuff they still wouldn't want us to do and other stuff you wouldn't want us to do and we do have to listen to you but I think that's stuff we wouldn't wanna do anyway well I wouldn't dunno about you guys, but hey you can't do it anyway so it doesn't really matter."
He says all this at breakneck pace without seeming regard for punctuation, comprehensibility or breath. After he finishes, that last one catches up with him and he starts panting slightly, managing to get out: "No questions."

Drake takes the ID Card from Faye, excited to finally be in Argenport. "Thank you, Miss Faye.", he says while examining the card before putting it into his pocket. He was happy to get into Guild Sardonyx, he felt their philosophy of discovery fit him pretty well.
Drake pulls out a camera, a gift from his mother, pressing a few buttons, adjusting it to the lighting. "Not really, well no questions about information about Argenport or Ignotus, at least not at the moment. But mind if I get a quick group selfie?" , Drake says holding up his camera. looking between Faye and the other two new guild members.

Viv tries not to giggle too much when Gren immediately starts babbling. She smiles and says "Thank you!" as she takes her own card, slipping it into her pocket.
"No questions right now, I don't think? Not until we've heard what we're doing." She tries not to sound too impatient, but she's eager to start exploring Ignotus and seeing all the new Pokémon on the formerly-lost continent. Not to mention being one step closer to finding out what happened to her father. Good thing she joined the guild that's all about exploring!
She glances at the others, smiling, when Drake suggests a picture. "I sure don't have a problem with it!" She steps in closer so they'll all fit in the shot.

"Picture? Sure, sounds great, let's do it." Gren says, stepping closer and giving a grin.

"That's fine with me. I'm sure you'll have questions afterwards, just saves time if there's any quick ones!" Faye says, moving in besides the recruits before she smiles and waves at the camera.

Drake holds the camera out, facing towards the four of them as he smiles. "Alright, say cheese!", he says as he takes the picture and shows it to the others.

"Awesome!" She says with a smile as she looks at the picture. Taking a couple of steps back, Faye dons a serious expression. "Alright then, here's the plan: Today is just going to be spent getting to know the town before you get sent off on your first expedition, tomorrow. So I'm going to take you all to the guild hall just to show you where it is, and then you'll have a couple of hours to explore and grab any last minute essentials with the spending money that the guild provides provide."
With a nod, Faye begins walking into the town, leaning over her shoulder to check that you're all following.

Gren follows Faye, his mouth still running a bit faster than his brain.
"Huh. I thought we'd be going out first thing - seize the moment, you know, go out and find something big and fight it and take it down and... and then..." He pauses, reasoning out the various scenarios that would come from heading out without supplies and preparations. After a few moments, he puts his head down. "Yeah, this is probably a better idea."

Drake follows taking pictures of the town as they walk. "I agree, I may be prepared, but it's always good to check your inventory and be sure of what you have. Wouldn't be good to be caught in an emergency and remember that you left something behind.", he states, adjusting his glasses.

"Yeah, I know. Doesn't mean I don't wanna be out there, though." Viv runs a hand through her hair as they head down into town. "But this way we don't have to try and find it all when we're tired and just wanna go to sleep."
She mutters under her breath as they walk, going over what she did bring along one last time. Not that she hadn't been over it three times before she even got on the boat. Something she should ask Faye occurs to her, but it's probably not something that needs to be part of Q&A time for everybody - she'll have to remember to ask privately later if they have a chance. No need to bug Gren and Drake with her personal motives.

"Don't get me wrong, you'll be up at the crack of dawn tomorrow and off to adventure. But you've only just got here, getting acclimatised before we send you exploring is the nicer option by far. I mean, the place you're going has already been looked over a fair bit, we're sending you there as a fresh pair of eyes and as somewhere that's not too dangerous just to start you off. It's called Bethimyl, and is mostly full of Unown markings everywhere. Not dangerous itself, but even with the route there being a little travelled it's mostly wilderness you'll be goign through." After a couple of minutes, Faye stops in front of what is pretty obviously the guild hall - it's noticably larger than the surrounding buildings on the street, and above the entrance is the same symbol that your cards bear - the symbol of the guild. "Alright, this is it. You can head inside now if you've got anything you want to drop off in your rooms, or you can just come back later once you're done taking a look around. Should have probably mentioned this earlier but you can also use your ID cards to pay for things - They've put 1500PY on it for now for anything you think you'll need, but you're going to be provided with a couple of things regardless - a tent, a sleeping bag, some firewood for the nights and enough food to get you there and back short of any detours." Faye stops for a moment and takes a breath. "Any last questions?" Decide if you're going off alone or together while shopping, I don't mind either way. Up to you guys if you want to roleplay out the shopping or not depending on if you're going to do anything fancy, just say where you head off to and I'll respond accordingly but most basics should be available.

Drake takes a picture of the Guild Hall while saying, "That sounds like it should be a fun first adventure. And, I have a question, where are our rooms? I'd rather drop off my bags and it would probably be faster to ask you, than to wander around lost.

"Think I'll keep my stuff with me for the moment," Gren says, gesturing to the large halbred on his back, "never know when something starts and you suddenly gotta do a bit of hah! Hai! Ya!" He playacts a brief bit of... it's probably fighting, but it's somewhat difficult to tell. "Still, might as well take a look at where I'm gonna be sleeping... occasionally."

"Ooh... kay." Viv takes a couple steps away from Gren, half-grinning but mostly trying not to get shadow-boxed to death. "Uh, no big questions, but can I talk to you for a moment in private? It's, uh, kind of a personal thing."
She rubs the back of her neck, looking a little sheepish. She didn't want to say anything about it at all in front of the others, but she doesn't want to run the risk of Faye getting called away to do something else before she gets the chance to ask.

"Head up to the third floor, go left and then it'll be one of the rooms at the end, your card will open whichever is yours. It's nothing fancy since it's taking us a while to get set up here, but you'll be spending limited time there anyway so it's mostly just space for storage and some peace from the madness."
Faye peers at Gren's halberd, "Yeah, Argenport's probably the safest place in Ignotus but that's not a big accomplishment, honestly. And sure, do you want to do that out here, or should we head up to your room and get some privacy there?" Compared to her general stance, Faye does look a little curious and concerned over this.

Gren pauses in his flailing, suddenly aware of what he's doing in front of his new teammates.
He holds his position for a moment before returning to a normal position, hands together contritely at his waist.
"Actually, now that you mention it, maaaaybe I better... yeah." And with that, red in the face, he abruptly leaves to go up to his room.

"We don't have to head in if you don't want to. It's not all that private, just... personal. I just didn't want to take up everybody's time with it." Viv fiddles with her hair awkwardly. "I mean, I can drop my stuff there either way."
She gives Gren a sidelong look as he darts inside. There's that trying-not-to-laugh expression again. "... Looks like he thought you were talking to him."

Drake walks inside, saying to the two left outside as he goes, "Well I need to drop off some stuff and make sure everything survived the trip, so I'll give you two some privacy. I shouldn't take too long."

Drake and Gren You step through the entrance and into the main hall of the guild, an expansive room with walls of a dark-coloured wood. The walls themselves are plastered with large pictures of the guild's exploits and explorations in Ignotus, with Faye visible in a few, and an assortment of oddities - bits of rock covered in unown-writing, oddly coloured plants and various other objects. Off to the side is a young man sat behind a desk typing away at a computer, who gives you a small nod as you enter before going back to his work. In the centre-back of the room are a large set of stairs, leading to the upper floors. --- (Upon heading up the stairs and making your way to your respective rooms) opening the door with your keycards, you enter a very plain room - everything bar the computer, sheets and floor are made of the same wood from downstairs, with the sheets a dark red and the floor covered in matching carpet. A window rests in the outer wall, giving you a nice view of the rest of the town.
Viviane Faye blinks in surprise, stifling her own laugh. "Eh, these things happen. While they're dumping their stuff, what did you want to talk about?"
(Apologies for the delay in posting, my life becomes organised again from Saturday and I may have accidentally closed the tab last time I started writing and got irritated at it, so this may be somewhat rushed. ;_;)
