As Thumper grabs Helen's ankle, Darius releases her. Girl and Pokemon fall into a heap on the ground as the glow vanishes from his eyes. "Go on," he rumbles. "Have your adventures. See the ruins. Fight Team Tempest. Beat the League, if you want. But stay out of my way. I won't be so kind next time." With that, he stalks off, telekinetically dragging the two snoring Tempest grunts behind him. Sasha and her Pokemon begin to stir. She sits up, removing her helmet. "Guess we screwed that up royally, didn't we," she says sheepishly to her Pokemon. Emolga stiffly gives a thumbs-up and a weak squeak in response.

Helen picks herself off the ground and stands silent for a few seconds, before Sasha's words register with her. The young trainer swings around and glares at Sasha. Helen's hand reaches towards Aku's Pokeball once more, as her fear and humiliation evaporate and reform as anger.
She would like nothing more than to beat on this woman. Hurt her. Make her feel as she just did. Pay the actions of Darius forward. Like most things Helen thinks or feels, these desires are written plainly on her face.
Helen keeps her gaze trained on Sasha for a few long seconds, before taking a deep breath and putting the ball containing her strongest Pokemon away. "No. I will not ask my Pokemon to stoop to that level... Not for a loser like you," she snarls softly.

Sasha gathers up her Pokemon, happily chattering to them about how they'll do better next time, clearly trying to put a good face on the fact that they just lost. She looks at Helen, either completely oblivious to how close she was to getting clobbered again or ignoring the anger plainly written on Helen's face. "Hey, where'd you get that Swablu?" she asks cheerfully. "I like cute Pokemon, so I'd love to be friends with one of those. D'ya know where to find one?"

Jamie notes the anger and humiliation on Helen's face and in her words, but isn't sure what he can say to calm her without offending her. He spares the woman on a nonplussed glance when she talks to Helen as if nothing had happened. Jamie was confused. How could a criminal treat her Pokemon so well? Criminals don't care about Pokemon, they steal them and trade them off like nothing. He looks away as if unable to resist saying something bad while looking at her. "You know, for someone we just fought 3 on 1, you didn't do too badly. If you were to consider a non-criminal career I'm sure you would do well. Darius doesn't care about you, he just left you here. There are reasons to be scared of him, but being one of his underlings shouldn't be one of them. Think about that."

Sasha gives Jamie a confused look. "'Doesn't care?'" she asks. "He took me in off the streets and gave me a place on the team. He personally fought off the people who were looking for me. He taught me how to fight. He goes out of his way to make sure the rich toffs in the team don't harass me." She looks away. "He's been more of a dad to me than my real dad ever was." She staggers to her feet, looking back at Jamie. "You ever have someone like that?" she asks. "Someone who helped you escape a bad situation and helps you become all you can be?" Jamie When you hear her explanation, you immediately think of what Professor Laurel did for you. You're struck by how similar your past is to Sasha's. OOC Now that her voice is no longer distorted by the helmet, you can hear her voice clearly. She sounds a lot like Harley Quinn.

Helen takes another deep breath, and shoots Jamie a glare, completely ignoreing Sasha's question. "Don't you dare call Tempest criminals. They are worse than that. Criminals just want to get rich. These... these... Zealots actually seem to think they are doing the right thing. At least Team Rocket could be paid off."
The girl's scowl twists into a dark smirk as she listens to Sasha talk about Darius. Helen closes her eyes and begins to imagine Darius watching footage of her beating Sasha up, and feeling just as helpless as he had made her feel.

Jamie stays impassive as Helen glares at him, though he does resist the urge to raise an eyebrow at her misdirected anger. "Zealots huh. I suppose I can see it," Jamie says, nodding. He turns to Sasha, remembering what Professor Laurel did for him. She gave him a place to stay, a place to work and gave him knowledge, she even gave him his first Pokemon. Had Laurel been a criminal however, Jamie would have turned her down hard, no matter whether she wanted to help him or not. "I do have someone like that, but you have to see that 'all you can be' is not what you are right now. The fact that he helped you out doesn't justify you becoming a zealot, criminal, whatever, a member of Team Tempest. You shouldn't have to do something like that out of gratitude. If Darius really wanted to help you, he would have told you to become an upstanding, productive member of society."
Jamie sighs. Talking to someone like this is really exhausting... She's totally brainwashed. I don't doubt she'd do anything Darius told her to do. Well, at least she doesn't make false judgments about people like he does. Calling me a criminal and thief... what an ass. He turns to Helen and frowns a little. The expression on her face does not bode well for anyone. He couldn't possibly know what she is thinking though and so he leaves her be. "Let's go get our Pokemon healed guys."

As Sasha recalls her Pokemon and limps away, you enter the Pokemon Center. Inside is a rustic waiting room, with wooden fixtures and visible technology kept at a minimum, though doubtlessly there will be more tech in the back. Wooden benches and chairs line the walls, with the original tree bark kept on to keep the whole "rustic" feeling. The front desk is similarly constructed; behind it is a door leading to the treatment center. A large screen overhangs the desk, with images of Pokemon and their statues. Most of the Pokemon on the screen are in critical condition. Nearby is a console, that can be used to communicate, trade Pokemon, or access the Pokemon Storage System. The benches and chairs are occupied by people of various ages and genders, about twenty in total. All of them are suffering from injuries indicating that they were struck by lightning; the injuries are of varying degrees, but don't seem fresh, as though they were struck a day or two ago. Two Chansey and an Audino move between the victims, checking on them, giving them food and pillows, and occasionally using a move like Healing Wish. A handsome young man in a lab coat also checks on the victims, using tools like a stethoscope to examine the patients. When he hears you enter, he looks up, and you notice that he has a name tag that says "Roy" on it. "Don't tell me you were struck, too!" he says in a slightly exasperated tone.

Helen looks around the Pokemon Center, and does her best to try and calm down. Roy's question is enough to snap her back to her old braggart ways. "Nah. We just need our Pokemon healed." Helen explains as she recalls thumper, "Had a little skirmish with one of those Tempest jerks, but we are fine."
She then pauses for a second and takes in the situation going on around her. "I have an Audino if you could use another hand. Looks like you guys are working at capacity."

Shako looks around the room, a little confused at the sight of everyone here. How come it looks like everyone has got hit by lightning? Isn't that a rare occurrence?

Roy accepts Helen's offer of help before turning to Shako with a sigh and a look of anger. "It was the actions of Team Tempest," he says bitterly. "Not even the goons- it was the actions of their black-clad leader! Here, let me show you." He pulls out a tablet, presses a few buttons on it, and shows you the screen, the image shaking as Roy's hand was shaking when he filmed this. On it, you see Darius and a Charizard, battling against the Pokemon of the 20 trainers currently in the Center- battling all of them at once. You realize with a start that this Charizard is a Holon Charizard- exactly the same one that you saw during the storm. Both of them fight in perfect synchronization, though to your eyes the Charizard is a bit too fond of Dragon Claw. Then you notice what it has around its neck: a collar, set with a Mega Stone, similar to the one Atticus had around his Camerupt. Though the pair are winning handily, Darius withdraws from combat slightly. He holds up a fist, and you see one of the studs on his gloves glowing- a small, concealed Key Stone. "Now, my old friend," Darius growls above the chaos, "let us end this." Lightning lances from the Mega Stone and the Key Stone, meeting halfway and forming a powerful stream of energy that causes Charizard to glow brightly- here the image shifts as Roy had flinched away from the light. When the camera refocuses, you see that the Charizard has changed, becoming more powerful-looking, with a sinister glint in its electric-blue eyes- a Mega Evolution. The powered-up Charizard roars its challenge, causing the other Pokemon the flinch away. Then, almost in response to the roar, the skies rapidly darken and rain pours downward. "Now show these plunderers the might we wield!" Darius shouts. " Holon's Wrath!" The Charizard roars once more at the skies, and this time, lightning of red, blue, yellow and white lances down, striking enemy trainers and Pokemon indiscriminately, knocking them all out and badly injuring them in the process. As it does, you notice the time stamp on the video: exactly when you were bushwhacked by the storm yesterday. As the last trainer sinks into unconsciousness, Darius gives a bleak smile of satisfaction. "When you recover," he rumbles, "tell the others that the Specialist has returned... and that your kind are no longer welcome in Holon." The video ends. "And I've been taking care of them ever since," Roy says. OOC That move- Holon's Wrath- is not a move you've ever heard of before, and it looks powerful. Given that it ignored the Lightning Rod ability of a Pikachu and the Volt Absorb ability of a Jolteon, this either marks the move as one that ignores a Pokemon's abilities, or that the Charizard has a way to get around a Pokemon's abilities. One thing is for sure: that Charizard is freakishly strong, even for a Holon Pokemon. Helen OOC You recognize the Mega Evolution as a Mega Charizard Y.

Helen sends out her audino, and instructs it to help with the injured, before settling in to watch the video. As the battle plays out, the anger returns to Helen's face, but is quickly replaced with fascination, and then straight up envy. "That is what a mega-evolved Holon Pokemon is capable of..."
She glances over to Audino, suddenly second guessing her promise to respect the Pokemon's dislike for battle. Right now it was the only Holon Pokemon in the group belonging to a species capable of Mega-Evolution, and that was a power Helen just had to wield someday.
Darius' statement at the end of the video snaps Helen back to her senses. "The Specialist?" she snorts, "Sounds like a rejected Team Forretress character!"
She then turns her attention back to Roy. "Are you familiar with Professor Laurel in Holon City? She actually hired us to research Holon Pokemon and check out the ruins here. I think she would find this video interesting... perhaps even enlightening. We were about to call and send her some Pokemon anyway, would you mind uploading that file to the console so we could pass it along as well?"

"So, Darius is the Specialist?" Jamie asked out loud, mostly talking to himself. "That explains his strength," he continues, now talking to Helen and Shako. "The Specialist is single-handedly the reason that Team Rocket didn't enter Holon. There are also rumors that he defeated all seven Dragon Lords in what's supposed to have been an epic battle in his castle near Peak City. I guess what we should take away from that is that this is an opponent on the level of the Dragon Lords. We'll have to get a whole lot stronger if we want to be able to defend ourselves from him and I think we'll have to do that if nothing else at least because to him we're also 'plunderers'. Also, Shako didn't that Charizard look familiar? He must have been watching us for a while now."
Jamie sighs. "But enough about that ass." He turns to Roy. "Will it take long to get our Pokemon healed?"

After watching the disturbing video, Shako just can't get over the feeling that no pokemon is safe from that Charizard. He could did that to us at any time. Why didn't he? Its obvious that Charizard is the same from the storm; is he following us or is it coincidence? He turns to Jamie, I believe that was the Charizard that was above the storm the other day. The one that dropped those used Giga Drain TMs on the ground. He then turns to grab his pokemon to get healed, Yes Roy, how long do you think? If you are too busy we can wait. These people are way more in need of help than us right now.

Roy sighs. "I'm not sure how long it'll take," he says. "Most of the Pokemon in the back are critically injured and can't be moved. "I can set you up on the PC to talk to Professor Laurel, if you like."

Roy leads you to the PC, and with a few deft taps on the keyboard sets up the video chat before going back to caring for the patients. The screen is blank for a moment before flickering on and Laurel's worried visage appears. Upon seeing you, she immediately relaxes. "Oh, thank goodness," she says. "When I heard that Team Tempest attacked the ruins, I was worried that you guys might've gotten hurt. I'm glad to see that you're okay."

"We are fine." Are the words Helen chooses to answer, but the girl's face betrays her emotional distress nonetheless. "Turns out the Tempest mooks are not as scary as they were made out to be. Their leader pissed me off though, and I don't think I'm going to be strong enough to do anything about it soon."Helen then takes a deep breath. She would learn all she could of Darius' tricks from the professor, so that some day she would be able to hurt him. "I'm guessing you saw the video then. Do all Holon Pokemon get that strong when they mega-evolve? Or is that Holon's Wrath technique something Team Tempest figured out and haven't shared with the rest of us?"
As she speaks she produces the Pokeball containing the Holon Spinda, and glances the PC over, trying to figure out how to send the Pokemon over. CGdfoI2s2d6[/roll] Tech Edu if required for Pokemon Transfer.

Laurel takes a look at the video, pausing it on Charizard's frighteningly effective move, Holon's Wrath. "I... I've never seen that move," she whispers. "I've never even heard of it before now. I don't know what kind of Pokemon that Charizard is, but it's far too strong for its apparent level. I don't know what training it was put through, but it must've been intense indeed to produce a Pokemon so fearsome." Helen There's a convenient terminal next to the PC, with a slot sized for a Pokeball. There's also a big red button on it labeled "Send." Not like you could read it, of course, but the function seems obvious.
