Rattata's Run Away ability helps it slip away without being attacked, but Murkrow's high speed easily reaches the rattata and knocks it out with ease.
The rattata begins to fade away leaving behind 125 En and granting you 15 exp to use as you please.

Panting, Helios runs up to the remains of the rattata and picks up his sweet loot.
"Whew, that thing was fast. Return, Astraeus."
Recalling his bird, Helios consults the map once more.
Okay, looks like there's one room left to look at, then I'll have to go into that nasty room again...
He heads off to the southern-most room in the forest.

The previously made map allows you to navigate your way south with ease. However, as you come to the split, your luck pays off as you notice a group of 2 zangoose and 3 seviper quarreling. From looking at them, they seem to be rather tough pokemon to take on even 1 on 1, but luckily they are too enthralled in their fight to notice you.

Hmm, these look strong. Maybe I should catch one...
Sending out Astraeus again, Helios tells the bird to be quiet, but get ready. As soon as one of the combatants goes down, the rest should be weak enough to fight.

As the battle goes on, you notice that one seviper has slowed down heavily and is attempting to retreat towards the south east path. Its two companions are trying to distract the zangoose long enough to cover its escape though its clear that the seviper is going to pass out soon.
Determined to end the battle and aid its companion, one seviper lunges forward and bites into the neck of one of the zangoose. It desperately clamps down, only to have the zangoose easily jab its claw into the seviper's body. This seviper slowly begins to fade into vitas.
The other zangoose did not fare so well as the seviper was able to damage the zangoose's leg with a well place bite. Seeing the other seviper impaled scared it into running away into the treeline, abandoning all hope of helping its injured friend.
Although they could go to find the remaining injured seviper, the healthier zangoose instead decides to help his injured companion by acting as a crutch for him to move him somewhere safer to recover. The two zangoose are retreating along to north eastern path.

"Quickly Astraeus, before it gets away, chase down that Seviper with Pursuit!"Turning to the limping pair of Zangoose with a gleam in his eye, Helios pulls his sole pokeball out of his bag. "Okay now, it's time for you to come with me."With this, he tosses the ball at the injured Zangoose. Pursuit: 15 vs AC 2, 33 physical Dark
Pokeball: 12 vs AC 6, capture roll of 18

The Seviper, currently on its last legs turns around just as a blur rams straight into it. The Seviper lets out a cry as it goes down and falls unconscious. It slowly turns to vitas and leaving behind 500 En and a piece of Teak Wood. You also gain 5 pokemon exp for dealing the final blow.
Meanwhile, as the Zangoose are slowly making their way down the path, Helios's pokeball manages to easily hit its mark. The weakened Zangoose is unable to put up any resistance and the pokeball successfully seals it in. The second zangoose looses its footing as the weight he was helping to carry suddenly vanished. It turns back to spot Helios down the path and easily put two and two together. It stampedes towards you before stopping in front of Helios's face and letting out a very angry growl.

Helios takes a shaky step backwards. "Uhh, nice Zangoose. I'm not tasty at all, oh no..."Then he breaks and runs, flinging blasts of magic over his shoulder while simultaneously also yelling for Astraeus to come to his aid and putting up a shield of magic with his off hand. Unfortunately Astraeus is too far away to reach him this turn, though the bird flies as fast as it can. Helios casts Swift, for 31 Normal Special damage, and also erects a Directed Barrier for 7 DR until his next turn.
He then Shifts for his paltry Overland of 4 in a panic back towards the fork in the path

The zangoose advances towards Helios with flaring nostrils. It doesn't flinch as the various stars hit his body and he continues to advance towards you, easily preventing you from outrunning him. The zangoose, now immediately next to Helios sharpens its claws against each other. Meanwhile Astraeus is close enough that it can now barely reach the zangoose's back. Zangoose uses Hone Claws to boost its attack and accuracy!

Since Helios is still wailing for Astraeus to hurry up and help him, the Murkrow flies up behind the Zangoose, distracting it for long enough for his master to jump back out of the reach of the Zangoose's menacing claws. As soon as he is clear, Helios fires a basic attack spell from his wand and brings up another miniature barrier. Using the second use of Signature Manipulation on a Directed Barrier
Helios Disengages, moving 1m away from the Zangoose, while Astraeus gets in melee range.
Struggle attack: 14 vs AC 4, 34 Normal Special damage.

The zangoose appears to have felt that last attack as stops for a moment to get its bearing before deciding that the annoying bird behind him needs to go first. However, its wild swings are clearly not focused as it misses entirely.

Backing away a little farther, Helios fires his signature Swift attack at the foe once more, putting all his power behind the strike - he wanted this fight over with. Astraeus was a bit less effective, his peck attempts foiled by the swinging of the Zangoose's claws. Helios loses 7 HP and spends 1 AP to use Power Overdrive on the swift.
Swift hits for 46 Special Normal damage.

The zangoose feels the effects of the attack yet again as they pound into its stomach. It doubles over, not expecting so much power behind the flying stars. It gives you one last angry look, before trying to swipe at Astraeus unsuccessfully on its way down; Astraeus's feathers do, however, seem a bit more ruffled than before. The zangoose slowly vanishes into Vitas, leaving behind some en in its wake. Having finished the battle, you notice that the day will be coming to an end soon. You have the opportunity to reach the room at the south east, but not much else by the time the sun sets. You gain 500 En and 30 pokemon exp to use as you please.

Helios stands up straighter and brushes off his robes, thankful that nobody had been around to see his little panic attack. He returns Astraeus and collects the fallen loot, then heads to the final room of the dungeon.

In the final room of the dungeon, Helios is unable to spot anything of importance right away. It appears that the earlier tussle may have scared off any nearby pokemon. However, not a moment after you walk in you can see a tail, similar to a seviper, push out something onto the ground nearby before retreating into the trees. It appears to be a peace offering of a 2 oran berries and a pecha berry.

Helios gladly scoops up the berries, having no wish to go rooting through the underbrush for the remaining seviper. Spinning on his heel and humming a little tune as he walks away, he idly wonders if he still has time to check behind the FOE door.
Probably not, but he'll definitely take a quick walk into the smelly room for the harvest point when he gets there. It won't take a minute. He hopes.

As Helios makes his way back through the dungeon, he finds that the repugnant room has yet to clear. Someone appears to have put up a small note on the door reading: Beware of smell, bring some wind and some sweet scent. The search point glows gently revealing 2 Aloe and a Shea Fruit for your efforts but the stench causes you to lose a tick of hp as you exit the room coughing.

Vowing never to in there again without some preventative measures (seriously, it wasn't worth it), Helios takes a look at the fading sunlight and decides it's time to make his way out of the forest. It wouldn't do to get stuck here at night, when his powers were at their lowest.
Sneaking behind the FOE would have to wait for some other time. Or maybe he'd just come back with allies when everybody was stronger and fight the thing; sneaking had never really been his forte.
Either way, he was tired of all this mucking about again, it was time to go back to the guild hall and get some much-needed rest.
