The attack came without warning. Three days out from what the leaders of the Caravan called "The Green Building," they swooped down out of the darkness and attacked. Who were they? Certainly, they looked human. Men and women, garbed in strange clothes and bearing weapons of a quality far and away greater than anything the Caravan could muster. Their Pokemon were similarly stronger- second and third forms were common among them. But there was nothing human about what they did. You remember that cold look in their eyes- a look that told you your life meant less than nothing to them- and the cold, machine-like precision they executed the people and Pokemon you spent your whole life with. You never saw anything like it. Somehow, you and your Pokemon survived the massacre. Cowering, running, hiding, however it was done, you watched with sheer terror, fear like you've never felt before, as they obliterated your friends and family, the people you had known for your whole life. When it was over, the bodies were left where they fell, with the bodies of the Caravan's leaders impaled on long poles. That being done, the vehicles that composed the Caravan were then efficiently dismantled, their vital components broken and shattered beyond repair, with anything such as food and water taken, and the rest destroyed. As it dawned on you that the Caravan- the one place you knew as home- has been destroyed, a woman leaped atop a husk of a car, and the raiders assembled before her, giving you a good look at their numbers- hundreds of them, more than the entire Caravan. "Our holy duty is done," she said. "The First Sons stand victorious once more!" Cheers of triumph, the first emotion that they showed during the entire night, erupted from the raider's throats. They raised their weapons in salute, before following her back from whence they came. Too frightened to move, you huddled where you were, watching this tableaux, wondering if this was merely a bad dream. Only when the first rays of the sun crept over the horizon ten minutes later, illuminating the carnage, do you realize that this is a frightening new reality. Your home, your friends, your family..... everything you knew and loved was obliterated. You had long wondered if any humans had survived the apocalypse of five centuries ago. Never had it dawned on you that the survivors would be anything less than friendly. As you creep back into the remains of your former home, you see other figures do the same- figures you recognize. It seems you were not the sole survivor after all.... ǧǻȂȆǸƳȆȈȅȉǼȉȂȅȆƳȌȂȈƳȆǸǸƳǴȅǸƳȇǻǸƳȂȇǻǸȅƳȃǿǴȌǸȅƳǶǻǴȅǴǶȇǸȅȆǁƳǧǻǼȆƳǼȆƳȇǻǸƳȃǴȅȇƳȊǻǸȅǸƳȌȂȈƳȀǸǸȇƳǴȁǷƳǹȂȅȀƳȌȂȈȅƳȃǴȅȇȌǀƳȌȂȈȅƳȂȅǼǺǼȁƳȆȇȂȅȌƿƳǼǹƳȌȂȈƳȊǼǿǿǁǏǵȅǑǪǸǿǶȂȀǸƳȇȂƳȇǻǸƳǔȃȂǾǸǿȌȃȆǸƳǡȂȊƳǶǴȀȃǴǼǺȁƴƳǘȁǽȂȌƳȇǻǸƳȅǼǷǸƴË

Mom's first priority was to see if anything of the plants she took care for survived. As she only found 1 portable grower that was useful, she got a little hope. Then she looked around what the others were doing. Emma, her litleo, stood beside her. "Well Emma, seems we are not the only ones who managed to survive." Min keeps looking at them, afraid to approach any of them. She looks for a moment at Emma and then back to the others. "Yes Emma, we should stick together, I know. But you know me, dealing with people is hard." Min then sighs. "Well, let's do it then." She then gets closer to the rest, looking where they gathered.

Julia and Eric put up a good fight, but there was only so much a still-fairly-inexperienced girl and Chespin could do against the powerful attackers. Eventually she'd had to wedge herself further against the rock she'd made her stand against and play dead to make the couple of them that had chased her off from the main caravan leave off. She peeped over the top of Eric's shell as the First Sons' leader gave her little speech. Holy duty... huh? What are they on about?
Now, with the sunlight slowly spreading over the wreck of the caravan, the two of them creep back to assess the damage. There are Mom and Dad with the rest of the leaders, staked out for the Murkrow, and their Quilladin and Donphan down at their feet. When Julia turns away, she's got little marks from biting her lip and digging her nails into her palms to keep herself from crying. Now isn't the time for a breakdown... she's got to figure out if anyone else survived and get people organized. After all, who else is going to take charge?
She's got a couple of snacks and balls that she grabbed when the attack came, and she digs a pan and a couple of utensils out of the wreckage of what had been the kitchen car. As she looks up from that, she sees Min picking over the plants. She rubs Eric's head gently. "Let's go, boy. We've got work to do. Don't let them see you cry." Though she's probably the one still sniffling. She takes a deep breath before waving to her. "Min, over here!"

Min sees Julia waving to her. She waves back and runs towards Julia. She stops running when she is in suitable talking range. She takes a moment to catch her breath, before facing Julia. Her euphoric feeling of before has disappeared already. Terror crept in again, as she noticed everyone who died while she ran. But that was not all, she did not even find a suitable plant, and doubt of their survival chances crept back in her. She had tried to use that moment to catch her breath to calm herself down, but it did not help much. So the look she gave Julia, was a look of a terrified person. It is even hearable in her voice, when she starts asking things. "Julia, you survived. J-just what will we do now? How will we survive the coming days without everyone?"
Min looks around her quickly, first left and then right, before looking at Julia again. She could not suppress the feeling that it would be over for them soon as well. Just a portable grower, not even one plant has been found. She nearly let panic take her over. No, I must believe in Julia, she knows what to do. Right?

Reks looked on from beyond some felled trees, his faithful Skout there beside him. I hope more made it out, he thought to himself. He watches in horror, as the leaders are piked as a warning to others. These bastards will get what's coming to them, they will see true hatred. It was then when the sun started to come out, and the murderous raider gang decided to leave. It was some time before Reks decided to even budge from his hiding spot, his brother told him to keep running and don't stop. He just couldn't leave, where would he go, how would he survive alone. These were only some of the questions that flooded his terrified mind.
It was then, when Skout nudged Reks' body loose from the thoughts that plagued him. He snapped to, noticed 2 people talking to each other by the torn apart wagons. Did others make it too? Maybe all wasn't lost. Maybe I could find Deks still. He looks on for a bit, just trying to see who made it. Is that Julia and MIn? He stands up from behind the trees, and looks to Skout. Okay Skout, you keep a look out for more survivors. And watch in case any more of those cowardice raiders come back okay? Skout just stays by Reks' side, keeping a watchful eye out for others. Reks makes it about 50 feet, and then yells out to Min and Julia. Hey you two! Glad to see you're safe!
He finally gets up to them, eyes keep looking around for more survivors. Maybe he could still find Deks. Is there more of us that made it? He looks at the others with hopeful enthusiasm.

Dead. All dead. Row of twelve bodies, cleaned and treated. Chances of them coming back now... none, yes. Come out, Spore. Cloaked men in gasmask checked out his supplies. There was almost nothing. And most of what was left after attack he spent trying to patch these people up. Now, for other part... Most curious. Three people, probably from our caravan. Investigate. Cloak decided to approach the pair. No damage confirmed, no. Good. Group of four, chances of our survival rise, yes. As he said that, he visibly relaxed his stance. Fascinating, isn't it? Other people alive. Not from our group, no. Technologically advanced, yes. Yes... it's fascinating indeed. Paras scuttled around few times, before approaching Min and clenching slightly to her leg for few moments. "Par, Par!" Cloak looked at scene, amused. Pokemon interacting with someone other than it's owner. Now that was interesting sight...

"Oh, Reks." Min said when Reks greeted them. She still was not over her panic, and was still pessimistic about their future. "I-I don't think others survived," she says when suddenly, she feels something at her leg. Min jumps back and lets out a scream. She falls on the floor and looks at the Paras.
Just a paras. Calm down Min, this is bad for you. She looks up at the rest, expecting laughter from them. She then notices Cloak. "Oh, maybe more survived."

Julia bit her lip, looking around the wreckage. Herself, Min, Reks, and Cloak. Was that really all? Four people and four Pokémon, out of the whole caravan? Her hand clenched around the paper she'd picked up out of the ruins around where the leaders had fallen, the map that showed where they'd been going. If this Green Building was even really still there...
Low and tense, she murmured, "I don't see anybody else." She let out a deep breath and took a few steps toward Cloak - if any of the injured were still alive, he'd be the one to know - but she whirled around abruptly when Min screamed. It looked like Cloak's Paras had just startled her, but she leaned down just to make sure. "Are you okay?"
She looked back up at the others again once she was sure Min was alright. "Is anybody just injured, Cloak? Are any of them going to make it? What about you, Reks, did you see anybody else?" A sharp eye might just have noticed that she was avoiding turning in the direction of the leaders' bodies... though avoiding looking at the remains of her parents and the others was really no surprise.

"Not many medications survived assault, and I used most of them trying to save more people, yes. He moved both his hands to side, as if to make big annoucement. Looks like we are all that's left, yes... My, why so tense, all of you? His tone was one of person amused. We defeated the odds, yes! Four people survived, estimated number was this much. - He shown four fingers, and then hid two. - Such a shame that I tried saving more... such a waste, yes, medicine for dead...

Reks turns to Cloak punches him in the shoulder. Be more considerate! It's never a waste to try to save people! He then leans in close to him and whispers. Can't you see these 2 are scared? Try to have some empathy. We all just lost family, and friends. He turns back to the others, putting on a hopeful face. I'm sure more made it, maybe they hid like we were able to. Maybe they ran somewhere safe! He turns and looks around, trying not to let the dead bodies get to him. I know Deks isn't alive, those cowards cut him down right infront of me. These bastards will pay, but first we need to get out of here. Okay everyone, I think we need to leave. We need to find some place safer, in case those cowards come back. He looks at the group for agreement.

"But, where should we go to?" Min asks while she gets up. "And yes Julia, I am fine." Min looks at Reks, hoping he has some ideas. "Oh, and how will we stay alive. I know I can cook for you, but..." Min looks around to everyone, with doubt on her face. "I lost all the useful plants for survival. All of them were ruined. Or, did any of you find some?"
Min then turns to Emma. "I didn't mean to scare you, Emma. We will be fine." Min starts to pet her Litleo to calm her down as well. "Well, what is the plan?"

Reks looks at the group. Thinking for a moment. How are we going to survive? I can hunt and gather, Min can cook, Cloak well.. Cloak can do medic stuff. And even though Julia didn't look it, she could handle herself in a fight. He looks back up at the others, It's not going to be easy, I'm not saying it's a walk in the park. There will be struggles, but if we stick together and work as a team we can make it. If there is anything that last night taught us is, we are not alone in this world. Maybe there are more people that survived way back when, not everyone out there will be murderous cowards like them. We have to hope that we can find a place to call home, that is safe from the elements and the first sons. We can make it, we will make it.

"Yeah, keep your heads up. If we give up now, we may as well just stay right here." Julia's voice shook a little, until she took a breath and steadied herself. "We have to keep going, for the sake of everyone who can't. I found the map to the Green Building, the place we were headed."
The map got a bit scrunched up in her hand, but she smoothed it out now and turned it around to show it to the others. "It's three days from here, they said. And I mean, we've got the best farmer, the best doctor, and the best hunter in the caravan, right? We can forage as we go, we'll find some more plants, everything. If the leaders were taking us to this Green Building they must have had a goal in mind. We can find more resources there, probably. And like Reks says, we know we're not alone anymore - if we can find allies, we'll all be able to do even better. For everybody's sake, we have to survive."

Min looks from Julia to her Litleo. "Did you hear that Emma? She called me the best farmer." Min feels shortly proud of herself, but then begins to worry. Her chaotic mind finally started to work again. So many scenarios she thinks up, so many questions appears in her mind.
Wait, the green building? What would be there? Will there be plants, food, or water? Would it be good to continue? What if the First Sons live there? If they lived there, they would have waited, so they would not have to take our stuff. Or did they not want to clear the bodies at their base? What if they were just protecting it? We should turn back. No, they might be going towards the path we came from, in case they suspect more to come. What do we need to do? Staying here won't help. Should we run away, go back, or continue on? And so keeps her mind going. To others, she seems to be a little absent, not hearing what they are saying anymore.

Julia was right, Min was the best farmer we had; and even though Cloak was cold and calculated he was the best with medicine anyone has seen in a long time. Julia was a natural born leader, her parents taught her well. There was one thing Reks knew, he was not the best hunter in the caravan. If only Deks was here, he'd be able to help more than I can. But I have to be strong, for the others.
Do you know which way we have have to go Julia? I will follow you to the green building, if that is where we are going. We all need to stick together if we are to make it there.

Cloak just stood aside. "Survive, yes.... that's a good plan, to survive. Lead on, Julia." - he said. Green building, could be true, yes.... hope increases chances for survival. "If that building exist, chance for peaceful encounter exists, yes." Twelve percent, no more...

"Well, I figure you're probably a better navigator, Reks, but like I said, it's on the map here." She holds it out to show the others. It's... not the most helpful map in the world, without much in the way of scale or landmarks, but it shows a route if nothing else.
Julia has worries of her own, though. She's honestly not sure just how the leaders came by the map, or even the knowledge of the Green Building; if it's something that's been passed down in the traditions of the caravan she doesn't think she's learned of it yet. And now she never will - no, wait, best not to think about that. But they were following this map when the First Sons attacked; could that mean the Green Building was in their territory? Worse, if it wasn't part of the traditions of the caravan, could the map itself have been a trap?
But she can't let the others see her doubts. Her fingers tap lightly against Erik's armored head, and he scoots a little closer next to her leg. "First order of business is to gather whatever supplies we can get. Salvage what we can, forage for more..." She trails off, glancing around the caravan wreckage. She hates the idea of leaving their friends and family to the scavengers, but there are four of them to the whole caravan - there's no way they can spare the time and effort to bury them all.

Reks looks the map up and down. Seems simple enough, I'm sure I could do it. He looks back at Julia, I can take point if you'd like, you hold onto the map though. Need to keep it safe, and I'm sure you won't let anyone mess with it. He smirks a little. She obviously could handle herself, and her Chespin would protect her. He would be better suited up front, as a lookout, scouting for trouble and/or possible friends.
Alright, we should be heading out soon before the day is already half gone. I know we all have lost someone here today, and I know in our hearts we should do something to honour them. But they would want us to focus on survival first. So lets hold them in our hearts while we press on to the Green building.
Reks motions for everyone to start heading out, picking up supplies as he goes. Skout following close beside him, ears constantly moving, listening for threats.

Min feels Emma bugging her her leg. She looks down at her. "Sorry little one, I was just lost in thoughts." She then looks at the others again. Yes, Reks is right, the longer we stay here, the lower our chances of survival. She follows Reks as he starts to move.

Leaving the Caravan and the bodies of your friends and families behind is one of the hardest things you have ever done; it takes all your willpower to fight back the tears and to leave the bodies to the scavengers and the elements. The remains of your former home become smaller and smaller in the distance as you make your way through the undulating grass of the plains, and by noon, the Caravan is out of sight. However, everything around you looks exactly the same. It'll be very easy to start wandering in circles, if you're not careful, and with the grass reachin knee height, and sometimes up to your waist, you could easily get seperated from your Pokemon. However, you quickly realize that you're far from the only living thing out here. In the distance, you see a herd of Chikorita and Bayleaf, led by an imposing-looking Meganium, march steadily through the grass. Above you fly a couple of Starly, and your steps disturb a resting group of Hoppip. You hear the distant sound of Pokemon snarls, and after a panicked moment believing that the First Sons are back, you realize that an Arbok is battling a Deerling, and seemingly winning. You may be the only humans left in the area, but you're far from the only organisms around...
