Dmitri's Wormadam avoids the Draining Kiss and goes in for another Bug Bite.

Nathan and Dmitri go back and forth for awhile, but Nathan's Gorebyss eventually outlasts Dmitri's Wormadam. Victory for Cerulean! Dmitri sighs as he recalls his last Pokemon. He decides he clearly needs more training, and leaves after handing over 1,000 PYen.
Nathan takes this money and tells Lia that any prize money earned by Gym Trainers goes towards the Gym itself, and eventually back into their salaries.
Lia gains 67 Poke XP and 1 Trainer XP.1d20+2·2d8+16

It takes a bit but Nathan wins it out. Waiting until after Dimitri leaves (As she knows how that end of the spectrum feels), she slaps Nathan on the back.

Nathan merely grumbles something like 'I'm at work...', though this doesn't seem to bother Missy any. Nathan sighs and gives in to Missy's pestering. He removes her from his back and says that he'll let her stay if she's quiet. Turning back to you, he says that your next opponent is a "Fisherman Sam", who specifically requested a Single Battle with two Pokemon each.

Los takes the rock blow quite well, although she feels just a tad more sluggish. She goes to bite more but is told to hold back by Lia, and instead it decides to hit a water attack on the Relicanth to do a bit less damage to the nearly-unconscious pokemon. Brutal Orders
