The girl rolls her eyes. "Clearly you know much less than even you believe. This isn't 'fusion', it's genetic manipulation. Fusion would be the combining of two separate bodies. That's not how it went down. I'll spare you the scientific details that would likely go over your head anyway and suffice it to say that my very DNA has been changed. Mixed with that of a Glaceon." She pauses a moment. "Alright, I'll grant that it's perhaps a kind of fusion. Your friend Sasha is likely the same. If I recall correctly, I am approximately 60% Glaceon and 40% human at this point. Yes, you heard me. I'm more Pokemon than human. So far as I know, this process is irreversible. I wouldn't have minded as much if they didn't decide I needed to be caged and experimented on further." She sighs, shaking her head. "Those fools don't even fully understand what they're doing. They're just riding the coattails of those smarter than them. Acting on stolen research."
She suddenly shuts up, as if realizing she's perhaps said too much. She quickly changes subjects.
"As to your offer... I suppose having somewhat intelligent conversation might be nice for a change. I'll forewarn you that I can't stand temperatures above 5 degrees Celsius, so I may end up freezing part of your home."

Lia rolls her eyes back.
"I was just using it as a term, I know it's more genetic than that, no need to get your non-existent panties in a bunch."
She also shakes her head at the 'over your head' bit. Why do smart people ALWAYS have to be assholes to Lia? She listens to the rest before she suddenly stops and changes subjects.
"So people figured out a code to play Arceus and then some class acts swooped in and decided to mess with something they didn't really understand? Sounds about right..."
But then that does bring up an interesting dilemma. The people Lia is after weren't the FIRST to get this done. Hmmm. But deep in Seafoam while Lia is very tired is not a good place to talk. And this woman didn't seem to want to continue for now. But it's clear Lia can't let this one go. Not with the info in her head. She's now the best lead Lia's got.
"I upgraded us to a big villa a while back. There's some room to freeze for you. I'm sure any of our colder temperature pokemon will probably love it anyway."
Lia looks to her.
"So it was late when I started to head down, so I'm going to the surface to camp. So uhhh... I guess I didn't get your name yet."

"Hm?" She asks, seemingly lost in thought. "Oh, yes, introductions. I suppose since you gave me yours, it's only fair I do the same. My name is Celestyna. You may call me 'Celeste' if you prefer. Also, that reminds me: What exactly were you thinking coming down here by yourself? Surely you're a capable trainer to have made it to the lowest level and back alive, but it just strikes me as needlessly reckless. Not that it's any of my business, of course. Call it idle curiosity."
Judging by how much she's rambling, it seems like she was more desperate for a 'proper' conversation than she is willing to admit. She could very easily just shut up and let Lia lead the way out or something. Instead, she keeps talking. Must be lonely down here with only Pokemon focused on survival of the fittest to 'speak' to.

"Ok, Celestyna then."
Lia begins walking out with her in tow.
"I came for information on that portal that was literally under your feet that you seem to think wasn't there. There's similar ones that have shown up in Rock Tunnel and Mt Moon, both that me and my friends encountered. Both had weird mutant Sableye that you might have seen around but the big attractions were a huge Kabutops in Mt Moon, a huge version of the mutant sableye in Rock Tunnel, and then what looked to be some sort of cross between a Mega Gardevoir and a Lampent here. I was coming here for info cause I'm working with someone to try to figure out how to catch something like that Kabutops. ...Maybe the one here too or instead. Kinda indecisive now."
Lia pulls out her dex and plays the video she took for D'mara to show Celestyna. She's hoping if she's liberal with her end, maybe she will be back?
"As for why alone? Well I didn't really have anyone to go with me that I wanted to bother. My girlfriend had a unpleasant encounter with the woman I'm working with, although that was a while ago and even though I feel like she's a different person now that wouldn't be rude in the way she was, maybe she still holds a grudge. I don't know. The only other person I know who I could reliably count on in a place like this has been busy with his own shit and I'm just a tad mad at him."
She rubs her arms thinking about it more.
"Maybe I just wanted to do something on my own and be successful instead of just sitting around home, I suppose."

Celestyna looks oddly at Lia. "I honestly have no idea what you're talking about. The only ways down to the lowest level of this cave system require either swimming or flying, and I cannot do either. I've never seen anything like what you describe, and it's not as if I get news from the outside way down here." She does watch the video with interest, however. "How very curious. Some of my former colleagues had often posited that 'portals' to 'other worlds' might exist, and there is a lot of recent evidence to support the existence of multiple 'worlds' or even multiple 'realities'. Of course, that's a bit of a heavy topic, even for the brightest of scientists and scholars. Point being, it's always been suspected that such things as what you've shown me might exist, though it's strange for the first 'real' proof of other worlds to be from a place seeming so very different to our own." She nods, mostly to herself. "Yes, I can definitely understand going to great lengths to find tangible proof of something you have experienced before. I still think coming by yourself was terribly reckless of you, but it's not really my place to judge. We barely know one another, after all."
She falls silent again for a moment, then looks at Lia. "That reminds me though, how did you get down to the lowest level and back up again? It's far too icy in that hole to climb in either direction safely, so you must have used some sort of flying or levitating Pokemon; as a human cannot hold their breath long enough to navigate the waterways. Did you have some sort of plan for getting back in the morning? I doubt you anticipated needing to transport a passenger."

"It might have been reckless, but that's really just who I am I guess..."
Lia feels a bit uncomfortable on this whole situation, so she changes the subject to the more tangible things at the end.
"As for the hole, I brought my Volcarona with me and she carried me up and down. She's a bit tired now after all that. I'll have to remember to thank her well and good. As for a plan, yeah I'm not sure yet. Really once we hit the mainland we'd be fine. That 'can't go over 5 degrees' thing is a bit of a hinderence but I'm sure we could just get a cart from somewhere, I come back to you and we freeze and then you can just nap in there while one of my many big pokemon rides us north. It's getting to the mainland that'll be tricky, as I'm sure you aren't up for a super-long swim."

"No, I'm afraid I'm not a very strong swimmer. That pool near where you found me isn't more than a dozen meters deep at best, so not a lot of swimming involved. Even were I a decent swimmer, I'm certain I'd pale in comparison to something built for it. In the end though, I'll leave it to you to come up with some way to get me back to...wherever it is you live."
The idle conversation passes the time as Lia and her new companion? make their way back up to the surface. Celestyna opts to stay further inside the much cooler cave while Lia sets up camp just inside the mouth of it.

After enough sleep to run on, Lia wakes up early cause she's got a hell of a trip back now that she's got a passenger. She packs up and heads inside to where her new 'friend' was sleeping.
"Yo, Celestyna, you awake yet? I may need you to to ice us up a raft."

Celestyna is, in fact, awake already and chowing down on some raw fish that she caught at some point. When did she do that, and just how deep of a sleeper does that make Lia? Who knows! She looks up as Lia approaches.

Lia gestures to her.
"Once you are finished with your food there, unless you want to wait here for me to fetch a bigger swimmer hours and hours from now, I need your help. If you can freeze us enough of a chunk of land to keep you cool and for my Sharpedo to pull us to shore."

She finishes the single fish she was eating and gestures to the large pile of fish she seems to have gathered at some point. "Actually, I had a thought. While you were sleeping, I did a lot of fishing and struck a bargain with a local." At that exact moment, a Walrein rumbles out of the water, pushing a huge chunk of glacier.
"In exchange for all this fish, Walrein here has provided what we need. She will do no more, but I figured she wouldn't need to since your own swimmer was planned to do the hard part anyway." She turns to the Walrein, thanking it as she motions at the fish pile again. It quickly gobbles it all up and then rumbles its approval before leaving for the water again.

"Well that solves that problem."
Lia lets out a rejuvinated Los, who's a bit confused by the fuzzy blue lady next to Lia. Lia gets out a bit of rope and ties it to her sharky.
"Ok Los, we are going to go straight north to the mainland. You are going to pull the big ice chunk here that has us two on it, ok?"

Los gives Lia an odd look, but is determined to do this to prove her badassery. Not that she needs to. Celestyna hops onto the ice chunk and grabs onto the excess rope so she doesn't slide off while they're being pulled.
~Several Hours later~
Los finally pulls in just outside of Fuschia City, keeping to the less-traveled paths by Lia's request.

After a rather akward few hours (and tiring for Los), they dismount into Fuschia. She recalls Los for a good rest. Lia then looks to Celestyna.
"I don't know if you want to freeze up a hiding place or stay here on the ice, but I'm going to find us a cart or something so you can just temp drop the insides and chill all the way up to Cerulean. Seems easier than trying to sneak you on foot all the way north. So unless you got a better idea, I'm going to go find one."
Lia then de-parka's herself and heads into the town hoping to buy/rent a cart or something to sneak her back to her ranch.

Celestyna reclines on the ice block while Lia heads out. Buying a cart is surprisingly difficult in Fuschia, but Lia eventually manages to haggle a man for a small-ish one for just 3k Pyen.

It takes some finangling to get the money together but Lia does it, and after switching Ply out for Jazda, Lia returns and attaches the card to Jazda. This is a lot for this woman who hasn't been fully nice to her, but the information in her head is too valuable. And at the very least, maybe Eve gets a friend? We'll see.
"Ok, got it. Just freeze the inside and you can take a cryo nap while we get you up north."

Celestyna examines the cart for a moment. "I hope you didn't pay too much for this, as it's unlikely to last long after the journey is finished." Nevertheless, she climbs inside after giving it a quick freeze-dry.

Lia mumbles something about 'not getting used after either way' before covering the cart.
"Just hold tight for a while... and let me know if you need anything cause it's a bit of a trek. Jazda, let's roll."
Lia pats Jazda on the head and walks alongside him back north, heading toward the ranch.

On foot, it takes most of the remainder of the day just to reach Celadon.

Lia waits for a patrol group to pass by, then sees her opportunity. Just after managing to sneak outside with her new 'companion', she feels a sharp pain in her back as the woman stabs her with a concealed switchblade! She rips the Mega Choker off of Lia's neck in the process.
