She rolled her eyes, "and I said, I'd tell her. She's very busy with the groom with preparing for the wedding."
"Now shove off." she said.

Ovelia glanced over the woman's shoulder, debating testing her by using her speed to move for the boat. If she trusted the woman or if the woman hadn't been so dismissive, Ovelia would have had no problem just waiting. The issue was she didn't trust the woman not to wait way too long. "Well, I'm not busy, so I suppose I can go sit over there out the way." Ovelia says with a nod toward some boxes by the docks, away from the boat but still in sight. It was her way of implying that she wouldn't just walk off and be ignored, but still trying to at least give the woman the chance to be helpful. Plus at the very least it would give her a moment to talk to the others. If it was decided to try and go onto the boat, she could do it then. The last thing she wanted was to push buttons without talking with her team.

Alex watched as Ovelia struggled to convince the pirate to let her on to her ship, to no avail of course. Alex was wondering what she was expecting to do anyways, no self-respecting pirate is just going to let one of the people of the Orders just waltz on to the ship. As they walked away from the ship, Alex turned to Ovelia and said "Ok, so next time we don't tell them we're knights. Feel like it could have gone a lot better if you didn't start out with that, with the whole 'they break the law, we are the law' dynamic we have." Alex looked back at the ship. There were too many guys to attack the ship, not without backup at least. "So we wait it out now? Because storming the ship is definitely not on the table."

"Well I figured since I knew Maya it wouldn't matter...Maya knows I'm a knight and she didn't care." Ovelia said with an annoyed sigh. "I figured since she didn't mind her first mate wouldn't mind. As for what we do, I don't know. Storming it would be foolish in more ways than one and would ruin any chance of working things out." She noted. "I want to at least give them the chance of telling her..."

Mael seeing that diplomacy had failed, offered up his own idea, a mesh of the ideas Thane had suggested. "All I can think of is the sneaky approach, a mix of the two things Thane suggested earlier. We could have my construct fly up to the ship carrying a rope. It could then tie the rope to the nearest convenient place and we could use the rope to climb onto the ship. If Thane or Ovelia could perhaps forge some sort of hook, that would work better because my construct isn't really made for tying knots. Anyway, from there we would have to locate Niyol. According to what you told us Ovelia, he would be together with Maya, so he'd be in the Captain's room. Once we find that, we find Niyol. I don't have to tell you how risky this job is to perform during the daylight. It would work much better at night when there are less guards around." Man, this is so much talking... "Or, we could just wait until the wedding." Mael shrugged.

"Well, as you said doing it during the day is too risky. They have plenty of people currently here. Waiting till night has some pros and cons. It would give them time to give the message to Maya and work this out normally. It would give us time to prepare if we need to. And it would have less people out and about. Of course the downside is that the airship isn't as close to the ground so the climb would be much further at night. I'm confident in my climbing skills, however I don't know about the rest. The other downside is that sneaking aboard a ship at night would mean if we are seen it would instantly escalate and could be very bad." Ovelia noted, "I'm not very skilled at sneaking since I detest the act so I would not be a good fit for that mission."
"As for wait for the wedding..." Ovelia thought, "Well, on one hand it would certainly get us close to them. But it would probably be very public and they would certainly know what we did which would cause some unease there. I'd offer to grab him and bolt with my speed to carry him out of there, but he looked a bit too heavy for me to carry..."

"Well, I don't think i will do too well climbing, or sneaking for that matter." Thane says "Honestly im not very skilled in what would be needed for a sneaky approach, maybe we can find a low entrance? Like a porthole or something?"

"Well it's flying so you would need to climb somewhat either way." Ovelia noted. "But most this talk only matters if they don't comply with the request." Ovelia pointed out as she took a seat. "Hopefully even if the first mate doesn't relay my message at some point Maya or Niyol will appear on deck or even go somewhere for lunch. I am willing to wait till after lunch time and if no reply we can debate how to break aboard without causing a fight or diplomatic incident.

"What if we get a message to Niyol? As it stands he has a much better chance of just running out of the room and jumping overboard than we do of getting onto the ship to save him, then once we have him in tow we can beat feet and get out of here before the pirates realize what's going on." Thane suggested.

"If he even wants to escape. He can fly, I'm surprised he hasn't fled already." Ovelia noted, "However, if you have an idea for getting a message go ahead. I don't think that forcing our way onto their ship without at least giving them the chance to talk is fair...but I suppose a message isn't too bad. However, I get the feeling if it gets caught they won't be very eager to talk things over so I still suggest waiting till later." Ovelia notes, "Not that any of you have to sit around and wait. I'm willing to wait alone if you guys want to get stuff in case we have to break aboard."

As time passed until afternoon, the rude woman from before, was still working getting things on and off the boat. She was directing people, and seemingly handling paperwork.
Once lunch time rolled around she stretched, and headed into town. Presumably to get lunch.

Ovelia raised an eyebrow. As suspected, she seemed to have almost no intention of telling Maya any time soon. Well, a shame then, but she had tried peacefully. Deciding to see how others would react, Ovelia got up and walked toward the boat, stopping at the ramp to see if anyone would say anything or approach.

immediately she was stopped by two large men, "Sorry, but the first mate said you and the group your were sitting with aren't allowed on the boat. No matter what you say."

"That's fine. I'm not trying to step on the boat. She also said she would inform Maya that Ovelia Verene needed to speak with her, but it seems she was busy and missed that so I was hoping to give one of you the chance to relay that."

"She specifically gave us a message for you if you asked us to do anything." he said, "'Go eat Several bags of dicks', I'm sorry about her mouth.

Ovelia's eye twitched in annoyance. She had been trying to be respectful and polite this entire time, but her patience was fading. She wanted to say something else, but the apology for the first mate's mouth gave her a small bit of hope that maybe these guys would be easier to work with and insulting them would only diminish that, so she bit her tongue. "Ah, I see. Well thank you for the message, but did she just say to relay the message or not to do it?" Ovelia asked. "Would a bribe help convince you?" She asked.

He said, "I'd normally take the bribe and do just that."
"but she said and I quote again, 'if you help her at all in any way, it's your dicks she'll be eating." he said.

"I can assure you, I don't put anything like that anywhere near my mouth so there is no concern of that." Ovelia said avoiding the word. "And why is she so against assisting me? I showed I have an invite for the wedding, so I clearly have had a positive relationship with Lady Maya. I can understand the First Mate disliking me, but is that an excuse to keep secrets from your Captain? The First Mate is clearly hiding something from the Captain and blocking someone the Captain considers a guest. How would Lady Maya feel hearing that nobody even told her that I wished to see her? If Lady Maya was the one declining to see me, I wouldn't bother you. But the fact is you are hiding a guest from your Captain. That sounds almost like a planned mutiny. Should I be concerned for Lady Maya's safety?" Ovelia asked raising an eyebrow.
Ovelia raised her hands to make them like a scale, "The way I see it, there are two possibilities. If I am some nobody and Lady Maya hates me just telling her I'm here would cause her to say she doesn't care and I go away. If Lady Maya does like me and you are intentionally refusing to even let her know, she could end up quite upset that you prevented her from even knowing."

the man scratched his head, "Dunno. Also I dunno, I hardly know captain Maya. I'd rather not get involved with the politics of the big wigs. that stuff is way to confusing. I don't even understand what you just said. Who the fuck are you lady?"

"A guest of Lady Maya's." Ovelia said reaching into her belt to once again pull out the wedding invite. "Lady Ovelia Verene. The other day I was present when she bought her wedding dress and she helped me pick out a dress of my own. She also gave me a great suggestion for where to eat and hooked me up with VIP seats." Ovelia said. "There is really no reason I shouldn't be allowed on the boat and I'm sure Lady Maya, your Captain, would be quite upset. How many others are aboard right now? Maybe someone else can assist. She only said YOU were not allowed to help me."
