Move: Incinerate Type: Fire Frequency: At-Will AC: 2 vs Apx6Ycm|1d20+2 Damage: 2d6+92 Class: Special Range: Line 3 Effect: If a target is holding a Held Item or Main or Off- Hand item, they must either drop it immediately or lose a Tick of Hit Points. This may only cause a target to lose at most one Tick of Hit Points, no matter how many items they were holding.
Move: Light Screen Type: Psychic Frequency: Scene AC: None Class: Status Range: Blessing Effect: Blessing – Any user affected by Light Screen may activate it when receiving Special Damage to resist the Damage one step. Light Screen may be activated 2 times, and then disappears.
Gallade used Psycho Cut. (Psychic - Physical) AC 2 vs t4X|574J1d20+1 Damage: 2d10+48
Anya used Barrier.
Type: Psychic Frequency: Scene x2 AC: None Class: Status Range: Hazard Effect: The user creates a Barrier of psychic energy. The user places up to 4 segments of Barrier; each segment must be continuous with another segment, and at least one must be adjacent to the user. These barriers count as blocking terrain and last until the end of the encounter or until they are destroyed. Each Barrier segment is 2 meters tall, 1 meter wide, and 2 centimeters thick. Each segment has 20 Hit Points, 15 Damage Reduction, and takes damage as if it was Psychic Typed.
Move: Incinerate Type: Fire Frequency: At-Will AC: 2 vs ovwK2SpQ1d20+2 Damage: 2d6+92 Class: Special Range: Line 3 Effect: If a target is holding a Held Item or Main or Off- Hand item, they must either drop it immediately or lose a Tick of Hit Points. This may only cause a target to lose at most one Tick of Hit Points, no matter how many items they were holding.
Move: Psycho Cut Type: Psychic Frequency: EOT AC: 2 vs 1d20+2 Damage: 2d10+78 Class: Physical Range: 6, 1 Target Effect: Psycho Cut is a Critical Hit on 18+.
Crit Roll: 2d10+10
What on earth. Somehow the Accuracy roll for Psycho Cut has changed. It was an 18 before. Maybe it's because I edited the Crit Roll into the same spoiler. That didn't even work before and now it somehow does (I assume the administrators changed stuff).
(Ugh. I keep bumping a button on my mouse and undoing all my typing.)
The noble Gallade barely withstands the fiery assault, causing the Bright Powder it was holding to ignite, burning it further. Even as it sees its defeat coming in the form of Tenebris' Psycho Cut, it stands tall, knowing that a worthy adversary has defeated it. Anya recalls it, sending out her Reuniclus. The world lurches briefly as time in the arena begins to flow backwards once again.
Anya sends out Reuniclus. It uses Trick Room. If Leftovers can still be in effect after switching out, Reuniclus gains 2 ticks of the effect. (20 HP)
Rewinding - Round 1 (5 remaining)
In the lead once again, Reuniclus conjures a sphere of crackling, otherworldly energy and sends it hurtling towards Calypso. Anya allows a small smile to play upon her lips as she assaults Calypso with her own psionic abilities.
The combined assault of ghostly and psychic energies puts Calypso down for the count after being hammered by the attacks. Vincent recalls her and sends out a Houndoom.
"Tenebris, Superpower on Reuniclus, Brimstone Fire Fang, same target."
Tenebris charged the Reuniclus while glowing with power. After this, Brimstone also ran at the Reuniclus, jaws blazing with fire as he tried to pierce the Psychic-type's jello-like skin with his teeth.
Move: Superpower Type: Fighting Frequency: Scene x2 AC: 2 vs 1mSQ6GjE1d20+2 Damage: 3d12+78 Class: Physical Range: Melee, 1 Target, Dash Effect: Superpower lowers the user’s Attack and Defense by 1 Combat Stage each.
Move: Fire Fang Type: Fire Frequency: At-Will AC: 2 vs 1d20+2 Damage: 2d10+61 Class: Physical Range: Melee, 1 Target Effect: Fire Fang Burns or Flinches on 17-19 during Accuracy Check; flip a coin to determine whether the foe gets Burned or Flinches. On 20 during Accuracy Check, the foe is Burned and Flinches.
"Dodge those attacks!" Vincent shouts quickly. Heeding her Trainer's words, Tenebris begins to move faster, levitating out of the way of the attacks.
"Well done. Now Psycho Cut and Fire Fang on the Reuniclus!"
The Pokemon make haste to obey, shooting blades of psychic energy and rushing the enemy down with fiery jaws. Their attacks are a little weaker than before however, as they trade reaction time and reflexes for power.
Vincent binds Capricious Whirl (+3 to Evasion, -5 to Attacks) and uses Focused Command. Since Orders are Priority, that will allow Tenebris to dodge the attacks.
Move: Psycho Cut Type: Psychic Frequency: EOT AC: 2 vs 0OglHOww1d20+1 Damage: 2d10+82 Class: Physical Range: 6, 1 Target Effect: Psycho Cut is a Critical Hit on 17+.
Move: Fire Fang Type: Fire Frequency: At-Will AC: 2 vs 1d20+1 Damage: 2d10+56 Class: Physical Range: Melee, 1 Target Effect: Fire Fang Burns or Flinches on 17-19 during Accuracy Check; flip a coin to determine whether the foe gets Burned or Flinches. On 20 during Accuracy Check, the foe is Burned and Flinches.
The Psycho Cut flies towards Reuniclus, but suddenly changes course halfway there and misses entirely. Reuniclus avoids the flaming jaws of the Houndoom. It retaliates with another ball of shadow energy, still aiming at the Malamar.
Anya uses Kinesis as an Interrupt, slapping a -4 Accuracy penalty onto Psycho Cut and causing it to miss.
Move: Kinesis Type: Psychic Frequency: Scene AC: None Class: Status Range: 6, 1 Target, Trigger, Interrupt Effect: If the user or an Ally within 6 meters is about to be hit by an attack, the user may use Kinesis as an interrupt. The triggering Accuracy Roll receives a -4 penalty. This may cause Moves to miss.
Move: Swagger Type: Normal Frequency: EOT AC: 3 vs VvrNGQ5b1d20+2 Class: Status Range: 6, 1 Target, Social Effect: The target’s Attack is raised 2 Combat Stages. Swagger Confuses the target.
Move: Fire Fang Type: Fire Frequency: At-Will AC: 2 vs 1d20+2 Damage: 2d10+56 Class: Physical Range: Melee, 1 Target Effect: Fire Fang Burns or Flinches on 17-19 during Accuracy Check; flip a coin to determine whether the foe gets Burned or Flinches. On 20 during Accuracy Check, the foe is Burned and Flinches.
Confusion: Confused users cannot take Attacks of Opportunity. If a Confused user makes an Attack (even attacks without rolls), roll 1d2. On 1, after the attack is resolved, the user loses Hit Points equal to half their Attack Stat if the Move was Physical, half or their Special Attack Stat if the Move was Special, or two Ticks of Hit Points if the Move was a Status Move. The user is cured of Confusion with a Save of 16+ made at end of turn.
Reuniclus uses Psychic! (Psychic - Special)
AC 2 vs FZp2YNat1d20+1 Lowers SDEF by -1 CS on 17+. Reuniclus loses 10 HP from Life Orb on hit. Damage: 3d10+45
A shimmering screen appears between Tenebris and the psychic attack, taking some of the damage. The Malamar is looking a little worse for wear, but she can still go on fighting just fine.
"Tenebris levitate up and use Hypnosis down on the Trainer. Brimstone keep using Fire Fang on Reuniclus, you'll get it eventually."
The Pokemon carried out the orders swiftly, or as swiftly as the Trick Room allowed. Tenebris floated above the barrier and waved a tentacle at Anya and she immediately fell asleep. Brimstone, for better or worse, once again tried to find purchase within Reuniclus' skin with burning teeth.
Move: Fire Fang Type: Fire Frequency: At-Will AC: 2 vs aaPZfRFg1d20+2 Damage Base: 2d10+56 Class: Physical Range: Melee, 1 Target Effect: Fire Fang Burns or Flinches on 18-19 during Accuracy Check; flip a coin to determine whether the foe gets Burned or Flinches. On 20 during Accuracy Check, the foe is Burned and Flinches.
A glowing barrier erupts between Houndoom and Reuniclus, weakening its Fire Fang as it manages to barely scrape the floating blob.
Anya slowly drifts back to the ground, fast asleep behind her barriers.
Reuniclus seems to pause a moment, attempting to commune with its Trainer. When it cannot reach her sleeping mind, it instead goes back on the offensive, targeting the obnoxious Malamar. It hurls another Shadow Ball at it.
After Reuniclus makes its move, Anya awakens, shaking the sleep from her mind as she begins to levitate again.
The Malamar quickly floats out of the way of the powerful orb.
"Psycho Cut and Fire Fang on Reuniclus."
The Pokemon move to obey and perform the attacks, sending blades of psychic energy at the Psychic-type as well as trying to bite into it with scorching teeth.
Then Vincent feels the flow of the battle reverse. "While we have the initiative, use Topsy-Turvy on the Trainer and Fire Fang on Reuniclus!"
Relentlessly the Pokemon set out to follow the orders. The Malarmar levitated high and wiggled her tentacles, attempting to spin Anya around using telekinesis. Brimstone kept biting at Reuniclus with hot jaws.
The shimmering barrier pops up to block the Psycho Cut as Reuniclus is pressed hard. Under a barrage of physical blows, Reuniclus finally falls. Anya frowns as her empowered abilities are suddenly cut in half by the Malamar. She recalls Reuniclus, sending out Musharna. It puts Malamar to sleep. Anya sends more waves of Psychic energy out, targeting Houndoom.
The Musharna merely levitates out of the way of Bisharp's attack. It floats up out of range and focuses its attention on Houndoom. Anya sends further psychic waves at Houndoom, aiming to bring it down quickly.
The mystical baton from the beginning of the match reappears, allowing Musharna to return more easily. In its place floats a blue and yellow pokemon with a crescent moon shaped fins on its head. Cresselia.
Nasty Plot increases Special Attack by +2 Combat Stages.
Encore Performance let's Brimstone use an At-Will Move.
Move: Fire Fang Type: Fire Frequency: At-Will AC: 2 vs 1d20+2 Damage: 2d10+65 Class: Physical Range: Melee, 1 Target Effect: Fire Fang Burns or Flinches on 18-19 during Accuracy Check; flip a coin to determine whether the foe gets Burned or Flinches. On 20 during Accuracy Check, the foe is Burned and Flinches.
Cresselia weathers the super-effective fighting move with ease, the flies up out of melee range. Once at an altitude of 6 meters, it fires a rainbow-colored beam at the Houndoom. More psychic waves target Bisharp.

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.
Dec 2, 2019 19:05:30 GMT
but how else do i find games then?

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
