Aleisandra is, in fact, in today, but only for the purpose of administrative duties. The Gym is not closed, so they still accept challengers, but the primary Gym Trainers, Nathan, Drew, Amanda, and Megan are currently filling in as Temp Gym Leaders while Alei recovers from her crushing defeat at the Champion's hands (both mentally and physically). She looks up as you enter her office.
"Oh, hello girls. Was there something I can do for you?"

Lia is surprised to see that the others can be temp gym leaders, wondering if she may end up having to do that one day, but she's got other things to worry about.
"Hey boss. Yeah I got a bunch of job-related stuff to bring up as well as some stuff for my buddy Floyd but first..."
Lia shifts as she worries about what she is going to ask.
"You ok? Its just I know how I'd feel if that happened to me, and you working today is already a step above. Also you didn't swear at her until your throat was sore so I gotta respect that."

Believe it or not, she's trying to ensure that those taking the Gym Challenge are given a proper challenge, and gain a basis for what to expect should they make it to the League. As for not 'swearing at her until your throat was sore', let's just say that at least one of us in the relationship has to be the level-headed one. When Fae heard what happened, it was all I could do to restrain her from hunting down and attempting to murder Champion Lilith." She sighs, shaking her head with a smile.
"The way Fae treats me whenever I get injured, you'd think I were made of glass or something. In any case, what is it that I can do for you and your friends, Lia? Does this have anything to do with your desire to access Mega Evolution?"

Lia sighs in relief, but laughs when she mentions how her girlfriend reacted. She gives a very quick glance to Kaeda as well.
"I knew I liked your lady for a reason."
Lia nods to the affirmative.
"Yeah most of this is all Mega related. I wanted first to know if I could request the Mega item for him?
If he has to come here himself I'll let him know, I just thought I'd try doing him a solid. The other thing to him directly is that he has a Blastoise as well. I don't know if its cheaty to ask where your took you, but I thought I'd check."
Lia takes a moment to inhale before continuing.
"The job things I wanted to ask are: One, I wanted to see if it was possible to change my schedule to cluster them together. It's getting a bit hard to fly back and forth. And two, when is the earliest I can take off to go Mega stone hunting out in the sea?"

"I can certainly place an order for your friend. I just need his full name to put on the form. He'll be able to pick it up here when it arrives. I.. couldn't tell you where Valuk got his Stone. As I believe I mentioned before, it was quite a long journey, and the location doesn't exist on any human maps. Your friend will just have to trust his Blastoise to lead him to it."
"You can absolutely request a schedule change. Just let me know which days you need to move around, and we'll get it done. Of course, it won't take effect for at least a week. As for time off to go Mega Stone hunting, just put in a request for time off and I'll approve it."

"I was going to see if next week wasnt too early to take off, and then as soon as we get back we change to a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday schedule. Does all of that sound good? I can be pretty flexible. Whatever works best for you boss."

Keep in mind that you don't have that much 'off time' stored up yet, as you've barely been here a month. If that. So while I'll still grant you some leeway considering you're on your Gym Challenge yet and this is related to it, you'll have to work a bit of overtime if it takes you longer than 3 weeks. Sound fair?"

She makes a face.
"Boss, I don't half-ass things. My parents may have messed me up a little but at least they taught me that. If I didn't think I could do both the Challenge and the job, I probably wouldn't have taken it. So when I don't show up it's cause I literally can't. Like getting blown up in some strange fairy world by an Unown Psychic lady."
She gives another glance to Kaeda before returning her gaze.
"But I always take all my shit seriously. The changes I'm asking for are cause I like it here. I respect the hell out of you, now more than ever, and I like everybody out there. I wanna keep working here. But I'll take your 'worrying about myself first' advice and I'll get outta your hair. I'll cya tomorrow. Oh, say hi to Fae for me."
With that, Lia pops off the desk, and pats Kaeda on the shoulder.
"Time to roll, Kaeda."
