Kaeda nearly falls over at Lia's remark. She glares in disbelief, and mouth agape. She looks around at nothing, her mouth moving, but she has absolutely no words. She did not expect to hear that from Lia, and fucking hurt like hell. She using her entire body to fight off bursting into tears. She tries to get out a "How dare you," but she lets out a small sob before quickly exiting out the door to outside.

Lia just watches Kaeda walk out. She didn't want it to come to that, but fuck! Kaeda's reaction and words hurt more than anything she had before. She needs to know how it hurt. She calls after.
"Maybe don't act like you saw a freak instead of the person who loves you next time! Y'know, maybe if that person you saw was imprisoned and was wishing she could get out to see you again, and you respond like she died?!"
Lia sighs and takes a sip of her juice before looking to Floyd.
"You were saying?"

Floyd deliberately puts a pancake in his mouth and chews it slowly before answering.
"I was going to suggest you and Kaeda should come along to Unova. Decompress and enjoy some tourism. Beat up anyone who kicks up a fuss about your appearance. But it sounds like the two of you need to sort some stuff out first."
He says, before eating two more pancakes.

"The only stuff we have to sort out is if Kaeda's going to work with me on this or not. I love her Floyd, but if she loved me back she wouldn't react in this way."
She pushes the plate forward and calmly wipes off her mouth.
"I'm not going to go, I think. The hybrid situation is 'here' and if I wait long enough it'll be half-normal. I go to Unova, and all I'm going to a place that doesn't know what the fuck is going on. Dealing with constant stares doesn't sound like decompression."

Kaeda storms out of the ranch proper with her face in her hands as she sobbed. Orpheus pops out of her ball sensing great distress from Kaeda. "Kaeda? Are you-?" "No! I'm not ok! I cannot believe that-...Ughh!" "Please don't cry. Please calm yourself." "I'm just crazy! Is that it!? I'm just wrong with not finding this to be acceptable!? I can't feel shocked!? I can't just have a moment to take it all in?! Nope! I'm just crazy! I'm just wrong to feel how I do! I don't know what love is!" Orpheus take Kaeda's hand. "Kaeda...." "No! I may not be okay with how she looks! I may not be able to do anything about that! I may not understand what she went through while she was missing, but-...I NEVER ONCE questioned my love for her!" Kaeda pants from her screaming while Orpheus holds her trainer's arm close to her. "I know....I know..." "Well...If we just wanna throw insults around...If I need to 'cool off,' and I don't KNOW WHAT LOVE IS!?......Fine. More time apart will work wonders then!" "Kaeda...." "No....No I'm....I apologize for what I've done, but....I am not standing for that...No way...." Orpheus can only look at her sadly as she is returned to her ball. "Untill proper conversation can be had...I'll just...focus on the tasks at hand..." Kaeda sighs, and slowly makes her way to the Cerulean pokecenter.

Ok that was too far I’m sorry. It just felt like you thought I was a freak with the way you were crying, and that’s the one thing I don’t want from everyone since I woke up like this. I was upset. I had to say something.
Lia sighs and puts her dex down and holds her head.

"But if you two didn't love eachother why would both suddenly turn into Water types?" Jane prodded the pancakes with her spork. She feared that she might have to do much more of them really soon. At least Floyd looks happy!

"Yeah probably!" Jane nodded. On the bright side it didn't look like any of them would have the energy to question her staying in their house. The small things!
"Aight. Though I'm not sure anymore... Let's start from the beginning!" Jane took a deep breath. "I was just minding my own business when I saw this really really weird poké-imp thing. Looked about child-sized and very weird; naturally I followed it. And then ... I must have tripped or something. But after that nothing seemed to work; my friends didn't answer and I couldn't even find my house!"
"There were clearly something fishy going on so I went back and looked around where I saw that weird imp. And then I spotted them; Floyd and Kaeda, acting all suspicious and so. When I caught up they talked about some weird shadow organization kidnapping people and turning them into poké-hybrids! I mean it sounded really odd - but it kinda fit with what I've uh not found right? So I joined them and the rest you kinda know I guess."
"But I'm not so sure anymore. I mean, no offense intended, you look kinda odd but not nearly as much as that imp. And you speak and so on. Plus ... There's fox pokémon around. I've never seen anything like that imp before ..." Jane shrugged apologetically. "But a phone-call can't hurt can it?"

Kaeda almost just ignores the text, but she goes for it anyways. She glares at the message and types back. Kaeda types out multiple mean messages to send back, but deletes each one. She sends back a f ew words.
Sorry. You’re not a freak. But fuck me I guess.
Kaeda sighs, tosses her Rex into her bag, and stares at her new poke all. She had swiped it from that base, and it was one of those deltas, right? Well, it was as good a time as ever to start training it.

Lia listens to the story with an odd expression. That... doesn’t sound like the Sand Ni- The offshoot scientists’ MO. They just kidnapped people on their lonesome. Not sent a weird Pokémon to do their bidding but not actually take the person. And she lost her house? Hmmm.
“Ok just be ready with the names.”
Lia takes out her dex and sees the text. She sighs.
No, not fuck you. It just... hurt. Your reaction. I... never mind. We’ll talk later.
She shakes her head and then tries calling up the league, hoping they can connect her to Anya or someone in charge of the whole situation.

Lia tries to give the few names and after getting all no’s, she thanks the person and ends the call. She looks back over at the other two, after having half-listened to that conversation.

Lias still in thought on what it could be. It sounds way more strange than just a kidnapping. And really she only knows one person who knows about his weird stuff. And she’s not in a mood to call her, after doing work basically for no real reward. She still doesn’t have one of those alternate world Pokémon yet, after all. She snaps out of it when Jane brings up training.
”Oh! Ok then. We’ll pick this up later then.”
Lia gets up and puts her dishes in the sink. She starts to head deeper into the villa, but turns.
”Oh, and if it wasn’t clear, you are more than welcome to stay as long as you need. Floyd and myself own the place, so consider that an official statement.”
With that, she leaves the kitchen.
