Adventure Thread - Group A

Kaeda didn't like locked doors, but she would bust them all open when they reached the end. No choice but to keep sneaking through.

It takes quite some time, but Kaeda and Jane manage to sneak past most of the static security, though it does eventually become much tougher. At some point, they are forced to knock out a few guards and just bust their way through the rest of the facility, though by that point, a few Cinnabar Gym Trainers have joined them and make the search process much easier/faster. Kaeda nearly jumps out of her skin when her 'Dex suddenly goes off. It's a message from... LIA?!

With the aid of the Cinnabar Gym Trainers and their 'screw the walls, we have fiyah!' mentality, the search is ended quickly. There were a few hybrids kept here as well, but they were all quickly whisked away by a bunch of Alakazam wearing a tabard bearing the Indigo League insignia. Ostensibly, this is to keep them safe from the media and such, but they're fairly tight-lipped about it all. In any case, Lia seems to have escaped from a facility near Viridian with some inside help, and is currently sitting pretty at Indigo Plateau waiting for some chick to come in and ask her questions.

When Kaeda and Jane make it back out of the facility, the battle at the entrance is long over. Nothing but a handful of smoking craters and scorch marks galore. Surprisingly enough, all the 'bad guys' survived. Though many did so with second and third-degree burns. They lived though, and that's what counts.

Kaeda's dex almost drops out of her trembling hands when she sees a message from Lia. She is hot with a wave of emotions, and right before she zooms off to the plateau, she looks to Jane.
"FLOYD! Get him on the phone! We gotta go!"

"Can't reach him..." Jane responds as she hurries after Kaeda. Maybe it was her dex that was cursed? She hoped she hadn't accidentally banished Floyd to the shadow realm by trying to call him. Hmm. Hmm... Hmmm? Could that be it? Nah, too silly. Right...?

"Can you try real quick? Maybe it's just off." she offers hopefully.

Jane readily agrees to the plan, if only because it's the best way of figuring out where the heck she is. The girls arrive back at the ranch in a couple of hours. Boy are they in for a surprise.

"So, uh, I guess this will be a kinda personal moment right? I'll just give you a minute to say hi first!" Jane volunteers as they arrive at the ranch. Because she was such a thoughtful person and not because her player really needed to go to sleep

Fuck. Couldn't just see through what I was. Sasha and Celestyna did!

That only makes this harder. She looks to Scier who's gives a 'hey I can't help ya out here pal' silent expression back to Lia. She sighs. Lia's ears droop a little, and a couple of the tails wrap around her defensively.

"I... I live here. Well... partially own it. ...Babe."

Lia just looks confused at Kaeda's reaction. That's... not what she expected. She puts her Vulpix down who continues napping on the floor, blissfully unaware. Lia steps forward, reaching her arms out.

"What do you mean 'no'? Were you... what? Look, it's me. I'm different yeah, but I'm fine! I'm out, I'm ok now. I mean that's a whole story in of itself..."

Lia trails off, getting a sinking feeling in her stomach.

"Yeah ok they turned me into a hybrid, but it's not all bad... is it?"

Lia looks down at herself, very self-conscious all of a sudden. She also doesn't react well to the recoil either. It's not that bad, is it? She's still Lia, damnit. Hell, Kaeda should like this. Tails aside, she's got better hair, skin, and all her scars were gone in the process. She stops Kaeda mid-hug and stares in her eyes.

"Hey! Stop that! I'm back, I'm safe, in one piece... I'm still your fucking girlfriend! Quit acting like I died in there!"

Lia is shaking at this point. She wanted something else. Kaeda to just miss her, or hell be mad she had to try to hunt Lia down. This... This hurts. This hurts a lot.
