While the Secretary explained, Lyn looked her up and down. When she finished Lyn frowned. "Wait...I have to know Vice President right away? I can't start campaining while I look?" She asked as she looked at the book to see if anyone else had found a partner this quickly.

Vess browses the books and her pokedex with surprising ease, smirking at some of the forum comments as she checks out the book. She's have to browse it later and see what she can get out of it.
"Possibly interested. I'd like some proof you can actually do what you say though. I'll find you some other time." She turns on her shoulder and begins to head back towards Trista and Elizabeth, who seem to be talking with the other guy in the library. She calls over her shoulder to Alex as she walks away. "Name is Vess, by the way. See you around."
As she walks back up to the group, she gives Zo the standard stare and evaluate while looking mildly unimpressed. "And who is this?"

Alex nods, putting all but one of the flyers into his backpack. "My name's Alex. I'll show you something cool tomorrow, yeah?" He grins, returning Kabby to his pokeball for the first time as he headed out of the library, leaving a flyer on the door. Now would be a good time to get started on building his team, he thought. So he headed out of the school grounds, heading north into some of the mountains. A bit chillier than Mea... But he'd live. Right now, he was a man on a mission. "Alright then... Let's see what's awake, shall we?"Encounter roll XAZw4bYf1d100

Turning to face Vess when she returned, Trista answers, " He's... Zo... He seems friendly enough, but umm... He kind of scared away Elizabeth...". Not that it seemed especially hard to do, but it would also explain why the other girl had disappeared. " So, Vess? If you're still free, want to go explore Olmia for a bit? Maybe we could find something interesting?", she asked next. Since curfew wasn't for another hour and a bit, there would be plenty of time to explore, right? Unless Vess wasn't the sort to wander around at night, or even found something better to do, that is... Encounter roll, for when we go exploring for prey new friends. nc_VUZOd1d100 1d100

Gregory looked over the new boy. He looked fairly normal and kind of unremarkable, so it was weird that Dakota was bugging the boy like that. Perhaps he was from a different region? Nevertheless, Greg sot to introduce himself. “Hey there, Faron, guess you’re the mystery boy that was missing from our dorms. Awesome, nice to see a new face around. I’m Gregory, and my Horsea here is Maria. Nice to meet you, and I hope we all get along hunky dory in these dorms?” Gregory said to Faron in his usual laid back tone of voice, not really caring if Faron even noticed him. “Hey Dakota, treat Faron nicely, ok?”After introductions were done, Gregory headed over to a bit of a quieter side of the room. He set his Horsea down, and then began to dig through his pack, pulling out an old, small, and torn up journal. The thing looked positively ancient and it was a miracle it was still intact, but what little detail remained on its cover showed that it might of once been a very fancy and even high class journal. “Right, so Maria,” Gregory said to his Pokemon as he began to open up the notebook, “my Grandpa gave me this old journal of his back when he use to train Pokemon, to help me with training you and others. Now, the thing’s a little old, few of the pages have fallen out and I might of dropped it into the ocean at one point or another, but the first few pages are still relatively intact and like, super helpful, so let’s start there. Let's try to teach you something, eh?”Said first few pages where some mumble jumble about potential energy stored in Pokemon that could be let out under the right circumstances, if they had this certain ability that they could get with the right training, and oddly enough Gregory kind of understood what the journal was talking about. A few of the words and terms, like “EVs” and “Inheritance List”, he didn’t quite understand, but he did get most of the basic ideas. For the next hour or so Gregory would attempt to train Maria, trying his best to keep her focused on him while also not having his nose dug into Grandpa’s book the entire time through. Gregory used the Water Ace feature on Maria, spending two of her Tutor points to teach her the Torrent ability, as an extend action.

Vess gives another look over Zo, seeming to disapprove. He had scared away Elizabeth too? And he was dressed so fancy, it left the bad taste of Imperian in her mouth. She didn't particularly feel like meeting anyone new right now either. "Sure, let's go." She takes Trista's arm and begins leading her out of the library, whether or not Zo was in the middle of introducing himself or not. She clicks her tongue for Citadel to follow, and heads out the door. Exploration sounds fun!

Alex:You walk through the chilly streets and campus of Olmia. As you go further and further away from the town, you get into more rough terrain. You have to slow down so you don’t slip on the overabundance of ice around. Upon reaching the mile mark, you turn around, quite disappointed about not being able to find any Pokemon. About halfway back down the slight hill you had to climb, you see a rock-like Pokemon with two muscled arms trying to move a rock. You spot it too late, though, because it immediately drops the rock and curls up. Geodude used Defense Curl!Initiative Track:You can roll Pokemon Education with a DC of 5 to recognize the Geodude.

Vess & Trista:Leaving the library, you walk down to the ground floor and leave the building, Citadel rolling behind you the entire time. Excitement builds as you two walk into town, hoping to catch your first pokemon. Every turn awaits new possibilities! Why, if you get lucky, you might just find an Absol! When you turn towards the Pokemon Center, you spot a trio of wild Pokemon. There’s one that looks like purple slime, and it’s stuck on the Pokemon Center. You wouldn’t even be sure it was a Pokemon, if it wasn’t moving. The second looks like a tiny rain cloud, much like the dark, grey clouds in the sky. It’s flying around, staring up at the sky. The last one is a little pink thing with yellow “hair” and big lips. That one is just playing in the snow, and it looks like it’s trying to get the cloud one to join it. Only the grey one seems to notice you all, and it tries to give you a snarl, telling you to back off, but it doesn’t really work coming from a grey cloud.
Initiative:
- Smoochum (No turn this round)
- Trista
- Castform
- Vess
- Grimer (No turn this round)
- Citadel
You can use a Free Action to roll Pokemon Education three times to recognize Castform, Smoochum, and Grimer with a DC of 5. You have effectively surprised Smoochum and Grimer, so they will not be going this round. Castform is 3 meters in the air, and Grimer is 2 meters up on the wall.

Seeing these three pokemon, Vess smirks slightly. Perfect practice for the attempted gym battle tomorrow. She examines all of the pokemon for a moment, trying to recognize them as best she can, before pulling out her pokedex and getting a more detailed scan on the closest pokemon. As she does so, she gives Citadel a curt order. "Block off their escape and move towards them." Citadel gives a small nod and rolls forward towards the little pink pokemon, then halts, spinning rapidly as small, thorny spikes fly off its body and scatter on the ground behind the pink one. Citadel rolls forward three squares, then places 8 squares of spikes in the two rows behind the Smoochum. 2d6·2d6·2d6

Lyn:
As you look through the book, there are only four names written down.
“No, you have to find your running mate first. There have been situations where someone campaigned for Student Council president, and then won the vote, but they didn’t have a vice-president. It’s policy.”
Greg:
Faron nods slowly, the same bored, almost dead, look in his eyes. “It’s pleasant to have met you as well.”
“I am being nice! I’m just excited! Sorry Faron.”
“It’s no problem.” He says that, but he doesn’t seem like he actually cares.
Deciphering, reading, and teaching Maria the techniques takes an hour, and most of it is spent just trying to get her attention. As you start teaching her more things from the book, she starts to pay attention more, at the expense of you getting hit with small bursts of water every once in a while as she practices. At least you think she’s practicing. She seems pretty interested in the book as well, and when you go back to reading it, she keeps attempting to look at it as well. After an hour, she doesn’t even seem tuckered out. If anything, she seems more invigorated.

Lyn sighed, "Ugh...great." She muttered. "Thanks." She said before turning and briskly walking off toward her dorms. She hadn't expected to need a Vice President right off the bat and with two other groups already signed up it would give them a head start if she didn't hurry. How had people found a partner that fast? The two with the last name 'Woods' at least seemed to be family connected, but she had no idea the other group.
As she headed to the dorm she tried to figure out who she could ask. Maybe Adora? Chaika would have been an awesome choice, but she would have to find the girl and convince her while she was probably being swarmed with idiot fans. She knew Yuki, but she wasn't sure running on a double Imperian campaign would get selected even if they would be the best to lead the commoners. Sadly commoners didn't always know what was best for them.
Maybe their mysterious roommate would be there and have potential? She wasn't sure, but she had to figure out something sooner rather than later. At the very latest early tomorrow so she wouldn't be more than a little bit behind. Luckily tonight wouldn't have enough time for campaigning so if she got an early start she wouldn't actually be behind.

Alex looks towards the burly rock, moving as close as he can as he wracks his brain for what it could be. He swore he saw something similar before... With Citadel moving to block off their escape, Trista releases her Porygon between herself and the cute little wild Pokemon. The cloudy one could probably fly over the ledge, but it looked like it wanted to protect it's friends, instead. Such an adorable little thing! Sizing up the three, she also asks Vess, " Aren't they cute? Which one's your favourite?". Identifying Castform, Smoochum and Grimer. csRUc6m|2d6 2d6 2d6

Zo is surprised when the bespectaled girl flees when he talks to her. "Flighty, that one. I'll go apologise later, when she's calmed down a bit."He nods as Trista leaves with the tough looking girl who hardly pays him any attention and is seemingly annoyed with him already. Wow, I've been doing real good on the making friends department, I see. I haven't even talked to her yet! "It was nice meeting, Trista, and I'm sure we'll run into each other again." He lays on his accent just a bit, to make it nice and noticable. Didn't want people to make assumptions on where he's from, right? Having done this, and seeing Alex had also left the library, he heads outside as well. Though he originally planed on doing some training, the night was nice, and a stroll wouldn't go amiss. Who knows, he might even run into some interesting Pokémon! Zo sets of from the school, leaving the grounds in a mostly random direction, going where his feet led him. “Good going, Maria.” Gregory said with pride as he lifted the Horsea up high into the air. “Seems you’re getting the hang of it, eh?” Gregory himself wasn’t entirely sure what Maria was getting the hang of exactly, but he was sure it was a good thing.
Gregory checked his phone for the time, learning from his past mistakes at the assembly, realizing that it was in fact quite late. It probably wasn’t worth it to go out right now (besides Gregory wasn’t really feeling like stepping back into the cold once more) so he opted to just sit down on a vacant spot on the couch, Maria in lap.
“So, like, anyone check out town or the surrounding area?” He said, not really talking to anyone. “I know it’s like, super cold out, but I’m sure there’s a thing or two to do out there.” He was a bit curious about the surrounding area, especially about any potential fishing holes, but the cold and lateness and his own laziness prevented him from going out himself.

Alex:
Alex almost instantly recognizes the Pokemon as a Geodude. They were often used to help move things at dig sites. While not a fossil, it was a very popular pokemon at Mea University. Your words don’t seem to affect the Pokemon much, though, as it simply just rubs itself, trying to get the snow and dirt off of itself. Your words do draw attention to you though, and another Geodude pops out from behind a rock on the right. It makes a rumbling noise, floats forward, and rams into you. It knocks the wind out of you and pushes you back a few steps. Geodude 1 uses Rock Polish!Geodude 2 uses Tackle for 26 Physical Damage!Alex takes 18 damage from this attack. Initiative Track:

Vess & Trista:You both recognize the three Pokemon as Castform, Smoochum, and Grimer. Vess probably could recognize Grimer from a mile away, seeing as the things were more common in the poor side of Lux than many Imperians care to admit. Vess takes out her Pokedex, and the pleasant woman’s voice speaks once again. “Castform, the Weather Pokemon.Castform is able to transform its appearance depending on the weather. It uses the power of nature to transform in order to protect its small body. Would you like to hear more about this Pokemon?”
Being the only one who actually notices you all, Castform takes a moment to watch you all as you release your Pokemon. It floats down closer to the ground with a contemplative look on it’s face. Smoochum and Grimer look quite confused, Smoochum even tries to tempt Citadel to join in playing in the snow with it by throwing snow at him. Citadel, however, doesn’t budge. Grimer seems to wiggle about on the wall, it’s mouth resembling a bit of a smirk. After Citadel throws down his Spikes, though, Smoochum picks up what’s going on. With Citadel next to it, it takes out it’s tongue and licks the Ferroseed. The thing gets a mouthful of barbs, and Citadel doesn’t even look to hurt. Castform, having done it’s assessment of the situation, floats down some more. It then floats over to in front of Citadel, and pushes him back with all it’s might. Citadel bounces back, but Vess can tell it wasn’t a bad hit. Castform uses Amnesia!Smoochum uses Lick on Citadel for 13 Physical Damage!Castform uses Tackle on Citadel for 27 Physical Damage!Citadel takes 3 Damage from Smoochum’s Lick, and 8 Damage from Castform’s Tackle. Initiative:
- Smoochum
- Trista
- Castform
- Porygon
- Vess
- Grimer
- Citadel
Castform is 1 meter in the air (Melee Range), and Grimer is 2 meters up on the wall.

Seeing how eager the little cloud was to protect it's friends made Trista wonder if, perhaps, it would make a good teammate. She couldn't help but wince after the two attacked Citadel, though. It didn't look particularly bothered, mind, but that was probably more because of how tough Citadel was than anything! What can Porygon do, again? Oh, right!, Trista thought, trying to recall some of her Pokemon's abilities. " Porygon, copy Citadel's ability! Then try to shock the Castform, okay?", she directs it. While it does that, Trista takes one of the Pokeballs from her bag, and ready throw it at the Castform once it's been weakened. Hopefully it wouldn't get hurt too badly by the attack! Porygon uses Trace, copies Citadel's Iron Barbs. Porygon uses Shockwave Cannot Miss nCDJd3eq2d6+9 Special Electric damage

"I like the Castform, but I'm not here to catch anything right now. Have at it." She the observes the situation and orders Citadel forward. "Citadel, hit the Smoochum, hard." Citadel whirls for a moment and whirls forward, attempting to push the Smoochum into the spikes. Vess uses Brutal Orders. Oh, and she presses the button for more information on her pokedex.

Zo:You walk into the town of Olmia with Lipwig still on your shoulder. He manages to control himself and doesn’t chase after every shiny thing he sees. Perhaps your pep talk paid off. Looking around, you see a little bridge leading into a sparse forest. Walking into the little forest, Lipwig seems to perk up. He caws, excitedly looking around. It doesn’t take you long before you hear the smash of branches. You start hearing frantic chirps and the sound of “Nyah! Nyah!” Suddenly, a brown and white bird bursts out of the forest with a black, humanoid shaped animal with large claws, a feather, and a feline face following it. The bird starts trying to fly away, but the black animal jumps off a ledge and slashes the bird at the height of it’s jump. Both the bird and and the black thing land on the ground, but the bird doesn’t look too good. As the back animal notices you, it seems to shrink back a bit and look around for ways to escape. Sneasel used Scratch on Starly for some damage! Initiative Track:As a Free Action, you can roll Pokemon Education twice to recognize the Sneasel and Starly with a DC of 5 for each of them. As a Standard Action, you may use your Pokedex to recognize one Pokemon a turn. Starly is current on the ground and not flying.
