There are some rather heated obscenities thrown by the crystalline being, as Beatrice's shot cores through her. She pulls herself together, but not without clear effort. "Okay," she says, the composure returning. "This is unexpected. This is a small complication. Apparently this weakened me more than I thought. No matter. You don't matter. I will have what I need one way or the other."
The crystalline cage shatters, but not before Rainbow's side is lanced by a crystal. "If I cannot give what's needed to make you mine, I will take it. You and her!" Julia's composure is faltering yet again.
"Yeah, well, you made a mistake here," Alissa says, snidely, flickering behind her. "You thought there was nobody above you. And there wasn't. Until you reached beyond your status. You thought yourself a god. But you were wrong. And you have nobody to blame but yourself."
She slices off the crystalline tendrils, and delivers a stab with her sword, before pushing Julia forwards. "You take the blow, girl. I just want to soak it in." She grins.
There's a blast of energy, loathing in the pulsing of the crystalline 'face', but it barely even pushes Bea backwards.

"So many things to leave unsaid." Beatrice's jaw set as Rainbow bled on the fragment that had pierced her. Jamming the metal knife Alissa had given her between the prongs in her tail, she aimed for the center of mass and fed all the current she could through the blade. "To short lived victories..."

The immense discharge culminates in an explosion that showers over the field, scattering crystal shards (and chunks of metal knife) everywhere, most of them very, very tiny. Bea's Pokémon shelter Rainbow from it, at the very least.
In the confusion it seems like the human Julia is gone - hopefully taking that lesson to heart - and the rift in space and time is as well. All is quiet.

Beatrice tugged the crystalline thorn from her shoulder and left it bleed, doing much the same for the shard in Rainbow's side. Though this, she treated with great care before lifting the girl in her arms. "Can't take you anywhere... never letting you out of my sight again." She rested her forehead against her partner's.

It takes a few minutes, but Rainbow's eyes flutter open. "Beatrice?" she asks, blinking, before doing a laugh that turns into a cough from the dust in the air. "Oh... Bea. I'd thought I'd lost you. Where... where are we? It feels... unhealthy. Like I didn't think I'd feel again."
"Oh, Beatrice," Alissa says, walking up, and looking at Bea. "So, you finally have a name, girl. Took long enough. Rescuing the princess and all that." She looks to Rainbow. "Beatrice here went through a lot for you. You're a lucky girl."
"I know I am," Rainbow says, smiling. "The luckiest in the world. Are... are you okay, Bea?"

"You did, for awhile anyway. We're somewhen after the Dark Ages, in the chamber where we confronted Julia." She replied, bedraggled but happy enough. "...Did I forget to introduce myself?" She paused, looking suddenly sheepish. "I suppose it doesn't matter... you'll forget again... but maybe I should have led with that."
"I will be... just... had to come to terms with being right a few times too often. Let's get you back to Rustboro to recover. I have a really important question for you, when you have your feet under you again."

"Y-yeah," Rainbow says, stubbornly wriggling to her feet regardless of Bea's insistences. "Ugh. More than a stab, I feel... like a part of me's been torn. Not my body. Not much, but it definitely hurts in my feelings. I can't wait to get out of here."
"Yeah, you forgot, but, it's fine," Alissa laughs. "Look, I'll try not to forget." As she kicks through where Julia was, she bends down, and hefts a long, sharp shard of crystal. "Hmm. You guys think this'd make a good sword blade? Could go to Mossdeep, get it purified. Forge a blade from it. One last screw her."

"..." With a knowing smile she leans in and whispers two names softly in Rainbow's ear. "That sounds like a fine idea Alissa, absolutely. In the meanwhile though, I have a fairy princess to take home and a proposal to make." She laughed, but the sound wasn't quite as clear as it had been. Emotionally raw was a good way to describe it. Maybe she was just in shock, but a day had been won in the past, present, and future.

"Well, I'll make sure you get back," Alissa says. "Don't worry. My quest was finished today. Not about to let you bite the dust after that."
"Unless you want to span from here? Just... get out of this time?" Rainbow asks. "Go to our destination? I still have enough stone. And... things aren't as oppressive right now."
Indeed, the skies have seemed to have mostly cleared up, and the light filters down.

"If you're feeling strong enough, then let's go have our happy ending Rainbow." Bee smiled warmly, stroking the other girl's cheek. "Alissa, it was a pleasure fighting with you, and knowing you. Thank you for the company in these difficult moments. Alright you two, my hands are full so you'll want to tuck yourselves away, we're having us a ride." With her Pokemon securing themselves, she considered the stormy sky.

"I should be thanking you," Alissa says, with a small smile. "All these years, and I couldn't do it... and then you just walked right in here."
"Almost feels a bit empty. Well, emptier. Well... it'll all end sometime. Good luck. Fare well on your journeys."
"Thank you," Rainbow says, giving a smile, before she takes Bea's hand. And once again, they find themselves soaring through the timestream. Far away from the darkness, until it at last recedes. And then Bea and Rainbow find themselves laying on a beach, the sounds of a city behind them and a busy waterway ahead.
It's Rustboro, in her home time. They made it. Rainbow breaks out in relieved laughter, just lying there on the beach. "Aw, man, this is going to take forever to get out of my wings."

Stroking her partner's bangs to one side, she leaned in to admire the girl's face. "We'll have plenty of time. If you ever see another Celebi, you should make sure to thank it. It found me stranded outside of time, and put me right when I needed to be. For you it might have been seconds passing, for me it was an unknowable period and then a day and a half. Thinking I had lost you, and that we were stranded.". Gently, minding the bandages, she pulled Rainbow on top of her to get the girl out of the sand.
"I don't know how you do it back home... And I would want to wait for Brooke to make anything official... But I hope you'll consider taking my name."

"Oh... I've never met one. But in that case, I'm grateful," Rainbow says. "I saw you as I was pulled away. I was worried. So... I have it to thank. For rescuing you, and for helping you to rescue me." She flushes. "It's always you having to help me. Never the other way around."
"O-oh," she says, flustered, after Bea's proposal. "Well, you know, to be official, you have to do a big ceremony, and flowers, and- I'm kidding," she says, laughing. "This is good enough. And it sounds good. We can talk more when we get back. But the future is looking promising," she winks.
They just lay there for a time, before there's a bit of movement above. "Well, look at who the tide dragged in." A familiar pink-scaled girl stands next to them looking down, and giggling. "Been a while. Certainly only recognized one of you at first. Can't believe you stopped in Rustboro - and the beach especially - without saying hi." Jasmine gives a slight wave down. "Sorry, was I interrupting something?"

Beatrice laughed and beckoned Jasmine over. "Not at all, Rainbow and I were just talking about a future together. Want to join us? I haven't been disappointed yet. I'm not much for swimming anymore, but life has never been better."

"I dunno... joining talk about a future together seems pretty heavy," Jasmine teases. "Nah, good for you. Sure, I'll take a seat, and you can fill me in on how things've been. You definitely seem way happier than the last time you were here. I'm glad."The day passes fast in pleasant conversation, and activities, and it soon bleeds into another and yet more. Finally able to unwind, now that the threats to their happiness are truly gone. It's not the end of their adventures, though. Merely the beginning. Adventures of fun, and exploration, and building a web of friends and family in a time that they've freed from darkness. But before all of that, there's just one thing left.
Mica LaBrasta's day was like any other, just enjoying retirement, and the memories of adventures past. Quiet in Fallarbor, like always. But that quiet is swiftly interrupted by a knock at the door. An unexpected visitor. How peculiar. But confusion swiftly turns to excitement when she sees who's behind it. Not all is recognisable, but the shining face of her granddaughter is unmistakable. And she's with a lovely young lady, too. It's the face of someone who's seen a lot of adventures, and was brave enough to take the plunge. A face she couldn't be more proud of. The children and grandchildren all have to leave the nest sometime, and the person in front of her seems to have soared. "Beatrice!" she says, beaming. "It's been a while. But it seems like you've been having a good time. I'm so proud. Please... come in, take a seat, and catch these old bones on what you've been up to before you have to go again. And, besides, it seems that you've got someone to introduce me to..."The End. And, just as much, The Beginning.
