"Well, then don't say you're all right, silly!" Rainbow says, lightly pushing Bea in the arm, sighing, exasperated, though with a bit of a giggle. "C'mon, let's get you to the apothecary. There shouldn't be anything else around, otherwise they'd have joined in already."
As the group collects the birds and ensures they are dead, Rainbow looks to Bea and says, "You really have to learn to be able to accept help. I know you're good, but you can't do everything on your own, after all!"

"I'd have been fine accepting help if it was timely, but I was more concerned with the safety of the ones under attack and the first impression we made on Lilycove with it." Bee explained in a quiet tone. "If we hadn't intervened, what we are doing on a larger scale anyway... and something had happened, would we see assistance, or scorn?"
Leaning against Rainbow, Bee took a moment to just breathe. "I'll try not to get in over my head too deep."

"Just be careful," Magnolia says, brusquely. "sometimes failing to wait for a moment can lead to all failing, instead of succeeding as a group."
The birds are collected, though, and the group makes it back to Lilycove without incident. Entering the gates of the wooden walls (scratched and scorched in places), a city of structures stands forth. Far less natural than Mossdeep, there are also more people up and about, moving around. They seem a lot more interested in standing strong, rather than hiding. Not being able to clear most of the lands around in the same way as an island probably helps with that choice.
The others take the food to, well, somewhere, while Rainbow takes Bea towards the Apothecary. Magnolia insists that she just needs to sleep it off, and won't hear a word otherwise.
"Oh, Tiana's in," Rainbow says, seemingly recognising one of the people in healers robes in the Apothecary, a woman who could look almost human but for a greenish tinge to her skin, and red and blue petals around her wrists. "She's good, took care of me last time that I was in."
"What was that for," Tiana asks, as she glances over Bea's injuries and begins to lead her towards a place to lie down.
Rainbow flushes for a moment, before admitting "...shark bite."
"Oh right!" Tiana says, laughing, "I remember you. You were the one who came in with one of the little ones off your foot, because they just rocket right out of the water. Gotta fly a bit higher than usual here." She turns to Bea. "So, how are you feeling? Where hurts most?" There's a bit of a calming scent in the air that seems to numb some of the pain, at least.

"We had to deal with one of those back home, no wonder you were so spooked." Bee comments woozily as she lifts her top to show the rent in her side, sparking and hissing at the brush of the fabric along the injury. "It really tore into a cut one of its friends made." Her eyes were watering fiercely, and she kept her attention off of it. She didn't want to panic or faint now.

"Ah, okay, hmmm..." Tiana frowns. "Okay, well, it looks bad, but not critically. We'll get that all cleaned and bandaged up. But, you're going to have to stay here for the night." She hurries off to get medicine and bandages, while Rainbow bends down next to Bea.
"It'll be okay. You'll be okay, I'm sure of it." Her voice is wavering a bit, and there's maybe some tears, Bea can't tell. A hand grabs her own, squeezing lightly. "I'm not going to lose you now. Not after what we've been through."
"Please be okay, Bea. You're feeling okay... right?"

"It's going to be alright Rainbow." She soothed, though Bee still wouldn't look at the injury. "It hurts," Though Bee didn't specify how much she was looking a bit green for it, "but that pain will pass, we did a big favor for Lilycove. If it makes the end of our journey, and you, safer, then it was worth it."

"Okay. Okay," she seems to just repeat the words, just to make it true. "I'll make sure to stay by your side here," she says, squeezing. "I don't feel like I could sleep in any of the rest houses tonight, anyways..."
"Thankfully," Tiana says, as she arrives back and moves to put some stinging poultices on and bandage the wounds, "it looks like it was a fairly clean wound, so hopefully shouldn't be infected. This should hopefully get it to heal over tonight. Do you need anything else right now? I'll check up again in an hour or so, see how you're feeling."

"I do need to restock my first aid kit, and my emergency kit, but I don't know what is used in this period." Bee explains to Tiana after a sharp inhale. The poultice was less soothing then she had expected. "Is an emulsion of antiseptics mixed with zested Oran and sitrus still standard care?"
Laying partially against Rainbow, she got her bearings. "Oh, and what do I owe you for the care?"

"Well, we'll see what we can get you after you're healed," Tiana says. "But just keep still and lie straight down for now. I don't want the bandages to break. You have a good eye for the berries, though." Rainbow shifts so that Bea's still able to touch her while also following the medic's instructions.
"Oh, you don't owe anything. We take care of people here, they shouldn't have to work it off. If we did that, people sure wouldn't want to come in." She laughs. "Don't stress yourself over it."

"Break?" Doing as she was instructed, lying straight and still, she turned her head to look at the poultice. Some sort of cloth soaked in medicine with herbs packed into it. The scent coming off of it was quite strong, alcoholic, which explained the pain. As it dried, it would harden. That made sense.
"Thank you Tiana, where I am from there is at least a fee... Things are very confusing here sometimes." Bee explained in a low tone, eyes mostly lidded. Her gauntleted fingers idly brushing through Rainbow's bangs. Her attention slid to the girl who had been her constant companion for months.
"How are you holding up?" A wry smile tugged at the corners of her mouth.

The healer gives a smile, though it's a little confused. "Well, don't worry, you don't have to do that here." She does turn to Rainbow, though saying quietly, "Keep an ear on her, let me know if she starts babbling weird things. That'd be a bad sign that she probably bled out too much."
"Don't worry," Rainbow says, "I'll stay by her."
She smiles a bit when Bea asks her question, giggling softly. "Well, I don't have a fanged fish hanging off me this time, so... that's an improvement over the last time I was here." She gets a bit quieter. "I've never really had to think about the loss of anyone close to me before. I guess... Dad, but around home, it always seemed so safe. It didn't really cross my mind. Nobody else that I was close to was ever in more danger than I was. And it feels different having someone you love in danger, rather than yourself. Even Dewford never really felt like this..."

"I have a hard time telling if any of this is real anymore Rainbow. We've deviated so far from any semblance of normalcy that I might've held or imagined." Beatrice admitted, her red eyes roaming the ceiling. "Dewford we were still strangers with a mutual interest." She pointed out quietly. "Before that little night of experimenting with -very- postmodern progressive relationships." Her cheeks colored and the girl devolved into a fit of buzzing laughter, then coughing.
"I have someone I love, that loves me back... who isn't a Pokemon even. Not a full one anyway." She playfully rolled her eyes. "I'm putting myself in harm's way for something that is of incredible importance but wouldn't have mattered in my lifetime... I bled for someone today because I was rash, and I'm being so calm about it. Tell me you're not just some fantasy I've had because I was painfully lonely?"

"Nope, I'm as real as anything," Rainbow giggles, as she gently boops Bea's nose. "It is... definitely fast, I admit. But the circumstances of it all, well... I feel like it's as far from normal as either of us could have expected, eh?"
"And, I mean, really," Rainbow teases, "do you think you could have imagined me?" She winks.

"Not in my wildest fever dreams, honestly." She smiled tiredly and rested her cheek against the back of one of Rainbow's hands. "I wonder if steel types even can get infections? I should have learned more about Solenoid's anatomy before doing this. My skin definitely blunts most of the common attack forms... and they don't go nearly as deep as they would have were I still human."

"I mean... you're still human enough," Rainbow chides, gently. "And that's what makes us special. No matter what happens, we're still human within. We live, we love, we laugh. Even if much of your insides are not, there's still you inside inside." She smiles. "You should rest. Do you need anything before that, though?"

"No, just your company." She smiled placidly. "I have a lot to learn about this time still, things are much less transactional then when I am from. Don't fret too much, alright?" Giving Rainbow's shoulder a loving squeeze, the girl let her eyes close and drifted off.

When Bea wakes up again, from the light streaming in, it looks like it's midday. Her side hurts a lot less now, and it's a lot easier to think clearly. Rainbow looks like she hasn't really moved, besides pulling up a chair next to the bed, and falling asleep in it - the state that she's in now.

Gingerly, she feels along the tenderness in her side, without disturbing the poultice. "So this is how medicine is treated in this time period. Social benefit in the same way we once treated Pokemon..." She murmurs softly to herself, affectionately stroking Rainbow's cheek to rouse the girl.

"Hmm? Huh?" Rainbow asks, groggily, her eyes fluttering open. "Wha? ...oh. I fell asleep," she says, flushing. "Sorry. Do you need me to get you something?"
The area around is quiet, there's a different healer in the corner glancing over at them, but seemingly content that they're not causing issues or needing any help at the moment.

"I think I should be alright to get up and move about now. Poultice has dried too, if they intended on replacing it. Pain is down substantially, and my head isn't foggy." She was similarly thankful for the lack of the strange, vivid dreams of the previous night.
