"Right to business. I like it." Ori gave the meditite and approving nod as she moved to follow. She smiled as Benji captured and named his new friend. It was good that her traveling companions were getting stronger already.
"Sapph. We're going to follow our friend here. No biting or pouncing... yes?" She addressed her own feral pokemon, waiting for some sort of acknowledgement that she understood the expectation before they carried on.
"Benji, how much of the tunnel is still considered green? I'd hate to wonder into something too dangerous, especially with Sapphire not at 100%."

"Cheri, shush! You're scaring our new friend." The bird pouts and sits behind Jean-Marie, a soft thud coming from the spot where her egg hits the dirt in the cave. Jean Marie continues to hold out the sandwich, smiling warmly.

Benji quickly grabs his pokédex and checks the pics. "Oh, there's still plenty of tunnels marked green," he says, showing Orianne the screen. "See? We could still explore for a while."[ He then takes a look at the meowth. He hadn't notice she had taken much damage from her fight.
"Do you need something for Sapphire? I still have quite a few bottles of water if you need. Or potions!" he says, showing the girl the contents of his bag, which did, in fact, contain quite a few bottles and vials, as well as some berries carefully packed.

The newly named Maha nods, smiling once again. "Ma, ma cha!" It seems like he's okay with the name. He looks over to the Meditite and approaches her, the two seeming to quickly start discussing something.
Sapph doesn't exactly look happy about it, but she nods at Orianne's reprimand, and eagerly drinks the refreshing water, gaining a bit more vigour as she does so.
Robin, Jean-Marie, Vess
The Sandshrew seems to calm down slightly as Jean-Marie scolds Cheri and she moves out of line of sight, and it happily takes the offered food, quickly scarfing it down. When it finishes, it starts looking around, as if trying to find something.

The Sandshrew seems to be looking around the area where the Drilbur was talking with Vess, presumably trying to find her.

Vess catches the confused Sandshrew out of the corner of her eye and sighs, releasing the Drilbur. She glances at the sandshrew. "I was hoping to wait before deciding on a name, but if you're lonely..." She pauses a bit in thought, then looks to the Drilbur. "I'm going to call you Vehemence, I suppose."

Benji smiles as Sapphire drinks the water, feeling good for helping out. He then takes the bottle back and puts it back in his bag, not wanting to leave thrash on the caves. He watches as Maha starts discussing something with the meditite before looking on his map again.
"Well, if you're feeling better, I think we should get going," he says as he starts moving. "There's still plenty of room to go and much time left before our deadline. Maha," he says, testing the name he gave his machop. "Could you and your friend warn us if we're about to go some place dangerous? You can talk all you want on the way, just give us a heads up, ok?" he says with a smile, before getting back onto the main tunnel and following it down to the next intersection.

It takes a couple more minutes of walking before you two reach the next side tunnel, a tight, low tunnel, not high enough to walk upright in. You do notice that two of the tunnels that were marked on the map aren't there anymore, as you spot two places roughly where to should by where the wall consists mostly of rough rock and rubble. It would seem some of the tunnels have collapsed recently.
Jean-Marie, Robin, Vess
The Drilbur looks at Vess when she gives her her new name, seemingly thinking, before finally nodding. It then walks over to Jean-Marie and the Sandshrew and begins to converse with the small pangolin. After a few minutes of Pokémon noises, the Sandshrew nods uncertainly and walks closer to Jean-Marie, awkwardly tapping at her knee.

Benji stops to check the collapsed tunnels, marking their positions on the map. He then quickly examines the walls of the remaining tunnels. "Huh..." he says, putting his pokédex away. "A few tunnels have caved in, but from what I can tell it was some outside force, not some structural fragility. Probably a pokémon," he explains, turning to Orianne and the pokémon.
"It should be safe, although a bit uncomfortable. What do you think?" he asks, both to the girl and their local guides.

Jean-Marie melts a little bit when the shrew touches her leg.
"Je t'adore ma petite souris... Ah, Souris! Yes, I think that shall be your name now. How does that sound, little one?"

The Sandshrew nods, still seemingly unsure, and looks back questioningly at the Drilbur. Vehemence sighs, walks over to Jean-Marie, and taps one of the Pokéball attached to her belt, before pointing at the Sandshrew.

"Hah, don't worry about it!" he says, crouching down. "It has enough space for us to walk a little bent, I'd say," he starts moving forward. "Just don't touch the walls and you should be fine. Maha, can you help Orianne out with that?" he asks his machop with a wink.
He barely walks a few steps before his curiosity gets the best of him. "Why did you father use to say that? Is he a miner?"

Robin chuckles as the Sandshrew disappears. "Gotta love making friends, am I right?" She gives a smirk to Jean-Marie. "Also, just so you know, if you do anything to hurt the little guy, I'm murdering you in your sleep. You know, just FYI," she shrugs and turns, not lingering on the probably-a-joke as she looks further down the tunnels.

As she turns around Jean-Marie notices a faint sparkle farther down into the tunnel.
"Robin, do you see that glint over there?"
