Alterations in rules:
- Max trainer classes are 5 + martial artist (so 6) instead of 4
- Trainers gain these 2 bonus features: Martial Artist class + Martial Training Rank 1; you need not qualify for this class in order to gain these features as a bonus; you can choose to spend your own features on improving this class, you do need to qualify for those if you do so (example if you want martial training rank 2, you will need to be an expert in combat)
- You’re allowed to take up to 2 elemental/mystic sense classes (or even combine one with the other)
- Trainers gain a bonus of one elemental connection or mystic senses feature
- Trainer Advancement Bonuses gain both the stat and feature/edge bonus at respective levels (instead of having to choose between stat or feature/edge)
- The Pokemon limit for a trainer will be 3 instead of 6 (a hunter can have 2 at lvl10+ and 3 at lvl20+)
- Trainer HP will have an alteration in the formula where they get their trainer level x 3 instead of x2 to their HP. This formula is already modified in the template sheet
- Pokemon will not gain exp, instead they’re always double the level you’re at
- Milestones for leveling will be renamed to Growth Points. This game will take you from lvl10 to lvl35 in a single story arc, spread throughout 4 chapters. Level progression might be quite a bit faster than you’re used to.
- If you ever teach your pokemon hidden power, you can choose the type of the attack
- When you encounter a pokemon on your wishlist, tell me which nature you want it to be
- You can fight with it for thematic purposes, some of them will attack you straight away, others will be more friendly
- When you throw your Pokeball, we’ll engage in a spirit clash. Think of a higher dimension where both your soul and the pokemon’s soul is, where time has no effect, and language or speech is not a barrier. Your souls get to communicate with one another. The pokemon might have dreams and goals, you have dreams and goals. The pokemon might have principles and values, you have principles and values. You’ll converse to see whether you both believe in a long term partnership with one another.
