"You're putting your life on the line..." the time traveler says in response to Bea's protests, but lets it drop.
"Just don't make me regret it, 'kay?" she says, before shaking the offered hand. Her skin is smooth, chitinous, and cold to the touch, feeling almost more like a skeleton than a person. "You seem like you're good enough people, and you didn't go skulking off while I was away, but..." she sighs, "old habits die hard. Literally in this case, I suppose."
Rainbow thinks at Bea's question, before shaking her head. "You said it best already. Much thanks for all that you've done. I hope that with this, and the information that you've given, that all can be fixed."
There's a bit of a mournful, echoey cry coming from the direction of the water. "Wonder if that's your ride," Alyssa says, while Rainbow hovers up into the air to look above the rubble. "...looks like it," she says. "Ready to go, Bee?"

I'm not going to say it was damage, but it was damage.

Gingerly taking the case from Alissa, Bee let it rest at her side for a moment, looking down at it. "We'll get a lock for this as soon as we make landfall. Idle curiosity isn't going to spread this if I can help it." Tapping her cheek thoughtfully, she shook her head. No, there were too many factors to consider in trying to pass a message through time. Memory and inclination being factors, future shifts in timeline if such a thing were possible and more.
"Let's go Rainbow, we need to rest and get Lapras away from here. Crassi and Solenoid will have to be enough to get us home."

The Lapras pulls away as soon as they're onboard, seemingly very happy to get away from the island. Once they're a fair bit away, calm beneath the moon, Rainbow says "I didn't want to say anything. When nothing can change, what's the point in knowing that you'll be existing for an eon? Seeing everyone you know and love die. I couldn't do that to a person. She didn't need to know."

"I understand, but letting her know before those events come to pass might see her cherish the years before the world ends up the way it does. It can't be a happy, or pleasant life, guarding something that threatening and ending anything that might upset the balance you try to maintain." Bee replied tiredly, reclined against Lapras' neck.
"I won't press it further. We have your sample, now it is a matter of keeping it safe and finding that lab, but that is some time off yet. The next two days, we can unwind, maybe find you a partner of your own, spend more time with Maddie and the gang, and I will try the gym once more. My notes alone will take hours tojot down, but I am tired and rambling. I just... Don't want you to be without protection if I fail, you know?"

"How do you think she'd react," Rainbow says, as the Lapras drifts on, "learning that it will all be in vain? That she might have killed who knows how many just to stop it from getting out. I worry about what it might do to her psyche if it turns out it was all pointless. And that's just dealing with the past. Most everyone who I've talked to about things in the future if I've spanned backwards... they are rarely happy to know what they'll do, where they'll end up."She sighs. "Hope... it's the thing that keeps a lot of people going, in the absence of all else. And learning the future... often it all drains away. I don't want to do that to her.""I appreciate the offer of Pokémon... but, again, if I fail... it will simply falter. I could not bond, knowing that there may be loss that could have been prevented had I not done that." She shakes her head. "I'm sorry but... I'd much prefer to simply take the time to unwind. And... if you fail, there's probably nothing that I could do that could compare, anyways."Bea's able to just lean against the Lapras, who hums a bit of a lullaby, until the Pokémon paddles in to the northern dock of Rustboro in the earliest hours of the morning, amidst the fishing and recreational boats. End Episode 2
