Victoria - Adventure Thread (Johto)

Whitney reassures Victoria that she's not stalking her or anything. She actually was craving seafood, and this is the best place to get it. She says that it was honestly just luck that she bumped into two of her besties! When she heard (through the grapevine) that Victoria earned her 7th badge defeating Jasmine, she hoped to celebrate with her; so, here they all are!

The girls all go partying to celebrate Victoria's latest win. Then they all wind up back at Victoria's ranch to celebrate even more. Whitney crashes at Vicky's place while Vicky and May have happy-fun times in their bedroom.

Whitney, it seems, had a bit too much partying last night and has a nasty hangover. Thus, her usually cheerful mood is somewhat dulled. Once she gets some food in her, though, she bounces back pretty quick. She says she was getting burned out on the whole 'Gym Leader' shtick, and wants to travel around again. In answer to the obvious question of 'how', Whitney lets Victoria in on a little-known secret. There's more than one Whitney. Through a combination of ditto cells and other genetic mumbo-jumbo, Whitney will pretty much stay young until she hits, like...eighty or something. She also has de-facto clones.

It's a whole thing, but the gist of it is: a very small handful of Whitney fans get to actually be Whitney. She teaches them the ins and outs of being her, and whenever she wants, she can ask one of them to step in for her. It's kinda like having body doubles. The League knows about this (they funded it, after all), but Whitney is actually the only Gym Leader to do this before the traditionalists involved with this managed to get it overturned. Make it illegal to do anymore. Even for VIPs. Because it was... unnatural or something. Whitney thinks they're being silly, as it surely can't be any more unnatural than human-Pokemon hybrids, which they (begrudgingly) allow.

Point is: You get the 'OG' Whitney (and she can prove it, too), while a 'Whitney-Clone' takes her position as Gym Leader in Goldenrod. This also means, of course, that Whitney only has some of her Gym's backup Pokemon with her. The ones that don't get used as often. This is, as you might expect, because her primary Pokemon are too recognizable.

"Sooo...yeah. Here I am!" Whitney grins sheepishly.

Whitney looks away with that sheepish grin of hers. "Maaaayybe..." She laughs. "Yeah, you caught me. That's definitely a big part of it."

Whitney quirks an eyebrow at the 'dungeon' part, and May seems to think that even without Whitney's primary team with them, having another person would be helpful.

"Y-yeah. I guess. We should probably fill Whitney in if she's coming with, though." May acquiesces.

Whitney is pretty dang sure that thing was not a Pokemon. Pokemon can't do that, last she checked. Petrifying people, moving through the earth as if it were water, none of that! Even pure Ground-Type Pokemon still displace the soil they dig through! Whitney is honestly with May on this one: best to stay far away from something like that. On the flip side though, she's totally down to poke around a new dungeon with Victoria and May!

"I mean, if you're cool with that." Whitney replies. It's not like Victoria has a shortage on space, so naturally that answer's gonna be 'absolutely'.

Whitney grins. "Don't think that 'enforced dress code' escaped my notice, girl!" She laughs. "But yeah, I figured I'd just hang with you guys for awhile."

Whitney grins. "Well, I was content to just enjoy the show unless you brought it up! But as for food, I'll just have whatever you're making! I'm not particularly picky."
